We were in Darwin Australia for the day on our ship - Holland America's Volendam. We had a route of caches and Adventure Lab Stops planned. We walked about 8 miles around the city, finding 6 caches and completing 15 Lab Stops. We went back to the ship to cool off and end our walk for the day; however, checking Messages there, we saw that a CO had answered our Message about a problem with one of their caches. With that resolved, Marbles went out, met GrtDane along the way, and the two of us walked in the sun and the heat of the day another mile round trip and found that cache - Phew!#####################This Cache: Quick Find by Salts

Adelaide and train trip Day 6. Explore Darwin Day. Today was my day in and around Darwin to wander around and visit interesting places marked by caches and LAB caches. I found it hot and sweaty, but I enjoyed my walking. My favorite spot was down by the beach at one of the LAB points. There is so much interesting stuff here to see and if I had more time I would have expanded my travels. In the evening I headed down to the wharf for dinner and a final virtual cache for the day. Off on the train south tomorrow, it will be an fun trip.I was well into my walk by the time I made it down to the water front. This part of town is much breezier than up in town. I had no problems finding this cache. Thanks for the cache Doodle Bug Oz44697.1 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2009 5th Ann Compass Rose Gold A#138**Albida**

26-days-holiday to Singapore, New Zealand & AustraliaDay 21: Katherine DarwinOn this day, the bus took us from Katherine back to Darwin. On the way north, we took a detour in the direction of Litchfield Park to see the nearby termite mounds. In the afternoon, we arrived at Darwin which left the evening for some geocaching. After an evening stroll around town and a quick stop at the harbour, I passed by this cache on my way back to the hotel. At dusk, there were not many people around allowing a quick find. After having signed the logbook, I headed on to Bicentennial Park.TFTC

Well my whirl wind tour of 5 states in 3 weeks has started and after reaching the SA border and now the NT border it was time to locate a few caches here or there as I won’t be doing that much caching on this trip as I’m with muggle friends.
So after a great few days in Litchfield NP I decided to ditch the other couple but that is for another story.
So a drive up to Darwin and back for the day was called for so 1 I had to pick something up for someone in Melbourne.
And 2 I had a couple of caches earmarked to find.
A nice stroll around the wharf / harbour area and I’m loving the warm weather up here.
Of course I picked up some fresh prawns and oysters for tea.

Thanks Doodle Bug Oz TFTC.
