Replaced plastic container with smaller metal one. Same spot, reach up, no pen.
And got that one too. Thanks for the puzzles and placing and maintaining the caches for our enjoyment! TFTC
Found this one on the ground below the tether. Container is damaged, so I didn’t make any attempt to re attach. Log is in good condition. Outnabout for some solo caching while camping in town overnight. We’re taking the roundabout route to QOGM 2023 at Longreach. It’s always a great day for caching.
TFTC Cachedin NQ
For anyone making Geo plans, do yourself a favour and visit Australia’s only current Geotour at Ballarat while it lasts: https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
And for anyone that can travel to Longreach, Queensland, late September 2023, Google “QOGM” which is the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster. You’ll have at least 8 or 9 days of pure geocaching fun with around 200 like minded people attending a mix of events and access to over 200 geocaches placed by the QOGM team. It’s not a Mega, it’s better.

There's a movie related multi at the location of this codeword, which I've done , but now it was time for this one oh so far away. Once parked, it ended up being a quick find at 10:55.

Another puzzle, Dune and Dusted.. We would rather do a traditional cache .Seen, how we are staying in town, we thought we better do a few.
On our day out caching on Anzac Day we headed towards GZ. After a quick stop we located GZ we retrieved the cache. TFTC.
This puzzle was nice and easy to solve. After finding Serenity Now I decided to continue onto this one. Once at GZ I found the cache laying on the ground and it was full of water. Miraculously the sealer bag had managed to keep the log book dry. I stamped the log sheet and put it back into the sealer bag. I have placed the cache back on the tree beside the spot where It looks as though it used to hang. Hopefully it won't fill back up with water in this spot.
In the area with Selva Girls today as we head to Townsville and picked up caches along the way and this was one of them. Once at GZ the cache was soon in hand and once the log was signed all was returned as found.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy.

Very serene here this morning on my trip south to Clermont from Townsville with Crustyvarmint. Thanks for the break to stretch our legs.
An iconic and a classic Australian movie. We knew the answer to this straight away.
When we attended the mega in Wangaratta, we took a trip one day to the little town which is the namesake of this puzzle! There is an AL that takes you right to that place if serenity.
The serenity was beautiful as it was at GZ today.

Packed up camp and headed just a little further west, along with ilook4geo, for a couple of days to slowly work on the caches in and around Charters Towers. There were no problems in locating each one and both names were stamped on each log to record our visit. Thanks go to Cachedin NQ for placing this cache.
Time to move on again and continue the hunt with goingplaces2. Found all we looked for today, signed each log and replaced as found. TFTC.
After our week in Townsville for the mega we are heading out to Charters Towers for a few days before heading south for home!
Joined up with Hans and Linda and cached our way to CT via Ravenswood. Even with the temperature hanging around 36c we had a successful day with only one DNF.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides and showing many different places.

TFTC. Today we were leaving Townsville after a week enjoying the Mega and caching. We planned to head back to Maryborough via Charters Towers and Emerald. We joined up with Richmond Lad and JooJoo57 to cache our way to Charters Towers with a detour to Ravenswood. A successful day with 30 finds and one DNF.
Out and about on the road with Swearah and jodsta83.

We’d solved this puzzle pre-trip and finally headed to Charters Towers after the Townsville Mega, we were able to collect our smilie.
I spotted this cache from the car. Woot! I haven’t done that all trip.

Making our way to Charters Towers today from Townsville with swearah and stephyy and grabbing a few caches along the way. We had this one solved in record time being familiar with the reference. Once at GZ Swerah spotted this one from the car and made the retrieval. Tftc Cachedin NQ????
Almost not worth getting back in the car between the last cache and this one, but we did anyway, if only make the rturn trip quicker...
At GZ, another quick search and cache in hand for Ghostgums and I. GG did the logging honours while I returned to the car to set up for the next.

Found as part of the Qld Cache mega event weekend in Townsville over Easter 2022. Joined forces with Gunnie69 after flying up from Brisbane to tackle a variety of caches around the Townsville area including three GeoArt series, other puzzles and a few labs! I would like to thank all the cache owners who are making this an enjoyable weekend!
Today we trekked out along the Flinders Highway to the historical town of Charters Towers. Enjoyed some of the sights, old buildings, occasional wildlife and of course lunch at a local pub!

It’s Mega time once again!! Woo hoo!! Love these epic road trips. This time the plan is Canberra to Narromine to Cunnamulla to Blackall, a detour via Winton and then swinging back to Charters Towers before the main event in Townsville. Will see if the April rains and flooding detour us! Thanks to everyone who placed and maintained all these caches that enabled us to have a wonderful holiday! Thanks for the cache.
Having a great time making our way to the Townsville Mega with Team Crackers, Micaparamedic and Geoturtle37.
We have made it this far and have a couple of days up our sleeves so decided to set up camp for a couple of days and wash off some of the dust. It was an interesting sensation to not be rumbling along the road with the dust in our face, eyes . . . . .
Being from Victoria, we have actually been up to check out the serenity. Thankfully this didn't take as long as the last one.

Catching up with late logs.
Heading to the mega event in Townsville with micaparamedic, Geoturtle37 & Papi4506 we left Charters Towers this morning with a destination of Townsville picking up any cache that may appear on the map.
This would still have to be up there with one of our favourite movies which made solving this puzzle a dream. If only all puzzles were like this we would be happy people.
After being rewarded with a set of co-ords this cache was definitely on our to do list today as well.
After our cache blindness at the last cache we did this time we were hoping not to repeat the same thing and we were all looking with different eyes and happily the cache was found nice and quickly and our names have been added to the log.
To save room in the smaller logs we signed as "The Vics"
Thanks Cachedin NQ for the cache.

