If a DNF could get a favourite point this would be it. We found some camo tape but no amount of digging revealed a cache. What it did reveal was ant-aggedon.The camo tape spurred us on but the 20 million ants that were pissed off had other ideas. We had a stick but those fast buggers were crawling up it and attacking us. I have never seen ants move so fast. Two days later and I am still finding them in my underwear. We will be back to avenge. Thanks anyway

This was my second for today - a nice easy find after searching in vain for Specialised. The cache has many many little guardians at the moment, even having doused myself in bug spray they were still interested in me prodding in their nest.I signed the last spot on the logbook (pictured), and the logbook will need replacing, I did have some rite in the rain strips with me, but none that were nano sized.TFTC

Brisbane, we have now set up camp at Thornside for a few days. Visiting the area to catch up with family & also to do some caching.
We chose this biketrail as Bill loves to ride his bike while I walked a few.
Can't say this is an easy trail as there are many micros hanging in trees which took some time to spot. On the plus side the co-ords were good & some very helpful hints. The DT seemed to be low on this series.
Thankyou Oddiewan for placing this cache.

Like some others, the clue went over my head but no matter as within a short time my vision was fixed on a particular spot. I just had to wait for the traffic to ease.
I took cache to a park bench not too far away and proceeded to log. It was a little moist but I still managed to sign.
I let it dry out for a short while before laboriously rolling it back up. I do have a tool for this but of course, not with me
There was some activity on the other side of the road so had to time my replacement.
Thanks Oddiewan.

A smiley has been added to Cycling The Redlands - Cannondale! Big Grin*

Out and about finding a few caches around Alex Hills, and all I needed to do was go and put my name in the logbook! Big Grin to reach the peak of Everest!

3rd one along this path on a rainy morning.

Spotted the landmark from about 20m away and made for it. A quick glance and I thought maybe it’s in the tree. But a longer glance allowed the eyes to adapt and see what was out of place. Nice hide!

Staying nearby and decided to walk this series. Quite a long way and some uphill. We enjoyed the ambience along the way and the variety of hides kept us challenged and entertained. Thanks Oddiewan fav point alloc

I have had this series on my to do list since it was published and today was the perfect day for a bike ride. My compass at GZ was bouncing around before it finally settled and i saw a likely hiding spot and there it was. Thanks for placing this series here for us to enjoy

After joining an enthusiastic group of cyclists to explore the trails around the area this rainy morning, four of us continued on to find a few more, including this one. We enjoyed the variety of hides, some tricky, some straightforward, and most were quick finds thanks to the many cachers that we ride with. All up we rode 30km today, signing logs RRG to save space.
TFTC, Oddiewan. =^.^=

28-Dec-21
This morning, I joined Ruzzelz' Reindeer/Ride Group (RRG) with a morning of finding the *Cycling the Redlands* geocaches series. The rain had magically disappeared from the start of our ride, and it was an enjoyable group session. I then managed to target a few older geocaches in the area before heading home.
In the afternoon, jesswrigley and I headed out and took a walk along Enoggera Creek in The Gap, finding a few of the *On Your Bike* series from #11 to #6. Again, the rain stayed away long enough to have a decent walk along this stretch whilst passing by many muggles similarly enjoying the afternoon.

Ruzzelz' Reindeer/Ride Group (RRG) consisted of bedmakerTG, DisSister, eatmorchikin, JQTB, La Kedi, nikid1, TaxisVW and DrPam, and teamdfl, as well as our esteemed leader Ruzzelz. Meeting at Scribbly Gums, we rode to the eastern end of the trail, with the plan to ride west and collect the caches in the series. We took a coffee break in the middle of the series at the nearby Alexandra Hills Shopping Centre, as well as a few miscellaneous geocaches that we encountered along the way. In total, we rode an approximate distance of 20 km.

We stopped off at this geocache, and with a few of us searching around, it was thanks to eatmorchikin that a cache find was made. ?? The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and we signed as *RRG* / *RR* to preserve space in the logbook. Thanks Oddiewan for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

28-Dec-21
I ride Scribbly Gums usually every second month so I have been cruising ride past a few of these caches on a couple of occasions. With the New Year fast approaching I decided to test the water on whether a few like minded geocyclists would like to complete the trail.

