Tftc and AdLabHeaded out on an adventure or two today. I enjoyed exploring this area and quickly worked out gz. Here, I soon had the cache in hand and signed.

#6285Out exploring today and grabbing a few caches. This was one of them.I enjoyed collecting the answers to the AL and then finding this cache. Love those trees. Thanks for the geofun.

Great Al and lovely spot for the Bonus. Very healthy specimen. Cache container however is waterlogged and log is papermache ! Not game to even try to remove it to sign. TFTC though. A great little history stroll.

10-Oct-24
Cache container and log replaced. Happy caching

08-Oct-24
Off for a cycle to Fingal Lighthouse collecting a few cache and AL stages on the journey. Completed the AL on the return, in the correct direction for this sequential. With coordinate for this bonus, I hit the GZ aware there was a 10+m variance. Using the hint, in the first place I look I spotted a geo signal and quickly uncovered the cache. Lovely location. Thanks for placing the AL and this bonus cache leaffairy12 #2983

A long weekend in Kingscliff and with Mrs Gunnie enjoying a massage, I hit the trails in search of some caches. Big GrinI'd done the pre-requisite labs for this on Friday evening, so I had all I needed to establish the final location. On arrival, relatively quiet although the old fake phone call and a little leaning made this one a nice quick grab. SmileOut with the log, in with my name, I tucked it back and added a piece of camo that I found close by and looked out of place.Cheers leaffairy12.

24-Sep-24
Couldn't find on the first day I tried, however I came back on the second day and I almost gave up, however I eventually found it! Thank you leafy for the adventure lab and the geocashe!

23-Sep-24
Didn't find. I did the adventure lab, and spent a good 45 mins looking for it in the final coordinates but nothing

10-Sep-24
We made a fairly quick find here after completing the adventure lab. Even with the ominous clouds it was a nice day for a lunch tine walk. Thanks for the cache!

07-Sep-24
This was our second attempt at finding this cache. It was very nearly another failure however, Mrs Herbz found a very helpful photo in a previous log. When she located the item in the photo she called Mr Herbz over and he had a good poke around. It wasn't long before he found the prize. For us this cache was about 20 meters off our GZ. Maybe we had miscalculated. Anyway very pleased to have found this at last. The Adventure Lab was enjoyable as well. TFTC.

05-Aug-24
We are in North East NSW for a quick caching trip, mainly concentrating on Adventure Labs, Earth caches and Virtual's as there is no muggle problems with this type of hide. We hope to also try our luck at any other types we get near.We had a great time working our way through this Adventure lab and at the end we were rewarded with a set of coordinates for this cache. We followed the GPSr to GZ and for some reason missed it first round so expanded our search with no luck. We then came back to where the GPS first said and spotted it straight away.Oh well at least we have our name in the log and every thing was returned as found. Many Thanks for the AL and this bonus.

04-Aug-24
So down on the Gold Coast hinterland to do some work this upcoming week, but extended by a few days to grab some caches, go to a market, and the like. This Ad Lab and bonus cache were the start of our adventure.Cache 3 for the day.Decided in the afternoon to take Geo wife to Kingscliff. I have been there before for a work conference, but she has not. So went down, had a picnic along the foreshore )near Ad Lab stage) and grabbed a few extra smiles on the map.Cache is in good order and exactly where co-ords said it would be. Thanks.

23-Jul-24
Finally got back to kingscliff to hunt for this one again.. Couldn't get it out though to sign it, here is a picture instead! Tftc!

18-Jul-24
Mrs Yullaba was eagle eyed today. Had it after a short search. Took us a while to get the log out of the container TFTC

Sad to say a dnf today

07-Jul-24
Quick find out for a post-bowls wander.

25-Jun-24
First ADVENTURE LAB cache, Was able to learn about Kingscliff history and get lunch at the Hotel, TFTC.

25-May-24
Fab way to learn the history and enjoyable stroll. Tftc

25-May-24
Did the historic trawl of Kingscliffe. Not many of the originals encountered in the parks, on the beach or in the surf club. But did have a great feed at the SLSC and looked at their history on the honour boards. Pretty impressive really. Thanks leaffairy12 for a Kingscliffe distraction.

