Headed out today to get the final points for the Cosmic Quest challenge souvenir. Had a plan but that got tossed out the window with the wet weather, so it was on to plan B which was a bit drier. We tried for this cache once before but at the time it was missing. Seeing that it was back online again, albeit under a different name, we stopped off for a quick find. tftc#9833

28-Aug-24
Cache name updated for consistency for these caches across Marlborough.

13-Jul-24
Ha, more luck this time after my DNF last time. A quick one thanks. Cheers

#14,692. Been caching all around Blenheim over the past three days. This time I am picking up a few out to the southeast. Parked nearby and headed over to GZ. Saw some barbary doves in the trees near this cache. The cache itself was quickly spotted. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks Kiwimyki for hiding your cache here. There used to be a challenge cache in Auckland based around finding these "Welcome to town X" signs.

Heading south from the Picton ferry this afternoon with some time to spare so I decided to target some of the new roadside caches published in the last few months. A quick find here in the obvious place, all in good condition. Signed log, TFTC.

Today I'm back on the road, driving from Dunsandel to Blenheim to pick up some recently acquired musical gear. Finding a few caches along the way. This entrance to Blenheim has changed a bit over the years. I can remember finding another cache on another sign or structure nearby. This one is a good replacement though. TFTC, Biggles.

Cool camo, thanks

30-Jul-23
Nice cruise here, great spot

23-Jul-23
Quick stop on the way back from caching the Seddon area. Last cache for today. No problems finding in the dark. Thanks for the smiley

26-May-23
Out for a day of Blenheim caching in an attempt to grab the latest souvenir.
This sign seemed a trifle underwhelming. Maybe because of its environment because the one to the west of town, presumably the same size, seems to be “just right”.
A quick find between trucks passing by.

I was out and about with Kiwimykl this afternoon picking up caches that were smileys or stars on his map but greenies on mine, deliberately leaving those that were green on both our maps for a future challenge. This was my third find of the day and was a QEF PnG seeing he was the CO. I recall being given permission to log this after the FTF had gone as I was present when placed, but never got around to it which benefits me now.

Happy hunters

#22334. We were heading towards Blenheim, so had good parking. right next to GZ. Had to stretch a bit for this nicely hidden cache. TFTC.

22-Apr-23
I should have taken note of where the CO's car was parked in the photo as I parked in from of the sign and hadn't noticed the bigger than expected drop from the road to the roadside!
Lucky StreetWalkerNZ was with me as I could get a finger on the cache, but would have struggled to retrieve or replace. TFTC.

27-Mar-23
Kind of risk your life if you are heading south, this is a 100kmph road. Those big truck sure rock my bus.

Thanks, it’s nice to be here.

05-Feb-23
As we were heading ever so slowly home (it can take hours when there are geocaches to be found) we stopped to look for this one. I spotted it from the campervan as we drove past and decided it would be a perfect one for gk to get as he has more of the required attribute than I have.
It was nice to have an easy find to add to the numbers.
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley.

29-Jan-23
Up this way for some bridge but always time for a cache or two. This walk was close to our accommodation so after the early morning rain went off I set out for a walk and some caches. Thanks for placing kiwimykl. quick find and cache is good

Sorry kiwimykl. Not for us today. Used a step even to get the height but couldn’t see anything.

07-Dec-22
Cache check carried out after a couple of DNFs. Cache missing. Temporarily diabled until I can sort out a replacement.

29-Sep-22
No joy here despite a good search at the likely spot and then a try at some nearby spots.
If the hide is what I think it is I spotted the tell tale so checked around ground level of it had fallen but sadly nothing.

17-Jul-22
On the highway with everyone driving past! Easy find. Thanks for the cache

29-Jun-22
Quick find. TFTC

17-May-22
My task today was to go for a bike ride and replace a log book in one of my caches.
Whilst out I thought i'd have another look at this one. A few weeks back I had also biked past and took a look but I assumed my short stature stopped me from making the find.
I now know that it was most probably missing and has since been replaced. Its almost out of reach for me but with a wee stretch I did manage to grab and replace back where I found it.

I decided on a cache today, and this was the closest to work.
I had tried to get it about a week ago but couldn’t find so told the CO it was missing. Today I was armed with permission to fix and a replacement (no big deal, I have dozens of them) but it wasn’t needed - another local cacher did the job yesterday.
All there is to do is log it and replace it without looking too suspicious. Plenty of traffic around! Think I was mostly successful.
TFTC Kiwimykl. Another ticked off.

