A Leap Year Mega draws us to Adelaide. Today's our intrepid group is working from Murray Bridge, in particular the Oz Mega 2014 Signal Geo-art. We are using the Acronym 6 for QLD to sign the log sheets. We had solved all the puzzles before leaving Queensland. It was a pleasant drive through that countryside, and we were pleased to find all the caches on our list. Found in between completing Geo arts. And so happily I say that the logs were signed and caches replaced as found on this day, 7th March 2024. TFTC, Redrover 09.
Settling into another phase of our southern journey our travels taking us to geo art from 2014 of Signal. Now on way to toenCaching with and signing as 5 for QLD including RoddyC hatzofff Imbunda snickersallan grannysmith1947TFTCache Redrover 09

Found by Mary and David at 10:55. Thanks for bringing us here. Who knew that a waste water treatment plant could look so good. Quickly spotted a familiar container. Our thanks to Redrover 09.
Always wanted to call in and check this place out, thanks for the excuse to do so! Great cache!
A nice quick find on the way back from Adelaide.

Hitchhiking has been tricky today but I ended up in Murray Bridge for a quick find. 10 for 10 today as I've filled in two more LGAs.
With the river pretty much back to normal now, I’ve decided to to drive to Tailem Bend via the other side of the river and log what I can find along the way.
I’ve used the adjacent freeway exit a number times recently but can’t say that I’d noticed this structure. When I pulled up, my first thought was “where are the eggs”, but they were obscured by grass from my angle. The cache was quickly found, but does fit in well I must say.
Thanks for getting me to stop and admire what has been done here Redrover 09 - a favourite cache of the day.

Catching up on logs. Apologies for the late log.
Mother's Day caching ... after being too sick last year for our annual Mother's Day caching adventure, this year we have resumed our tradition.
This one has been on the to-do list for some time. Stopped by on our way home from visiting Mrs Gizmo's mum.

Another cache hunt on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
It is our last day in Murray Bridge and we have some chores to complete before we leave. Just enough time for a quick walk along the beautiful Lavender Trail and nip down to Tailem to pick up the new AdLabs.
We have enjoyed our time in SA, but it is time to slowly make our way back West again. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

Certainly an interesting artistic enhancement of an otherwise mundane pump station. Accurate coordinates the hint and a familiar object led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Redrover 09 for the cache.
Half a long weekend away to Murray Bridge, Anzac Day. This is the best dressed pumping station in town! Thanks for highlighting.

We are on our way to join up with a small group of cachers to do the On Your Bike Series, today is a stopover in Murray Bridge to visit with family and, of course, doing a small amount of caching.
Our appologies for the boiler plate logs but I have got so far behind with my logging this is the only way I can catch up.
We have had a great day and found all of the caches that we targeted, we did any running repairs that were needed and all caches were left in a good condition for the next visitor. SL TFTC

Leisurely drive back from Naracoorte oh how I love a long weekend.
Stopped for 6 finds on the way home (which included one stage of the new MB lab cache) and all found.
I wish I didn’t have to go back to work tomorrow….

Found during a day around the Murray Bridge area. Thanks for the cache Redrover 09!
Probably not a place we'd ever stop - unless there was a cache here .
Took some time to read the signs - that's a lot of tiles, and a lot of plants !

Full time nomads since 2014. Still tootling around the country trying to avoid Covid hotspots.
Back in SA for harvest work. Spending a few days in Murray Bridge today we headed out to the Show. Spent heaps and had a great time, heading back to the caravan and had to tackle a few caches.

Parked up and interesting spot here, cache was a nice and easy find
Today I headed to Monarto/Murray Bridge region for CP’s Two cents worth event, so decided to leave early in the morning to collect a chunk of caches in the area before the event then do a few after, unfortunately the rain changed my plans throughout the day as limited walking could be done. Still managed to get 54 finds for the day.
Thanks for the cache

A great day to find a cache (every day is a nice day for that!)
An even better day to team up with froghoppin, then Hevwalker and Scramping, for a few more caches.
Quite a few it turned out. This was one of them!
Impressive sculptures here and some interpretive stuff. And a cache!
Remember when the fun park and butterfly house was nearby. Wonder where all the butterflies went
Grateful thanks to Redrover 09 for hiding this cache on our SA geo map game board

