Wooohooooo!!!! Today marks the end of our streak - 366 days of caching. What a lovely green grid we will have now!! We've had some fantastic adventures over the last year, made some special memories, made great friends and explored places we didn't even know existed. Thanks to all the CO's, PAFs and friends we've come across along the way. We found this cache easily after a lovely walk on a good track with a very short bush bash in the last couple of meters. All in good condition and another one on the list of WA's oldest caches ticked off too! Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, FP given.
Targeted an oldie for this morning and very happy to make the find through the bushes, tftc!
Out and about again, a beautiful day, and half a day spare so packed the bike in the car and headed north of the river. Cleaned up Burns Beach with some caches requiring some bush bashing. Only 1 DNF so that was good.
Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today
Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides I found.

Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides I found.
Found on a trip to the west from South Australia.
It was a beautiful day today, so after the early morning breakfast event I headed out to do a few caches of interest, including this old one.
Thanks nissan for the cache.

Very quick find. A few cache guardians inside the container. Trackable dropped off.
Found with Dora the Explorer on our day off from work. This cache is one of the older caches I had on my list to find and am happy that we have found it. We made it here using several tracks. The walks were not that difficult. About 500m from where we parked. A favourite point has been given. TFTC.
Taking advantage of a work- and baby-free morning, I decided to collect a couple of higher terrain caches. This one was first on the list, as I had recently received instructions on the best way to access the cache. I was very glad for these (and the spoiler pic) as I would never have found GZ otherwise! I spotted some kangaroos on my way in, which made every uphill part of this walk worth it! I took heaps of photos on the way up but they just don't do justice to the amazing views! It's great to have some old caches still maintained close to home. TFTC Nissan...Allan, a fave
Arrived at GZ after an arduous jog/walk at dusk.
Very relieved to have found this well concealed cache in fading natual light.
Possibly even more relieved to have made it back to the sealed path without eating sand on the decent!

Found it. TFTC Nissan... Allan. Had planned to tackle this one several days ago. The weather gods gave me a hot day so it had to be an early start to beat the heat. The walk to GZ was not as bad as I was expecting once I found the old path. Just the last 5 or 6m was a bit difficult. Cache in good condition and well hidden.
Combined cycling walking bush bashing to get our name on this one. PP1 gave blood for the course. It
For ages we have tried to work out the best way to this cache and still not sure of the answer.
A spot of bike riding and a lot bush bashing saw us finally get our name on the log of this lovely old cache.
TFTC Nissan... Allan this is find # 10057 for us.

A quorum of the Fott was here so we are retrospectively claiming the find. If that's an issue let us know.
Out and about with fellow FoTT members Kyzabra & SVKR_WA this morning picking up a few oldies, labs and whatever else took our fancy in the far northern suburbs. The usual bantering and tsk tsking was had from time to time but at the end of the day we're all still mates.
This was one of our main targets today and on reflection I think we have approached it from the wrong direction. Parked up near the chirp multi on Marmion Ave and made our way along the limestone path and then turned left onto the new bike path. We diverted up to 'Elmo's Mate's Place' and I decided to jump the fence and straight-line it to GZ from there, after all it didn't look too hard. My companions decided to take the pussy route along the bike path and we agreed to meet at GZ.
Well all I can say, while doable, my approach is not advisable. I soon came across some very thick terrain and thought for a bit that I might have to turn back. Managed to barge my way through albeit losing some skin in the process. Then I found myself in a valley with a serious elevation change ahead of me, although the terrain was a little more forgiving I certainly burnt a few calories getting to the top.
Eventually with more blood and sweat that I've seen leaving my body in a while I was 30 meters from GZ on some relatively level ground. Had to check the spoiler pic to ascertain the correct approach but soon had this 'Old School' hide to hand. Put all our names in the log book and headed back along the sandy track to the aforementioned bike path.
Met up with my cohorts a short time later whereupon some well deserved back-slapping was had along with some of that tsk tsking.
Awarding a fave for the old school hide and the adventure.
nissan I found your cache at 9:56am, this was the 10th of 17 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 6100. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

SVKR_WA, Granett and I decided late last night we should head out today and clean up a few of the newer labs and also grab a couple of targeted caches on our journey. Mini road trip today.
This one was on our radar and wrapt to knock it off. The path to GZ was undecided until Granett made the call. A bit of huffing and puffing and cache was found.
Many thanks to nissan for placing and maintaining Cache No 19 Spit Hill. We found it, signed it, and put it back as found. We found this one at 10:01 am on Sunday and this is my find 8584.