25-May-24
Nice Adventure and a bonus quick find TFTC

29-Apr-24
Found by Mary and David at 14:50. Finished the Ad Lab yesterday, but we were due at Tweed Heads so no time to find the Bonus. Able to come by today while doing the Tweed Coast Ad Lab, so it was on the list. A FP for the whole experience and the views. In the area for a Reunion of David's RAAF Course - 62 years since they all started. Our thanks to leaffairy12.

28-Apr-24
Really disappointed here.Did everything we were meant to and have the coordinates and can't find it. Nevermind, had a great walk and learnt some history!

29-Mar-24
The cache for this AL bonus kept consistently going missing. I have slightly changed the location. Happy Caching.

18-Feb-24
Apologies this one has gone missing again. Not sure if it's the wind blowing it out or cachers not replacing properly. I will have to source a new location. Watch this space.

11-Feb-24
We completed the great AdLab and easily came up with the final coords for this cache. We searched all around GZ and remained empty-handed. Sorry leaffairy12 11 February 2024 14:36

04-Feb-24
Had an idea what the actual cache could be but ironically there were lots of natural items which looked like what I had in mind when viewed from a distance but were clearly not it when I moved in for a closer look. Not quite sure what Team Canary means by Replaced under the side. Its been quite a while since our last physical find - our own cache maintenance needs getting in the was of actual finding time, so perhaps our eye simply wasnt in. Thats for the opportunity, We definitely enjoyed the AdLab. Ive been a regular visitor to this spot since the 1970s so lots of changes observed.

01-Jan-24
A wet walk along Kingscliff before watching The Whitlams. Then off to the final where I was distracted by where I would hide it and took forever to spot it, out in the open. Replaced under the side. TFTC.

18-Dec-23
Staying down the Gold Coast with geo-friends for a couple of days and I was the only one who didn't have this one. Finished the AL then headed to final with the help of previous finders it was quick. Log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC

10-Dec-23
We were visiting Ballina earlier in the day and once that was done we thought lets do a few AdLabs on the way back to Brisbane.A few years ago we had a pretty good pizza in Kingscliff from the local shop so we decided pizza was a good excuse to stop again. With a full belly of pizza and garlic bread we decided the nearby AdLab would help walk it off. We enjoyed our walk up and down the street and once finished had the co-ords for this bonus. Pretty soon we were at GZ and the cache was easily located. All was good with the cache. TFTC

09-Dec-23
Was here with elina-maree

09-Dec-23
Found with TahleeGrace (her first geocache) after we completed the 5 adventure labs stages. Had to wait until ice cream eaters finished up and moved on.

26-Oct-23
Checked on this cache after coming back from holidays and noting a few DNF's. It was indeed missing. Apologies. Cache replaced. Happy geocaching.

25-Oct-23
We were here two days ago but when leaffairy12 saw our post they replied that they had been away and had been unable to check the cache and gave us permission to log the cache which we gratefully accept.

25-Oct-23
Thanks leaffairy12 for being diligent with your cache maintenance after your time away from home. I was disappointed not to get a physical cache while in the Tweed Heads LGA. Im also pleased I didnt miss what wasnt there. It wasnt my lack of cache finding skills. Its was a great cache to introduce myself to your main shopping shopping strip/foreshore.

23-Oct-23
Another DNF from us although we gave it a good look but found nothing. Probably time for the CO to have a look to see if the cache has gone AWOL.

22-Oct-23
It was too good for me, too windy and lots of muggles to look around

14-Oct-23
I was pretty sure I was looking in right place but just couldnt find it today.

10-Oct-23
Got lucky with the adventure lab as we happened to be passing waypoint one in the car when I opened the app. Then when we parked, we fortuitously started strolling in the right direction. We had lunch at worst burgers so I ducked over for a hunt for the final, but had no luck poking prodding or staring angrily so sulked off in frustration.Oh well. Thanks anyway.

27-Jul-23
Today's holiday geo-excursion has taken me down the coast from Coolangatta to explore the various towns that have sprung up in recent decades ... and to chase some ALs and normal caches, of course.

