Yass such an easy find and my first ever geocache in Tasmania as well as my first time here. I come from Vic and was so lucky enough to get the opportunity to see my cousin's down here. I can't wait to explore some more!
Big thanks to Cnsmith100 for placing this cache! Your effort brought an extra spark of excitement to our geocaching quest. This discovery was find number 1305 for us, marking another awesome moment in our adventures. Living and traveling full-time across Australia in our Toyota Coaster, we're always on the lookout for caches to uncover. To see more of our travels, feel free to follow our journey here https://linktr.ee/SalandAnth
We are currently house sitting in Lebrina. This afternoon we dropped the home owners off at the airport for their holiday. Whilst there we collected 3 of the caches near the airport and this was one of them. Sadly the log here is just mush, photo attached. Needs some maintenance, great cache though . TFTC
Swampy and I decided to visit Stanley with the aim of adding Pine Nut (GC52EF) to my list of oldest caches found. After an excellent trip, visiting the Hydro Power Trail along the way, we continued heading North West caching as we went. We found many different type of hides, cache containers and conditions. We fixed what was needed and replaced as found. What they all had in common was getting 2 geeks outside for some exercise. I came back via Launceston and found caches there too. This find, In Plane Site, brings my total to 1743 and was found at 12:45 on 10/6/2024.Thanks Cnsmith100 for playing the game and giving us another reason to visit this area. Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
Six months ago on a very warm Brisbane day, Chamad found cheap return flights to Launceston. So with little thought, but 6 months to plan, the flights were booked - for a whirlwind 3 day weekend (travel time included). This was day three with an early morning start (in the dark with the sun taking ages to appear). We spent the morning collecting caches around Hobart and met up with Eepees for a few of the trickier ones. By mid morning, we were on our way to Launceston for the plane flight back to Brisbane. Originally the plan was to drive straight to the airport, but we still managed to stop for about 10 caches along the way.Just when I thought we had already found our last one, this one became our last one before plane.
A while back, jetstar had flights to Launceston from Brisbane for $150 return. What a great opportunity to grab a new state, some new caches and meet some new people. Oh there was one other purpose, North Tassie. My caching buddy feels the cold so was a little sceptical to the timing and had second thoughts to the idea when I mentioned it, however flights were booked and the weekend finally arrived. Day three and we are heading back, our time here is done, but there is still 4 hrs of time to grab a few more caches and a couple along the way. The plan today was to grab a few of the maps, meet up with EeePees for a couple of caches and then head up north with a few more on the way to the airport. It has been a good time here and we got some very nice caches. Will plan a 2 week trek here next time and finish off what was left behind and start on those geo arts.We are working our way up now and I saw this one. It was a nice quick find with very little thinking. We signed the log and replaced the cache as we found them and then went on our way to the next cache. Thanks for the hide.
Wasnt much parking nearby but went for a walk to get this one, found it very quick and gad no troubles to find. TFTC
slightly less traffic on Sunday so sneaky park close by and cache was soon in hand TFTC
15 minutes after we landed we were straight on the app and found this cache! TFTC and looking forward to finding more in Tasmania from Victoria
In Tassie for the next few months. So many great places to visit and so many different caches to find.Meanandering about on some of these country roads and took a slight detour for a few hides in town. An easy enough find at GZ.Thanks Cnsmith100 for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Its actually the middle of our Tassie trip, however it wasnt really convenient to look for this cache with all our bags after we landed a few days ago. During the day today we were passing through and stopped at the airport to use the facilities, grab the cache and watch a plane land. The log is completely fine (looks like someone has replaced it) despite the needs maintenance log.TFTC and greetings from Melbourne
After one week on Tassie we are flying back to Sydney to spend a week there. Hopefully well come back one day, cause we really like Tassie. One last cache before departure.Einen lieben Gru hinterlsst Die-GYLDe in dieser nun lachenden Schatzkiste DFDCVielen Dank fr's Herlocken, Legen und Pflegen! Many thanks for placing and leading me out here!Bedankt voor het plaatsen en om me naar hier te lokken!Muchas gracias por este cache que me ha trado hasta aqu!Moltes grcies per amagar i per mostrar-nos aquest indret!Merci pour cette cache et les amener aussi ce endroit!Graas para o cache, Grazie per questo Cache, Obrigado por isso Cache!, Takk for at Cache, Tack fr att Cache, Tak for denne Cache, Kiitos, ett Cache, Ai u t talpykl, Paldies par o Cache, Aith selle eest Cache, Dziki za Cache, Dky za ke, Hvala cache, Ksznjk, hogy a cache, nbellek iin teekkrler, cache, , , Dankon pro la kamemoro!
A quick find whilst waiting for the Flinders plane to arrive. TFTCCheers,The Hancock Clan
Got it. Unfortunately log book is too wet to sign. Perhaps a little visit by owner is needed. But talk you for another quick grab today.
We unfortunately couldnt stop and look for this one- there is no parking nearby other than the airport and with small kids the main road was a big dangerous to navigate if parking offsite.
Adelaide to Hobart Road Trip.
Day Three: Tasmania’s North Coast
Weather: sensational, like spring, until the sun went down …
Another cache that is perilously close to an airport, and I hence I thought no chance of parking a campervan nearby. Turned out there was a spot very close by that worked for me. A quick find at GZ.
LST needs one of those time killer Adventure Labs! I have a credit, but I’m flying out of HBA on this trip.
Thanks for the cache Cnsmith100.
It’s officially a mega.

