Finished another long trip around Australia. The 6th. Finished trip to Townsville to grab the Palm Island LGA. Now only 2 LGAs to complete Australia.Firstly heading back south for some Canberra time.TFTC. The trip from Maryborough to Deception Bay was painful. So much traffic it was completely stopped many times. Still stopped for a few caches and an Ad Lab but had to be very careful to firstly figure out how to get back into the traffic easily. Traffic puzzle time.Off to the airport and then a bunch of urban challenge caches that were quite hard to get.Took quite a few climbs to finally find this one.[sacada](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=sacada) has used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9DXE1/62033 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did."Find 5 different states on a Wednesday" Qualifying 14 / 5, PASSED

Logged this cache on an afternoon out with Notquiteyet. We were very fortunate that the park was pretty much deserted. Whilst the satnav was pointing to one end of the structure, the cache container was found at the other end. All is good with the log book. The climb was easier than expected, with only one major level to ascend. The project gc checker has today given the tick, with this set of results:"Find 5 different states on a Wednesday"Australia - Australian Capital Territory - 2021-04-14 GC2KWD6 - Barrine Bridge (Traditional Cache)Australia - New South Wales - 2013-10-09 GC44K8X - Bernie (Traditional Cache)Australia - Queensland - 2012-08-15 GC235F2 - Jugger! Last day before returning to Melbourne and I spent some time just north of Brisbane. This is one of a couple of series of challenges that I aimed to sign, some I qualify for but others will need a lot of work. This is, thankfully, one that I meet requirements for.First approach was stymied by the groundan mowing the pitch, but after a wander around the ovals the coast was clear for a quick clamber and recover. TFTC and challenge.

Signed, will log when I check if I qualify. I'm out caching on this beautiful day while visiting your country. I am visiting from Rhode Island and traveling with a group of cachers from USA and Canada. We will be traveling to Brisbane, Sydney, and embarking on an NCL cruise to the South Pacific. Logs will be signed with our names or group name to saveroom on logs. SPCA24. Thank you to the COs who hide and maintain these caches. Everything below this line is for Project-GC log numbers. ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** I will be attending any nearby events to meet up with local cachers. I will be targeting gadget caches, which are always a fun challenge. Older caches and Virtuals aren't to be missed. Solved puzzles that I've spent many snowy days working on. Earthcaches are always worth the lessons learned. Challenge caches are some of my favorites even if I don't qualify yet... something to work towards. Webcams before they all disappear. High favorites are always worth the fun. Adventure Labs point out things I would usually just drive by without the work a CO puts into them. New counties, whenever possible, for some of those challenges I've already signed. Let's not forget towns for MA351 whenever in the area. I'm always on the lookout for large sized containers and caches for my Fizzy and Jasmer grids. Logs will be stamped with our caching names or initials to save room on logs. I don't always stamp in order, I will fill in spaces if there are any on the log. If answers are required, one of us will send them when we get home. Thank you to all of the COs for the time and dedication of hiding and maintaining these Geocaches for everyone to find! ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** **

This was a fun cache to find for this monkey. Fortunately there was no one nearby when I was there, or I may have gained an audience.

I really didn’t think I’d qualify for this cache too quickly, because Wednesday is payday for my staff, so I’m usually pretty busy. This year, however, I’ve been lucky enough to be doing a bit of travelling, and I’ve had to be creative with when I work, to get everything paid and processed in time. This has, in turn, enabled me to cache on days when I’d usually be too busy.

Out caching today with Kolour targetting some climbs and tree fishing caches in the area. Last time I climbed up here I got stuck .... with my trusty new TOTT there were no such problems.
Thanks georode for the challenge - log signed, will check if I qualify.

Today was spent geocaching with Willis007, mostly signing challenge caches plus a few solved puzzles with mainly Willis007 doing the tree climbs and I doing the tree fishing with a borrowed pole. A great day.

