So fortunately having read previous log I grabbed spare paper out of a nearby cache and placed inside the container. The bag is completely soaked so I placed that around the container instead to try and protect it until the owner has a chance to replace the bag as well! TYFC
Find it. Needs maintenance. The log is just a black ball of goo and is soaking wet. Photo as proof of find.
Massive caching days continue. My online logs do not match with days found simply because I cant keep up with online logging sorry. My alliance of 5 all from WA are three young fit boys and two less young ladies who try to keep them honest. We have been up trees and ladders way more than I like and, like all geocachers who insist on wearing shorts in hot weather, our legs are ripped to shreds from hiking. Logging WAC since the three boys usually cache with a fourth called the Cockburn Crew based on their LGA. Having an almost totally cleared map locally, its difficult to explain the excitement of having a map that has caches literally everywhere. Ive cached in Canberra once with my partner and also at the Queanbayen mega but theres still so many to find. Long days and during the few hours allocated to sleep Im so sore I barely sleep anyway. Thanks so much for your contribution to making the days so exhausting and enjoyable. Much appreciated!
Out and about again, headed around Canberra for the MEGA. Super excited my first MEGA and heading over with 2 others from the Cockburn Crew - signed log as WAC to save time. This is 14760, hoping to clock over the 15,000 finds in the week in New South Wales and ACT.Thanks to RXYI for the caches we found.********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********Head over to Australian Capital Territory for Capital GeoBash MEGA - Canberras first ever Mega Event. Easter 2024 (GC9PNFB): - 5 day event at Canberra Park adjacent to EPIC (Canberra Showgrounds) on the Federal Highway, only 6km from the centre of the city. The mascot for the Mega is Gangles the endemic Gang Gang Cockatoo, a bird you may see or hear while in Canberra. The official website - geobash.ozmega.com.auACT has over 4700 active caches, power trails, and over 100 Lab Adventures. Heaps of challenge caches, hikes for geocaches for all levels of skills and fitness.
Day 6 of my Canberra Mega adventure. Out caching with the members of the WAC crew. The day looks to be another sunny day, so a great day for geocaching . Very happy to claim a smiley here . WAC members- Barnzy12, Lachie1.17, legs5 and Neva2old Some logs signed as N2O or WACTried to sign log but even the power tank pen couldnt do it This is my 12958 find Thankyou RXYIfor placing and maintaining this cache.
The Cockburn Crew are on tour at the Capital Geobash in Canberra - travelling from Perth to Sydney, Canberra, Sydney and finally back to Perth.Today was day 2 and we had an absolute blast. After being up late last night we backed it up again this morning with an early start to make the most of the cooler weather and lack of muggles in the morning cold. We completed a huge number of trails, challenges, whereigos, traditional, multis, earthcaches, labs, virtuals and puzzles. It really was a great day for variety. We enjoyed the large number of virtuals, and caching in territory we havent been before. Weve filled our boots with some of the oldest caches in Australia, some rare DTs and DTTs and generally had a great time. Thanks to the COs for a great day and event. Logs signed as part of team WAC (WA Crew)
Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. All logs have been signed as WAC to save space, abbreviation for Western Australia Crew. Cheers RXYI! Join us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!
7th of 16 found today.Great walk over from the last cache, to make a quick find.Unfortunately the log is a soggy mess, which happens a lot to these containers. Better than the time I found a muggled one of these that had been filled with, umm, #2.TFTC RXYI and the Neptune.
great natural hiding spot. log was too wet to sign tho so ive included a pic of the log instead
A pleasant walk through Aranda Nature Bushland Reserve today enjoying the nice weather and finding a few caches. Lovely to see the wattle trees in bloom. However the log was too wet to sign.
32,268. Found with minniek during an action packed day.
After an interesting morning in Goulburn, we made our way into Canberra to grab a few caches for our calendar requirements. We went for a short walk along the fire trails here for three caches. This was the first one. Quick find at GZ. However the log was soaked - photo attached. Replaced as found, then headed back to go to the next cache on the list.
Thanks RXYI !!

I was not well this morning but decided to come into Canberra with fitzy_1965 to see if I could shake off the cobwebs.
After finding a few, I headed home before dark as I knew I wouldn't make it through the event tonight.
This log was moosh. Unfortunately, we didn't have a replacement on us.

Found while exploring around the area. You don’t see many old school containers like that any more.
The log is soaked.

Have walked by this cache soooo many times with the geodog but never stopped to grab it.