Driving past I went t look for this cache but realized that I had found it about two weeks ago and overlooked to log the find. Then the cache and contents were in good condition.
Came over to help Jude_E find this cache. We found it but it wasn’t quite what we expected from the description.
I am touring Tasmania with a group of Kiwi cachers. I’m looking forward to seeing the countryside, the towns and cities, finding lots of caches.
Logs signed GNJ for GraciesGPSfun, NZB and Jude_E.
Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Cnsmith100.

Had real trouble spotting this so needed reinforcements. NZ_B spotted it after I cut my finger on a sharp piece of metal. Thanks for the hide.

Dropped our hire car off just up the road, whilst waiting for our muggle friends for a flight we tried to reach 130 caches. Sadly we were one off. Great hide, TFTC
Back home we decided to tackle a few caches that have been published since our last time in Launceston and surrounds.
A quick find, plenty of muggles around and passing by. Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Hi Cnsmith100,
Even though this was hiding in plain sight, I tried to make it way harder until I spotted the obvious.
Cache in top nick...a fav for the hide.
A top cache, thoroughly enjoyed....cheers ST.

Out enjoying the sun & thought evandale way for some geocaching. First stop of the day after actually going into the airport which was not needed reevaluating where to park and a small walk. Great cache!!! In good condition still Tftc
Found with GeoMaggie2. Easy find. Watch for traffic as you walk up to this one. Easy find once we were there.
Found with Angus 88. Easy find but watch out for traffic going around the roundabout.
A easy find for us. No Planes at the moment so it was nice and quiet around here.
We were out today finishing off a Lab series and found this along the way.

A welcome distraction while waiting for Loz to arrive from Melbourne. An easy find, nice construction.. thanks..!!
When I was last in the state I struggled to find parking for this cache, today off and out of the state managed to stop by this one before going into the airport, after a short lap I noticed the object that didn’t quite fit, cache found and is all good

I reckon whoever watches the security cameras may have been a bit concerned. I dropped off 'the egg' and circled around a few times before feeling awkward so went back across the main road, eventually did a U-turn then back around the roundabout. She had trouble opening the cache so I picker her up and crossed over again. After getting it open I circled the roundabout again while the cache was replaced. We had a bit of a laugh.
Thanks Cnsmith100

