A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are heady home from the West Coast today. We cruised home picking up plastic boxes!Occaisionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
Cyclists came thru before searching. Definitely beware the blackberry . Container wet. Log not bad. Tftc
Before leaving Westport today I decided to go and try and sign off a few more on the Coastal Trail.
This is where I had moved my cachemobile to.
Cheers for the cache, weenz.

Heading on a wee family summers holiday.
Reefton done, now time for a few nights in Carters Beach.
After today's adventure up to the Oparara Basin I headed out after tea for a quick spin on the bicycle to pick up these couple caches out the end of this track. Quick find and sign here, Thanks.

While Andy finished sorting the last cache, I headed on and found this one. I was just finishing signing the log when he turned up so he carried on while I put everything away. Dropped off a tb that we picked up in Blenheim a week or so ago. tftc

I started early on my e-bike and thought i might clean up the caches on this side of the river today TFTC!
Another spate of confusion in finding the parking as my GPSr was still pointing at the cx. I really need a copilot on these caching trips. TFTC.
Found with Kiwimykl on the first day of our four day West Coast adventure. We had previously redone the Kawatiri Trail from Westport to Carters Beach due to someone placing more caches on it two days after we last cleared it... you know who you are. After that we did the caches on the Omau to the Cape section. As we are staying at Carters Beach Top 10, we thought we would do the new ones closer to there after we checked in later in the day, and that is now. So after checking in to our accommodation, we once again hopped on our MTBs and headed off. This was the third cache on this section of the trail after DNFing 'Mr Ed' and took a little longer than it should have due to the proliferation of hinted items near GZ and having to check most of them before the cache revealed itself.
Last August we had booked a package deal offered by West Coast Tourism, where for $299 per person we could stay for one night in Hokitika and get access to the Tree Top Walk, then spend another night in Franz Josef and get access to the Wilderness Centre and a helicopter flight over the glacier. We did the Hokitika part of the package on the 17th of August and that night the PM put us into Covid-19 (Delta) Level 4 Lockdown. We decided to take the week between Easter and ANZAC weekends off and do the second part of the package. It also gave us the opportunity to get out of the district to get the required points for the Signal's Labyrinth series of souvenirs.

Decided to cycle a bit more of this lovely track and grab the caches along the way. This one was nicely tucked in. Thanks for the cache
Our first stop on this bike ride.
This is JDScouts and my final long summer holiday in the camper. We're on a tour of the West Coast and geocaching is one of the things on our agenda.
Thanks for hiding this cache weenz I appreciate it.

An early morning bike ride enjoying the local trail, some good scenery, and grabbing a few caches. TFTC
Nice quick find here on my return walk from finding some others further along the track. TFTC # 17,762
Having had a wonderful walk along the Omau Section - Cape Foulwind to Tauranga Bay of the Kawatiri Coastal Trail finding some ftfs I was heading back towards Westport.
I stopped in here to have a look at the trail and decided to leave the majority of them until we come back with our bikes. From what I have seen it is going to be a wonderful ride around the area and there are so many caches still for us to find.
Since I was so close to this one and there was no one else around I thought I would have a look for it while I was here. There was a cool wind blowing by the time I was here so walking along the track would not have been so pleasant.
The cache was an instant find in the first place I looked, which is always a great thing.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley. I look forwards to returning and exploring this track further.
I apologise if the CO gets this log two times, for some weird reason the logging of this cache was not recognised on reach the peaks souvenir challenge, so I am trying to log it again to see if this makes a difference.

Last time in this area a few months ago the skies opened up so we left these for a future visit.
Today we returned with a dual purpose, to find a few caches and to check some after the devastating floods.
As we got out of the car here the skies opened up again but umbrellas saved the day.
Thank you weenz.

It's been a few years since we parked at the end of Elley Drive to find a cache. The sky looked threatening and by the time we set off a shower made its presence felt. We carry brollies as standard equipment so no harm was done.. Thank you weenz
Today my plan is to cache around the Westport area. Weather not that great but I've got my raincoat so it OK - not too cold anyway. After completing the Cape Foulwind walkway, I found a few more caches. Another nice walk, where I got a bit more wet. I parked in the car park and wandered along the track to find the caches. Checked a few spots before I got the right one. TFTC, Biggles.
Over home for some school holiday adventures. This was day two's big walk, started at home and got to the end of Elley Drive 2.5k total there and back. Awesome series on awesome track, can't wait to do it all in a go.
Had a great day on the E-bike, caching on the Westport cycle trails, 39km 6hrs and 44 caches, trails in great order. - Many Thanks Bitsprayer
Hitting town for the weekend. Parked up. Had lunch and then hopped on the bikes.