After the event at the Chermside Library earlier tonight where it was nice to catch up with the CO of these challenge caches, The Green Geckos and Muggle65 graciously helped me getting around the area by giving me a lift to the wetlands and some more caches on their way home while we were listening to the German classics of Scooter and Rammstein! Sometimes a 20min drive quickly turns into a 2.5h hunt, especially when there are good D/T ratings on offer. By now I was able to collect all my priority caches and so I convinced them that I would be fine on my own from now on. Overall, I was able to get over 20 caches that night by sacrificing some sleep as I only was back at my hotel at 2AM! Priorities, sleeping I can back at home! So thank you very, very much for the company and enormous help finding numerous of my targeted caches tonight! It was simply a perfect night for some caching adventures on the well lit paths by the full moon. For this challenge I more than easily qualify using finds from all over the world and I am happy to have mastered the climb on the structure:

As part of a short trip I am in Brisbane for a few days. During my previous trips down here I was able to make a big dent into my very long list of solved mysteries and caches of interest, such as oldies, caches that count towards my next matrix loop or caches that I could use for one or the other challenge. Though, the list that remained following my tips was still pretty extensive. Unfortunately, I am mostly limited to the night hours for caching this time around, so I focused on just a few caches that I could get quickly. So thank you very much georode for creating 5 States on Wednesday Challenge. It was fun getting it!

Trying to think why I was over here on my own and remembered an idea I had to try and do a calendar of challenges. I'm thinking it may take a few years to accomplish at the rate I'm going! Pulled up here in daylight and hunted around avoiding a few passing muggles. Cache found, signed and returned. Adding my tick pic.TFTC??

Signed this log but having hardly left Queensland except a couple of quick visits just over the border and a visit to Armidale to retrieve my son and his broken down car and no time to cache. Hopefully I can work on this one soon. TFTC

Fourth visit to this spot (the third was earlier in the day, and some sort of practice session was underway with lots of players about and we had to come a long way back after our other geocaching. This time we remembered to bring a ladder and got up easily. The sun had just set so the search was done in the cover of dark with a torch. Despite clambering (shuffling) the full length of the structure, Mrs STW failed to find the cache. We qualify for the challenge.

23-Jul-23
One of my geocaching resolutions for this year was to make more of an effort to qualify for a number of incomplete challenge caches. As it happened one of the unfulfilled challenges on my list involved finding other challenge caches in the month of July. I carefully prepared a to-do list of target caches for which I had already qualified, with plans to head out today to pick them off.As per usual when faced with a 50-50 option, my choice didnt pay off and I climbed the wrong end of the structure. Once at a high enough perch, I spotted it down the other end and after some careful manoeuvering, found myself able to sign the logbook. A friend was having a surprise milestone birthday party and a trip to Brisbane was required to attend.

After accidentally (on purpose), booking my flights a few days earlier, it was time to do some pre party caching around town.

Following my 4am wake-up to catch a 6am flight, the plan was to head north to find some challenges and other targeted caches.

This was a fun little bit of climbing, including trying to open sign and return the cache, but all done, and I qualify for this one to boot!

I’m quite surprised that I qualify for this cache as I don’t get to travel to other states very often.
I’m sure I’ve been through here for another puzzle cache some years ago but didn’t realise I would be doing some difficult climbing this time around until I was at GZ.
I picked the most logical end to climb from and was delighted to find the cache right in front of my nose once I got up high enough!
All good here so TFTCC and I attach a copy of the log to see who else has been around…

In the area this afternoon to find some caches. This was a fun climb. Lucky I’m still small enough to squish through to get where I needed to be, unaided by any TOTT. I felt a little like Spiderman (was there ever a spiderwoman?). Well, there is now..haha.

I remember the day I signed this one and was so far away from completing. Today I have finally made it thanks to my recent side trip to Canberra, (and the roar of the crowd is deafening) sometimes it can be about the caches first, lol.

After my recent trip to Rutherglen for the Mega, I seem to have acquired and completed some new challenge caches. I made it to Canberra also, where I ended up getting 8 types in the 2 days I was there. Along with the challenges I have already logged I am starting to see which ones I now qualify, so exciting to finish off some stimulating challenges. It is not by accident that these have been completed, but by constant searching and hopes that one day I will get there, lol. I am so glad to have signed these previously and to now collect. To the CO, thank you for the fun challenge.

I couldn't work out from home why the T rating was the way it was, but a quick drive-by soon sorted that out. Oh, up there! Okay then.

I recently went on a trip to Canberra and the Snowies to celebrate a mid-life birthday. Life begins at 40, or so they say. Thankfully I picked up what I needed to qualify for this cache, in two different countries!

Could be interesting on match days…lol.

I’m down in Brisbane to sign some challenge caches, Peppa has kindly offered to be my tour guide, which made this day way more successful than I had hoped! After taking care of the stats hound series in record time we have come to Bracken ridge to clean up a few more.

Being a Saturday I didn’t think I’d be able to get this one but thanks to the rain the last few days the grounds are too wet to play on! Win for me!
Peppa had already found this one so he directed me up and I made the find, dropped it down so he could sign and then it went back where it came from.

