Logs
These caches were placed before the floods that took out a few caches along the river. If no one can be bothered putting a piece of paper in the cache, then its time to go ????? Ive done a lot of maintenance on the road and in very remote areas. It ensures the longevity of caches. But for some its just about the smileys. How does ONE log complaining about a log book that may or may not be full, attract the notice of the Victorian reviewer?
----------### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUESTED PLEASE** ###----------Hi there Ms Maddy,It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is some sort of issue. The recent logs may contain more details about what sort of issues are evident. The cache has been [**temporarily disabled**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235), so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location, until the issues/s can be addressed.**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days,** so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.#What you need to do:-#You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-- **Check On The Cache** - once checked, place an Owner Maintenance log and then enable the cache.- **Place A Write Note Log** - indicating a date when you expect it will be restored. - **Adopt Out or Archive** - depending on whether you want it kept or for it to disappear.Full details for each of the above choices can be found at [**GEOCACHE MAINTENANCE**]( https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/Victoria) on the Regional Policies page. You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned. It would be far better if you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above. Thanks for your cooperation,Bunjil (Pete & Helen)Volunteer Reviewers - Australia[3B]
The things you see in small country towns! After locating this cache, signing the log and returning it to where we found it, we started to drive back into town and lo-and-behold there were two people pushing a supermarket trolley towards us along the road. *Don't some people think in advance that if they are going to the supermarket to shop then maybe they should have something of their own to carry their purchase back with them?* Obviously not in this case and I doubt they would have returned the trolley either.
After a game of golf at Coomy, LittleBoss2, Sorceysal and I decided to grab a few on the way back to Mildura. Quick find here, thanks Ms Maddy
Found with Bogonghazy, sorceysal, geo dog whilst caching in Mildura. Quick find. Thanks for placing the geocache
A few days caching and golfing around Mildura with bogonghazy and littleboss2 and this was on the radar today. TFTC
Dare to be Wild, those that werent golfing must have been at Footy or Netball, so many cars and people. Quick find Tftc
Put way more thought into finding this than was needed. Should have been a quicker find than I'd like to admit. Log is also full, but otherwise in good condition.
My geodaughter quickly spotted this micro cache. At 4:53pm. My geoson enjoyed climbing the nearby tree
Today we headed out of town to Wentworth and then worked our way back through Merbein and surrounds to Mildura. It was a clear sunny day, but wind kept the temperatures down and at time we were greatful to be in the car. Some lovely scenery was encountered from desert like scrub through farming land and the banks of the Murray. We managed Earthcaches, a Wherigo, multis and trads as well as puzzles. We also encountered a number of great cache containers.A busy but enjoyable day.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Ms Maddy.**SKI Pair****
Another delightful day in Mildura and surrounds. It started out a bit chilly, near 1 degree on the dashboard. Again it turned into a fantastic day with blue skies, sunshine and 18 degrees. No complaints from us at all.We wandered about a bit today finding interesting caches and locations. Thanks to Ms Maddy for this hide.
We found your cache today 8 May 2024 11:59am , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC Ms Maddy
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 3 - Moulamein to Werrimul via Balranald, Robinvale and Gol Gol. After a great night at the pub with a fun band, I had a great night sleep before heading off. Typical outback NSW, no bakery's open, so I saved some money there. I started caching in Robinvale, and with all the effort for the puzzles, it was a very short return. Plenty of DNFs. I decided to bypass central Mildura and went around the Silver city highway for a few caches before heading to my nights stop at Werrimul. I first came here with Ballooning in about 2007, so I like to visit occasionally. Only a few blokes playing pool.My trip here was bit of a detour, but in the end I was happy to see three good finds around this small town of Dareton. Thanks for the cache Ms Maddy46387.8 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & September 2017 Orenda A#365**Albida**
Drove down from Broken Hill today to stay in Mildura overnight before heading to Swan Hill tomorrow. We took the dare to find some caches around Dareton and we found this one. TFTC Ms Maddy.
Out and about and travelling from Broken Hill to Mildura and finding caches on the way. Stopped at GZ for this cache and after the search, cache was found and log signed. TFTC
Sydney to Adelaide Road TripDay Three: Around MilduraWeather: perfect! My presence here upset the dog across the road, but it seemed he was home alone, and I carried on and finished the job. An otherwise very quiet spot. Thanks for the hide Ms. Maddy. Its officially a mega.GCA1DNA The Great Leap ForwardAdelaide, South Australia, February 29, 2024.Wed love to have your company.
Sir_spectre and I decided we needed to get away for a few days, so off to Murray Sunset NP and Mildura we went. Not a huge number of caches were found, but we had a great time exploring the NP. We fixed anything we could. Thanks to Ms Maddy from mogni
Found after dinner and under torch light. Quick find. Out with Mogni for a 3 day weekend, leaving friday morning and coming back sunday night. The plan was to go to Cowangie in Victoria and then head in to Murray-Sunset National Park then head on to Mildura and come back via Rufus River road ( in New South Wales ) to South Australia. Night 1 was in the Murray-Sunset National Park at Mopoke Hut camp ground and Night 2 at Mildura then going back to Adelaide. It must have rained recently in Murray-Sunset since the sand wasn't like fine power as expected and other sections of the National park had bypass tracks around the water filled ruts in the main track. Going around one of the bypass tracks i staked a tyre on the friday but didn't notice it to saturday morning. The stake went right beside the tread and the inside wall of the tyre, the stake was the size of my finger tip. Also turns out that i got a screw in my rear tyre thrusday night leaving work. There was alot of reinflating tyres this trip. The flora change in the national park was surprising but i figured that is due to weather or not the ground was sandy or muddy. When we got to Mildura we targeted the 2 multi's mogni wanted to do and of course they were the ones with 7 and 11 stages. After that we targeted the caches with high amount of favourite points and then left the next day via New South Wales so we could get the virtual at Lake Victoria and some of the older 2003 around the border track. A good weekend away 4x4ing.
Heading south today with Selva Girls and grabbed a few caches along the way and this was one of them. Once at GZ the cache was soon in hand. Log signed and all returned as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy. TFTC Ms Maddy
Konie and I are heading south and west on an adventure. Next, we came to this cache. A quick find was made and the log signed before we continued on our way. TFTC
A quick find while in the area to find the Wentworth CORS, good coordinates certainly help. TFTC
Quick easy find with muggle husband after having lunch with friends at the Coomealla Club. TFTC TNLNSL
Came back past today and without the neighbouring dog harrassing us, we were able to quickly find it. Yay! Thanks!
Veni. Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Staying in Coomealla for a few nights and was glad that there were caches close by. So I dareton eed to make some finds. Today, I was wild enough to head out, and this was the last find for the day. Parked close to GZ and wandered over to GZ and, after a bit of a look, spotted the cache in a completely deserted area. Extracted the log and signed it, and then replaced all as found.

