It was Mums (SethRaven) birthday on Friday and today she wanted to spend the morning caching & suggested Huntly . . . . . . . . very creative, loved this one too TFTC, gets a fav point from me
A little caching adventure around Huntly was long overdue, so I was pleased to have the opportunity to do so! Great fun on all counts, TFTC!!
Out for a day of semi local geocaching. Naturally because im difficult i approached this from the wrong side and made it harder to get to than it needed to be. Cute wee cache. Thankyou. Team Datt, going geocaching 2017 and voodoo tramp visited this cache.
It's a long weekend so I came down to Auckland from the Far North for a few days geocaching. Today my plan was to head down to Huntly collecting mostly AdLabs. Living where I do getting some higher numbers is a bit tricky so that was todays goal. I had lots of Adlabs that I was focussing on today so it was a bit tricky making sure I got all of them. I kept forgetting to check for other caches in the vicinity of the Adlabs too. I hadn't even planned for the bonuses. It was mid afternoon and with all my stopping along the way I still hadn't even reached Huntly. Nice to pick up this cache with its higher favourite points. Thanks for hiding this neat looking cache
Fivegk enjoyed finding your caches today, en route from Auckland to Rotorua. TFTC
On a whirlwind visit with karen rinora to this beautiful country. Of course we had to collect some smilies along the way! Last one in this cute series. Thanks for the fun!
Out of town on a caching mission with Kiwi Does Stuff, made a plan for the few days up in Auckland and hit the road. Making our way back to Rotorua through Huntly and grabbing some quick park and grabs along the way. A quick find at GZ, have enjoyed these well crafted caches. TFTC!
Day 2 of our out of town mission with Reschedule. Decided we would head into Huntly on our way home to bulk up numbers. A nice selection a caches, thank you Eyespyben
Were from Australia with Wilbert67 for a short holiday, grabbing cache of mixed types. Enjoying the weather and the variety of caches. Thanks KUTGW
Slowly making our way from Auckland to Hamilton. Lots of caches along the way and lots of adventure labs as well. Really fun day.TFTC Wilbert67
Stopped by for a easy find on my way to Auckland for a ten pin bowling tournament. Thanks eyespyben for the cache.
I parked up at the near by rest area and headed off for a walk, keeping my fingers crossed the rain would hold off (which it did)
This was nicely tucked out of sight (mostly), so I could sign the log without being too obvious.
Thanks for setting this up

Based ourselves nearby to complete some of the local caches.
Shame about the rain but at least its not cold. No problem with the find TFTC.

The great thing about moving to a new town is the fresh set of geocaching opportunities that present themselves.
So today I set out to go one better than my previous eight-types-in-a-day record from November 2021.
Doing this series in reverse, so starting here. A quick find of a cute cache.
Thanks eyespyben

Loved this cache! Thanks for our second cache of the day on this cruise road trip to Taupo .
In the absence of a MEGA event this Labour Weekend, Keylev had spent some time planning a Mega Mysterious Weekend for members of Team SEAC (a group of cachers from south and east Auckland who often cache together). Today's plan was to head south and find as many caches as we could around the Huntly area. In the group today is HeMaLuDy, Stik-a-Crane, NurseDr, Keylev, UncleSamNZ, Liverkiwi. It ended up being a long day and a bit - leaving the start point at 9 am and returning home after 1:30 am the following day.
Cute wee cache containers along this series. Thanks for the effort taken.

Labour Weekend has historically been a minimum 3 day Team SEAC all out adventure so a little while ago I started planning some fun for us. After a walking day yesterday, today was a driving one and more about the numbers and clearing out an area we have had our eyes on for a while. Ended up being a massive day (left home around 8.30am and got home at 1:40am!)....it wasn't called a Mega Mysterious Weekend for nothing. Enjoyed the fun with friends...just like the 'old' times.
Was spied quickly upon approach but had to be reached from the other side....soon the BBS made sense.
Thanks for the cache.

