24-Mar-24
Signed, will log when I check if I qualify. I'm out caching on this beautiful day while visiting your country. I am visiting from Rhode Island and traveling with a group of cachers from USA and Canada. We will be traveling to Brisbane, Sydney, and embarking on an NCL cruise to the South Pacific. Logs will be signed with our names or group name to saveroom on logs. SPCA24. Thank you to the COs who hide and maintain these caches. Everything below this line is for Project-GC log numbers. ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** I will be attending any nearby events to meet up with local cachers. I will be targeting gadget caches, which are always a fun challenge. Older caches and Virtuals aren't to be missed. Solved puzzles that I've spent many snowy days working on. Earthcaches are always worth the lessons learned. Challenge caches are some of my favorites even if I don't qualify yet... something to work towards. Webcams before they all disappear. High favorites are always worth the fun. Adventure Labs point out things I would usually just drive by without the work a CO puts into them. New counties, whenever possible, for some of those challenges I've already signed. Let's not forget towns for MA351 whenever in the area. I'm always on the lookout for large sized containers and caches for my Fizzy and Jasmer grids. Logs will be stamped with our caching names or initials to save room on logs. I don't always stamp in order, I will fill in spaces if there are any on the log. If answers are required, one of us will send them when we get home. Thank you to all of the COs for the time and dedication of hiding and maintaining these Geocaches for everyone to find! ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** ** **

After the event at the Chermside Library earlier tonight where it was nice to catch up with the CO of these challenge caches, The Green Geckos and Muggle65 graciously helped me getting around the area by giving me a lift to the wetlands and some more caches on their way home while we were listening to the German classics of Scooter and Rammstein! Sometimes a 20min drive quickly turns into a 2.5h hunt, especially when there are good D/T ratings on offer. By now I was able to collect all my priority caches and so I convinced them that I would be fine on my own from now on. Overall, I was able to get over 20 caches that night by sacrificing some sleep as I only was back at my hotel at 2AM! Priorities, sleeping I can back at home! So thank you very, very much for the company and enormous help finding numerous of my targeted caches tonight! It was simply a perfect night for some caching adventures on the well lit paths by the full moon. Thanks for creating all those challenges, this is the last for the night:

As part of a short trip I am in Brisbane for a few days. During my previous trips down here I was able to make a big dent into my very long list of solved mysteries and caches of interest, such as oldies, caches that count towards my next matrix loop or caches that I could use for one or the other challenge. Though, the list that remained following my tips was still pretty extensive. Unfortunately, I am mostly limited to the night hours for caching this time around, so I focused on just a few caches that I could get quickly. So thank you very much georode for creating 50 Counties on Sunday Challenge. It was fun getting it!

One of my geocaching resolutions for this year was to make more of an effort to qualify for a number of incomplete challenge caches. As it happened one of the unfulfilled challenges on my list involved finding other challenge caches in the month of July. I carefully prepared a to-do list of target caches for which I had already qualified, with plans to head out today to pick them off.I didnt come prepared with a helpful tool of the trade today, so had to try some gymnastics to retrieve the cache. A cricket game was going on at the nearby field which made things a little awkward, but they all seem preoccupied with match. I shimmied up to GZ cash but the container was a little stuck, with the split ring catching on a rivet. Manipulation retrieved the cache to sign but the logbook was full so I replaced it with a spare I was carrying. A midwinter break in beautiful Queensland.
Day One: Brisbane’s northern edge.
Weather: sensational.

I enjoy collecting new LGAs, so an easy pass for me here. Interesting to see that the checker has given me King County, Washington state USA, for one of those locationless caches!

Thanks for the challenge georode. A favourite.

A friend was having a surprise milestone birthday party and a trip to Brisbane was required to attend.

After accidentally (on purpose), booking my flights a few days earlier, it was time to do some pre party caching around town.

Following my 4am wake-up to catch a 6am flight, the plan was to head north to find some challenges and other targeted caches.

A walk on the right side of the creek/embankment got to this cache. It looks like lots of travels happen on a Sunday!

I started working on this challenge in November back in 2022 and it took awhile to qualify even though i do a lot of travelling. Love a challenge and this one was fun. I decided to take my grandson for a kick with a soccer ball here a few days ago but we could not spot this cache. Today a came prepared with a TOTT and once that was used i spotted the cache 2nd place i looked. Thanks for all the fun.

