Found on 29/3/2024; find number 1652.A lovely warm Good Friday to do some exploring. We stopped at the Hub for some lunch and since the cafe was closed, we were able to enjoy our BYO picnic in the shade and on the tables.A short walk to GZ and the cache was easily spotted. Then something else was spotted giving a minor brown trouser moment. Nicely done Thanks for the hunt and the cache Team BGF.
After driving from Albury to Wangaratta this morning, we left the camper trailer in the campground and decided to head to the Winton wetlands. We spent the day walking, and taking our time, as it was a great opportunity to explore an area we have not visited before. Such beautiful location, glorious weather, and plenty of birdlife around here. The serpent near GZ is very beautiful Log signed. Thanks Team BGFDomsky
Another weekend away at Bonnie Doon meant I could head over and do a few caches, I had unfinished business at Winton wetlands so that was the chosen destination for the days caching adventure, met up with Tiz13 who was in the area, the plan was to tackle some T5 caches but sadly we had no luck with them after three DNF's in a row we pulled the pin and stuck to caches on land. This is one of the caches found today. Thanks Team BGF for the cache.
Camped at Broken Creek with some chums, we decided to lunch at the Winton Wetlands Hub. This cache was close by, so after lunch we headed for GZ where the cache was found after a short search. Great lunch and great cache.
Lol ... found the cache as I was signing I saw what was holding it ...did I jump a mile ? Yep lol well played lol .. thankfully it's a friendly cache gaurdian.
I was heading up to Bright from Melbourne today to join friends for a week touring the high country... taking my time so I could find caches in the Benalla and Wangaratta LGAs... the things you do when you get bitten by the "challenges bug". It was now early afternoon and I still had many caches to find... so it was on to the Winton Wetlands... and some mixed success in hunting caches. Thanks **Team BGF** for this cache... a straight forward find.
Quick find after our lovely afternoon here. The log was completely soggy and bag ripped so we have replaced both. Tftc.
With the family away I decided to head down to Wang and Winton to collect a few caches (and to go a bit of birdwatching). Was a bit of a mixed day but got some good caches and enjoyed the beautiful spring weather (and only saw two brown snakes today). Plus got a few to keep my streak going (and hopefully earn another souvenir soon).A nice quick find here and gif once I found a friendly cache guardian nearby (after the snake at the previous one). As previous loggers have noted log is soaked and unsignable.TFTC Team BGF

After a wonderful week in Rutherglen, today was the day we were checking out and it looked like Rutherglen was sad we were leaving as it started crying from about 5am onwards! (Raining) Packing the car was fun!! We headed off to get the last point of an adlab we had done the nght before and the rain started easing a bit so we decided to do the other art adlab and collect a couple more caches on the way. After a lovely morning tea in Rutherglen we set off for Chiltern to find a cache or 2 on the way home. After Chiltern we headed here, thankful the rain was clearing the closer we got. After finding Boggy bridge cache and heading to the water tank, and wishing we had longer to explore more, we headed to the cafe for lunch as time was marching on! We had a lovely gnocchi lunch then set off to find this cache and the multi before heading home. Love the bright colours on the serpent!

Rutherglen MEGA Long Easter weekend trip. Day 7 Home time.
This year with new tools and transport on board. Bike, ladder, poles and a variety of other items to help with the cache grabs.
Puzzles were all sorted before the weekend. Making way for the finds to come.
Plans sorted for cache attack days, between ladder climbing, power trail grabs and the large amount of ad labs in the area. Not to mention the MEGA site visits and numerous other events to attend.
My stat's of finds started at 11,886 before leaving home. Let's see what the final numbers are at trips end for the MEGA.
After a full on weekend it's time to head home from the Rutherglen MEGA... there was lots done, lots seen. Thanks to all.

I headed out on a road trip to concentrate on 3 particular LGA’s finding enough caches in each so that I will finally qualify for a particular challenge cache.
I was passing by this one so I stopped, it was long before the cache was found and the log was stamped.

Mr Tardis was out for a caching run today around Benalla and Lake Mokoan.Mr Tardis found the cache in the first place he looked - don't you just love it when that happens? A well themed cache.I eventually found the nicely themed container after checking the same place three times!Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Team BGF.PS: Sorry for the late log - I'm back in the area for our annual pilgrimage, and I'm slowly working through the backlog of finds - I'd be lost without the wonderful GSAK.

TFTC!! Cool hiding spot, although I think that the name was slightly misleading and the cache itself was full of ants! But overall a fun find!
Spending a few days on the road with Wilbert as we travel to and from the Whittlesea Mega event.
Having a great time finding an array of different types and D/T rated caches.
Thanks to all the CO’s for hiding your particular cache.
Day 4 and it’s home time, but not before we make a few stops along the highway.
My apologies for the boiler style log.

TFTC. Heading to Violet Town to stay at the daughter’s farm for the weekend. The weather had improved a little and we stopped here to collect the AL Bonus and this one. We had left these on our last visit as we ran out of time. Good to get these off our list.
Mmmmm, a slithery little sucker in a great little hiding spot. Very creative cache, love it. TFTC.
What a wonderful place to bring us to..without caching, we would not have driven this way...Mr KC thoroughly enjoyed the way in which cache was hidden
Thanks to Team BGF for this hide, We stopped off here today to break the drive and find an Ad Lab.