This one was on the radar as a good old oldie. A challenging path made choosing the right way a must. We followed Granett’s lead on this one. Much huffing and puffing to make the find.
Granett put out the word that he wanted to head to the far north today for some caches, some labs and some fun.
I picked up Granett early and we headed out to meet up with Kyzabra in Cockburn. We all piled into the one car, having the usual Shotgun fight over who sits in the front seat.
As usual for one of our caching trips, there was a great deal of fun and frivolity, with some intermittent caching in between.
nissan SVKR_WA is happy to have found your cache Cache No 19 Spit Hill today at 10:01:42 5 Jul 2020. This brings my find count to 4168
nissan - Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment. We love travelling and visiting some places that we would only visit due to this game.

Out on the track in the late arvo doing the Burning to Mindarie series. A lot of bush bashing to get to this one but I made it. Thanks Nissan
Headed north of the river today with Cravo10 to grab a bunch of caches that have appeared on the map over the last couple of months since restrictions have been lifted.
We meandered our way through the suburbs and got as far north as Kinross before the familiar ping of the new caches came, met up with ooh yeh at GZ and managed our first FTF in a little while. We snagged a few caches with the ooh yeh team today during our foray north, always good to have another couple of sets of eyes for the hunt.
We continued the tour north and made a large detour to the 2002 cache in the alkimos sand dunes spit hill before eventually turning around and heading home via banksia grove and some more loose caches.
A great day out and thanks to the local COs for the fun. Made a good dent in the list but it will definately take another trip to clean out the map again.

Being an old cache this one was definitely on our list today. Sent Mr OOH YEH to grab this one TFTC
I feel like the queen of the hill! Good trek up here to take in the view! Good to see that this cache has lived here for a while!!!
Good walking uphill to GZ, nice view to the beach. Found it easy. Thanks Nathan....Allan for being me to top of hill. TFTH
Today Kapelula and I had our sights on this old cache. We dropped the geo kids at school and made our way north. Found a good parking spot which made the walk in a nice 10min stroll. All up it was around 25-30 min round trip. Cache was located easily with signing duties completed we admired the view before starting the slow trek back home collecting a few northern caches as we go.
Thought we’d have a go at finding this one as it’s been on our radar for a while now. A bit of bush bashing at the end and we soon had the cache in hand, well not really we had to extract the log and leave the cache in situ. We were at bit worried about the long hike, but we were back in the car after a 30 min turnaround. TFTH!
So it came to pass that, motivated by a certain Old Cache Challenge and a reasonably cool day, megawat60 and I tackled this cache. We huffed and puffed, got a few scratches and soon he made the find. Signed log, swapped pathtags, took selfie, now for the trudge back. TFTC for placing this cache back in 2002 when it was a lot further from the ‘burbs, and a FP.
Out ‘n about with m4yb getting a few caches.
Well this one was fun in a strange sort of way! I’m sure I’ve four wheel driven these hills back about placement date time, in my ex’s Suzuki Sierra, great fun and memories.
Today I huffed and puffed but made the distance and located the great old cache, so another one closer to the oldies challenge cache.
Great views and interesting to see the reefs from here.
Thanks for the hide and Nissan... Allan.

Wow, thanks for this cache Allan. This has been on my bucket list since I started caching nine years ago. There has really been no excuse, because it's local to me. But it now has my smilie.
I went out to check the progress of the construction of the new cycle path, Burns to Mindarie, and convinced the geokid that we should knock this one off. I could have bush bashed 200M to GZ, or take the environmentally conscious decision of sticking to the paths.....I chose the latter.
Well, that 200M to GZ must have ended up a 2Km hike, but it was such a lovely morning, it was well worth it. And the view from GZ - just spectacular.
Like the last finder, I actually couldn't get the box out of its hole, so I just undid the lid insitu and removed the log book. Signed it and replaced the lid insitu.
Such a worthy cache, I had to drop my iconic 100K pathtag in the box for the next finder.
Please note: vehicles are not really allowed in here these days. I walked in from Marmion Ave. And the area is a construction zone whilst the new path is being built with no public access. that said, you can get to GZ avoiding the construction zone, so pick your path and all will be well.
From the new cycle path, there is a shortcut to get to the cache, although you cant see that track from the path. I have included a pic of where the shortcut track meets the path, at the top of a large embankment. If coming from the North, this will save you a kilometre of walking. You can walk up the side of the embankment with ease to the track above.
I would once again like to thank Allan for bringing me to such an iconic spot.