Out for a few hours caching this afternoon now evening.
I'd visited this area looking for this one previously but had assumed it was on the same side of the little creek as the road. I hadn't been able to reach where I thought it was on that occasion so left it for a visit with some TOTT.

I have been in Brisbane all week. I managed to get some time free between meetings and clients to stop by two of these challenge caches in this park. This one was the second. I arrived and realised it was out of reach. I am 1500km from home and on a tight time schedule, I will be frogged if I am going to walk away. I managed to elevate myself to the required height and found the cache in the first place I looked. Oh, cramp, ahhhhh. Stretch.

Signed and returned as found. Cache in good condition, ring is rusty, they always do for some reason. Thanks for the challenge Georode.

Thanks to a holiday in WA and Melbourne and some travelling a little further from home I now qualify for this one.

Looking at the checker 57/50 so it seems it’s been a while between checks, I see some good memories so thanks georode these are the type of challenge caches I enjoy.

Countries I cached on a Sunday.
Australia
Canada
France
Italy - Lucca
Italy - Venezia
New Zealand
United States

And within Australia I see Qld, NSW, Vic, Tas and WA caches listed.

I love Challenges ️
We were able to find the challenge cache and signed the logbook. I will check at home whether I am fulfilling the task and then log with all the necessary evidence.

Together with my favorite geocacher Milonguera we traveled to Australia We went to Melbourne via Singapore and from there we explored the south, the center and the east coast.
We walked around Melbourne and had a nice meet & greet event. Than we visited Philip Island with the pinguins and the Great Ocean Road. We fed and petted kangaroos visited the koalas and continued north via Coober Pedy to Alice Springs. We hiked around the impressive Uluru and through the beautiful Kata Tjuta and breathtaking Kings Canyon. The gorges of the Macdonell-Ranges are nice too. We traveled north and than east to Townsville and Magnetic Island. From Airlie Beach we rafted to the Whitsunday Islands for snorkeling and swimming at Whitehaven Beach and took a seaplane to the Great Barrier Reef.
On the way south we visited the capricorn coast, Great Keppel Island, 1770, Bundaberg, Rainbow Beach, Noosa, Tamborine National Parc, Goldcoast and the mainland's easternmost point Cape Byron.

**Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for showing the location and for hiding the cache. You should come to Berlin in Germany to find a lot of interesting geocaches, visit lost places in the surrounding Brandenburg and meet nice people at many events.
I wish you a lot of fun and great adventures while searching for the next geocache!**

Back again today to turn a blue frown on my map in the a nice smile. This time I was prepared with a tool of the trade to improve my elevation.

However, on arrival, the cache was found easily within arms reach. It certainly wasn't there last time I was here back in January! I quickly signed the log and watched an over or two of the nearby cricket. Any sport played in this heat is crazy!

It seems I qualify with caches found in 59 counties on a Sunday.

Many thanks, georode,

I’m down in Brisbane to sign some challenge caches, Peppa has kindly offered to be my tour guide, which made this day way more successful than I had hoped! After taking care of the stats hound series in record time we have come to Bracken ridge to clean up a few more.

I tried to sign this cache in Dec last year but was a few inches too short and couldn’t reach. Today I have returned with the taller person I required! Peppa had no problems reaching the cache and we have added our names to the log.

In Dec I was sitting on 43/50, today I am on 49/50! So close!!

Now, just to make sure, it a selection of Georode Challenges… for some unknown reason I’ve never stopped to sign this challenge… everything else, just this lone cache was left unfound… my extra 4 inches made all the difference…

At the time of signing I have 19 of the required 50 and I very prominent FAILED…

Managed to convince Madman04 to join me for a few caches. It really didn’t take much when I told him there would be Pokémon and tree climbing involved in our day.

Thankfully Madman04 is quite a tall fellow, I was on tiptoes but all MM04 had to do was reach. It still took a bit to get the sneaky beasty out as it had started to disappear into the depths of its hidey hole.

Thanks for the cache georode Big Grin

Going on holidays is one of the best times to hunt down some caches to complete a challenge. You might not be back there any time soon so you have to make hay while the sun shines. I don’t actually know how hay is made so I hope it has something to do with the sun.

