That is a amazing little hide on the side of the road well recommended when you're in the area to get this one done

I have taken a photo of one of the cache guardians as there was two when i first got here.
I am currently on a road trip from Victoria enjoying Queensland in the days before a family event.
I am driving around getting new local government areas to fill my map and make it worth while in a geocaching way
I want to say thanks to the CO for the placement of the hide.

We almost missed the turnoff for this one as I was too busy reading the interesting cache description to WallabyTim and not looking as the map. Turning navigation on might be a good idea! Got a fright from the cache guardian here and once the heart flutters stopped I was able to admire its beauty. TFTC Smile

We were in Bell yesterday and met the CO and completed a small run on the hides here. Did some puzzle solving last night. Left Dalby real early this morning after Breakfast at about 0630 and this was the first one of the day. Parked safe off road and spied the host immediately and to our surprise a little mascot. Qujick find and all good here. TFTC Speedmistress.

A lovely find on our way into Bell. Mrs STW was lagging behind reading the cache details as she walked, and was amused to see that Mr STW had already explored the cache hiding spot and determined it to be "some sort of research or data collection station". After Mrs STW suggested further exploration, the lovely cache container was found and admired.

We love an audacious hide and this certainly fit the bill. Complete with 2 resident geckoes when we found it.
A favourite from us.

Yesterday's caching finished up because of coming showers, and after all the rain overnight we thought that might be it. But after lunch the rain stopped and although it was dark and overcast the wind came up and dried things out a bit. It was still quite wet underfoot and in places muddy so out we went with an open mind as to what we might find and be able to do.
In the end we got most left and broke it up with coffee and a scone at the cafe in town. Car and us both a bit muddy, but a successful afternoon, made all the better by well maintained and creative caches.

Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Speedmistress.

TFTC. We had overnighted in Wooroolin and now making our way toward Charleville. The GPS suggest we make the turn toward Jimbour. We pulled up about 200 meters from the corner. Checked the phone and discovered a cache close by. Walked back and make an easy find. It was a good excuse to stretch the legs a bit.

Parked on the side road and scooted over here. Not sure why, but this cache hidden IPS made me smile Logged and on the way.

Recharged with coffee and cake after a nice 7.5 km walk around town and up over the hill it was time to hit the road and see where the back roads would take me.

Pulled off into a closed off road section and then went to grab the cache. On returning to the car I spied a dangerous object a star picket only 4-6 inches out of the ground. This could have easily caused a blow out for a car tyre - so do take care where you drive. Cool

Day 4 and we're still here doing a few more caches around the place. Slightly curtailed activity today, as its rained on and off most of the night. Sticking to the bitumen, but mud builds up on ones boots pretty damn quick. Previously solved puzzle here to log. We walked straight past it 'cos our GPS said go to the school marker sign. Anyway, all okay here so thanks for our ongoing expedition Speedmistress.

We are currently house sitting at Bell, with so many caches placed in this area how could we not go and find a few. All the caches we found are in good condition thanks to the CO's viglience with their maintenance. As per usual we have used geocaching as a tourist guide to the area. SL TFTC

Why are we staying in Bell[?] Oh because there are lots and lots of geocaches including puzzles that we solved ourselves! Yes Ourselves! Sadly this morning it was freezing so a late start then home for soup for lunch before heading back out hunting. Did I mention it didnt get over 10degrees until after 3pm!

Find #5996

Having travelled through western NSW, the meander through south western QLD has begun. No fixed route, just wherever the mood (okay, and I'll be honest, the caches ) guide me

All caches are in good condition unless otherwise noted

Thanks so much Speedmistress for putting out and maintaining this cache and for making taking me to new places to discover enjoy.

Heading home from the Wangaratta Mega and stopped in Bell for a couple of days. Day two and our final day caching in Bell. Not a bad grab yesterday. We planned to ride around on our bikes to grab those within the town limits, but the wind was coming up and might be a struggle to get around, so we opted for the car.

Got to be a hot day in the end, so it was great in the car's AC. A couple of DNFs for the day, not sure where we were going wrong.

Fav point

Thanks Speedmistress for the caches.

On our way to Bell after visiting Jimbour Station where we did the garden tour. It was very nice but hot, had to duck between patches of shade to keep cool. Interesting history of the station's owners, residents and visitors including the explorer William Landsborough and botanical artist Marianne North and Leonard Darwin (Charles' son).
We stopped near the intersection here and looked around, then wandered over to something and discovered the cache. This must be the biggest cache we've found in plain sight. Very clever. Too obvious to expect that it could be it at first but then it was!

Finally arrived in Bell, had morning tea and all geared up for an overnight stay.
Love this countryside and it is very rewarding visiting towns/places for the very first time.
All finds in and around Bell were fantastic, found relatively quickly and to save room on the logs we signed as Something Catchy/Team DES (domsky, E_Smiley & Snickersallan)
Apologies CO for the generic logs, your caches are a real credit to you.

Jimbour/Jimba… I have played concerts here at this property over the years. As always, when one is working, the location is not really noticed. Only today did we finally have a perspective on where the property actually is.
Very happy to visit again.

Today was our third day of geocaching in and around Bell. We had a great time exploring the back roads and discovering a little of the history of this region. We did a variety of traditional, puzzle and earthcaches, all of which had very accurate coordinates and an interesting assortment of container types.
Thanks to all the COs that have placed and maintained these caches for us to enjoy.

Arrived a day early for the event at Bell so I went exploring the local area and find some geocache as well all the geocaches in the area were easy finds and this one was no exception. This was my last find for the day because while at the GZ I was instructed to return to Bell for a Coffee wih Speedmistress and Sweet andvSour. BTW I think he is more sour the sweet but don't tell him that. Anyway we all spent the next hour or so swapping geocache yarns. Before Speedmistress kicked us out. All up I had a veary nice day.

A big day planned for today, heading north east to Bell to round up some smilies.
We are targeting about 60 or so over the next two days but we're flexible ... up & down! Smile
A 3 hour drive then into it!
We managed 46 today before running out of daylight. Sad

The compass initially led me towards the trees but then something caught my eye.
BINGO!
Enough said, quick find, good sized cache.
Flushed a coucal (google it Smile) as we were leaving.
A happy family of apostlebirds decided to throw in their raucous chorus at our departure & a tiny finch just missed kamikaziing our front grill.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Monday. Woohoo! Spotted this cache toot-sweet and went in for the grab. Huge cache which I thought a geocacher would recognise instantly. Popped our names in the log and headed off – the day was heating up quickly after a freezing morning.

This was the 26th of 49 caches found on this outing.

Thanks ***Speedmistress*** for showing us this place Razz

Out on a massive day trip with Slow Puncture, leaving Brissie in the wee hours and heading up the range to Toowoomba, across the plains and out to Bell, returning via Yarraman. We're picking up our list of solved puzzles and any other interesting caches we pass by.

Clever hide. SP found this one while I was busy looking in the trees.
