Logs
Hmmmm, wondering what cache I found since I swear the last log date was 2022. Anyhow, a cache found and signed at GZ that matched the hint. Cheers
Quick trip ip to the Nelson area, with a wee bit of caching in between, many thanks for the caches . - Bitsprayer
This was perfect as the plums on the tree were ready for a snack and the quads were out for us to watch
Found it finally, unfortunately forgot to bring a pen so I will go back soon to write my name in the logbook
Somehow missed it going out but got it coming back. Not too muddy but left the van at the road.

After signing the log of Heading Further North cache and arriving at Pukeko Junction I had intended to return to the cachemobile parked at the hotel. But I noticed that I had only ridden 6kms and I really needed a longer ride. I then found that my next closest unfound was this one just 3.something km further west. Selecting Trail mode on my ebike soon had me turning onto the track to to GZ. I was glad then for the ebike as it meant I could just splash through the puddles and negotiate the muddy track all the way to GZ. When I stopped riding I was just 2m from the cache. After the quick find I was soon back up the muddy track and out on the tarseal once more heading for the cachemobile parked at the hotel. Total ride distance covered, including a little return ride up the Kowhai River to the farm gate on the MTB track to Amberly, was about 18km. TFTC zzzmee
A quick easy find with accurate coordinates after walking down the rather muddy track. TFTC
Jumped the puddles and next I was at GZ. After searching where the GPS pointed me unsuccessfully I checked the hint and five minutes later came away with the goods.
For me, using my phone's GPS the cache was found 8-10 meters west of where my phone suggested. Initially searched the indicated area without success then contacted a previous finder for a nudge. The log is very damp as suggested by the previous finder; TFTC
Log is wet so signed as JE. It took longer than anticipated. Sheer fluke I spotted it but will take the find anyway. Bit of a mud bath getting to the river at the moment. Thanks for the hide.

Out and about with Lyttletonwitch today. This took two goes within the same hour!! 7 metres out for us and very sneaky, unless we are really tunnel visioned!! Always easy when you know where it is!! Happily discovered by LW. TFTH
Busypaws and I spent ages here with no joy so we returned to the car. I read the previous logs and we decided to give it another try. We hunted high and low and about to give up when I spotted it. The logbook was damp but OK for writing on.
Out and about in the evening. Parked up by the road and walked in, managed dry feet....and soon enough had the cache cornered and signed.
Well remember the excursion to Nikadoodles Nest, back in 2015 with TheWanglers.....we drove to within 100m in the mighty hyundai, in the rain...at night...fun times.
Thanks.

First cache of the journey north, and I somehow seem to have forgotten to log it. I do remember writiing a log, but it seems not to have been posted. Hopefully this doesn't happen often!
Thanks for the cache it took a little bit of hunting but got there in the end. Cheers.

Felt very smug to be going on a 28°C day but soon cut down to size by that great grey green greasy Limpopo sump (ok not the Limpopo but was impressive. ) Not keen on the rotting rabbits but enjoyed the hide. Tftc
Brought in the reinforcements today!!!! We found the track almost gumboot high with water and yet the river was bone dry. No 1 Grandson found the cache almost immediately using the altered co-ords. It was not that hard as it was not really hidden. Didn't even move off the track to view, but then we had to reach for it A real pleasure to sign the log. Thank you zzmee
Coordinates changed from:
S 43° 11.779 E 172° 41.935
Coordinates changed to:
S 43° 11.780 E 172° 41.930
Distance from original: 23.1 feet or 7.0 meters.
Have slightly tweaked the co-ords. The tree cover makes it very variable, but hoping this will be slightly better. Use the hint (and the name!)

We thought the track would be ok since we haven't had too much rain- but it did prove to be a bit of a mission in a couple of spots! Thanks zzzmee for sorting this one
No luck for us today!!! Took three quarters of an hour and all we found were fresh brambles, horizontal trees and mud. Possibly the wind storm a few days ago has changed things. Even PAFed and followed instructions all to no avail.
We did a quick Morning drive up to here and just as we stopped it started to rain.Had to plodge through the muddy track to GZ and it was quickly spotted TFTH
Great first hide and I made very hard work of it. But I guess that’s is all part of geocaching as I over thought it. So muddy here so took it slowly on foot. Glad I didn’t contemplate driving down as I would have been there for months. TFTH and a favourite point from me for the great location.
Quick dash out the door with evilC a bit after the notification came through with hopes of an FTF... Interesting search that took forever when I stumbled upon in by accident... FTF at 8.31pm! TFTC!!
Went out for a drive with some crazy cacher and participated in a joint FTF.
Muddy. Dark. Prickles.
You may want to add "on the way to the river" into the appropriate spot in the hint to avoid ambiguity!
Thanks.
