Logs

27-Jan-24
I managed to solve this one last night after seeing the trick to it. The container is not very waterproof but luckily iTeem had put a replacement log which was still signable. Tftc

29-Aug-23
I needed a nudge with this puzzle to get me started.
Today after completing the hill climb AdLab, I realised this series was nearby, so continued on the bike to search them out.
I initially focused on the wrong match for the hint, but made the find after looking further afield
The log and bag were quite soggy, so I added a replacement waterproof log in a new bag.

This one took us longer than expected, even when using the hint. A very clever hide. Log is wet and will need replacing. TFTC

Enjoyed the puzzle, liked it’s relevance. Found today while out on a lovely walk with Skylizard. Thanks Veevers12 for this excellent series.

03-Jul-23
I enjoyed completing all the puzzles in the Logos series a while back. Today TanSaf and I went out to find the caches. After a bit of a search the cache was in hand, the log was damp but was still able to be signed. Thanks veevers12 for the series

02-Jun-23
Found it! Muggle Heather and I managed to walk past GZ and had to double back to find it! After a few moments of circling about, I spotted the cache hiding away. The container had some water in it and the log was quite damp. Not sure if the lid is sealing properly. Tried to secure it as best I could. TFTC SL

OzHockeyChick and I had some unfinished caching business from yesterday so we decided to head out here in the GeoRanger MkII and to enjoy the sunshine.

This one took a bit longer to find. It was not in the spot my geosenses first took me. OzHockeyChick finally spotted this one. The container was not sealed properly and the log bag was inside out so the log is a little mouldy. Inverted the bag and resealed the container, but it could do with a new log on the next trip past.

Thanks veevers12 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Didn’t think I’d be back in this area so soon! But determined to make the most of the unexpected opportunity to grab another cache in the series I parked very close to the cache and started my search. I didn’t have much time and my search was proving unsuccessful. I decided to leave it, when Bingo I saw the very well hidden cache. Log book is a bit wet but holding together. Thanks for placing the cache.

29-Dec-22
Not sure on most of these puzzles but I can do a jigsaw! Solved at home and dropped in while in the area. Very overgrown after all the rain and cache wet inside. Hard to find but I had coords about 6m away. Thanks for the cache.

Find this arvo. Log a little damp. Drain container of water and replaced. Tftc

19-Sep-22
Needing to fill a spot on my calendar today, I decided to start picking away at these long time solved puzzles. Thankfully it wasn’t too wet underfoot here with all the recent rains. A quick find at gz.

Thanks for bringing me here today by placing this cache, veevers12

Nice hide. Another fun one to keep the grey matter firing. Out and about on trusty treadles aka the MTB to make a dash on this series whilst in Marvellous Melbs on a crisp sunny winters day. Enjoyed the parkland in the burbs and located all caches
quickly enough. TFTC and the FUN!

Container cleaned and dried. Replacement log now I play.

23-Jun-22
Yep, a sneaky one. Found today with a few others I'd solved recently, but I must have got one of the other easy ones wrong, as I couldn't find it.

13-Jun-22
Sneaky but fun here. Another one that I loved completing.
Accurate co-ords meant for a nice find here.
Thanks for the fun veevers12

25-Feb-22
Last of this series today. Just enough finds to get us to "Reach the Peak". Hopefully back soon to complete. Log slightly damp, but all good otherwise.

09-Jan-22
Another puzzle that had me wondering and again it finally clicked.....

An evening walk with geopartner tonight and a lucky find thanks to spot on coords.

Thanks to veevers12 for the placement and fun.

Lockdown was good for one thing, puzzle solving. With the series just waiting to be collected, Steve & I headed out today to try our luck finding these caches.

The puzzle came together nicely, once I noticed what needed to be done. At GZ, we split up to investigate spots matching the clue, and it was Steve who came up trumps.

Thanks for this terrific series veevers12.

