Such a fun cache! Not as easy as it looks from the pics but doable...don't be expecting to find the container itself! Left a couple of US quarters for the next couple of finders! Log is pretty full. Giving a fave as it was for me!
With a D1T5 CITO on in Canberra I decided that today I would do a day trip over. Johno, why didnt you just stay a little longer over there after the Geobash? Because I had things to do at home and wanted some time with my [muggle] family and friends during my annual leave. So I made my way over there and after having breakfast, I headed off to go Geocaching. Due to the bad weather, I decided it was going to be a great day to find those caches within high muggle areas. It was a great idea because there wasnt any muggles around. Yes, I got very wet throughout the morning and once it was about 1pm I started to dry off, because the rain stopped. I then found a couple of more caches before heading to the CITO. Once at the CITO, it was great fun cleaning up the pond and catching up with everyone. I then headed off to get dinner and afterwards headed home. TB visit. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTE & TFTCs! Given I was a little early for the CITO, I decided on finding a couple of the caches around Fern Hill. This was one of those finds. For this one I did some sketchy parking about 50m from GZ. After a short walk, I found myself at GZ. Soon the cache was found and signed. Now off to the next one.
Out and about again, headed around Canberra for the MEGA. 29/3/2024 Find #6934My first ever trip to Canberra and I am down here for the Mega with KBreeAHH and Captain Terror. Big Matt collected us for todays tour to kick start our time in Canberra. We had said our farewells to Big Matt for the day, with plans to catch up again on Sunday for a hike. The day was fast coming to an end and we were staying nearby so decided to head out for a little walk up here. Wed found the trig point cache, sans trig point, and walked back to this one, aware of the muggles nearby at the playground. Cache was quickly found. Thanks for the cache TheGeoHorseman.
Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. All logs have been signed as WAC to save space, abbreviation for Western Australia Crew. Cheers TheGeoHorseman! Join us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!
The Cockburn Crew are on tour at the Capital Geobash in Canberra - travelling from Perth to Sydney, Canberra, Sydney and finally back to Perth.Today was day 2 and we had an absolute blast. After being up late last night we backed it up again this morning with an early start to make the most of the cooler weather and lack of muggles in the morning cold. We completed a huge number of trails, challenges, whereigos, traditional, multis, earthcaches, labs, virtuals and puzzles. It really was a great day for variety. We enjoyed the large number of virtuals, and caching in territory we havent been before. Weve filled our boots with some of the oldest caches in Australia, some rare DTs and DTTs and generally had a great time. Thanks to the COs for a great day and event. Logs signed as part of team WAC (WA Crew)
Day 6 of my Canberra Mega adventure. Out caching with the members of the WAC crew. The day looks to be another sunny day, so a great day for geocaching . Very happy to claim a smiley here . WAC members- Barnzy12, Lachie1.17, legs5 and Neva2old Some logs signed as N2O or WACThis is my 12923 find Thankyou TheGeoHorsemanfor placing and maintaining this cache.
Good to see so many new caches on the way. It has been a while since I have been to Canberra. Took my time to get there today, enjoying the great weather and looking forward to see everyone at the event later this week.TFTC Wilbert67
#7410Day 3/4 of our Australia Day caching weekend. Canberra -> Canberra Today is our first full day of caching in Canberra, and when I say there is plenty to keep us busy, I mean it! Were doing a day trying to qualify for a challenge near home, along with approaching our 4th and 5th DT loop.Found after a little search, all in good condition. TNLN SLTFTC TheGeoHorseman
#7410 Our Australia Day long weekend caching road trip continues. Today we will concentrate on Canberra, chasing high DTs and various challenge requirements.Today were also going for a challenge close to home, 25 unique DT squares in a day- if we cant do it in Canberra it isnt possible I think! Thanks for the cache!
We found this cache on the 30th of December 2023There were some mocking galahs but we persisted and found our first cach
Found it! This was a cool find. I just came from #2 at the trig point and I suspect it would be fun to bike down the hill for this series of caches. Also, the log is getting a bit fullThanks!
I had met up with friends at a cafe nearby, and afterwards I headed this way to try for this cache. Approaching GZ there was a person in the park, busily talking on their phone. I arrived at GZ and started my search. Soon I looked in the correct place and spotted the hide. Log signed and all replaced and I headed back to the car. TFTC.
Cache 9812 on 19 Feb 2023.
After the event today at the lake, I grabbed a couple of additional trads on my way home. This was a easy find in the geocacher approved container! Container and log in good condition.
Thanks TheGeoHorseman for the cache and the fun!

Had a reasonable look around what seemed like the obvious spot based on the hint and then a wider look around. Couldnt find anything. If it was still in the eclipse tin i wonder if someone has binned it?
#2993 Started off hoping to find all 5 but only ended up with a couple. A nice quick find here. TFTC.
Since I was waiting to pick up my son from a birthday party in Belconnen, I dropped past here and made a quick find. It was right on sunset so the views were nice despite the chilly breeze. TFTC
Waiting for Mrs Big Dad who had an appointment nearby. A quick cache to fill in time. TFTC
Found with fitzy_1965 before we head interstate for a weekend away.
We managed a bit of caching in Canberra after I finished work for the day. After finishing up in Canberra we headed for Victoria to do a bit of county finding. Not much caching along the way before camping the night at Oxley Reserve. Our first try of camping in the back of our car worked out ok but we have many ideas of what we should do differently next time.
Of the caches we tried, they were found quickly and easily. Thanks to much to each and every CO.

28,038. Found with minniek during a quick caching run in Canberra.
We were heading off for another caching adventure and decided to do a few caches along the way. The four caches up here have been a target for a while, so we came this way first. Unfortunately due to time constraints and muggles we only managed two of them. We'll be back though ! This one was a quick walk up the hill for the find. Stamped the 'log', replaced the cache as found, then continued on to the next one on the list.
Thanks TheGeoHorseman !! I'm pretty sure there have been caches around here before.

Found the cache quite easily and hope it's not a throwdown as it looks quite new It was also empty, so I rummaged in my wallet and came up with a Virgin baggage info slip.
I do like being alone at night in a park above the city.
Thanks for bringing me here.

First find of two on the first cold night of the year. Very windy out there. Maybe the weather gods are playing an April Fool’s Day prank on us … fortunately no muggles were loitering at the playground tonight so we could make the find quickly and move on to the next one. TFTC
After finally escaping the MASSES of cars leaving the nearby stadium I made it here for find two for this afternoon. I was finding a cache near the stadium, but didn't know the footy was happening. Over twenty minutes [:0] it took me to get to Hayden Drive.
Cache and log were good. TFTC TheGeoHorseman.
PS. Mintie times are micros .

Out and about for a few caches and was my first stop. Log was found wedged between the rocks, however the was no container to be seen. All the names from online were on the log, so it was definitely the original log. See attached photo
Thanks for the cache and showing me the area....

Sorry for the late call, if the logbook is still there I will get a new container, hopefully, it will not go far before I get there.
Half-found it, the log-page is loose and blew away in the wind. I shoved it back in the spot it's meant to be in but chances are it will go missing soon.
I think the container was taken as we found it a few meters away from the initial place if hiding, and it was only the paper
