Found by caughtatwork on 16/11/2024 at 8:07:00 AMOur for a morning cache run before the hear of the day set it. A nice easy find after wanding through the buch, mainly along the tracks.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1
Rated: for Overall Experience
Visited on a mild and windy autumn day with Leo and The Bonehog. Acquired trackable and begun its journey
Last one on the way down the hill. Left unactivated 2008 Geocaching Australia geocoin. TFTC!
Next stop in the area and wow, what a GZ. Amazing to see this one close. Cache was spotted after a short search and the again, the log was soon signed. Thanks for another one Smax04....cache all good.
Last one before heading back to the car. You certainly could get lost in here with trails going everywhere. When I got to gz looked as though someone had hung donuts around the trees and had a few beers.. thought it may have muggled but it was sitting there in all its glory. Tftc
Found at 4:03 PM GAFF1.This cache of the series was the only one that we ended up finding as we managed to find a track that we could drive on and then to get around to the others meant that we were going to be really late for our 4.30 drinkies at 3UP's place where we are camped. So we had a nice tour of the bottom part of the Union Jack Reserve and managed to get our brand new Defender through without any dramas. Thanks to Smax04
Out in the PeuGEOt with littlecogs and walked the very wet, boggy and rutted lane.Cache was not where it should be. We signed the log and placed the cache where it looked like it should be.
This Geocache is very well hidden and in a great spot. The logbook is in decent condition and is great for young kids. A special thank you to Smax04 for this cache that is suitable for almost anyone.
Out today for the Mount Buninyong then the Union Jack Reserve caches. The plan is to start at the bottom and walk them all. Then the same for Union Jack. The sun is shining so not too bad a day. So as the sun thinks about going away for the day I made it to get these caches. This was the last one for the day, after that I was off to Home Sweet Home. All good here.
Thanks for the cache Smax04

actual perfect spot for a picnic.
gps sent us the wrong way (phones fault coordinates were fine) but in reward we found an echidna just chilling in a little log.
nice and easy, loved the walk topped with a nice little adventure:)

While on my way to the first event for the day, I made a slight detour through this area to see what it was like, this one was a drive by so I stopped and made the find, I will come back after the events for the others as I don’t have enough time now.
**Thanks to Smax04 for placing this cache.**

Unofficially my 1800 find. And last in this series in this lovely reserve. The tree were so nice that I decided to leave a cat travel bug. The walk in this reserve took me 2 hours to do all caches including multiple were found.. mediocre fitness needed.
In Ballarat today to do some cache maintenance and grab the very few caches yet to find here.
With the tracks dried out we decided to take the 4wd through and grab this cache.
Thanks Smax04 for the placement.

Took us ages and just as we were calling it, Mrs P spotted it. Hint. Check in and up.
After attending the Franklins Bridge Reserve CITO, I headed further south to grab a few more caches before returning home. Found this one after checking a couple of possible objects.
Thanks to Smax04 for the cache and for an enjoyable walk.

Out for a walk and a drive with Shumba7 around Union Jack reserve. Thanks for bringing us here for your cache.
TFTC enjoyed the walk around this reserved reading the signs, quiet and interesting, plus very hilly. Found with Algae
Found with LittleBoss2 on our little caching so towards Ballarat. Thanks Smax04
We have headed to Ballarat to attend doctor appointments and in our spare time head out to areas that we have not cached in to find the many geocaches that have popped up in the forest areas. Most of the roads were acceptable, some geocachers were on walking/bike riding section which hubby hiked on and I drove the car and would pick him up along the way. All geocaches were found and were in good condition. SL TFTC
Suscoe was in Ballarat catching up with family today.
A windy and mixed up day with sun, cloud and even some drizzle that tried so hard to fall but couldn't quite do it properly.
A good range of caches were found in some interesting locations.
Thanks to Smax04 for this walk in the reserve.
Finished to walk, a lovely start to the day.
Now back to the car.

Found myself in the area today, and felt the need for a wander, despite the blustery weather! With a few possible hiding places, logic kicked in and the cache was found.
Found on a nice hot morning walk.
We decided to explore this area before it got too hot to be comfortable this afternoon.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.

Did have to search a little bit. I am surprised at how popular this trail is. Thanks Smax04
Find #2631 for me. Found at 11:24am with my dog Bonnie. This was the last in the series to find and a very nice way to finish it. Both Bonnie and I thoroughly enjoyed the short circuit walk today and I was pleasantly surprised to get some brief glimpses of a nice view on the way to this one. When I was taking the happy selfie after making the find, I couldn't get Bonnie to look at the camera. Ah, right, another dog with its owner had distracted her of course! The Union Jack Trail appears to be quite a popular trail for dog walkers which is great to see! Thanks for bringing me here today Smax04 and thanks for the cache!
Enjoying a nice walk with AlexiKatty and decided to add this smile to my map

Found today by Family Perpetuallylost, looking for somewhere to go for a walk while the weather was good. Haven't been to this reserve for 5 years since I found the nearby Rule Britannia cache. Today we stuck to the track which made the walk a little easier. The Wild Things trail along here kept us amused too as well as enjoying all the wildflowers in bloom.
This one was a little trickier to find, especially while trying to search with a family out enjoying a bike ride also exploring the immediate vicinity. Once the GPS settled down Mrs P managed a sneaky find between watching eyes. Thx Smax04, look forward to possibly seeing more of your caches in this area. CIGC TNLNSL.

After attending a CITO down at Scotchmans Creek, Chook joined forces with micaparamedic to find the caches along the Union Jack Trail. Thank you Smax04 for the cache and for bringing us to this interesting area.
I attended the nearby CITO and afterwards Chook from chooknchunk and I had a leisurely stroll around the Short Loop track collecting the caches in the Union Jack Reserve.
Thank you Smax04 for the cache and brining us to this interesting historic location.