The Aranda bushland area is incredible in its beauty, and we did enjoy our walk here today.
We found this one, no problems, but it does look as if it could do with some TLC. Everything was quite wet today,
Thanks RXYI

I was on my way to dinner in Jamison and had a few spare minutes and decided to get a cache.
It was still drizzling and by now it was dark. I only had the torch from my phone, which made all the tall grass look ghostly, but glittering with water drops.
I easily found the cache, but the log is a soaked and mouldy mass.
A photo is attached.
The hide itself is quite a find.

The trident! Such a cool looking spot!
Thanks for taking us here!
We also found a deceased pen ! I wonder if it was from another geocacher

out for a walk with geodog, Short walk from where we parked car, found quickly, cache container is good.
thanks

The name of this cache is definitely fitting. Muggles proved more of a hazard for this find but after a few double backs the cache was signed and replaced. Plenty of handy single tracks around which we love to see TFTC and happy Pi day
#1815 At the end of a long day a hopefully quick daily find to continue the streak was required. Thankfully this cache fulfilled the requirements for day 479. Thanks RXYI for placing this one!
Passing through with DustyEartha and thought this would be a good one for my daily.
Thank you for the cache

No issues finding this one. It seemed a bit exposed so covered it up a bit. Thanks for the cache.
Found on a lovely not-very-summery day. Thankfully the rain from this morning stopped so it was a nice cool day, perfect for walking.
Parked on Bindubi and headed down the southern edge of the reserve before looping all the way around to the top, before then coming back down the powerline track.
Thanks for placing
These caches are all very well named

After struggling on the very wet dirt roads last night and with much more rain coming today we decided to change plans and hit for Canberra, hoping to do caches suitable for rain and also picking some adventure labs. Slow progress today.

The Omnia Monday evening walk visited the Aranda woodland this afternoon which provided the opportunity to seek out several geocaches. This cache was a straightforward find, being in a spot obvious to geocachers on the coordinates. Certainly deserves its name! Thank you RXYI for installing and maintaining this cache.
After finishing work for the day and walling around Lake G I decided to go do a spot of caching for the day. As I was leaving I drove past a car that looked a lot like Dty73 so I called them to check. What a surprise it was. So with that we detoured to a nearby FTF before heading our separate ways
Seems like some local muggles have found and contributed to this one with a zip lock bag and a pen around the cache...

My first of three caches for the day. It took me a fair while to get from the powerlines car park to here, mostly because I kept on stopping to look at orchids and flowers! This area truly is beautiful! The cache itself was in good condition, and easy enough to find, especially with the title. Thanks for the cache RXYI!
After a highly successful day of orchid hunting on Black Mountain yesterday, I decided to head out to Aranda Bushland to keep going today. I had been to the snow gums area a couple of times, but never up to the hilly woodland. I had a fantastic day, seeing many amazing orchids and wildflowers. The hike was nice and comfortable, not too steep at any point, and the weather comfortable. Thanks to the caches owners for the great hides and location!

#12120 - 8:29:00 AM; On a mission today with Sol de lune to pick up some of the urban caches around Belconnen. Parked the geomobile and set off along the ridge dodging the dog walking muggles for a quick find and sign. The name became obvious once the cache was located! TFTC RXYI
Out with LuckyL10n for a couple of hours 'exercise' and to grab a few caches. Parked nearby so we could hit up 2 in this area. Both were found without issue and once our names were in the log we were off further afield.
Thanks RXYI, cache is all ok.

Just enough up and down for a quick walk around the back of Aranda today. Nice to find the caches safe and mainly dry. Tftc
Thank you, I'd not strolled in the northern end of this reserve before. Delightful.
Needing a Regular cache, I headed over to Aranda after work for a walk in the reserves for a few caches to get the one I needed. Plenty of hills and despite that, quite swampy ground in places.
Thanks for the cache RXYI

I was in the area to find a WP for a multicache and continued my walk to find these three caches. I found this cache and log to be good. Because of the small log, I signed initials. TFTC RXYI.

It was a lovely stroll to get these three new caches of yours in such a beautiful area. As sprinkling rain became stronger, I arrived at GZ for a quick find. TFTC RXYI!
Signed the log dsd or Darksidedan or AB or Adventure Boys to save space in the logbook thanks for the cache and the adventure. Included with my log is some random photos to push me closer to the Diamond Badge on Projectgc. The photos are not about this cache.
Decided to clean up this new trio of caches hidden in Aranda Bushland. Two micro's and a regular to finish it off! All of these caches were quick and easy finds today, thanks to the accurate coordinates and good hints. Appreciated the regular sized cache too, I do love a good sized suburban(ish) cache!
Thanks RXYI for the fun and pleasant stroll through the bush