28-Dec-21
Solved this one a while back but looking over it today couldn't remember what the solution was! Had a look around for the container without luck and my teammate went over and had it in 1 minute! TFTC

After a big day of eating yesterday, it seemed appropriate to walk off a few calories. We took the dogs for some exercise and picked up this cache.
This was an old stamping ground of mine as a teenager. I attended the monthly hillclimbs on a regular basis. So many memories flooded back today.
Thanks for the puzzle, and the cache, veevers12

Found at 4:26 pm.
Beautiful weather today so I took out the bike for some off road and bike trail riding and also finding a few puzzles I had solved as well. I had a great time riding around and it was surprisingly quiet on the muggle front which was great. Only had 1 DNF (mainly because I stuffed up my calculations I think) so it was a good few hours in the afternoon.
I enjoyed solving these Logo caches and needed a little help on one of them but riding around today I made the finds at each location reasonably easily.
Thanks veevers12 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

11-Dec-21
This was an excellent series of do-able puzzles which I solved a while ago. Today was marked down for collecting the caches, which involved a lovely walk along a bushy trail. This cache was found no problem.

Find number 9961 at 1:13:54 pm on Sunday the 28 November 2021
Out for brunch in Warrandyte and needed an unknown for the day so we travelled home via this one.
Parked in the VERY nice estate just down the road and walked to the GZ, quickly found and signed. Walked a bit further to stretch the legs before heading home.
**Thanks for placing this cache veevers12**

It is GMelb’s birthday, so we had lunch by the Yarra in Templestowe, found some caches there, then visited a nursery and then headed to these caches. G Melb solved them not long after publication with some help from the Zoom Puzzle Group
We made the mistake of parking on someone’s front nature strip as the road was very narrow, the man was very cross and wouldn’t accept our apology. His words were “ No Sorry, I have taken your number plate, this is a warning, next time I will report you to the council”!!! So don’t park in Cliveden Court even though there is a nice access track there. After finding no 3 we headed back to the car and had the altercation with the above mentioned gentleman. (We drove to number 6, then this one) JMelb hadn’t realised where we were and discovered this one was quite close to where a friend lives lol JMelb found this one quite easily

Nice easy puzzle to solve and after parking nearby we walked back to GZ and quickly found the cache. As with some of the others in this series GPS devices proved to be few metres. Thanks to veevers12 for the puzzle and cache.

Manfred was pulling, so we decided to walk to the end of this caches, to try exhaust him (haha he walked 12km today and isn’t tired yet), and search on the way back. I will admit I didn’t let him come in to search for this one. The grass was too long, and the snakes are out. So I went in minus my sidekick and soon had the log signed. Thanks for placing the cache veevers12, and for the puzzle.

21-Oct-21
Found with icw. This was a fun puzzle to solve. A few muggles were wandering around near GZ, but it was easy to time cache retrieval and replacement between their appearances. Tftc and the series.

TFTC, found with Ninja Tortoise. We are hopefully going to clean up the balance today. Three to go

18-Oct-21
I had nothing better to do during the extended lockdown than solve all 5 puzzles in this series. I wasn't sure at first how to solve this puzzle cache. I tried a few things without success. I eventually noticed something that led me to the method to obtain the cache's co-ords and get a tick from the geochecker.

I dropped by this cache today for my daily cache and walk. I finally picked the right day and time to come here as there were hardly any muggles around, compared with my previous visits to this popular trail when there were tons of cyclists and walkers. When I got to GZ I noticed lots of spots to hide a cache, which also matched the hint. After searching a few of them I found the cache and signed the log at 5:15 pm. TNLN. I used hand sanitiser before and after finding the cache.

Thanks veevers12 for the challenging puzzle and the well-hidden cache in a very popular park. It was great that the cache was hidden well away from the busy trail. I will be back soon to find the last couple of caches in the series.

14-Oct-21
I'm looking at the puzzle now and cannot remember what the trick to solving it was. It doesn't matter that much - I've signed it now. Thanks veevers12

Grand final day caching! On the bike and out for a find or two. Tftc

22-Sep-21
I have used my lockdown time to solve many puzzles, sometimes by myself and sometimes with a group of friends via ZOOM.
Now that we can travel more than 5km from home I was able to get out today to find some of my solved puzzles list.
This was my first find for today and of course I had to avoid gaining the attention of the Parks Victoria worker who was mowing the grass nearby.
Thanks veevers12 for this puzzle and the cache hide.

