I was rather bored on a particular Sunday, with not a large amount to do. I had a friend who was working in Gungahlin, and I needed to get outside and do something with the beautiful day, so why not head up north to conduct a few caching shenanigans involving some of the newer ones released? That I ended up doing, and after enjoying a rather lengthy chat with the aforementioned friend, I headed out on the bike as her shift was ending and set my sights on the new caches in Bonner, as well as a few others that I've been meaning to do for quite a while. Didn't do this one while conducting multiple bike rides nearby, always slightly too out of the way I presume? Regardless, it's been ticked off today! Very Happy Took me some time haha. Thanks for placing this cache DARKSIDEDAN!

Last cache of our afternoon in Little Mulligans celebrating Mother's Day. Lovely little spot that we never would have found without this cache. Interestingly we can hear the booms of the defence munitions being exploded over at Majura. Maybe even flare rounds? Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache DARKSIDEDAN.

A very pleasant if hot walk around this reserve. I was primarily in search of the two challenge caches but of course picked up the traditionals I strayed near. An easy find here although it took two looks at the obvious spot. Then I sat among the rocks for a while to chill out before heading back to the car. Saw lots of roos, wallabies, one enormous hare and a fox. TFTC!

After a bit of delay and deferment, Fitzy_1965 joined me for a day walking along the eastern section of the CCT trail above Bonner. It was a pleasant day which started overcast, but warmed up soon enough and was positively hot as I headed up the steepest slope to Oak hill. We found all the caches that were up there to be found and I took the second image for the virtual that started on One Tree Hill. It was then home to while away the afternoon until the evenings event to celebrate Festivus on the shores of Lake burley Griffin.

Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN

29,237. Found with albida33 during a walk along the border today before the event this afternoon.

Since the CCT Trail changed hands a number of new caches have appeared up this way. Having done the rest of the trail back on 29 February 2016 I thought it was time to knock these new ones off and 'clean the board' again. I've been up this way many times before, so we parked in a familiar spot and started the walk along and up. This was a nice quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.

Thanks DSD !!

Next stop along the trail and no issues making the grab. Log signed and off for a challenge cache.

Thanks again DSD.....

#2026 Second find this morning after trekking straight across from Fork Tree. Another quick find before heading higher. Thanks DSD.

Continuing acceptance trials of the new e-TOTT, today I rode a 17.55km loop around the top part of the Centenary Trail with a 378m elevation gain finding caches and, with the CO's permission, performing maintenance on those caches that required it.

A couple of random photos from my day attached. As always a wonderful part of the world to explore. Thanks, DSD!

This cache was a quick find in the obvious spot, and gets a favourite on behalf of the series I found today.

Bit of a bush bash off the track to reach this one, but cache quickly found once I reached GZ. The hint for this one is in the title.

Cache 8366 on 30 Dec 2021.

Headed out mid morning to grab some waypoints for a multi and a few caches near Forde and the CCT. It was quite warm so focussed on ones with short walks.

Lots of options at GZ, but managed to spot it fairly quickly.

Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache and the fun!

Another weekend in Canberra and again the weather gods are not cooperating. A very drizzly Saturday morning. Grabbed a few caches before Parkrun and then soon on to the walk in Mulligan's flat. Joined up with others and had a great time ignoring the little drizzle. For the day we called us capital Crunchers! This walk went nice and quick, so more time left for some caching.

I have been putting off the new "Canberra Centennial Trail - Section 2B" multi-cache for a long time now since it was published, as it was the only one I had unfound on that route!

Lucky for me I did too! As even more recently I noticed DSD had started to extend the traditional caches in the CCT trail series, as well as replacing some now inactive ones! A total of 6 new caches along this route now, awesome!

With a now compact map without many more holes to even fill along this section adhering to the 161m cache placement rule I decided it was time to take a walk along Section 2B once more and clean up the loose ends!

Enjoyed the multi-cache, and the traditional cache placements along the way. Haven't walked this section for a very long time, the highlight was the incredible views from Oak Hill which I had totally forgotten existed! I now remember how great of a walk this is!

Thanks DSD and TikvaNZ for bringing me back out here

Out and about today in perfect weather both hiking and cycling close to seven hours over 28.77kms with 660m of ascent/descent. Saw plenty of cyclists around but not many hikers. Picked up many caches on our way through Mulligans Flat. Saw lots and lots of kangaroo …… and beautiful birds .

We had great fun and enjoyed the bushland really pleased that it’s coming back to its former glory since the rains. Great to see all the dams full of water .

Quick and easy find. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN

*FTF* with Flintstones, Delta Response Team, Tankengine and Aquilus1.

It was a busy night running around from one cache to the next. When the notifications came out Aquilus1 and I were already in the car heading out for a daily cache find. Didn’t really expect to collect so many.

It was a fun night, meeting up with Delta Response Team, Tankengine and Flintstones. Everyone pulled their weight and although it is winter tonight was very mild and very pleasant to be running around in.

This cache: Another quick straightforward find. Now to walk back to the car and attempt the last ftf available. Tftc DARKSIDEDAN!!!

*FTF* With dty73, Tankengine, delta response team and Flintstone's.

New caches published at night are always great, so with dty73 off we went not realising just how many would be coming out but was enough to keep us busy for some time! At the first cache arrived Tankengine and DeltaResponse Team so into the one car with us all to continue with just one more before meeting up with Flintstone's.

The five of us ended up with quite a productive and enjoyable evening on a mild winters night... up a few small hills and it was quite warm! Always fun for an evening ftf publish and better when we can all share, all taking it in turns to find and retrieve the caches in there various difficulties and terrains as we traipsed acrossed reserves in the dark!

Thanks for the cache Darksidedan

Thank you DARKSIDEDAN for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Lying in bed when... new caches, should I? Yes I shall headed into the city to meet up with the others.

FTF With Dty73, Aquilus1, Tankengine & Flinestones. We joked that everyone had found one so far so it was Dty73s turn and how about that she was the one to find it.