Most Geocaches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about especially away from the city crowds,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Apologies for the generic log
On a fine Saturday I set out with Southern Cross Caching an Uni and Medusa for a day around Murray Bridge. There were a couple of new series published recently and it seemed like a good place for a day out.
We started at the Lonely Lookout Cache, and I think this is the third cache I've found in this location over the years. Then went on to Slow Mail, and a few others around Eastern Murray Bridge.
After an average coffee at OTR we started the Australian Mountain Peak series, with a short side hussle for some bush fishing and then to Sunnyside. Its been years since I found the other cache at Sunnyside, and glad to see its still there. As a kid we used to live nearby and my parents would go skiing and fishing here with friends. I also spent a lot of time hanging around footy ovals on Saturday afternoons while my dad umpired the local games.
Following on from the Mountain Peaks we ventured on to the SAR series. I was thinking South Australian Railways, but it turned out to be rivers. I am surprised that dry South Australia has so many rivers!.
Turning back towards Murray Bridge we caught up on some of the more recent Wandering Heroes, I have met and know a lot of the heroes, but some are still just names and I hope to meet you in future.
Then on to the Hairy Armpit Series, but I misread that and it seems its Happy Armpit Series. The former is funnier
Getting late in the afternoon we still had an hour or so of daylight, so started on the Oz Mega Signal series. This was interesting because I remember riding my bicycle along this stretch of road in the 1970's as a 9 year old participating in a cub camp. We had to ride from Murray Bridge to a farmhouse near where we spent the night in a shed in the farm that fronts number #66, then rode to Jervois Oval the following day. All roads being gravel and having skinny tyres it was a long and grueling ride for a 9 year old. And the night was freezing.
All caches were found except for one DNF, and on the last three caches the rainstorm had finally hit and we were drenched, and it was completely dark. Finding a cache by torch in the bush in the dark in a wind and rain storm, well it stopped being fun and we decided to leave the final cache for another day. Over 200 caches found and this helps with a challenge cache that I've found but not logged in Victoria.
Thanks Redrover 09 for placing and maintaining the cache

Found at 16:44 on what started out as a perfect caching day with Shonkylogic and Southern Cross Caching. Perfect right up to the last three or so, where it was getting dark, cold, windy and rainy. In the end, that defeated us, even though there was just one cache left in the plan.
We had lunch somehwere along the Karoonda Highway at a picnic table, sandwiches supplied by Southern Cross Caching, chilli sauce supplied by Shonkylogic. The mozzies were a bit troublesome, but nothing compared to SXC's encounter with a snake.
It was so good to get out on one of these runs. There were plenty of old caches which have been on the must-do list for years, but also some newies.
Thanks for the hides

This one was found on a big day out with shonkylogic and Unicycle. Our plan was to knock of the AMP mountain series along with the South Australian Rivers series, then head for the old 2014 Signal series. We almost achieved our goal of all three (after a few additions to the plan) which included a bush fishing expedition, a submarine hunt, quite a few wandering hero’s (including one up a tree) and several other caches here and there along the route but not far out of the way. We also found two down on the river bank at Sunnyside, which was one of several highlights for the day. We started around seven AM and finished after dark in pouring rain and a howling wind which put an end to our day as it was no longer fun, falling short of finishing the signal series but not before reaching a milestone of over 200 finds for each of us for the day. We only had one DNF for the day which was a great find to DNF ratio.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Cheers and Happy Hunting

Owl and JJ52 were back in the area for more caches. having finished their target series it was time for lunch and more caching. There were a few to clear out on this side of the river as they made their way to the Murray Bridge coffee spot and this one posed no problems. The artwork and the discussion with the SA Water guy was an added bonus.
Doctor Owl and I had come out here to complete the new SA Rivers series and after doing that we stopped in Tailem Bend for a late lunch then a ferry ride and a drive to this cache. [^]
Admired the artwork as we walked towards GZ and quickly found the cache and added our stamps.
On the way back to the car we had a chat with an SA Water guy who had been here spraying weeds we think.
Thanks for the cache Redrover 09.

Was recommended by a previous finder and certainly enjoyed the look. Lots of pics of the nearby area which was really impressive. TYFTC SLTNLN

Nice to see that some structures are given artistic "treatment". Thanks Redrover 09.
2nd to find at 1820, and missed Sylken by 15 minutes, was a nice night for caching when I saw this one come up so I threw geo pup in the car and off we went, found after 20 minutes of looking went past it a couple of times, while trying to maintain a bit of stealth, a lot of traffic was driving past and wandering around at night with a torch was a bit of a challenge. very nice hide a favourite for this one. loved it. I was checking my emails and got lucky when I saw this had just been published so we headed off in the hope of an FTF.
Geohubby found the cache at 17.45 and signed the empty log.
We have passed by this interesting building a few times during our stay and admired it’s beautiful artwork.
Many thanks for the cache Redrover 09….a favourite point for a first to find