I do love spending time in Charters Towers. I have family connections and have visited many times over the years. I now know it is also a fabulous place to go caching. We stayed over night and managed to get a few hours of caching in today before heading to Townsville. We certainly found some very entertaining caches but left plenty for next time. Thanks for the fun day.
We (Team Tour de Ville - TMZ59, Patrol14, Peppa and I ) headed north to Townsville for the MEGA Event and explore the surrounding areas. Today it was the day to visit Charter's Towers and Ravenswood and pick up a few caches along the way. A lot of history in these towns. Cache found on the way back to Townsville, log signed before replacing as found. TFTC

Fifth day of our trip to Townsville for the MEGA and we (Peppa, TMZ59, Imbunda and I - TDV-TIPP) are on our way to Charters Towers for a drive.
Another quick find while on the road back to Townsville. SL then returned as found.

Another day in Townsville… another trip in the Habanero Sport… today though I’m at the wheel… watch out Townsville and surrounds!!!
With TMZ59 as co-pilot and Patrol14 and Imbunda in the back, we’re off to Charters Towers via Ravenswood for a bit of hysterical, sorry historical, learning…
Back in Brisbane, I created a list… everyone does… it wasn’t as long as others, but it would certainly keep us busy… if only we could stick to it…
We had every puzzle in Charters solved, 3 months in front of the computer was paying off, but…. With an event to attend in Townsville we had to leave and head back… so this was of only two mystery’s that we stopped for…
Tftc… signed Tour de Ville - TIPP

#13906 - 9:47:00 AM; Day eight of the Townsville Mega adventure with Sol de lune. Made it through to Townsville last night and headed out to Charters Towers to try our hand at the variety of cache types in the area today. Managed 30 finds for the day on the way to and from and around the town in Charters Towers, with one DNF. Cache types we found included Adventure Labs, Letterbox Hybrids, Trads, Multis, Unknown (Puzzle), Wherigos, a virtual and an earthcache. All caches were found in good order unless noted in the log and where required each has been signed L.L10n & Sdl or vice versa. Apologies for the largely generic logs [:o)] TFTC Cachedin NQ
Day 8 of the road trip to Townsville to with LuckyL10n and today it was a drive from Townsville out to Charters Towers.
A quieter day than others on the trip, but that was due to the different types. Puzzles, WIG's and Multi's were the order of the day. A couple of trads of course as went right past them....and we couldn't leave them could we?
Left CT around 2.30 and head for Cardwell to help fill in a few counties up towards Carins and the Tablelands. All up, another great day.
Thanks to all the CO's for the caches....they all help to make the trip a good time.

While in Townsville for a week we Team de Ville (Peppa, patrol14, Imbunda, and I) decided to head out to Charters Towers via Ravenswood and claim a few caches. The history of the area is just amazing. Thank you for the cache.
I had decided that today would be a trip to Charters Towers to collect a few types for the day, dragged my mum out and put the invite out to chamad as well which he accepted. With no real plans we found ourselves collecting everything on our way leaving a swathe of smiles behind us.

Like all geocachers, I’m taking the scenic, slow route to Townsville. Along the way we detoured for, amongst many others, this geocache.
Having solved a lot of puzzles prior to the trip, we tried to find as many as we could.
Thanks for placing the cache Cachedin NQ, without hiders the game wouldn’t exist.

I was invited on an early morning drive with Sheridan (from Jacs Team) and Vic (from Waz and Vic) for some caches in the Charters Towers area. We had no set plans, just a few on a wish list and a few we both had solved. It was again another fun day with these two ladies. I like caching with these two, the simplicity in our caching day, the stories, the banter and the laughs were just all day; nothing is a problem, thank you.
We collected some nice caches and a very different adventure lab on the way in from Townsville, we even left a fun little multi for our return home. The day saw us collecting a whereigo, some trads, a couple of old caches, some nice D/T caches. There was a virtual and a couple of puzzles, some more adventure labs, a bite to eat and a stop off to collect some Shinny little disc thingies. An absolute great day. All logs were signed with the three names and all caches replaced as found.
Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 4. Townsville Mega section Day 4. The drive continued from Emerald to Townsville, via Clermont and Charters towers. There is a long stretch of nothing in there, and I had no caches to do till Charters towers. Here I did labs and where-i-gos. I even managed to meet a few fellow traveling cachers before moving on to my lodging in Townsville, time for a swim after setting up !

Found as I made my way up to the Townsville Mega from Adelaide.
I camped last night near Charters Towers, then finished doing the caches around the town that were of interest to me this morning before heading east.
It had been another warm and humid day, but fortunately the only caches requiring any sort of a walk were completed this morning before it got too unpleasant.
All of the caches, including this one were found without difficulty and were in good condition.

It’s a fair way from Bonnie Doon, but as it’s in lockdown currently this is a far better spot to look for a cache. A great film, and a nice puzzle to fit in with the theme. Straight forward find.
Our first full day in Charters Towers, and we decided to head out reasonably early as it is forecast to be quite warm. We targeted a variety of cache types including Adventure Lab, puzzle, traditional multi and Wherigo. All successful with no DNFs. Even managed to pick up one we think we looked for but could not find last time we were here.
What a lovely old town Charters Towers is. We particularly like seeing the range of old buildings on offer.
Thank you to the local COs for developing and maintaining the caches for us to find. It is much appreciated.