A great spot to visit and complete the sculpture walk and do some bird watching. Thanks!
Nice to see the sun out again today. We can’t believe we overlooked this traditional cache when we were here in May to complete the A/L. As we plan to camp at Nesting Ground tonight we thought we’d call past and sign the log. The serpent sculpture is stunning. We visited the wetlands a while back and watched the artist cleverly carving with his chainsaw.
This return trip is the first time we’ve seen water in the wetlands.
Thanks, we enjoyed finding your cache at this great location.

Found and signed log at 11:15am before beginning Adventure Lab. Were really impressed with this colourful serpent and friend cleverly revealed in this tree! Thankyou for bringing us here.
First stop today. Getting the kids out of the house this morning and into some fresh air.
What a great artwork near GZ!
We spotted the logbook on the ground at GZ and it was soaked. The cache was all sealed up so I’m not sure how the two were separated. We made our mark and put it back inside the container but it’ll need some attention.

We spent part of today in the Winton Wetlands - a fascinating area for its natural beauty and its rich indigenous cultural history. The Mokoan Serpent was a very creative piece of work. Accurate coordinates and an obvious hiding spot led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Team_BGF for the cache and for brining us to this wonderful area.

#18764. Well here we are almost home again after a week away. We decided to detour via the Wetlands and the Hub for a well-earned lunch as we neared home. I knew there was a cache about this fellow but completely forgot about it in the hurry to be FTF when the AdLab was published. Made amends this afternoon and added our names to the well hidden cache.
Thanks Team BGF.

The last day on the way home from Mildura with BettyBoo3747.
Stopped off at Lake Boga last night, and made our way home today only picking up a few caches.
Arrived at Lake Mokoan Hub for a late lunch.
I can't believe we had not noticed this cache before.
We had a good look at the Rainbow Serpent the last time we were here.
Collected the cache today.
Thanks, Robmc.

Last night, 2 new caches were published however I was too [|)]tired[|)] to go for a late night caching run[xx(]
Decided I'd sleep and then head out in the morning[^] I had visions of Team BGF beating me to Winton Wetlands though so I knew I'd have to be up earlier than normal for me![^] As a result, I had just over 2 hours sleep all night![:(!][xx(][:(!] Excitement and anticipation equals a body and brain that won't shut down!
Rex and I arrived at Mokoan about 8.30am[^] and eventually arrived home again about 11.30pm, tired[|)][|)] but happy too!
We found 9 caches today which was fantastic[^][:X][^] as I finally completed the old Gourmet Run series by finding #12 and #18 the final[:X]
We completed 2 adv labs, the new one at Mokoan (LOTJPATJ NATJAN DANAK - SCULPTURE WALK) and the new adv lab at Benalla (It's on the Wall)[^]
There was a 6WP multi at Milawa cemetery, where we had a chat to the neighbour next door[^][^] and then a lovely Lamb and Rosemary pie[:X][:X][^] from Milawa Bakery for lunch[^]
We also found 2 FTFs, had a chat with kmace on the phone and just generally relaxed for the day[^] while enjoying glorious blue skies and warm sunshine[:X][:X]

Out on a caching adventure of 4 days with bushfire, Brisal 5 and Blackadder. We stayed nearby at Goorambat and travelled around from there. This had to be postponed a few times due to Covid.
Tag along and I have been to Benalla many times as we lived nearby when we were married. Now I have been back to this are quite a few times too. I have only seen it dry.
Stopped here admired the serpent. The Rainbow Serpent is a favourite legend of mine.
Signed in as 3Bs while the sun shone us.

In the Wangaratta area for a few days caching with my very good caching mate from Bacchus Marsh 6Hinemoa2 and great caching friend from Adelaide and his mate the Blackadders.
Due to COVID lockdowns and other problems this trip has been postponed a number of times but we are finally going. Once in the area we put 3B6 or Bushfire in our logs to save space.
With so many caches found I have to use the cut and paste method as we found so many great caches from so many different cachers, so a big thank you to all those folk.

DAY 3: Some Winton Wetlands and back to Benalla:
The Fab Four of Bushfire, Blackadders, brisal5 and 6himemoa2 set off for a days of Geocaching adventures. Although we had a plan A, we progressed through Plan A, Plan B and ended up doing Plan -wing it. [^] So to save space in logs we signed BBB6 or 3B6 or similar. Sometimes I stamped logs, but that ended very suddenly. Here is what we found during plan - wing it.
What a great carving. Oh yeah found the cache too.

Day 3 of a trip to Victoria targeting around the Benalla area with Brisal5, Bushfire and 6hinemoa2. The forecast for the day was for showers however it ended up as a perfect day for caching.
As always the planned targeted hides were not visited due to time constraints but many more varied and fun caches were found. A number of disabled caches were also looked for and found to be there but in need of attention by the owners.
All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.
Thank you for the cache Team BGF, found 5/05/2022, 1:34:06 PM