No problems with the questions (though I would have preferred it to be non-sequential since I was starting at the southern end of Kingscliff) and after getting the coords, headed to GZ where I identified where the cache would likely be straight away. No luck feeling for it but then noticed someone saying they had to use a tool to push the cache out. Problem solved!!

Thanks for creating this adventure for us to enjoy and for the bonus smiley.

13-Jul-23
A friend was having a surprise milestone birthday party and a trip to Brisbane was required to attend.

After accidentally (on purpose), booking my flights a few days earlier, it was time to do some pre party caching around town.

After a successful dinner event last night, (a not so successful State of Origin game though from what I hear), it was time to head south. The Gold Coast, Byron Bay, and everything in between!

I have visited Kingscliff once before having had a work conference here, long before I was caching. After completing the adventure lab I made it to GZ and managed to get the cache out. Today I was first to sign the new log book.

Thanks leaffairy12 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

I have just checked this cache today. It certainly had gone missing. Still, first time since it was placed so it's done well. Happy Caching.

01-Jul-23
We had a good look around. We spotted a stick in one of the knee high hidey holes but no container. TFTH

25-Jun-23
Today was a family day down in NSW north coast. I had time to find the bonus cache. I had done the AL awhile ago.
We had a very busy day here then we headed home.
Leaffairy12 thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for my enjoyment.

GC9CVFY A little bit of Kingscliff history- AL bonus cache

Down at Kingscliff with the family for the morning.
Saw lots of whales.
Had a lovely walk along the foreshore grabbing the answers. Did struggle with Q4. The sign has a - but trying it without it worked.
Had to out wait some muggles.

23-May-23
Had some time to kill this morning so did a few ALs and this was a bonus. Left pen in car but N managed to extract the cache (and left the tool handy for the next person) Thanks for the work to create the AL. Confused that one of the words was not exactly as written on the plaque and the bowl club sign has changed a bit.... with a sequential Adventure lab you need to make the questions and answers spot on otherwise people can get stuck half way through (or use the multi choice option) HN

29-Apr-23
Found the required numbers to come up with a final location for the bonus cache
.
Tftc and the walk this morning

Muggle65 and l were returning from an epic road trip and the tiredness was starting. I was a bit of a passenger as l was thinking about having a Nana nap. Nevertheless, the AL was completed and the bonus found. Thank you for the fun

25-Apr-23
Returning to QLD from the Rutherglen Event I realised as we were heading past Kingscliffe that I needed a place date, unfortunately it was attached to an AL. (Not a fan of Geocaching supposed future direction) I did find it informative and interesting re the history of Kingscliffe though I was confused on 1 stage where the question asked for what type of tree during a particular time and the sign told of a different tree.
Thanks for the hunt, loved the hide.

09-Apr-23
Good way to get to know a bit of Kingscliff.

08-Apr-23
Down the coast for a mini Easter holiday visiting the Outlaws and whilst in the area doing a bit of ALs and their bonuses.
Enjoyed the AL but we needed a stick to extract the cache at the final.

T-Tech and I are staying at Cabarita for 2 days and today was our chance to go caching. We targeted 3 ALs and their bonus caches.

A leisurely walk gave us all we needed for this AL and after crunching the numbers we headed off to this bonus cache. Finding the cache was straightforward but we needed a tool to push it out of its hidey hole. TFTC and AL, leaffairy12.

23-Mar-23
Gentle stroll along the beach at Kingscliff. TFTC

20-Mar-23
Delighted to be out caching with friends in this part of the world again. Didn't find too many as we didn't get started till lunchtime and a couple of sneaky hides got the better of us, but we were still happy to be outdoors on such a lovely day. Pity we had the clock ticking against us as the water looked very tempting for a dip, but not today.

We had a nice drive along here visiting the waypoints and enjoying the scenery.

Caching today with RoddyC and echocage1 down the coast. Always seems to be a dot out there that needs a smile.

Our first AL for the day. Nice compact tour and the prize was just there.

Cache container replaced today. All is well here. Happy caching.

