Out on a hike from Sumner to Godley Head, taking in the views, the sunshine, the wind, and of course trying to find a few caches.I almost gave up since the toilets are now fenced off and I didn't want to climb the fence. Turns out there is not need to do this. Phew!
Took a while to find, did after walking godley head. Cache smelled a bit yuck too TFTC
We are camping nearby and ventured out for a walk to explore the area. What a great spot this is!Found the cache, but the logbook is sodden.Have attached a pic. Thanks for the cache.
Ahhh another unexpected oldie! Always a pleasure to come across these. I found the poor old fella just sitting in the middle of the concrete, upside down, full of some foul smelling liquid. I did a bit of field maintenance and returned it to the bush right behind the T intersection in the concrete. Photo attached in case Ive done it wrong.
Thought so many pieces of litter and spray cans were the cache but couldnt find it
We’re on a group hike so there’s not much time for geocaching! Greetings from New Hampshire, USA!
Today we hiked the Cliffwalk between Sumner and Lyttelton. Beautiful landscape and a few geocache, perfect.
Found this one on our hike from Sumner to Lyttleton. Fantastic views and interesting places on the way. Tftc!
Beautiful day for a family walk and this cache was a welcome distraction for two tired kids! Thank you.
Nice quick find while visiting with tmann421 today
Enjoyed the history on a warm muggy day

Out for a New Years day walk with Waiiti20 and Ricky_Reindersnz. A breezy walk but stunning views, some great history lessons, and plenty of sunscreen required. TFTC
Spoke with the caretaker from D.O.C will be awesome once restorations are finished
Nice east find for the kids and a beautiful day for a walk. Thank you for the cache
Back in the big city for a search and rescue workshop weekend so a great chance to knock of a few more caches...
Spending a few hours around Taylor's mistake
Nice quick find tftc

Sat down to log this and sat on a spike. It was easier than I expected to find. Tftc
The snap lock inside is well torn but everything seems dry enough! Quick find here with little foot traffic. Thanks.
TFTC, great place for a cache. Great track network in the area, and lots of people taking advantage of them!
Enjoyed this track and learning the history of the area. A hasty search required with muggles approaching. The hint is perfect and the cache was located successfully. TFTC.
A nice long walk around the heads with some great caches! Perfect early morning adventure for a Sunday! And I finally made my way here also!! TFTC!!
We enjoyed the beautiful weather and the nice walk around Godley Head. Obviously, we could not leave a geocache with such a fitting name unfound. TFTC
Up here with the kids to see the newly redeveloped turrets... Thought we would take the long way there to catch this cache. Nice easy find. Thanks
With part of the Summit Road still closed I took the anticlockwise route down to Lyttelton and took the windy road to Godley Head. A short walk to GZ and the hint item was obvious so the cache was quickly Found. Great views and a very blue ocean under a blazing sun. Tftc
Enjoyed the circular coastal walk starting and ending at Taylors Mistake. Very little shade on the the track to happy to cool down in the nearby sheds. No trouble finding the cache. Thanks.
After a very windy night and not a lot of sleep we decided to go for a short walk before heading to Lyttleton in readiness to catch the ferry to Quail Island.
This was the first find of the morning, we were here and had found the cache and had a good look around before the first of the runners went past.
The cache was a nice easy find in the first place I looked, I signed the log and returned it as I had found it. The log is in great condition in this one.
The history is very interesting, so we took our time to have a read of the information panels, just a shame that some think it is okay to graffiti these old buildings.
The scenery around this area is just stunning, especially on a calm clear early morning.
Thank you for placing the cache which provided the motivation to come and visit the area. We will come back when we have more time to explore further.
Thank you for the smiley

Nice to find a good sized cache and an older cache too. A beautiful sunny day to be out enjoying the walk.

A good sunny day, cannot resist to go out and do some walking+caching. We went to Godley Head Trail, one of the go-to option.
Had a good walk and caching day, nice!
Had passed by this place many times but never know there is a cache! Took so long time being along the bushes but at last laughed at myself how wrong I was.

On a mission with Shannonp1 to clean up some Port Hills Caches. Had an awesome day but a big day. On our way before sunrise and the sun was setting on the Kaikouras on our way back down to the swamp. Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches. A special thanks to the Chch MEGA team for all their effort on the DT series as well. Apologies for the bulk log.