21-Sep-21
Gotcha!! As lockdown starts to ease and our 500m radius extends to 1000m, it’s time for sad to do a little caching again.

Did a bit of puzzle solving over the weekend and achieved four green ticks, and then tonight it was time to grab the first smiley. Fun puzzle and great hide. Tftc

19-Sep-21
Out for a drive and picnic in our 10km lockdown, xambo4u and I had solved the logos puzzles and decided it was a good time to find them so we could ‘Reach the Peak.’ Quick finds on a lovely walking trail, thanks veevers12.

19-Sep-21
Out and about with echidna44 and husband for their usual Sunday drive. Only thing is that because of covid we managed only 4 kms from my house. Parked amongst the upmarket homes and walked through them to pick up the path. Lots of people on the track today. Enjoyed doing this series of puzzles but still needed guidance. Thanks for the puzzles and caches veever12

16-Sep-21
It was a reasonable afternoon and I needed a "non Trad" cache for a challenge I am working on... and having solved this one recently with a bit of help from the CO (it is a matter of looking the right place for the puzzle as well as the cache!), I decided a long walk was in order.

As with the other caches in this series, I parked at Lower Eltham Park and set off for a long walk... that's OK though as I need to get training for the Oxfam 2021 Virtual Trailwalker in November. It was about 7.5km round trip today by the time I had found the cache and made back to my car... all within my 5km bubble!

Thanks **veevers12** for the puzzle and the cache.

Puzzles solved quickly on day of release, just in the wrong place to try for FTF. Today was a bike ride in lovely sunny weather to grab all this series.

An easy solution and a pleasant walk later, a cache.
Sat on a bench seat in the afternoon sun and logged it.

It was a lovely winter's day so we decided that we would take the geopooch out for a bit of a walk and grab a few caches on the way.

I had solved the series quite quickly but had not found the time to get out to find them until today.

A quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

05-Jul-21
This was the first of this new series that I'd solved so I guess it's fitting that it would be the first of them to find. Wink I took a diversion to have a look this morning but after a series of detours and hold-ups, it took me longer to get to the area than expected. Sad

At least the pleasant walk to GZ was soothing and once there, I was soon signing the log at 09:35. Big Grin

Oh well, the others will have to wait for another day I guess. Wink

TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks veevers12.

Found by Rebel Acts

Another caching day with My caching Mate Omegaman1971. It was a rather cold winters day but the rain held off long enough for us to find a few, we started off In Montrose and did a bit of a loop finding new publications and solved puzzles as well as few we had not yet done.

This is one of the caches We found today. A nice straight forward puzzle. Just some feed back on the container choice, you may find these will not last the test of time and will not keep moisture out, leading to soggy log books. but well done on your recent milestone and puting out some nice puzzles and showing us this area.

Thanks veevers12 for the cache.

Out and about with Rebel Acts on this cold Melbourne day putting some smiles on the map. Cheers for the enjoyable puzzle and the chance to get out for some exercise and laughs with Rebel Acts.

With the number of muggles around here, I was happy that this one was away from the path. I searched in a similar nearby spot for a while before spotting what I was looking for. I enjoyed my morning walk around this nice open grass area.
Thanks veevers12 for the fun series

We found this cache today on our Yarra River Ramble. Headed now on our bigger walk for the day to start this series. This one was soon in hand and our 179th 3TF. Thanks from D & HA B-A

{FTF} @ 4:52pm

It must have been a quiet day or all the local cachers are on holidays. I really didn’t think I would get there first to find here.

I noticed these were published while I was at work. I came home and thought I would have a look at these mysteries. After quickly solving them I checked and no one had made the FTF yet. So I grabbed my keys and headed out. The traffic was very busy and I kept thinking that someone has surely beat me. I parked and started walking. There was someone sitting on the nearby bench close to GZ so I continued on to see if I could pick up #4. After grabbing the FTF at #5 I beelined back to this cache. As I approached GZ the person who had been hanging out at the bench had thankfully moved along. With excellent co-ordinates once again I quickly found the cache and a pristine log! Thanks for the puzzle, adventure and fun veevers12.