08-May-22
It's Mother's day and all Mrs B wanted was to be left alone. So, miss 10 and I popped out this way for a couple of rounds of mini golf. Disappointing to her, Dad won both games but she did get a hole in one on one hole. This was our (my) last of five finds on the drive home. We had a good look round for this one but couldn't spot it. I guessed where it probably was and dropped in a replacement. I guess the CO will let me know if I missed the original.

11-Feb-22
Our last cache for the day, so just as well it wasn't too high above head height.

23-Jan-22
Spotted this line of caches on the cycle trail from SH1 as I drove in yesterday. Out on a cyclocache ride this morning to convert them all into smilies. Rode up the grass from Classic Fighters for another easy find. TFTC Kiwimykl

16-Jan-22
Found on my way to catch the ferry to see mum in Auckland. I needed this one because of the date it was placed now that is another hole filled. Cache found in perfect condition ready for the next finder tftc

08-Jan-22
Easy find, been past here a dozen times and presumed we had this but got muddled up with the signs, but we got the smiley face now, thanks kiwimykl.

03-Jan-22
It's time to start climbing another peak and it is some time since we've been "over the hill" so Marlborough was our designated target.
This was a return visit here today, last time the cache was missing. Today it was spotted instantly from the car and before we could even move grandson was out of the car and handed us the cache.
Thank you Kiwimykl.

03-Jan-22
Today we start climbing yet another peak. A monopoly cache requirement, a new place to visit for Noah, some cache maintenance and enough new caches to find around Blenheim made it easy to decide for a trip over the hill.
Grandson leapt out of the car even before it came to a complete standstill. The cache had already been spotted and a frown turned into a smilie. Thank you Kiwimykl

10-Oct-21
Caching with Sidewaze. Apologies for the late log - working at catching up. I enjoyed finding your cache. TFTC

10-Oct-21
We had seen the previous loggers name on a few caches today - and the log for this one is similar. Mrs SoBad thought she could have reached the cache if she was solo but was pleased to be part of a group where someone was tall enough to have an easy retrieve. Again signed as LSS.
Thanks.

10-Oct-21
Enjoy these signs and the caches they host. Thanks Smile.

09-Oct-21
Not from Nelson and it was threatening to drizzle but this area is a great place to be. Cache beyond my orbit so thanks to Karma Reprint. Tftc

09-Oct-21
A nice quick find thanks. As with W.E.K.A.'s log the taller had to do the retreival after the shorter spotted it!

Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. We of course had to get there first, and today we cruised up, finging only a few caches, mostly from Ward onward, as we have been busy in previous years.

Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

30-Sep-21
A quick easy find of this cache which Mrs W.E.K.A. spotted as we arrived, but Mr W.E.K.A. retrieved as it was beyond her reach. TFTC

19-Sep-21
Very quick find here, I'm sorry Kiwimykl as a born and bred Nelsonian it's my duty to disagree with the sign Cool. Thanks for placing the cache

Quick find between cars on a Sunday bike ride. Lv 2 rules followed. TFTC

18-Sep-21
On my way to Wairau Lagoon nice and early today to finish up a few stragglers and saw COs note about replacement. As I had mistakenly 'found' this cache a few days ago then archived my error, I am unable to find again, so this note will have to suffice! Instant find, with all of an inch to spare, stretchwise! TFTC Kiwimykl Smile

16-Sep-21
After a couple of recent DNF's, I decided to do a cache check on this one. Sure enough, the cache has disappeared. Cache replaced and host modified to prevent wind blowing cache away.

All good to go again.

15-Sep-21
Surely only so many places/caches it could be! DNF.

FTF !
There were a few murmours in this vicinity recently, with news of some tree pruning of great vigor having upset the hide for one of the legacy caches here.
Surely somebody had plans to offer up a replacement.

This cache looks like it has been recycled from one or two other old hides, as it closely resembles a barrier cache hide, but also contains reference to a multi in the Tasman region.

I was at work nearby when this target became live on my radar screen, but given I had several hours to go and no chance of escaping the boss's watchful eye, I thought I would miss out on a FTF.

However, it's true what they say about the competetive condition of local FTFer's these days - it just isn't like it used to be. So a QEF on the way home.

Cheers Kiwimykl. Favourite for the FTF
