After over seven weeks on the road, I'm back home and finally catching up on all my logging.Caching in South Australia was fantastic, so many good hides to find, and we found ourselves zigzagging all over the place doing lots of geoart but of course ran out of time to get everything done on our to-do list. The majority of caches we found were in great condition and well maintained, which is a credit to all the CO's who placed them, so thank you.Our logs were mostly signed as 5 for QLD to save room on the log sheets, and no doubt, we'll be back again in the future
After attending the Great Leap Forward in Adelaide it was time for us to find more geocaches. Early start today as we are going to do some Forest caches.I'm travelling and caching with RoddyC, hatzofff, Snickersallan, grannysmith1974 and signed logs as 5 for QLD.I'm having a great time on my first visit to SA. TFTC
An early start today to go into the Forest for a day of caching before we head across to the east.Caching with and signing as the group '5 for Qld' and having a great day.TFTCache Azzo
In Adelaide for a couple of weeks.Another busy day - here there and everywhere. Again signing as 5 for QLD. This morning we have a really early start (before sunrise) into the Kuitpo Forest and surrounding areas. Nice treefishing cache.Log signed and cache replaced as found on March 10, 2024. TFTC, Azzo
It was just a short forest walk for us to come and find this one. Hanging at a good height. We had brought our TOTT with us, and soon had the container carefully retrieved, the log signed and then returned to its proper place. Thanks Azzo Domsky
Hi azzo7777, We found your 1.0 5.0 Small Traditional Pot 'o' Gold #1 on 29/2/2024.Find 2737 for BFMC. I like fishing. Not just for snapper, but sometimes for caches. And thats exactly what we did here! The G-Crew have descended on Adelaide with some seriously lofty caching goals as our sole objective, to be achieved at the expense of almost everything else (including sleep). With a minivan loaded with Cachers & TOTTs hopefully time is the only thing that stands in our wayWith 2024 presenting us with a leap day, we have decided to target as many of project-gcs Leap Day badge extensions as possible, with the primary objective of completing a fizzy grid in a day. SA became the logical choice due to the Mega event and the fertile, largely uncached grounds it provides for our team. Many months of planning and puzzle solving (from the simple to downright diabolical) have gone into this trip. Our selected matrix has evolved over time to account for other ongoing objectives. Fortunately, I had a reasonable list of solved but unfound puzzles from my last trip to the Tour Down Under a few years ago but the many, many hours, and many more group chat messages since we started planning this in 2023 have brought us to this point. All physical caches were either stamped or signed as G-CREW to save both time and log space. Thanks to all the COs who have placed and maintained these caches!
Veni, Vidi, ViciHaving finally unlocked premium, its time to catch up on logs. Visiting Adelaide with the Gcrew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, Jtreetrack2, Neville_Devil, Quickhealer2 and SimsFamily) for a mega adventure. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for their caches, we had a very busy, but very enjoyable couple of days in Adelaide and surrounds targeting a D/T loop in a day and whatever other caches took our fancy. No rest for the wicked on this trip.
A couple of days off work so we can visit the City of Churches for the Great Leap Forward MEGA. The G-Crew met up at Adelaide Airport and all piled in to the Hyundai Staria Im pretty sure Staria means not that comfortable and be prepared to slide around in your seat. The G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, JTreeTrack2, Neville_devil, Quickhealer2 and Sims-family) have prepared for months and are ready to go. Puzzles have been solved, target caches listed, spare caches ready we are to get a Leap Day fizzy grid in SA. 7 Cachers checkToTTs checkCold drinks checkEnough time hopefully. All logs were signed or stamped with the G-Crew name to save time and space in the logs.Thank you all the CO's for the contributions and ongoing maintenance. We had a very tiring caching party. Sorry for the generic log but with 100+ logs to write I'll never catch up if I don't, my logs have been at 8 months unloved so have had plenty to catch up on.
I took my first ever trip on a plane to Adelaide to cache with G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, Jtreetrack2, Quickhealer2 and SimsFamily) for a mega leap day adventure. After months of planning and puzzle solving we hired a minivan and set off on a mission to find as many caches as we could on our leap day adventure with the main goal of completing a Dt loop in a day. We started off by working our way down to Victor Harbour via the coast, then worked our way back to Adelaide via the inland route chasing different types, sizes, JASMER's, unusal D/T's, earthcaches, virtuals and more. Thanks to all the CO's who have placed and maintained all of the caches we found on this trip, I had a great time.
Well the big day is here, we are finally in Adelaide after weeks of planning . The G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, JTreeTrack2, Neville_devil, Quickhealer2 and Sims-family) has some pretty intense goals that requires a very long day and no sleep to achieve. The last few weeks the message group has been awash with many many messages as we worked though all the puzzles in order to achieve our main goal of a full D/T loop in a day.We loaded the Hyundai Staria (Was meant to be a KIA Carnival, Not an upgrade ) with all the ToTTs we though or hoped we would need in order to achieve our goals. All logs were signed or stamped with the G-Crew name to safe time and space in the logs.Thank you all the CO's for the contributions and ongoing maintenance. We had a blast and sorry for the generic log but with so many logs to write I'll never catch up if I don't.
According to Google I have lived for 21 leap years + but how many more we do not know but the SA Leap Forward Mega has been and gone and what a great event. Our very lofty goal, completing a full D/T Matrix on a leap day. The G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, JTreeTrack2, Neville_Devil, Quickhealer2 and Sims-family) have descended on Adelaide with some seriously caching goals as our sole objective, to be achieved at the expense of almost everything else (including sleep). We have to say a great big thanks to all the cache owners for looking after these caches for us to find. The hire cars had a big work out with all the gear and TOOLS that we thought we may require. We have decided to target as many of Project-GCs Leap Day badge extensions as possible, with the primary objective of completing a fizzy grid in a day.One of my first Megas was in SA in I think 2014 ( Murray Bridge) but as there, just so many caches of most D/T combos it made sense to target this Mega. We had a list of solved caches that gave a great starting point for our assault but distance was also a problem but I think we made our objective irrespective a great time was had even if we do not make our objective. Thanks to all the S.A. cachers for placing these caches and keeping them on the playing field.
What an amazing adventure through Adelaide. This was my first time to Adelaide and we had a very long day driving and grabbing as many caches as possible. Our very lofty goal, completing a full D/t Matrix on a leap day.Apologies for the generic log, but with so many caches we got today, we didnt have much time to log them as we grabbed them.We had no issues with any containers or hides, and all were in good condition, and well maintained.I was part of G-Crew as we tackled our list, we hired a seven seater van and drove all around Adelaide. The members of our hunt were Dromaniax, BFMC, and JTreeTrack2 who did their fair share of driving and route planning, Sims_family who was on recon and puzzle solving, Neville_devil our fearless high altitude cacher, and myself Quickhealer2.We have been planning this adventure for about 10 weeks, puzzle solving, route planning, and it all came down to the big day and we did so much.I was very lucky to be invited into G-Crew, and with all of our skills and strengths we got our task doneEach log was signed or stamped G-Crew, and I thank all the CO's for maintaining their caches through the chaos of this Mega eventthanks again for the adventureQuickhealer2