A quick drive to the outskirts to try and locate this one ... unfortunately we couldn't locate it and the dog over the road was getting a bit too close bearing it's nasty teeth, so we bailed! Next time when feeling braver!
While travelling through the area we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Caches and contents were very good.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure, yes I know we have wandered over the border. Never mind, it is a wonderful, day albiet cold and wet, and we have joined forces with FelixII so we are off to see what we can find. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.
Full time nomads visiting Mildura to finally tackle the Paddle Steamer with iluvtrekking. Of course we have to stop in town and find some caches here before we go 'bush'. Great weather this morning (although too cold for us) after last nights storm. Off to visit Wentworth today.

Wandered off with Purrfect Di [:X] , and met up with the Froghoppin duo [^] [^] and a whole bunch of other crazy cachers around the place too. Saw some sights, cached three states, and ate a whole lot of pub and cafe meals! Found far fewer mint tins than usual - gold star to Vic and NSW for that one!!!
Happy Geocaching Day weekend!
We dared. We had a wild weekend !!!
Much thanks to Ms Maddy for locating and maintaining this cache on our NSW geo-map

Wandering the countryside - searching, spotting strange items and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guyess or plain old dumb luck
Heaps of that luck stuff actually !!!
*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*
---
Caution! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for germs and bugs !!! . [xx(]
Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on
Keep a safe distance - cache the countryside
Truly fantastic of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting
Appreciate you reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and we can put an end to these long logs !!!

I’m having this week off as others at work had the Easter break off so it was my turn and another trip up North to Mildura was planned.
I was able to leave Melbourne nice and early to get a few caches in on the way up to Culgoa.
So after a great feed and a couple of beers and of course great accomodation at the Kaneira Hotel I headed up towards Mildura to see how many I could find in the Paddle Steamer series.
I managed to find 115 and 165 in the last couple days but the uni joint in my right knee has finally said enough is enough with all of the getting in and out of the Geocruiser so it is time to spend a casual day around Mildura.
I got up nice and early to attend the Dawn Service at the park and it was great to see so many people there paying their respects.
After a wander around town and then completing the Turtle series which was the second reason why I came back up to Mildura it was time to keep my wandering around.
I crossed the mighty Murray river and I’m now wandering around Wentworth and surrounds.
I’m taking the long way back to Mildura to check out this side of the Murray River.
I drove past GZ and had to turn around and come back.
The dog across the road did not seem to happy with me looking for this one.
One day the owners might come out to see what is happening.
Thanks Ms Maddy TFTC.