We found ourselves in the area today, so decided to grab this oldie while we were here . Parking across the road from ‘Thunder Bolt’, we headed off on foot along the sandy tracks meandering our way in every direction except directly towards the cache
Eventually we had navigated our way along the correct tracks, through some very soft sand and ended up at GZ. The cache was quickly found by DangerMouse 09 neatly tucked away in its’ little nook, and was actually quite hard to remove ... the gap must be closing up over time [?]
With the log signed, we enjoyed the coastal views from the top before making our way back the way we came. I suggested straight-lining back to the car, but i was quickly shut down by the crowd .. they have no sense of adventure!
Very sad to see the rat-race enclosing in on this great old cache .. i feel as though its’ time is limited, and looks like it may be dozed into the ground in the near future
TFTC Nissan... Allan [^]

Apologies for the late log, I recently found some torn pages from my notebook in the bottom of my caching bag which had finds on there from around this time that I thought were lost! I had resigned myself to having to re-visit the caches but I'm relieved to now be logging them instead I drove around the new roads in the car until eventually I managed to park up not too far from the cache - not quite the trek anymore that the CO intended but still a nice walk No-one around today so headed off towards GZ. Sand made tough going but was pleased to make a quick find once at GZ Awesome to tick off these two old caches along this stretch of coast No problems here, TFTC
With suburbia slowly tracking North, the walk is now only about 600m, although the sand makes it tough going.
Great afternoon for a wander. Quick find once at GZ. Good to find a 15.5 year old cache still in action.
Grabbed the TB here too. TFTC.

What a trek.. Made it just before the sun went down and it was well worth the effort. TFTC
Been on the radar for quite a while now. Finally had a spare hour when there were no workmen around. I didn't see the No Entry sign... honest! Phew it's quite a walk.... beautiful views though. TFTC
Found this on a morning jog through the dunes excellent place enjoyed your cache. All is healthy with the geo
Tough one to get to on foot, especially if you keep climbing the wrong dunes! Awesome views, TFTC!
After finding Mongoose Treasure earlier in the day we decided to trek our way too this one! Well what an adventure, we got there in the end! TFTC! Found with Minergal
After what seemed like ages from following the wrong tracks etc, the Fabulous Panda and myself, finally reach GZ and found the cache. The cache is in good condition. TFTC
Thank you. This was such a nice spot to walk to, even though I think I brought half the sand dunes back with me in my shoes . A favourite from me for the walk and location.
I made the mistake of leaving my phone behind and couldn't see any tracks to follow, so I bush bashed 400m using the GPSr compass, I have nice new war wounds from the trip. TFTC - needed this to cross of another blank on my profile.
Great hide! Walked from the beach up to GZ on a beautiful afternoon. Luckily the sand was not too soft thanks to the rain we had recently. Quite a lot of 4WDs around the dunes. Thank you for the cache Nissan... Allan.
Awesome cache, been wanting to do it for a good few weeks now and finally had the time to do it. Wicked views up here TFTC
Found this one after a decent hike with Leega. What a great view. Next time i wont dress in all black if im hiking lol. TFTC nissan.
Wow, we found it! It was a great cache to do for my 200th find along with axell33. (Thanks Dave). A great day to see the magnificent colours of the ocean. It was a great workout walk for both of us. I was very excited to pass all those quongdong trees, some still with the last of their fruit. Thank you for this cache, definitely worth it!
Wow, this was a long sandy walk up and down the sand hills. I opted for an entry along the south route from Burns Beach although still not sure if this was the best approach. I was very happy to find the cache was still there when I arrived. With all the new development going on I was wondering how much longer this cache would last... but upon finding it decided it is safe for many years yet. The only challenge could be the access points.. but for now it is there and ready to be found by anyone willing to make the trek. tftc. FelixII's replacement cache and log book are all doing fine
Me and geokid got a few ticks for our efforts through here on Sunday. Approach the GZ to the north along the track rather than the south track and up the short distance through the bush. Probably where the ticks leapt to their hot blooded hosts. Little blood sucking beasties :-/
Never been through this way. Thanks for bringing us here. So peaceful and fantastic views all around TFTC
Found it today. Was nearby flying my model glider and I havent looked for a cache for a long time.
Thanks for the find.
Thanks for the find.
With this hide being 1 of the last in my 5 km home radius left unfounded, decided today "with the cooler weather" would be the day to make an attempt for the smile and cross it of the list
Headed in from the south as the house's seem to be getting closer. Rode/pushed the geo bike as close as possible then head in by foot up the hill. Nice quick find at gz with a wonderful view. With the duties done, time to head home.
Now where did I leave my bike?