30-Dec-22
Staying most of this week in Kingscliff, I discovered I have completed virtually all the ALs and caches for miles around, except this one.
Over several days, I knocked the AL off and then went to get the Final yesterday, only to find muggles camped at the spot, so to speak.
Today it was raining and so I walked back over, only to find another muggle in the same place… frustrating. I hid out nearby and then swooped, though I went to all the wrong places first.
Then I found the cache had been pushed in a little too far to be easily removed and needed several different sticks. Then the rusted lid detached… etc. etc.
We got there in the end. TFTC where the log is dry.

11-Dec-22
Found it ok condition. The container is a bit corroded but log dry. overall really cool adventure. TFTC!

We've visited Kingscliff before, as my Wife's grandparents used to live here, but rarely cached here. We drove the AL as we were pretty low on time, and enjoyed our trip down the main street. One answer stumped us for a bit, just leave out the hyphen! The cache found in line with the hint, no problems... TFTC!

28-Sep-22
Found this afternoon while out doing some caches in the area, ended up getting 5 GC finds, 8 Adventure Lab Locations and also quite a few GCA caches (trigs and trads). Had a really nice time out caching along the Tweed Coast, Never really spent much time here and its a really nice spot!

Added an outer layer to this container. Hopefully this will protect it from the salt a little bit. Happy Caching.

Quick find after completing the lab. Not many people around at all.
Lid is broken and log bag is quite ripped but log is dry.

Third time’s a charm on this one. Was nearby visiting the break wall so thought I would have a third crack. Last two visits have been very busy - less so today. Realised that I had been looking in the wrong spot and happened to approach from the right angle.
Cache is not living the salt air but log all good. Glad to get this one finally sorted.

On holidays at Coolangatta so had to head down to our favourite breakfast cafe as we have missed it during all the border closures from Covid. A stroll was in order after filling our tummies & this ad lab was the perfect excuse. A beautiful warm winters day with some lovely scenery & history thrown in as well. We soon had some numbers for the bonus but there were a couple of ladies having a great natter exactly where we wanted to be so left the boys to chill & wait them out while the girls checked out the shops - winning! We returned just in time to see the cache being replaced.
Thanks for the great ad lab & bonus leaffairy12

I haven’t been back to Kingscliff for more than 40 years. We used to holiday there when I was really young and back then there was the bowls club, the beach and tumbleweeds floating passed. Recently someone at work told me it was a happening place, but in my mind it was still a little sleepy seaside village.

On the drive in, the 40 year old apartments were still there, although much more dated than I remember. The bowls club where we started still looked like an old krone’s scarf, but I could see action down the street.

Our first stop was the pottery cafe for a beverage and I could see all sorts of fun ahead of us. We followed the AL and I promised Mrs Woodyrothwell that we would walk back by all the shops on the return leg.

I saw cafe after cafe and knew that I had to come back for a night away. We waited for an elderly couple looking out at the beach before we went in to make the find. Off to look at the restaurants and cafes to get the fluids running.

We enjoyed our visit to much that we booked a place for a weekend away. Somehow the dirty weekend turned into a long weekend with the kids. WTF? We will be back soon to enjoy the area again. tftc

02-Jun-22
We have now set up camp at Chinderah caravan park for a few days. From here we will do caching on the southern side of the Gold Coast
Today we stayed close to camp & headed to Kingscliffe to do the AL & then a couple of other caches closer to where we are staying.
It was Anzac day last year the last time we visited this area. Questions were all easily understood.
A nice drive along the foreshore.
Thankyou leaffairy12 for placing this cache.

Enjoying a short stay in lovely Kingscliffe, first attempt was thwarted by a lived up couple occupying the seats, second attempt was after dinner at the pub and much quicker than our dinner service.

Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting & detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC leaffairy12

Having given up waiting for it to stop raining, I decided to go out and get wet. At least there are very few muggles to dodge when it is this nasty out. The beaches were magnificent with the waves crashing and roaring. No troubles with the AL - walking past the cakes in the shop twice was a problem.

Picked up the final on the way back to the car and stopped to have a lovely coffee and cake.