Now the weather was not looking good but as the ride leader i was duty bound to turn up. Right on cue at the designated start time the rain cleared and a group of many set off to clear the Cycling trail to Redlands.

We set off from Scribbly Gums heading East and then back West to collect caches. After the final western Cycle trail cache four of us pushed on to seek additional caches.

ruzzelz raining (not) ride group all had a great morning on 2 wheels including a diversion to Alex Hill shops for a group session at the coffee shop.

I put my hand up when the call was made as to who would be up for a bike ride around this part of the Redlands.
We all headed out today and found quite a few caches.
Some easy, some hard but all thoroughly enjoyable.
Logs all signed RRG for our group of cyclists.

Joined an enthusiastic group of cyclists to make the run through the trails here, stopping every so often to take a wander into the bush or ponder a structure. A great variety of hides, some tricky, some straightforward. Thankful that many eyes made short work of the hunting in most instances and that the rain kindly stayed away. All up we rode 30km today, signing logs RRG to save space. TFTC Oddiewan

28-Dec-21
A call was put out on Facebook to join up for a bike ride and do this series. Still with a few days of rec leave left I couldn’t refuse. There were familiar faces and a few new ones which is one of the reasons I like these type of events as you can never know too many cachers.
In all we did 20km of riding (we did have to detour off the track for a coffee break)
Logs signed as RRG to save on log space.
TFTC Oddiewan for putting out this series.

I have owned quite a few Cannondales. My first was a M1000 around 1990. My current ebike is a Cannondale Quick Neo. My first dual suspension bike was a Cannondale Jekyl.

Found with a large group of crazy pedalers today. Logs all signed RRG for the group. I don't think I actually found any of the caches myself. I was close at a few, and added our team log to some. Many I did not get near as the group often made for quick finding.

Thanks for the series and the effort to put out so many caches.

I initially dismissed the caches actual location, but after exhausting all the other features nearby, returned to discover my mistake…

Out on a bike ride this morning with chamad tackling the new bike series, along with a couple of others along the way.
A great variety of hides in the series, some very clever ideas among them. Found this little guy taking a bath!
Thanks Oddiewan for the great series.

05-Dec-21
A morning of caching with willis007 and a day for a leisurely Sunday bike ride. A ride from Capalaba to Cleveland enjoying the recent trail of caches on the bikeway. A nice variety of caches, some very tricky hides and some not so hard. It was a fun morning and by the end of the trail, we were done. We were planning on another ride further afield, but we were feeling a little lethargic from the heat and the humidity and called it a day. We still managed to grab a couple of the older caches in the area on our around and towards home. We were happy with our haul today, we got to take it easy and enjoy the caches and the surrounds.

This was the next in the run of caches along this trail. A bloody nano in the bush, really, lol, who does that, lol. Took us a few minutes to find but we ticked off another on the list. Thanks for the hide, with log signed and cache replaced it was onto the next one.

Cannondale has some history with us. When we first did a few triathlons back in the 1990s, our bikes were this brand. I have no idea what they were in the way of model or shape except that they were light and good and had fast tyres. Clearly the tyres were just not quite fast enough, as we never came anywhere near the front of the pack. This said, those bikes lasted us well and long.
Thanks Oddiewan

A nice easy cache for a Sunday afternoon stroll

09-Oct-21
Didn't get the meaning of the "hint" for this one and based on finding others in this series we knew we had to keep our eyes peeled and look for something VERY small. Luckily after not spending too much time looking, we spotted the "hanging device" for this cache.

Thanks for placing the cache oddiewan.

Was excited when this series was published the other day. Was close to going for an evening ride but having secured the monthly first and being on a streak kept me home.
Needed a find today, drove out here as the small car needed a few km.
Made a good find here.
Thank you for hiding these

*FTF*

I noticed these new caches yesterday afternoon and assumed they’d be found before now. But when I woke up and saw that they hadn’t been found, I decided to head over for a bike ride before work.

I wasn’t sure what the hint meant and initially went to the wrong target but when I followed the GPS, I made a quick find. Thanks for the cache
