It's the time for Mr Hunters' to take his big annual leave chunk for the year, 1.5 years into his first full time social work role in his home city of Canberra. This year, I decided to jump on my parents' holiday to Perth (next week) but beforehand, I wanted a solo geocaching splurge. I spotted the LGA series not too far from Perth, so I soon booked accommodation for 5 nights in Boddington with the intention to finish the entire series within that time. I was really looking forward to some quiet time for solo geocaching and to have simple pub meals in a quiet country town, I've been extremely busy over the past few months and given my job involves a lot of emotional energy, I wanted to visit a secluded location as far away from home as you can get, absolutely brilliant.I leave Boddington tomorrow so today, I took a lovely country drive to the mines, Quindanning, Williams and Wandering to collect some of the caches near the LGA series that I skipped during my big run on the series, plus some extra ones that I wanted (i.e. virtual and AL). Quick find at GZ, I could smell a dead animal nearby unfortunately, but I was soon back in the car with the A/C smell. TNLNSL (however, someone else has left a cool Hot Wheels car for a future finder). TFTC!
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 34 - Kojonup to William via Arthur River and Darken. After a long wet and cold night it was time to get going again. I relented and had a hot breakfast at the Kojonup bakery before starting. From there it was a bit of local caching and then the days drive. There was a fun detour to Boscabel where there was a nice hall and nothing else. Arthur River was another spot, this time on the highway where there is a lot of historical remains, but not much going on other than a road house. A bit of a surprise really. Darken was next to take in the County, but it was another very small council town. I finished the day in William but still needing several more caches, I spent the afternoon caching as well, the highlight was a nature walk just to the north. I ended the day with another great pub meal with a bit of a surprise. Tomorrow is another day near William doing trail caching for tomorrows target. After setting up at the Williams caravan park and a bit of lunch, I went out for an afternoon caching around town and to the north. As I worked my way along the highway, I stopped for a few roadside caches. Thanks for the cache Barnzy1247211.20 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2017 WA Goes Big A#466**Albida**

Today the geocaching mission for TaurusSix and I is to head back to the LGA series and collect another string of geocaches . We have really enjoyed doing stretches of this trail over several months and visits now. It is always a nice drive, we love getting out into the country, for the most part it is quite deserted and muggle free. And of course we like to collect lots of caches. Today the weather is particularly pleasant, a lovely spring day with the sun shining and a light breeze. The canola in the nearby fields is looking particularly spectacular at the moment with lots of rolling yellow paddocks as far as the eye can see. All in all a perfect day for geocaching.
This is our forty first cache of the day as we head back through Williams on the way back to Bunbury. Road is surprisingly busy for a Saturday afternoon. Cache easily located, a little more more effort required to retrieve it though. Happy to log and replace. TFTC Barnzy12

Out in Quindanning for my first ever rogainning event. The event was 12 hours long starting at 10am and finishing 10pm on the Saturday. In total we walked 30km with around 47,000 steps over 11hrs and 22mins! Phew! On the Sunday, I decided to nab a bunch of caches on the way back to Perth, along the Albany Highway.
After stopping in at the Woolshed for a a coffee and a bloody good lamb, mint and rosemary pie - the sole reason for my detour to Williams - I ducked over here, coffee in hand to find the cache. All was well and good. Cheers Barnzy12!

Hi there Barnzy12. While on a flash trip to Narrogin, we found this cache at 11:13AM after a short search - and the container and log are in good condition. The cache was awkward to recover but at least there were no spiders to be seen TN, LN, SL. and returned the cache as found. Thanks to Barnzy12 for this cache - our find 9420 and the 1st of 1 finds for the day.