06-May-22
This was a fun stop. We have always wanted to come and have a look at Kingscliff and with beaches, coffee and gelato we will surely return. TFTC

Wandered here, drove there, found a park, double parked, was all part of the fun earning what was needed to come and locate this Adventure Lab Bonus today. There didn’t appear to be any struggling businesses today through Kingscliff. It was busy as. Glad we thought to work out details before moving from the last of the Lab trail. We walked to where we were directed and found the cache hidden in the 3rd spot we checked. Noice! We enjoyed seeing the bustling Kingscliff waterfront. Thanks for enabling us to appreciate and learn some of the history. Favourite point for the Adventure!

We were finally leaving Queensland and heading south! We have enjoyed being in Queensland and will be back later in the year. Heading south, we are trying to hit as many LGAs as we possibly can. We had been driving for a while decided that we needed to give the geodogs Mini Michi, Teeny Treek and Gypsy Girl a stretch of the legs. They had had a run on the beach and needed to dry off before heading off. The Adventure lab was a great way of doing this, and we enjoyed the wander along the foreshore of Kingscliffe. We did need to wait for a muggle to leave before we could retrieve this Bonus cache, which is in excellent condition. Thank you for the Adventure Lab and the Bonus Cache leaffairy12.

When I first enlisted, the Watch comprised four divisions: Day Watch, Night Watch, (the Patrician's) Palace Guards, and the secret police Cable Street Particulars. Cable Street Particulars were housed in Cable Street, Palace Guards worked at the palace; Day Watch and Night Watch shared the same police stations, using hour-of-daylight instead of geographic districts to delineate their jurisdictions.

It’s a busy day in Kingscliff today (probably every Sunday). Thanks for the cache and adventure lab

After attending a Event earlier in the morning at Tweed Heads, Selva Girls and I decided to do some Lab Caches. After completing the Lab Cache, A Little Bit of Kingscliff History, it was off to find the AL Bonus Cache. Arrived at GZ and luckily no one was close by. Found cache and signed log. Giving a FP for your Lab Cache and Bonus Cache.

19-Dec-21
After an event this morning, Richmond Lad and I headed off to complete some adventure labs. We had stopped for lunch at Kingscliff. After lunch, we went for a walk and did this adventure lab. We were lucky at the bonus cache as no one was there. We signed the log and returned the cache as found. As we wandered off, some muggles made their way to GZ. I think this spot can be quite busy. 14-Dec-21
Our annual holiday trip to the Mexican state of New South Wales to catch up with outlaws and other family members. I like it because it is a chance to get in some caching for a few hours a day. A drive back to Murwillumbah today to pick up a bike from the repair shop. Great opportunity to finish off my caching from yesterday. I started in Stockers Siding and continued into Murwillumbah. Then over to Kingscliff for an adventure lab or two before heading back home. So many caches in out of the way spots, I enjoyed each cache and got to avenge a few dnf’s from yesterday. Thanks to the CO’s for today’s little run.

What a nice adventure lab and one I enjoyed while learning a little of the area. With the new coordinates I was back to find my prize. there was no one around so I had a good amount of time looking around here, but it was not required as the find was made very quickly, though getting it out was the longest part of the trip, lol.
I signed the log and replaced as found and then moved onto the next on one on my list. Thanks for the hide and the adventure lab all good with this one.

09-Oct-21
After taking a drive to Murwillumbah and Pottsville we decided to drive past GZ to see if the area was free of muggles - and to our surprise it was! After a short search Team Biffo called out found it!
We had completed your adventure lab when it first came out but GZ was muggle central and was the other few times I drove past in the last few months.
Thanks for the AL and bonus cache and a FP given.

Checked on the cache today after a few DNF. Shes still there in her hidey hole. Just where I left her. Did have to wait for muggles to disperse before I could do the check. Happy geocaching.

11-Jul-21
No find here today. too many Muggles. After parking at the Bowls club we walked the route only to find a bunch of muggles waiting for us at GZ. We took a walk along the beach back to Tango Gelato for some Liquorice Icecream of course and then back to the car for a cruise back to GZ. Got there and there was a different muggle insitu so we tried to humbug him so he would move on but nope he was more interested in what we were doing. We had a look knee high in the obvious places, and where others had looked, but nothing to be seen. We will be back. Thanks Leaffairy for the AL I am glad you enjoyed the Mudgeeraba one we did so much that you made one of your own.