Found during a road trip via Wentworth, Menindie Lakes, Wilcannia, Cobar, Bourke and Cunnamulla to Charleville and back over 10 days, camping out at some great spots along the way. Met up with e.gregory1 at Bourke and we spent the next four days caching around Cunnamulla and out to Eulo, Yowah and Charleville, before e.gregory headed up to Townsville and I made my way southwards towards home. I camped out near Balranald last night and spent the day caching from Balranald to Wentworth, then finding a great campsite on the Murray at Merbein Common. Thanks for the cache Ms Maddy!
Last day in Mildura, had to go to Wentworth this morning. Picked up a few caches on the way. TFTC
A quick find on a day out geocaching north of the border from Mildua. Before venturing to the GZ I needed to wait until a local dog that seem somewhat lest than best pleased at my arrival lost interest and wandered off. TFTC.
Thanks for placing them with wife on night duty i have runaway and grabbed a few caches in the area. we found this cache all good
A good day was had while grabbing these caches

#13067 - 10:22:00 AM; Day 5 of the Wang Mega tour with Sol de lune. Finished off "The Turtle Series" this morning and collected this cache as we started our journey east for Narranderra, where we plan to spend our last night away. A local pooch took an interest in our activities here, although only perhaps because he had wandered away from home. The barking stopped when he was claaed home and I added my name to the log as Sdl had found this one on an earlier visit. TFTC Ms Maddy
25,440. Found with minniek, Sol de Lune and Smittengranny during our post Christmas / New Year trip over to South Australia and Victoria to tackle the On Your Bike and Paddle Steamer series among many other caches.
This cache was a nice quick find. Second find of many for our trip.
When minniek and I were in South Australia in January this year (2021) doing the On Your Bike series of (then) 100 Wherigo caches, we were talking to the CO who mentioned that a whole lot more were soon to be published, and they were - 512 more ! So once back home we set about solving all those new ones which was at least something to do during 'stay at home' orders effecting us. Then once they were all solved we planned a trip over to grab them. Then just to add to the fun the latest 152 were published just in time for us to spend time solving them all so we could get the whole set. With our caching friends Sol de Lune, Smittengranny and albida33 this series was our main aim, but with the 'Around the World in 81 caches' series, various solved puzzles and the Paddle Steamer as standby if we got the time.
We managed some BIG days caching and finished off the On Your Bike series in three days, then attempted the mammoth 'Around the World in 81 caches' series and some lovely high/rare D/T caches - all in searing summer heat peaking at over 40 degrees ! Once they were finally completed we headed over to the Mildura region for another two blistering hot days doing the Paddle Steamer series. After camping for five nights we finally relented and got hotel rooms for the last two nights and worked the air conditioning to the bone.
All in all an amazingly fun time was had, and we have all made room in our calendars for when the next part of the On Your Bike series is published - no pressure ! Highlights included many of the fun tree climbs, the pole caches which increased our skills at the recovery and replacements of those styled caches, and the relaxed times and banter around the camp site at the end of each tiring day - including New Years Eve !
Thanks to all the COs for contributing their caches to our fun times, and I must apologise for the generic logs as we did find well over one thousand caches which now require logging !

Decision was made to join in the Smittengranny, fitzy_1965 and Minniek convoy to South Australia to tackle the On Ya Bike series and Curlwaa caravan park was our camping spot for day 1. Once camp was set up for the night, we headed off to find a few local caches. We had no issues with this one and the cache was soon in hand and our names in the log.
Thanks for this little of 'Dare' series of caches and for also showing us around a few areas Ms Maddy......

Day 1: SA/Vic Christmas holiday trip
Last Christmas holidays, fitzy_1965 and I (along with two geo-kids, Death Killer & my_name_jeff_1) headed to SA to visit family whilst we could, and to collect as many counties and caches as possible along the way. We decided even before getting home that we needed to go back. The added incentive of more On You Bike series sealed the deal.
Fast forward through 2021 (because who wants to remember that), and here we are again heading West in the hope that we get our negative COVID-19 test in time to cross the border.
In convoy with Sol de lune & smittengranny, we stopped at Curlwaa for the night. After setting up camp, we decided that we needed a little cache therapy after a full day of driving. A sneaky five caches for fitzy & I.
All caches were found quickly and easily.

Thanks Ms Maddy for the cache.

Very busy at the oval today with footy in full swing on all the ovals near by. Quick easy find on our way to visit the Perry Sand Hills. TFTC
A flock of Disciple Birds have taken over here, watching ever move we made. Just little sticky noses. TFTC
Enjoying the slower side of Dareton rather than our usual quick travels through it we were presently surprised to discover the nearby oval! We never knew this was here and it looks so well kept! The very accurate coordinates took us right to the geocache and we made our mark on the paper. Thanks so much for placing this here and showing us some of Dareton that we have never seen before. {FTF} @ 2:42pm
