WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 70 - Goomalling Day. The day was a little overcast, but it has been a very cold night. Not freezing, but cold enough. I was joined by Sacada and Aqulus1 today as we did a trail south to Northam. We did some Labs in Northam and a few caches which were along the way or near th labs. Lunch was at one of the Northam bakeries before getting back in the car to head back to Goomalling via the second half of the cache trail. A great day with friends normally on the other side of the country. The evening turned wet and I stayed inside to cook dinner. The trail went very smoothly and only a very few required more than one pair of eyes to find. Nice to see there has been some maintenance recently as well. Thanks for the cache geotrakka48304.56 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Nameplate A#124**Albida**

Enjoying some long weekend caching in the Wheatbelt, with the main aim today to finish off this series. I had picked up the AD section during the Maker event trip last year and today I visited the rest I wasn't able to search for one of them due to muggles but otherwise very happy to say the GG hides are all in good condition and they were all easily located. A great series with some wonderful memories shared. Thank you for setting these up. Would love to favourite them all but I don't have enough so have sprinkled some throughout A nice quick find here - TFTC
Out for the day with BJA3 cleaning up the map with some hides we should have got a long time ago.The cache and log are in good condition with no issues. Thanks for placing and maintaining this hide for us and others to enjoy finding!

Hi there geotrakka. While out on the road today we found this cache at 1139am after a short search - and the container and log are in good condition. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to geotrakka for this cache - our find 10605 and the 13th of 61 finds for the day.FieldNotes: The cache and log were both found in good condition. The owner of this cache deserves a FavPt for the work put into it, but I can't give him/her one, so I'll give it to the cache instead.
Out and about for the GG series, I teamed up with Burns345. What wonderful memories and to introduce us all to GGs life.
Cache was found and logged.
Cheers Geotrakka

We love our Grannies. Mine would be 100 too (Julie here). Loved the Penguin bird bloke hiding in there. Heres to more adventures with our older generation.
This would have to be my favorite series. I was super close to my Nan who was also born July 1921. Nan didn't make it to 100, she left us a few years go, but i still miss her every day. Each cache brought back so many memories. Thank you geotrakka
All caches we found were easy to find. some we missed as there were cars following too close to pull over. thank you for the series TFTC

*Thank you geotrakka for putting this cache series out for us to visit! *
Fun trail - we visited them all today.
Most found easily and were well maintained, some took a bit of searching, not helped by a lot of them not being visited for over 6 months!

Staying in Cunderdin but headed into Northam with iluvtrekking to do some more of the rural/back roads caching both teams prefer. Loved this series, brought back memories of my own fantastic nana. Majority of co-ords were spot on and great hints made for quick finds. Thanks Geotrakka for a great day out.
What a beautiful Granny you have; I feel as though I know her. I'm sure that her sense of fun, laughter and love has held her and her family in good stead.
The handy parking spots along the way, the great hints and accurate coordinates were much appreciated.
Well done geotrakka, an excellent series.

I wasn’t planning on coming to Toodyay today but the allure of a certain multi got me here. After a Toodyay Bakery pie, I started finding the excellent Geotrakka series, where I got one road done.

Found it. TFTC geotrakker. Made an early start and came up to here for this "GG" series. Today was an excellent day for Cacheing, The weather is about to turn for the worst tomorrow. Quick find here and replaced as found.
Followed photoplay around this series. I had already planned a day in Northam today and the publication of this series meant some original caches were crossed off the list to make time. Thanks for the series.
**FTF Signed as Blasted. Great time working as a team to get these had a great time with B12, C10, frata, kimmorley and L1.77.
A group of us set out to complete the T5 Blasted Rock today and get a few others in the area. This series came up and we car pooled with Fratra, B12, C10, Lachlan1.77 and Spark22 to complete them. (Signed log as BLASTED) Glad to say that we were joint *FTF* on most of them. Managed to find all the caches thanks to excellent coords, hints and descriptions.

Headed out to Clackline to attack the Blasted Rock geocache, after Team Red Roo came through with the goods - bringing the harnesses and rope. The team at Blasted Rock comprised of Team Red Roo, B12, C10, Geotrakka, Spark22, fratra, Granett, kimmorley and neva2old. This was my first time doing abseiling, which was a terrific experience. Afterwards we headed into Northam, grabbing caches along the way, before a new series was published. We then headed to the Northam Coles and merged cars before hitting the newly published caches; and came up with 44 first to finds. We then hit the pub for a great lunch, before working back to Perth grabbing some high terrain caches. All in all a fantastic day! Thanks to all the cachers that made this day fantastic!
*FTF* with B12, C10, fratra, kimmorley and Spark22. After the series was complete, we toasted to GG, who sounded very familiar to a certain CO! Onya GG! Thank you for the excellent series geotrakka, all the coordinates were spot on, the finds were easy, roads quiet and decent distance between caches.

**FTF** with the Blasted crew who completed the nearby cache, blasted rock.
We headed out today with the goal of finding the T5 abseiling cache near Clackline, blasted rock.
We had found that and ventured into Northam when the notifications went mad and a huge trail of 50 caches was published on the countryside near Northam.
A great day out and congrats on a great series - good hides, appropriate hints, excellent co ordinates and some good scenery with nice places to pull off - what more could you want!