We always like an old cache and having done Everest Cache previously we knew what we where in for. Our Car GPSr picked a likely spot on the main road for us to stop and we soon spotted the blocked old fire trail. We followed it until close to GZ and then climbed up. Nice views but the houses seem to be getting closer. A bit of a search and we soon made the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

This cache has been on our todo list for over 2years but we just could never find the oomph to make us walk the 1km in the soft sand to GZ. We have a 4WD but of course this area has been closed to 4WD for quite a few years now. The fine for being caught in a 4WD in here is not worth breaking it that's for sure!
So it just sat staring at us on our Geo Map. But with a new cache published a few months ago on the beachfront, this was getting closer to the top of the list, but still we hedged our bets.
Today though a puzzle cache was solved and was within striking distance of this one. Having been watching the cache for so long we knew it needed replacing so made up a new cache and Mrs Felix dropped Mr Felix off on Marmion Ave near Kinross Ave and he walked in to this one.
We trashed out the old plastic bits and finders cards that were damaged. As previously mentioned the old log was missing, although the log book cover was there (see photo)
Cache is now a 400ml sistema painted black in the same spot as mentioned on the cache page. 3 small swaps should you manage to get a geo kid in there 2 from us and 1 we managed to retrieve from the old cache. Figured a geokid deserves a reward if they walked the km in

The walk was much longer and more painful than it looks on the map. Plenty of soft sand to trudge through with a final ascent through the bush. Cache is in desperate need of maintenance; clearly a decade of use has taken its toll. Thanks nissan.
No 4wd for us....KB dragged me whinging and moaning the Km plus from Burn's Beach....cheers nissan
Sad to say the cache has been scattered to the four winds. I have gathered up what I could find in the nearby bushes and put it all back in the tree hollow, covered up. From the pattern of the scatter, I suspect it has been blown out of its hole rather than deliberately muggled. We will return in the near future to tidy up what's left of it. There were no logbook contents that I could see.
Great walk in to it, decided to bush bash across from Waukolup and picked up some scratches for my troubles, but it was much more direct than the sand tracks would have allowed. Even in October, it's rather hot and exposed out there in the dunes. Lots of rubbish the closer you get to Marmion, sadly. Take lots of water and a hat!

[^]. Thanks for the cache! We approached this from Burns Beach and should have taken some water!
A long walk but a good one.
Only problem was the cache itself. It was on the ground with the lid off and broken. Contents were scattered in the bush and water was in the box.
Put it back together as much as possible and replaced in the tree trunk.
Will need some maintenance.

Very nice walk and excellent views. Had to negotiate a snake passing the path we were walking on, added some adventure!! TFTC. Left a Geocoin we found in Scotland.
It was found during my business trip in Perth. Fantastic place and I saw wild kangarooes.
The plastic box is broken due to the insolation.

Took the way of the 4wd in and the way of the kangaroos on the way out. Geoson love it. TFTC
Really enjoyed the hike up the hill to get this cache.
Great views from the top. Just a shame i dint have time to head North
and get the next one.
Will have to come back
Many Thanks

Found it after long trek from Burns following kangaroo tracks. Easy find once there. Big Huntsman spider scared the heebie jeebies out of Wallaby junior. Headed to beach for deserving swim after. TNLN. Cheers.
Parked the geoute at Burns Beach and walked in along the sand tracks and out along the beach
Didn't need any pictures as the cache was quite visible from a couple of metres away

I walked in from the main road and enjoyed the walk. I don't think the 4wd access is still open. I took a pencil sharpener and left a wrist watch which I got out of the cache 'Dead Falcon' GC13H00 on the Outback Way. I recommend a trip along the Outback Way. Thanks Nissan...
Nice scenery and a good bit of exercise to gz. Cache found easily. Thanks Nissan... Allan
Found the cache OK.
This is now a walk in only cache. Vehicle access has been blocked. To save a lot of bush bashing, I suugest you leave track at S31Deg 42.999Min E115Deg 43.158Min and follow the Kangaroo trails to the GZ. It is a little longer but yo won't have to contend with spiders and it will reduce the possibilty of picking up a hitchiker (tick). T TB LN SL. I left nothing as I had nothing to leave but felt the TB should be moved on, after beng there for a few months. TFTH Nissan

You beauty! Our first find using a GPS. All the others have been courtesy of Google Earth and a bit of luck. Coords were spot on, but we still didn't spot it for a few minutes until the keen eyes of Geo-junior figured it out. We had a little snack there on top of the hill, then headed back a different way.
Dropped off Darth Dude - happy travels.
Took nothing.
Thanks for the great hunt.

