My daughter Pinkypie05 and myself needed a cache in order to get the Leap Year souvenir. This one is close to home and I had been saving it for a souvenir day. I found the correct coordinates on someone elses log which made it a quick and easy find after that. TFTC!
My mum Mnance101 and I needed a cache in order to get the Leap Year souvenir. This one is close to home and I had been saving it for a souvenir day. TFTC!
After watching the Lions train, headed to this cache which I found easily. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks FINjMT20. All good with this cache.
A nice view at this location. I did have to search both sides of the road before discovering the cache in a logical spot, with the coordinates about 10 m out from the posted coordinates (as others have mentioned too). My GPSr was indicating the cache at S 27° 40.054' E 152° 54.121'. Otherwise, the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks FINjMT20 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Today with an early morning start, I commenced with a hike in the southern area of Flinders-Goolman Conservation Park. Three targeted summits from Mt Elliott Road were ascended, and it was a mixture of steep terrain, lantana and other spiky vegetation, and a few rock scrambles; a tough walk, but also enjoyable under perfect hiking weather that wasn't too hot.
Following the walk, I started to make my way towards home, stopping in Redbank Plains, and a few areas in Springfield and Brookwater. In addition, I walked around the new Brisbane Lions' new training ground at Springfield Central Stadium / Brighton Homes Arena, and finally stopped and made a circuit of Spring Lake in Springfield Lakes.
I was able to participate in / complete three Adventure Labs during my outing today:
• [Brisbane Lions in Springfield](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/52ec5b27-1076-4417-a161-3e53fd947ca4);

I needed a quick cache to fill up my calendar of finds and this was an easy target while over this way for an appt. 10m from gz but I knew where to look. I could appreciate the view while walking the 100m back to the car.
I headed out to grab some bush caches in Springfield today but as I drove along here, I could hear a big storm approaching. Changed my plan and decided to stay close to the car so I pulled over here and began searching as the rain began. I thought I would find it quickly but I looked and looked and couldn’t find it. The rain was starting to get quite heavy now so I sheltered in the car and read some logs for a while. When the rain had eased I went to look on the other side of the road and found it straight away. GPS was about 20m out which might have been because of the storm clouds. Even in the rain, it’s a great view. TFTC!
The views were impressive up here. It might even be better with the stadium lights on and the noise of the crowd. Thanks for placing this cache FINjMT20
An early morning drive out to Springfield; saw Peppa and myself in the area looking for a FTF. We acquired the find there and then sat for a chat. It was then I saw a few other caches in the area that I could spend some time grabbing before it got to hot again. Peppa had cleaned out this area already so it was just me.
I parked up and walked over to an easy find here, although the hint did give a direction to look in, the hide had walked some 10 metres, so i returned it closer to the coordinates. A nice hide, I signed the log and then replaced all as found. Thanks for the hide here, all good with this one.

Its is indeed a nice view from here. So many changes, and still more to cone in this area. Walked straight up to this one. Tftc
Now that the road is open, we drove up and parked nearby. Took longer than it should have but got it in the end. TFTC
Found. A few ants in the cache but not many. Passerby warned that fire ants being treated in the area.
A quick find on my way home from work. Also parked at the lights on footpath and wandered up the hill as the sun set over Springfield. Tftc
It's been a while since I've been out for a day of caching in the suburbs of Brisbane. After a quick trawl through my GSAK database, I had my eye on a number of unloved caches in the area and managed to rope in Crookedpete to team up with me today.
With the road heading to this cache fenced off back near the traffic lights we parked up Victor Del Prado on the footpath nearby and walked the remaining distance up to GZ (a good way to start working off some of the excess baggage we are currently carrying ). There was some disagreement between where our respective phones were pointing to GZ. After searching a few likely spots we both returned to one particular location where the cache was found after a short search. TFTC

With a Sunday free of domestic duties and finally some wonderful Queensland winter weather, Seffnjarah and I headed out to Brisbane's west today, exclusively targeting unloved caches. There was certainly no shortage of targets!
The road to this one was closed to stop traffic accessing the construction site beyond the cache. However, there was nothing stopping us from parking at the road closure sign and walking cross country up the hill to enjoy this nice view. Seff's phone initially led us to the other side of the road, but the error was soon corrected and our name was signed in the logbook.
Many thanks, FINjMT20

A cache convenient to home that I could grab and avail myself of the 2022 New Year Souvenir. I like to leave caches close to home for exactly this reason... [^]
No trouble parking and only a short walk to GZ, where the cache was quickly spotted. The ants are still making a comfortable home on the inside, so mugh like the last finder, I cleared them out before etching my name in the log.
With the cache now bug free and business taken care of, I reassembled everything and replaced the cache as found.
Cheers FINjMT20.

Cache was full of ants with eggs but we cleaned it out as best we could! Found with my geokids Tobias and Madison. A quick cache nearby home to finish of 2021!
Good view of the large construction site for the Brisbane Lions. You can get a sense of the layout from up here you don't get just driving past. Cache was quickly found and all is in good condition. TFTC.
The view is not too shabby and having a cache to look for while checking it out was the cream on the milk.

Found after a little visit to the Springfield Anglican College this morning.
The cache was exactly where I wanted it to be, and I enjoyed the view so TFTC. All good here.

A caching day with RoddyC, Hatsoff, Snickersallan, GrannySmith1947 and Echocage1. This was an easy one to find, log signed and cache replaced as found. Nice to cache in a different area to the usual, hardly ever manage to get to Springfield and surrounding areas. TFTC
A change of scenery today around the Camira-Springfield area, hoping the rains stay away.
Beautifully sunny while still a bit muggy, this was a nice find with its view.
Log signed and cache replaced as found at 12:20 PM on October 23, 2021. TFTC, FINjMT20

Out enjoying an afternoon of caching with Blkthunder… we missed this cache on the first approach as there was a muggle workman close by… so managed to collect it on the way back from Brookwater…
A nice quick find if you don’t know that I walked straight past it on my first scan… tftc…

GPS was sending us to one side of the road and then the other. Nice little hide. TFTC.
After a hiatus from caching, I decided to see if anything new was in the area, so this was a nice surprise. Great view - TFTC!
With the threat of rain I stayed close to the cat today, targeting some Ipswich caches.

I can't believe this cache has been in place for a month and only attracted two finds so far. Whatever happened to the Maniac Wombat who lives around here somewhere? Had a brief look last week but I was running out of time and the Garmin put me in the middle of the bitumen road. Back today with Mrs George after a quick visit to the local shopping centre, and soon had the cheeky little thing in hand. This time a different Garmin GPS had me much closer to the cache. Added to the log - that's now THREE visits. One wonders where building development is going to stop, and when will it stop. Judging by the new multi-level car park near the railway station it won't stop real soon. TFTC, FINjMT20, and yes, it IS a nice view from up here.
It is a great view from here. Quick and easy find. Thanks for the new cache in the local area
Saw this not long after it was published and as it's just a few Ks from home set off. Sadly it was school pickup time and the traffic was incredible. After sitting without moving for some time I about turned and headed home as I was due elsewhere. So surprised to see it still unfounded this morning so still in pjs (tracksuit) I once more headed out. All good this morning and soon at GZ. A quick find and a surprising FTF at 6.15am. Enjoying the view which is great when several 'shots' rang out. Heck, I'm out of here. Thanks for an early morning adventure. (Edit, police now in area so perhaps it was shots?) A favourite point for the heart started this morning in more ways than one.
