Another one we had been to several times. Thanks for the spoiler we found it this time. TFTC
It was nearly dark when I got here and my torch was buried somewhere in the car so I only had the light from my gps to find it luckily it was an easy find. Thanks gracie7 + Mum#17007
Couldnt find on the way in but thankfully had success after doing the walk. Such a cool area!
While Im in the tunnel shing my phone torch into every nook & cranny Mr Curzzz has already found the cache & is sniggering at my efforts! Great fun place, thanks for bringing us here.
This is such an amazing walk and its so unknown as well! Found at 15:47 Sunday 7th January, find number 283 , TFTC!
Out and about on a bike ride while staying at friends nearby. Rode a few kms past Goldsborough to locate a few caches. Mostly QEFs with almost no traffic. Only found 1 of the tunnel caches today but will be back with better footwear to walk the small trail here - TFTC
TFTC! Bit of a blind find as we didnt load the spoiler pic before going nevertheless, a great find! Lovely day to be out these ways, did some of the Goldsborough track and stopped on the way out for a couple of quick caches
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are currently parked up at the NZMCA ‘Southshore’ Campsite at Hokitika … we decided to go for a bit of a drive to Kumara to check out the areas Gold Mining History … Mrs McMike2012 had seen this Tunnel Walk on the ‘Interweb’ & so away we went … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #3,965 for us.
GPS took me rioght to GZ and locked in solid. Quick find.
Don't look up when coming through. That way you don't see the vampire lurking above.

A nice quick find. The track is closed at the car park end, but the exit is fine to enter. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I went for a wee drive over to the Coast for a long not weekend, Sunday to Wednesday, unless the threatened snow happens on Wed, so might cut it short. We had another great day with loads of fine weather, and a handful of FTF thanks to Gracie7+mum..Yipee.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Helpful foto so a quick find. When we got back onto the main road we saw a big white bird. It was surely too big to be a cattle egret and certainly had the hunched retracted neck of a kōtuku as it flew. Maybe it was. Thanks gracie7 + Mum.
Spending the winter woofing, tramping and exploring the west coast caching along the way ..of course..
After a week in hari hari it's time to move on.
Spending a couple of days in hoki so on a mission to tidy up all the unfound caches
No drama with this one..drained water from container, cache all good..tftc

I live on this road and this is one of my favourite places to walk ! Was greatful for the spoiler as my gps was playing games in me ! Thanks for the great caches down my road !
The weather was far more settled than it has been so a trip to Hokitika was on the cards. Of course we had to make the detour to find this cache on the way.
The last one we found here and which we replaced for the Seagnoid after it had gone missing was several metres away from here and on a different level, I don't recall finding one at this exact spot but any find is a good one as far as I'm concerned.
Noah was a little disappointed we couldn't walk the loop this time with the other tunnel closed and blocked off for maintenance so he compensated by taking some photos instead.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum for bringing us back to this spot.

Due to the weather we spent more time than desirable inside the last few days. With the sky showing promise today with lots of blue it was decided to make a trip to Hoki in pursuit of two new caches. With some disappointment of not being able to walk the loop we walked the short distance along the road to the tunnel and GZ. A familiar spot and always worthy of a visit. A quick find before we took off again for cache #2 which sadly resulted in a DNF. Thank you gracie7 + Mum
Found with StreetWalkerNZ while en route from Christchurch to Hokitika.
We had found a cache here a few years ago (I think it took a couple of goes as GPSr reception is abysmal), so knew what we were in for. SW noted that there was a spoiler photo, but there was no cell phone coverage so we hoped we'd be able to track down the cache with just the hint.
Donned rain jackets, as it was a bit drippy in the tunnel and we wondered if we should have brought a torch with us, but there was just enough light to make it through without a stumble. I am pleased to report that the cache was in the first place I looked! Good to return to this interesting spot. TFTC.

#20823 (FTF #243). Good to see a new cache in this great location (we had found its predecessor). By the time I realised there was a spoiler photo I had lost cell phone reception. Luckily Troodles made short work of the find. She thought she had look at the spoiler photo back in CHC, but couldn't remember anything about it (or so she said!). TFTC.