Parked on road next to "Off Road vehicles prohibited" sign and took off down the path carved out by same until the foot of the hill then headed bush to get the cache. It was visible from quite a few meters away. Signed log and tucked it away as best as could but still slightly visible. The SupaChook TB has flown the coop though. TNLN.

Followed every kangaroo trail to every dead end and had a great time adventuring around. Cache was half hanging out ..Re-bagged it and tucked it all in safely. Took:50c (More bubble gum for the boy I suspect.) Left: Torch. SL T4TH.
Went for a bit of hike from Burns Beach . Next time I will go by 4 x 4 . Once you are there it is easy to find .
What interesting sand to walk on! You sink in it like you're walking in mud. What a great view when we got there. I'm sure the white building to the south was the Maritime Museum, just past the cranes at Fremantle. Found the cache with no probs, right on GZ. TNLN. Dropped off Jeep 4x4 TB - quite appropriate for this location! Didn't see the Superchook TB, but then again we didn't look really hard either. Thanks for a cache in a great location.
Soft, soft black sand but an easy find on GZ. We didn't see the SupaChook either.

Parked on the main road and walked in. an easy walk, even with bare feet! Found the cache pretty easily...but...Oh boy, ticks everywhere!!! I counted 8 on my feet heading up!! Louise had some on her legs too! TNLN, but took a few ticks home with us! We're still finding them now! Think carefully before setting out for this cache!!!
Great day for a bit of 4wding. I dont think the council is all that concerned now with 4wd vehicles in this area - just look at the development heading along the coast. Wont be long before all that bush area is housing - from Burns Beach to Mindarie. A few 4wd tracks is little compared to bowling it all over for houses. Anyway - found the cache with little difficulty but missed allt he ticks. Must have stirred them up for Team Trout! OUT - Coast Guard GC IN - Supachook TB
Bit hard walking on the sandy track with bub as I forgot her pouch. Retreated away from the cache after mum retrieved it so Larissa wouldn't get ticks on her. I swapped nothing.

I found it easily after walking along the sandy track. Pulled it from it's hiding place and found ticks had decided they liked the dry spot. Removed the ones that got on me and sprayed the cache with the last of my Bushmans Friend which should deter them from moving back in for a while.
I swapped the trackables and removed the lighter and took in the views down the coast. I put the log book in a zip lock as well.

Walked in from the closest parking (about 600m). Arrived at the cache right on sunset - nice view from here. On my way out saw at least 3 4WD's in the area.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't want a $1000 fine (mind you there are plenty who seem to be prepared to risk it ) L:Little Hiker (seemed appropriate!) TN
Found cache. Bark had blown off so when I replaced it I covered it over. Still in hollow of tree. Great view. Did Waukolup 1st so it was a hell walk from Mindarie. 6 km round trip. Had Barry the Wonderdog with me. Nearly had to carry him home.
Thanks Nissan for a great afternoon.

Managed to find cache after a lot of sand and bush walking from the beachside carpark. Cache was on the ground, so I put it back in its 'hidey hole'. Of course once I was there I could see the surrounding terrain and work out where I should of walked to get to the cache. Anyhow, I really enjoyed the walk up and down the sand dunes.
At last I make it hooray!! What so beautiful view – amazing place. TN L - calling card and SL. Thank you for organise the cache and hunt.
Nice day out. Walked in with the dogs from Marmion Ave after I got scared by the sign that said the Ranger could sting me for a $1K fine.

Very nice spot & great views I,m glad I have 4WD parked right next to it. Took water pistol & left Assorted link puzzles Thanks for the hunt.
Tried walking in across country using animal tracks. The return journey via the vehicle tracks was much quicker. The tracks seem to be well used considering no vehicles should go in. Arrived at GZ at 1050. Sat on the hill and looked around at the advancing civilisation. In the 70's this was the area my brothers and I used to go to on the weekends to get away from it all.

Found at 22:07, was an interesting walk this late at night! Marie & Rhi stayed in the car while Scott went hunting- and nearly ended up with a spider on his head! Night time in bush is NOT a good idea. Hmm...should put that in the newbie tips thingy in the forum LOL! TNLN SL