Muggle65 and l are on our way to the Leap Year Mega in Adelaide. Such a long drive but thankfully we have a few cache stops. Thank you for the break and the fun ??
Heading toward Adelaide for the Leap Year Mega to celebrate my first 4 years caching with commenced on a Leap Day event. So close to the date!!!
We spied this one a while back but didn't have the right TOTT with us at the time. In the area again today so made a quick retrieve and return. All good here ... except for the red cross on this tree and a few others TFTC
As the CO said.....Easy find and sign once you get it down.Very easy to spot. Thanks azzo7777The usual trio of myself, stainless steel rat and Budgietas was joined by Tassie Trekkers for The Great Leap Forward trip. We decided to cache down south around Goolwa, Victor Harbour and extended reaches for a few days, before basing ourselves in Glenelg for the second half of the trip where we cached around the city, the hills and the Barossa Valley with a highlight being a couple of hours on Adventure Island. Many thanks to the Mega Committee, all the helpers and many local COs who kept up busy and entertained. Most logs were stamped with Team Tassie.
Wow , this one made the list today due to it's D/T This was the first trip to the mainland for this group of Tasmanians in a while, we flew over on the 24th and left early on the 3rd. With 4 days in Goolwa followed by 4 in Glenelg we managed to get some caching done in different areas and pull in a select list of caches we all almost all needed, old caches were on the list as normal but also some different D/Ts with some high fav pointed cache making up the remainder. The trip didn't start well with Qantus losing a bag which made us rearrange a couple of days but we got some 4WDing in and a even some driving on the beach to get a couple of different caches, boat trip to Adventure Island was a great start on the day of the Mega too.All caches were stamped "Team Tassie" which consisted of myself, gooseandegg, Budgietas and Tassie TrekkersFound on 24th Feb thanks to the CO for placing this cache for me to find. We found this cache fairly easily, but the tree is marked with red cross so may be cut down some time in the futureToday was a the start of our mega trip to South Australia for leap day 2024. The team Tassie included stainless steel rat, gooseandegg, Tassie trekkers and myself.A leisurely start to the day and direction flight fron Hobart to Adelaide meant we were meant to be in the car at 2pm, but due to an airline muck up the day started closer to 3pm.Our first target was Goolwa and we cached on the drive down to goolwa. We arrived at goolwa at 8.30, just in time to do some shopping and grab some tea before heading to the accommodation.TFTC we found as part of this day
Today, day 1 being a big day I left home at 6:00 am and met up with Gooseandegg , Stainless-Steel-Rat, Budgietas and headed off to the airport in Budgietass taxi. We left Tassie and flew into Adelaide for the mega being for the leap day 2024, collected our hire car and headed off to Goolwa picking up a few caches along the way chasing D & T types and filling our fizzy grid and this was one of them. We signed the log as Team Tassie. We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty.Enjoyed caching in this area, cache and contents were in good condition. Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.
Out for an Australia Day cache or two.Quickly found, retrieved and log stampedGets a favourite point from me cos it involved TFTC
Down this way, which is rare for me.Targeting high terrain and low in number D/T grids.Called in on this one.TFTC SL
We could see it way up there as we went past yesterday and Geokid was so keen to get it but we didn't have the tools. Maybe next time.
We came, we saw, we realised we should have looked at the terrain rating Will bring a ladder back sometime!
Found at 2:29 pm. Just Uni and Luna grabbing a few caches.
Spent quite some time looking, but eventually found it on the ground under some bark, so last finders must have put it there.
I have effected some repairs, but suggest Azzo return with a replacement handle.
Cache is now back in a T5 location