On Sunday during our getaway we spent the day driving around to collect some finds. Adelaide is probably the best place for it as they have lots of small LGAs all very close to each other. In fact we found 3 caches that were less than a kilometre apart in different local government areas.

At GZ we knew where the cache was going to be but couldn’t spot it. In the end I had to call on my years as a pole-dancing artiste just to lay eyes on it. When it became apparent no amount of small branches was going to set it free I put Mrs Woodyrothwell on my shoulders with a couple of sticks to retrieve it. I’m always a bit partial to having my wife’s legs wrapped around me, but not at the cost of a few vertebrae. tftc

The last day of my Christmas break. I thought I would take a leisurely drive north to Sandgate and collect a few caches on the way.

Another one I qualify for. However, I was underprepared for the search - being challenged on the elevation front - and not able to spot the cache from the ground. Nearby, I located some useful looking TOTT's, but they didn't really help as I couldn't see it.

Will need to come back with a ladder, or a friend...

It was hot walking around this park in the middle of the day, but the trees gave a bit of shade. I wasn’t tall enough for this cache, I found a stick and managed to pull the cache to the edge but couldn’t hook it to get it down. Then I managed to push it back in, I tried and tried to get it back out but couldn’t get it. I gave up and will have to return with a taller person, a step or a TOTT.

We waded across the park from the previous cache, unable to find a dry route and thankful for waterproof shoes. I expected to be able to just stand back and see this one based on the hint but that strategy turned out unhelpful so we employed the height of the junior DisSister once more and with a bit of a jump he spotted it immediately. Thanks to our trip around Australia in 2019 we qualify for this one too. TFTC georode

Out on the Northside to find a few caches needed for a Challenge (something to do with Friday) and came to this area to find them.

I didn't check the D/T ratings for these challenges before starting and now I am realising that my lack of height is making the grabbing of these caches more challenging than the Challenge.

I improvised with nature's TOTT and after many tries, finally retrieved this cache. SL then using my other TOTT was able to return it to its hide.

Patrol14 used project-gc to see if they qualify for this cache and they do. 63/50 counties to date.

My final cache for the day. Just as I arrived at GZ, the phone ran out of battery. Well, you got me here phone. That'll do.

However, I was not spotting the beast. However, I eventually managed to extract the beast from its hidey hole and sign the log. I popped the cache back at an opportune time.

I do enjoy county Challenges. I managed to add 3 more Queensland counties on a recent holiday. A great little Challenge. TFTC georode Smile

I signed this log in September, but didn't qualify. A trip to Far North Queensland in late September/October saw me reach the required number of LGAs early in October. I love my road trips, so thank you, georode, for giving me an excuse for another one. Big Grin TFTC

Today, I started the day with a local parkrun, and then after a few morning chores, I grabbed my newly acquired kayak and headed to Tinchi Tamba Wetlands. I had particularly wanted the Fishmonkey and Stingray challenges, but also I wanted to test out my kayak's performance, which went well. Following my tiring session, I visited a few geocaches around Sandgate and Shorncliffe, completing the two Adventure Labs *Sandgate Heritage Trail* and *Walking On The Sun - The Shorncliffe Ramble*. With great weather and ideal conditions for kayaking, it turned out to be an enjoyable day.

I recall that I tried looking for this cache prior to publish, and even searched this sign, but I didn't look too deep, which was unfortunately how I missed this one. Back again this evening whilst driving nearby, and I thought I would end my day with this find. However, I had forgotten about the ditch/creek, and so a long walk was needed in getting around to arrive at GZ. I searched the various spots and no cache was spotted, so having a torch and camera, I soon realised that the cache was hidden rather deep inside the sign. How annoying, and I thought why the cache couldn't just be placed back with keyring overlapping (or perhaps the CO can add a cable tie taped to the container so it can be extracted accordingly?). I did try various techniques in getting it out, and soon resorted to pushing it out with sticks from the other side. However, after all that effort, I returned with a few more sticks in hoping to loop it out, and that managed to do the trick. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks georode for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. The next person shouldn’t have too many issues from how I left it. With respect to the challenge, all our travels across South Australia on weekends and on our drive up to Brisbane from Adelaide had us well and truely tick this challenge off.

I used [Project-GC](https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC9DXE7/62037 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if I qualified for this challenge, and I did. I have found 108 geocaches in different counties/LGAs on a Sunday, and required 50.