Happy to have this one ticked off. My qualifying list includes Alaska, British Columbia and New Zealand. Some good memories there, nice challenge, adding a FP.

Time to find a few caches while I am in town.
A bit of a search for me today. Found it eventually.

03-Jul-22
Well I’m glad I managed to sign this one today for two reasons. I’ve been to GZ twice before and both times there were groups of muggles standing right where I needed to start climbing! Today though it was unusually quiet so up I went for a quick find.. and forgot a pen haha. nikid1 saved the moment and passed me one Smile The second reason for wanting to sign this logbook is that it’s the first of many challenge caches today I’ve visited and actually qualify for!

I’ve been busy on Wednesdays, qualifying with 51 states in 33 countries. Favourite point given for triggering great memories Smile

29-May-22
Some exercise needed today, so I walked a long loop from the end of this street over the curly-wurly bridge and around Bracken Ridge collecting caches. Once I was done, I called past this one and for the first time ever, found it muggle free.

I quickly made the climb and judging the required height, traversed the entire structure from one end to the other before I eventually made the find. The container was quite some distance from the listed coordinates today - take note that these structures are moveable and the GPS should not be relied upon here. Just climb and search!

I qualify here with 4 Australians States and 1 Territory, as well as two other countries.

Another play day with Peppa and after a meet up with Gcoven earlier in the day to help with her cache maintenance run, we are continuing our hunt for caches.

I had tried to get this cache a month ago but was thwarted by groundman near GZ, so today we were able to grab this one. Peppa took the short straw again and scaled the heights of this structure to be able to sign the log. There was a gentle breeze blowing just enough to put the woops up Peppa but he carried out the deed and returned to earth unscathed. (I didn't know he doesn't like heights). Very proud of Peppa!!

Project-GC says I qualify with every state in Australia as well as NZ, Singapore, Taiwan and Palau.

Even though I knew I had zero chance (1 of 5) of qualifying for this challenge, we had to stop here as last time Patrol14 was here there was an ogre, a South Australian or groundsman nearby that prevented her from getting to the cache…

I did the honours and foisted myself up to the cache… there was just enough wind that I knew I was up high… Thanks to The Covid, I think this may take awhile to qualify for..

1MinnieMoo had to return to this one to grab it. The amount of muggles that seem to be around this cache is quite hmmm.. obnoxious.

Finally the coast was clear and 1MinnieMoo made the effort to get to GZ. Her first effort yielded nothing - but the second attempt was successful. Each time we’ve turned up to find this cache there has always been a cricket game in progress. Seeing I always hate those people that walk behind the bowlers arm when I’m watching cricket on the TV I didn’t want to be one of them.

This evening I had to drop Mrs Woodyrothwell at a staff Christmas party at the Brighton Bowls Club. I could see when I dropped her that it was a salubrious establishment so I’m happy that I didn’t grab a ticket. I would rather chauffeur home a bunch of pissed teachers than listen to them complain about crazy kids all night.

Late in the day I felt that this was going to be my best chance to search for the cache. The cricket was still going on the next field over but the covers were drawn on the closest pitch. This was my chance and so I picked the spot I could hopefully eyeball everything from, climbed and was rewarded. Now I just need to go home and try not to touch any wine until the drunken phone call comes through. tftc

I have been working on qualifying for the challenges around here and this is one i have qualified for and today i decided to bike ride out here from Banyo which was a nice ride mostly along the bike path but on the way home it was so windy it took a bit longer . At GZ i climbed up one section, no luck. Climbed another section, no luck, hey but what is that over there. I then managed to maneuver across and the prize was mine. That was fun. I did go a bit further on to find another cache but tennis muggles were there so thats a great excuse for another bike ride. Thank you for this challenge and fun climb.

18-Oct-21
Third visit here. Every time I come there are grounds people here. Was looking good as I approached but I stopped to talk to a magpie and as I did a ute pulled up. 2 guys jumped out to inspect the structure at GZ so I went for a walk. When I returned they had gone. I shot up and soon had the cache in hand (just dumb luck as I couldn’t see it and was about to take another step up but a feel with my hand located it). Opened the cache to an empty container. Umm.
Climbed back down. Looked around the structure just in case the log blew out as I opened it and didn’t realise but couldn’t see a log anywhere.
Walked back to the car where I had a spare log and placed that in cache. Went and had another look for the original log still with no luck. So the cache is back where I found it with a new log in there.
I’ll check on a Wednesday to see if I qualify but I suspect I will from holidays of past.