Last year, Team SEAC members went on a road trip down to Cambridge to clear out as many of the caches in that town and its surrounding areas. On the way home from that trip, we stopped off in Huntly to do the night cache. After completing the night cache, we vowed to come back to Huntly and grab as many of the caches in that area as we could. Today was that day.
As we had approached this little series from the south, this was the first one in the series that we had come across. As such, we all like the cache container. It took a little while for us to find it as we were expecting a different cache container, but as soon as we spied it, we knew that this was the cache container.

Day 2 of our Labour weekend caching mission, and also happens to be a significant day for me yearly...... Our group decided to head down Huntly way for a good variety of cache types and then head inland and back up to Auckland.....some of use a little jaded from the impromptu high elevation gain hike yesterday, we eased ourselves into search mode.....
Signed is as SEAC to save logbook space and allowing us more time to enjoy the area which surprised us as to how many scenic places are hiding in Huntly....
Thanks to all the CO's for hiding and maintaining caches here.....and to mother nature for the awesome weather we had......
Someone has been busy making these caches.....

Out with Team Seac for another day of adventures. We did a full day of caching on the Saturday with a long hike! And decided to head down to Huntly for the day. I really enjoyed my time around here, and would like to come back again. Some us finished at 10pm, some finished at 1amish!
Sorry for the generic logs. Thank you for taking the time to place this cache.
Out with KeyLev, HeMaLuDy, Stik-a-crane, NZTravellers, LiverKiwi, NurseDr. All logs signed “Team Seac” or similar to save log paper.

Nice work on the container.

We are caching around the Huntly area today mostly trying for easy side of the road caches in case the threatening rain comes back. Another one where we could reach GZ and make the find without needing waders. TFTC
Found while out with Fencarrows today, I have seen a few of this cache container around now, cute
I had arranged to meet Mr and Mrs KC to do some LAB caches before going to Hamilton for the long weekend and used the time before we met to do some caches. This little series did the trick, great cache containers along here and the coords for this one was good. TFTC
I had to have a quick trip to Hamilton to check on my caravan which is undergoing some repairs.
Cheers for the cache.

Came up to Huntly today to do some adventure Labs, so thought we would get a few others along the way too. Loved this series, so much effort has gone into them. This was the first of the series we got. Worth a favourite. TFTC
Out in Huntly doing Ad labs but there were some new caches since I was last here. What a cute cache. So much work has gone into this. Tftc
Out with Corunna Road and a very interested passenger (92 years old). Road quite busy, managed a quick find and we all loved the cache, especially our guest who is new to this. Tftc
In Huntly for Celebration Event!
First find of the day. Arrived here on my bike from a campsite.
Quite busy road at present.
All good here.

Stayed the night in Huntly at the campground on Lake Hakanoa. A delightful place with lots of caches around for us to look for. Got up early and headed out on my bike before it gets too hot. Meant to be 29 degrees later. Nobody about this early and no trouble finding the cute little cache. Thanks eyespyben for the smiley.
Had been to Te Awamutu for work. The job had gone particular well and I left site early. Cached all the way home and took the "scenic route" to maximise the cache count.
This series was one of the last few for the day. This was a cool cache container which had obviously had lots of work.

Out for a ladies day caching with Merlot58, Supernannny and Nette1234 this series of caches was on our list for the day. Didn't take long to spot the cute container, but not sure what sort of birds would be able to make it their home. TFTC
We were headed to do the nearby Ad Lab so picked up this wee series on our way. The cute cache was quickly located
a quick trip to this one today, i like what i found, something just a bit different is always good, tftc
Find number 7718. Out for a late night grab of this cache. All quiet here at midnight so no problems signing the cache. Thank you for the placement.
Very cute indeed!
Definitely worth the drive down from Auckland...
First find of the day .

I'm heading through here this afternoon on the way to the train club, and don't remember this little series being here last time, so a short diversion to come and have a look. Very cool cache, enjoyed the mini trail that followed, so have a FP for your efforts along here, cheers
Heading to the 18@18 Event in Huntly…
Successfully made it to said event, then thoughts turned to the after party. What can we do next? I fluttered my eyelids and cajoled the CO into coming with me to do this trail. It was actually a good idea to test out gps reliability and cache coordinates… Number 5 - Here we are at the last of the mini trail. This one is sighted and requires a chosen approach. Thanks eyespyben and TFTC.