Tftc, a quick find in the dark after out flight from Melbourne. Spent a few days orienteering over the long weekend. we've driven past this sign so many times on our way to evandale but never had the chance to get it, so seeing as we had a few spare minutes we decided to quickly stop and grab it. Awesome little container which blends in well. Cache and contents are all in good condition
Getting away for a mountain biking trip with friends, we had planned on a holiday to Derby during 8-13/02/2022. For the most part, we spent our days MTB-ing Blue Derby (Black Stumps) trails, as well as riding Blue Tier Forest Reserve's trails, such as the upper section of Bay of Fires, Blue Tier and Atlas. There was an opportunity to find a few geocaches in Launceston before driving to Derby, and on our final day with our flight departure in the evening, we travelled back via Scottsdale and Lilydale, and visited a few spots around Launceston such as Cataract Gorge and Trevallyn Dam.
Today, with the majority of the group departing quite early back to Adelaide, it allowed a full day of heading back and checking out Launceston with our evening departure. We checked out Legerwood's awesome timber sculptures, before proceeding around Scottsdale and checking out a Bridestowe Lavender Estate. Other highlights including Tunnel's railway tunnel, and Lilydale waterfalls. After enjoying a Launceston bakery lunch, we then visited Cataract Gorge for a few hours (whilst completing *Launceston Cataract Gorge* Adventure Lab), walking along the gorge, and then proceeded to the lookout at Trevallyn Dam. Our final drive then took us to northern Launceston in Invermay, before checking out the City Park. A terrific day checking out this quiet Tasmanian city.
I thought about trying to stop at this location as we made our way into the airport to return our rental car, but there didn't seem to be too many places to stop the car, and so I allowed my muggle friend the opportunity to continue driving, without me bugging him to stop once again. However we were rather early to the airport, so after checking our bags and MTB in, I decided to take a walk from the terminal to this spot, as my final Tasmanian cache find. I had a look around, and then spotted something a little out of place, which turned out to be the sneaky cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. It just took a little effort at positioning it back to how I found it. Thanks Cnsmith100 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. A Favourite Point from me!

What a great cache, we looked around at GZ, for a minute or too just to get the feel for what we could be looking for, After a minute or so Mr G spotted something which look a possible and sure enough it turned to be correct. Putting it back was a little more difficult. But was left all good.
This has to have a favourite point, top effort.

Clever little cache. Very creative. Love it. Had hubby fooled initially. To avoid some muggles search from the rear. TFTC
Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of a very exposed cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks cnsmith for the cache.
Heading home today with a heavy heart. Have loved our holiday in Tassie and love your weather. My hair hasn’t gone frizzy in the humidity and d we very day the sun shone.
Arrived at GZ and it was a quick find as the cache was just lying out in the open. Opened my back pack to realise I’d thrown everything out of the hire car’s centre console into our checked in luggage. Will send a photo of proof of the find. Not sure exactly where this greatly constructed cache is meant to be but I tucked it away.
Thanks for the cache and thank you Tassie for a great holiday.

On the way north and took the longer way to Launceston via Leighlands Road to grab a couple of caches to start the Reach the Peak for November. Parked in the side street and walked to GZ. A very clever hide, well done. Deserves a favourite. TFTC
out and about to get smileys for the GC game "reach the Peak". and this was on the list. a cool and light rainy day that stayed all week and until Sunday in both the north and the south. TFTC TNLN log dry.
Thanks for the cache Cnsmith100.
RLD4963 and I took advantage of the Hobart Show Day public holiday to take a short break to the north of the state. We found this as we made our way to our accommodation.
Nice quick find at GZ. Good place for a cache.

At the airport today to pick up some relatives - not to worry though as they had travelled from a green zone!!
We usually park out on the street and just drive in when we get the call to say they're ready and waiting to be picked up.
Had about 15 minutes to spare so wandered over to GZ where the cache container was quickly found.
Thanks for the cache and the nicely crafted container.
