Find number 14420 at 3:44:51pm on Tuesday the 8 October 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leisurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back.Well, WA Goes Big is done for another year and we are on our way home again now, via Perth, Kalgoorlie and the Nullarbor but slowly over the next five weeks Today we have been busy doing the Tin Horse Highway, grabbing as many caches as we can and also photographing all the horses, they are simply amazing!**Thanks for placing this cache burns345**---*WOW, so much happening at home in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.
Found by Mary and David at 11:30. Saw dead flowers on an orchid stem. Seems we're too late in the season for those. Our thanks to burns345.
Found at 9:50 AM GAFF3.Didn't take as long as #40, but it still wasn't a "walk-up-to-it" find. Getting better though Thanks to burns345
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 27 - Kulin Day. I spent a full in and around Kulin as there was so much more to see and do. In the morning I headed back East and finished of the Tin Horse trail in that direction, much easier being on the correct side of the road without the van. I then ventured back into town to do the Labs and have morning tea. As I had accidentally hit the day the Butler Museum was open, I had a great hour with a very informative guide looking over some of the equipment onsite, both restored and not. Don't mention the sheep trade.... After that I went to the Northwest to the second Tin Horse trail. Not as much art, but some still very impressive pieces and plenty of caches. The afternoon was spent catching up on online duties before heading back into town for dinner at the not a pub 'hub' in the old pub that is really a pub.Nearly every cache today was a simple roadside cache, near in celebration of a Tin horse artwork. The puzzles were all solved before heading west and some were really difficult, and I think there area a few I never got to. Thanks for the cache burns34546965.48 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & August 2022 Tools of the Trade A#493**Albida**
13:0 Ok. Heading home. ***I was due to have a day to myself without children, so of course I ignored all the school assessments what I needed to do. I woke up before the sunrise, bought a coffee, blueberry danish pastry and sushi box from local bakery and off I was. Today I headed south, picking up geocaching on the way to Corrigin and from there to Kulin. It was beautiful autumn day to spend geocaching. Left home before 7. 7:29 The first geocaching stop - Tank Alley - Solar13:24 The last geocaching stop - Kulin # 36 Tin Horse Highway No 2 Back home 15 o'clock. Most of the caches was easy to find. Found 47 caches.
We stayed the night in Kulin and as we head out of town decided to grab these caches I had solved. We stopped at the crossroads and parked the caravan and got out the bikes. Spoke to a friendly local before heading off on the bikes to collect. The a quick play on the guitar before heading off. The tin horse highway has been great. All caches were found in good order. Thanks for putting this puzzle caches together.

Found on a solo trip to the west from SA.
I last visited and cached in this area around three years ago, but there have been plenty of new caches of interest to me since then, so I thought a return visit was in order.
The weather has not been great with some severe cold fronts, rain and winds up to 90 kph over 3 consecutive days - apparently a ’once in a year’ event. Camping has been interesting and the fuel economy pushing into those westerlies for more than 1,500 Km has been a bit of a disaster. But the storms have eased and hopefully it will be a little more ‘normal’ from now on.
There is also quite a bit more water laying around and the ground is much wetter than when I was last here. That has caused a few inconvenient road closures, necessitating changes in plans, and restricted access to some of the caches I was keen to get to. Such is life!
I camped near Kulin last night and completed both the Tin Horse Highway series’ this morning. All the caches were found in reasonable condition, although some of them had a bit of water inside and the logbooks were wet but still serviceable.
Good coordinates and hints helped with quick finds.
Thanks burns345 for the puzzle and the cache.

Thanks burns345 for you effort here.
TaurusSix and I have decided to make an early start on Easter and tack an extra day onto the Easter Break so we could spend more time exploring inland regional WA. The original intention this Thursday was to take our time meandering from Bunbury to Hyden and onto Wave Rock and of course geocaching along the way. However when we realised there was a FTF to be had in Narrogin we decided to head straight there first thing this morning. When we reached Williams we did a refresh of the app and noted it was still unfound fingers crossed we would make it in time and very happy to report that we did which continues our FTF monthly streak.
Now after that excitement of the early morning we can continue our meandering from Narrogin to Hayden geocaching along the way.
This is our twenty seventh cache find of the day. We solved the puzzles for the Tin Horse Hwy series a few months ago now. With the intention of coming out this way. Given our timing today though we are only focusing on a portion of them today and then we will come back for the rest another day . Great series. TFTC

On a road trip around the wheatbelt areas of Western Australia for a few weeks. Re-visiting beautiful Kulin. We were here almost a year ago completing the THH. It’s always a friendly little town and a great caravan park. Spent a few days here finding all the many new caches that were placed in the last year. Thought we would need a week, but we managed them all in two days. Thanks to all the CO’s for placing the many varied cache containers and for all the puzzles to solve. We really enjoyed all the finds.
Solved these as a group on IGD day sitting in the local watering hole but since we had a stressful effort to make it to Kulin on time (we broke down 150km north of Newman and was stranded there for a few days, then had car problem when we got to Moneybox's house) we only did a few finds around town and the AdLab, we needed to leave time to visit the museum as normally it is closed when we are here.
We always love a visit to Kulin so don't mind if we have to come back numerous times. Such a relaxing place and once again it didn't disappoint.
All caches weren't too hard to find. TFTC

I’ve set myself the goal of getting to 1000 finds for the calendar year and with the kids still in school for a day I hatched a plan with SirFancy to head out to Kulin and clean up all the caches released over the IGD weekend a few months back.
We grabbed a few caches along the way in Wandering, Cuballing and Wickepin before arriving in Kulin for lunch.
After a short break we grabbed all the THH#2 caches and finished up ducking down to Dudinin.
Day one finishing up with 64 finds and 0 DNF’s.

Myself and Cirrus_WA decide to head out to kulin for two days of caching. We started with collecting some in Wandering, Cuballing and Wickepin. Next we got some caches we missed from when we were out here for IGD, we picked up a few caches and managed to finish the Tin Horse Hwy.
Tomorrow we are heading out early while it’s nice and cool for the IGD series, have breakfast and then plan the trip home seeing what caches and LGA’s are on the way.
This is my 1082 find.
Thank you burns345 for placing and maintaining this cache.

Hi there burns345. I went out with Lien (Lucky1268) today and while out we found this cache at about 04.07 pm after a short search - the container and log are in good condition. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to burns345 for this cache - our find 9470 and the 28th of 36 finds for the day. FieldNotes:
Finally doing some more logging. Sorry for the delay. Who knew that finding the caches would be quicker than logging them! I didn’t keep notes so please ignore my generic logs. Thanks for this cache and the rest of the series.
P.S. I appreciated the numerical order to the finds….made it easier to track what was going on.

Met up with ullyssia at the IGD 2021 CITO event and teamed up for most of Saturday to find caches in and around Kulin. We started with the original Tin Horse Highway series East of town, then quickly solved the new THH puzzles and moved on to the solved locations and traditionals North of town - finishing them at dusk! All caches were quick finds and we came across many other teams enjoying a great IGD weekend in Kulin. On this section we also spotted some beautiful native orchids, perfect time of year to be here!
