Sunday funday! We got up early and headed to Jordon Springs for breakfast. It was quite nice and one of the yummiest mochas I have had in a while. After that we met up with our friends (fitzy_1965, minniek, Joolay, contesta, Flintstones, Aquilus1 and sacada) to cache up to Katoomba and back. The day had its good points and bad:Good - great company, fabulous views, amazing places, finding caches and fantastic food. Bad - too many muggles, AL and Geocaching App meltdown. So frustrating! We found a handful of caches and got back to Penrith for an awesome dinner at Ros Niyom which was so delicious and the staff amazingly attentive. Not hard though, as we were the only ones there - everyone else was probably watching the NRL Penrith v Storm (Penrith won). We did a few caches on the way home after dinner before the roads got busy with very happy residents. This cache: Although the App was playing up we had other Apps which still worked so we found this one quick and all good. Tftc!!!
With the Canberra Penrith invasion group we found this one a bit damaged but signed as CPI24 Kutgw
Find # 129076/10/2024 Caching adventures continue in Day 2 of the long weekend. Ticking off some of the Katoomba caches as well as many on the solved ones around Penrith as we can. Fabulous weather for caching, and great to get some warmth too! this is one such cache, found and signed CPI24! for Canberra Penrith Invaders - consisting of Joolay, Tankengine, dty73, Youban, Sacada, Flintstones, minniek, Aquillis, and Fitzy65. All caches located, retrieved, signed, and replaced. Thanks archer101au for Peter Carroll Field
Chooo ooo [Found] with dty73 and youban and a bunch of other Canberra invaders! Signed CPI Canberra Penrith invasion! on a caching invasion of Penrith! Thanks archer101au!
A cache trip to Penrith and the Blue Mountains with a large group from Canberra, signing with CPI24. A number of caches planned and others added on the fly. A fun group outing on a beautiful spring weather day. This cache: container squashed under big rock with wet paper. Thank you archer101au for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
container is a little crushed. log is damp and plastic bag is damaged. still findable and u can write on it but probably needs some tlcnice spot tho, the nearby path is a cute little walk! TFTC!
Over in Canberra to attend the Easter Mega with tmann421Tons of caches done while here and this was one of them.Enjoyed the touring around and all the containers foundLog signed tm/ww NZThanks for the placement and the effort put into maintaining these hides for us to find.
*In the area with woolwood9.* We soon managed to get the container found here! SL *tm/ww NZ*Thanks for the reason to stop and I appreciate the effort in setting up these caches!*
Cache container has been crushed making it difficult to access the logbook. The logbook is also saturated.
Tftc. Found quickly with Red_ear_slider. In spite of the damage to the cache we were able to get the logbook out and sign it.
Been quietly enjoying the area from this quiet little location and it has been so good to us in a place so hard to find parking!! Thanks community!!
Great quick grab while driving past, and couldn't resist exploring along the path for a while ....../ ).....' /---' (_____.TFTC . ((__)..... _ ((___)....... -'((__)--.___((_)
i walked to here from my hostel on lovel street katoomba late at night in the rain and fog. i have no idea if there's a view or the surrounding looked cool because i couldn't see a thing. cache was found surprisingly quickly however.thanks for taking me here with a geocache!
Quick spot and CIH, interesting choice of this cache. With TBs Canadian Flag and Swiss Duck in tow.
So planned a day to the blue mountains today. Want to do some hiking and hoping to find some geocaches as well.
Took the train from Parramatta in the morning and then walked from the station to Echo point enjoyed the view and walked further to the cache site. Looked around and walked further down to the coal mine near the Scenic cableway. And because the furber steps were closed turned back around and went back the same way and up all the stairs and continued with the Henry route. At the top it was really windy and cold today but down not so much.
And so I also found Peter Carroll Field and converted into a smiley.
archer101au Thanks for the cache. Greetings from the Netherlands

I’m back working in Katoomba and thought I’d grab a few caches while I’m in the area.
I’m working not far away and was on my way to Bunnings and saw this cache on the way.
I want to earn the Wheel of Challenges souvenirs, having earned the 2day streak, I’m now aiming to earn the 7 day streak.
I spotted this one quickly thanks to the hint. So I quickly grabbed it and moved down the track away from muggle eyes and completed the formalities.

A nice walk here. Had us searching for a bit, but not long till cache in hand. Tftc
The junior cacher with us wanted to take something, but resolved to come back with something to swap.
Having done some good hikes in the morning and with a big day planned tomorrow the afternoon was spent on some easy local caching. Most found easily.
Found with eemiaj while caching around the Katoomba area, the 2nd day of our visit.
A relatively easy find. TFTC

Fortunately someone has just mowed the long grass so it was easy to access the cache. TFTC
Found while birdwatching nearby. Had a spare container in the car so have placed the old log and a new log inside to keep them dry.

Ok find but we only found a tiny piece of paper but put it in a ziplock baggie. Enjoy caching!
Samen met Catqueen3 gezocht en gevonden. Helaas alleen een papiertje onder de stenen. In plastic zakje gedaan.

As per last owner, the log won't last long out in the elements under the SPOR. TFTC
Found cache log easily enough but not cache container. The log was on the ground. I will have to explore some of these tracks more. Thanks for bringing me here.
There is no cache container. The log was on the ground. I covered the log with some rocks so it doesn't blow away but this cache needs urgent maintenance please.
Found It!
A quick find here in the rain. Just one lone man and his dog on the field today.

After carer's responsibilities reduced my finds in 2021 to a single cache and only one other in 2032 I am now back in the saddle. Fifth of eleven finds this afternoon.

We found this cache, but the log sheet was completely soaked. We replaced it with a new strip of paper, which should hopefully last for a while.

I am terribly behind in my logging. It's getting close to five months since I regularly reported on the caches I've found. YIKES! Well, at least I'm currently only 3 months behind.
To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...
In this time only the Adventure Labs found and my First2Finds have been written up - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
But I've been busy finally getting ready to move into our new house - now in and I'm still coming to terms with the extra room/rooms!
But I did still try to find time to cache on the days that my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day demanded I find something. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.
Anyway. thanks to all the CO's who are getting short shrift from my generic logs. I hope to eventually get back to them and flesh them out, but no promises.
I've found some fun Traditionals and solved some interesting, but not impossible puzzles. And Multis and other cache types have been grabbed where possible.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Headed up to Leura with the Geowife for a day out. Pity the weather kept threatening rain - which it did while we were having lunch at our favourite Leura cafe. Is it just me or is the lolly shop a shadow of its former self?
Went for five and found them all.

Any cache specific comments will be added here. Don't hold your breath, though.