It took us a little while to locate this cache - we were looking far too high. After a few minutes we located the cache at head height. The cache and contents were in good condition. We replaced the cache somewhat higher, at a height where there was a significant short spar but it is still probably too low. Thanks azzo for the cache.
Enjoying a day of geocaching. Found with northstar76,superman_22 and Connor_2011
ound with superman_22,giselle_13 and connor_2011. Loved the cache. Just kidding is getting me lost.
Found at a very easy to reach height. We don’t have the equipment to return it unfortunately
Oops! We got it down but the handle snapped. Kayche22 is sending you a message. Tftc. Fave point
We managed to hook the cache with a natural TOTT, but the handle snapped! I tried to repair the handle but had no tape
Closer to terrain 2 now till CO comes with a big pole!

Found while touring around Kuitpo forest and it’s surrounds. This cache is one that was found today. A quick find and retrieval. Signed log and hid back as found. Had the right tool which made light work. All good here, cheers.

I found your D1.0/T5.0 Small Traditional called Pot 'o' Gold #1 at 09:48 on 29 November 2022. It was find #16716 for me. Thank you azzo7777 for placing this cache for our enjoyment in the wonderful state of South Australia.

Monday outing with Pony1966. After the previous cache where we took the ladder for a walk, we went in with just the pole this time. We just managed to get it down, but couldn't quite manage the replacement, so a quick trip back to the car to get the ladder. If only we could have taken just the bottom 2 steps . Wal made this retrieval.

Thanks, heaps for maintaining this cache! Haven't been able to maintain this one as we don't have a pole at the moment so it's a bit tricky to maintain a geocache that requires a pole
This week only two Befuddled Puzzlers headed southwards once again to the Aldinga area find solved puzzle caches and anything else that we hadn't got whilst passing. Today's it was just me and Blackadders. We also manage a couple of Lab cache series and one took us to an Aldinga Bakery which is where we ended up having lunch. Unfortunately a lot of caches were either missing or in need of maintenance. We did what we could but it looks like we will have to come back again soon.
The plan was to meet at Pot'o'gold #2 in Aldinga. So when I was passing through Kuitpo and saw this cache come up I decided I would spot and get it.
I came prepared and had my many times repaired TOTT. I found a gate only just over a hundred metres from GZ so I didn't have to jump a fence to try and get close. [^] But what I had done was read the previous logs about how sodden the cache had been recently. So in I walked with my TOTT and lowered the cache and saw the sodden proper log and piece of paper put in by Team Waldon. Unfortunately that had also soaked up moisture from the sodden log and made it hard to make a mark. Okay - a find is a find and I had made it. I went back to the car and considered going back with a proper replacement log but I looked at the watch and I was already running late to get to Aldinga.
So off to Aldinga for the day where we had three DNFs, repaired a few more and will probably have to put a few needs maintenance on some others. Poor Azzo is in for a long maintenance run! So on the way home I decided to detour to this cache again. Once again it came down but this time I had a inner container with a new dry log. I removed the sodden lump of paper pulp masquerading as a log , dried everything and left it in fully maintained with new dry login a separate inner container ready for next finder.
You can remove the spanner Azzo maintenance has been done. [:X]

Out for the morning with Trail06.
The weather was excellent once it warmed up a bit.
This cache was at waist level when we arrived. The contents are soaked so we left a bit of paper.
We replaced up a bit higher.

Thanks for the cache as it completed our grid with the right difficulty/terrain. We placed the cache back into the tree tops.
Today is Sunday, weather is fine. I and J plus the little one visited Kuitpo Forest. We tried some caches on the way, and found 8 of them, including 7 traditional caches and 1 mystery cache.
This cache was our fifth find for today. The most surprising find for today.
I noticed the terrain rating. I noticed the attributes. I noticed the geocache description. I knew what I need for this cache, but I didn't have the tool prepared. Anyway, since we hike pass there, I had a look.
Surprisingly, I spotted the cache in an unexpected level. Maybe the whole branch snapped?
Anyway, it made my find much easier.
The log book is soaked. Unable to sign. I had to sign on a card in the cache.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for the cache, Azzo.

Quick find here. Retrived the cache and found a soggy log. To far to go back to the car for another. Left my mark.
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.
This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

My target cache for today. I’m currently working on a challenge cache in Victoria (GC8F0GY) and it turns out that I’ve not found a T5 on a Monday. So here I am. Took me a while to spot the cache, but I did much better here than on my last tree pole cache. I need a T5 on a Friday too, so I’ve left the nearby companion cache to this one for another day. Thanks Azzo7777.
Having seen the terrain rating I doubted that we should head towards this cache. After being convinced by The von Smiths that we should have a look, it took ages to find. I was looking much higher up. Hard to miss once spotted though. Using some local materials and team work we managed to retrieve the cache. The log book is a bit damp but we were able to sign it. TFTC Azzo!
Wow what an adventure to get this down! Big stick and LF79s help. First terrain 5 TFTC
I had come down here to find a newly published cache and as I had a borrowed TOTT in the car I decided to come and find this one while I was here. [^]
Took a little while to find the right tree but when I did the cache was quickly spotted. Didn't have much trouble getting it down. Log is very damp but I managed to stamp it (would have been much harder with a pen). It really could do with a replacement in a ziplock bag as the cache container is not waterproof. Replaced all as found then headed for the next one.
Thanks for the cache Azzo.

found with mogni. Nice short flat walk to gz. That cache is very shiny. Good to get another of this series. quick lower and stamp. Log is soaked.
Out for a hike for Feetlet’s SIA Scout badge. We used a local stick and managed to extract the cache. Cache is a bit damp inside.
I found this cache on a hike to earn my Adventure and Sport SIA badge for Joey Scouts. We used a stick to get the cache, my grandpa helped me.
A short tour of the area saw this one pop up on the radar. The cache was cached with a smile.
Thanks to azzo7777 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]
Found during a circuit from Kuitpo, Ashbourne Bull Creek, Strathalbyn and back home via Mount Barker that included a series of high terrain pole caches, walks through the forest, an entertaining 4WD track and some awesome views over Lake Alexandrina to the Coorong. Thanks for the cache Azzo777!
In preparation for the long awaited Millicent Mega event, I thought I would test out my home made TOTT. Made from heavy duty rigid conduit, I found it was not super rigid at full extension. Plenty of time left to get to the hardware and make some modifications before the mega.
This was the forth of four times I deployed the TOTT today.
Cache found, retrieved and replaced without problems.
Loving these types of hides! A favourite point from me.
Thanks for the cache Azzo.

Went tree-fishing today in Kuitpo, as well as taking the overly-energetic puppies for a run in the forest today.
The forest was very busy today (good weather on a public holiday) and we passed multiple groups of people while walking along. Reinstated and then muggles appeared along the trail.
Managed to get this one down and up without too much trouble.
Nice hide Azzo!
