Sydney Courier Run!Day Three: Goulburn to BarhamWeather: sensational. To me, roses are a bit like race horses. There are so many of them, that the names can get a little crazy. I was here right on sunrise, unable to tell if I was being watched from inside Hungry Jacks or not. I must have looked suss - a few laps to find what I needed. This was the multi with the short walk to the final today. Thanks for this multi my_name_jeff_1.Its officially a megaGCA1DNA The Great Leap ForwardAdelaide, South Australia February 29, 2024Wed love to have your company.
Mr Minion and I are spending a few days in Goulburn finding caches, we are really enjoying the town and the variety of the hides. A nice simple little multi with a quick find at GZ.Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
We visited Goulburn for the monthly CITO and event afterwards. We were somewhat early, and so decided to head to the starting coordinates for this one, and since the final was not too far away, we were able to add our name to the log. Thanks my_name_jeff_1Domsky
Visiting from Ohio, USA and driving around enjoying Australia in a campervan. Took a while to figure this one out since I got something wrong in my calculations but the checksum still matched. Eventually I figured out my mistake and made the find.
Cache 10135 on 12 Apr 2023.
Bobl27 had to come to Goulburn for some tests, so I decided to tag along to see if I could score a couple of multis while waiting for him. In the end I managed to work out and log seven multis! Very satisfied with that effort. Coordinates for all of them worked out easily and found all but one easily and quickly in line with any hints provided.
Photo of old log provided and signed replacement log.
Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for the cache and the fun!

Been here before for a previous cache, but back today to do the multi. Found the required item, calculated GZ, then off to find it. All good.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Found on a fun day of caching in Goulburn after today's GGGT CITO. Lovely sunny day. I solved this one at the last GGGT CITO but just as I was about to go over to GZ, I was called over and offered a trip to some other new caches in Goulburn. Today, I came by and nabbed the find. Lovely and fun multi cache. TFTC!
A trip to check out some of the awesome places in NSW & ACT and grab some old caches. TFTC.
Nice quick offset. Nice.

After dropping my son at work in Queanbeyan, I spent the rest of the day caching my way to tonight's events in Goulburn. Arrived early for the CITO, so did this multi while waiting for others to arrive. Cache easily found. TFTC.

Couldn’t find the solution to the puzzle. What do you mean “24k name for the rose variety”?
Out with GreyHams on a mostly nice sunny day. With the recent rain there was plenty of water lying about, the little car got, well... just a 'little' muddy! Thankfully though we stayed dry and clean enough! Wow, it was a long day that saw us cover a lot of distance, climb a few hills, and collect a lot of good quality caches along the way. Generally, most caches were found in good condition, all at the coordinates and dry although a few have not held up to the rain and were in poor or very wet condition.
Thanks for your cache that led to a good day out!

This in hindsight was far easier as we had named GZ on approach but was useful to get the confirmation before making the find.
Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for placing the cache

We came along with ilook4geo to pick up some of the many multi caches, plus a couple of others, that are available in and around Goulburn. Our aim is to eventually gather 1000 multis and we still have quite a way to go. The ones chosen for this visit we hoped were going to be fairly quick to do and easy to find. There was no problem with this one and the log was signed before we moved on. Thanks go to my_name_jeff_1 for this cache placement.
Took a wander around Goulburn with goingplaces2 doing some multi caches. Enjoyed the day and found a good amount. This was one of our finds. Log was signed and all was replaced. TFTC.

Found with sui_001 on an epic cache for about of Goulburn today. Signed dsd or darksidedan or Adventure Boys or AB to save space in the log. Claimed 4 FTFs and 6 2TF today also. Thanks for the cache and the adventure.
A nice and easy multi A quick find here today, the cache was easily found and is all good
Day 4 of e.gregory1 and I’s trip to Yass, NSW and surrounds for a week away to find a few caches. Today we headed from Bowning to Goulburn, hitting the local trails around Yass and a few others around the area before caching around Goulburn for the afternoon.

Found on a week-long caching trip over to NSW and Victoria from Adelaide with gridge98.
Our main targets were the wherigo and challenge cache series’ around the Yass and Goulburn areas, although we also found quite a few other Unknown, multi, letterbox, virtual and traditional caches of interest along the way. We even managed to attend an event at Sutton and did a couple of caches just over the border in the ACT.
The middle of winter around the shortest day was probably not the best time to schedule our trip, particularly as we were camping. But despite a little bit of rain one night and sub-zero temperatures on another, the weather wasn’t too bad, albeit on the cloudy and cool side.
In all we covered about 3,300 km over the week and managed almost 350 finds each.
After collecting the required information for the final coordinates, it was off to GZ for the find.
Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for the cache.

I do love a multi that doesn’t make me go all the way to the other side of town. TFTC
Ï beg your pardon". We located the information and then located the cache.
Another day in Goulburn which has some great caching. We are staying a while longer so we can join the Events scheduled for tonight.
Today we spent our time in and around town working an Ad Lab we had not finished and a range of caches we have not got to yet, and what a beautiful day it was for it.
We managed more multis, puzzles and quite a few traditionals, both in town and ventured up to Mount Gray.
Another good day with most caches in good condition and muggle traffic not too high.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache my_name_jeff_1.

Reading the cache description as I walked to GZ, I had a pretty good idea of the 9-letter name, but checked it out to be sure - and I was correct. Cache readily found with fresh log as provided by the previous finder.

We planned a day or two in Goulburn, and sent a text to Rapidlywild to see if she could join us.
Sunday seemed to suit, so the target was - to find as many multi's as we could.
Rapidlywild came organised with pen and paper and the questions written out.
That made everything much easier, when solving.
Some gave us a few headaches, but after checking sums, we came out with the right numbers.
Most logs were signed as 'TDR' (for The Drovers & Rapidlywild), to save on time and space.
A big 'Thank You' to Rapidlywild for joining us, and making the day so much more fun.
A quick find, log sheet was wet and soggy. We put in a page from our note book.
Many thanks for placing this cache, my_name_jeff_1, for us and others to find.

Recieved a text from The Drovers who had plans to venture around Goulburn for the day doing a spot of caching before the terrible weather hits on Monday. Yeah awesome, I have a few to collect in Goulburn so would be nice to get a few more smilies around the area.
The weather was rather brisk and the wind would rip right through our jackets/jumpers today but we kept on chasing those smilies. Our main targets today were multi caches as there seems to have been an explosion of them around the place since my last visit. We managed to do ok today, had issues with one of the multis which unfortunately resulted in a DNF, a trad which will need to be archived as the property is now a private residence and a few very wet logs which we replaced with dry log sheets.
Another nice simple single offset multi, once the appropriate word was located the GZ was calculated. Unfortunately we opened the cache to a super wet log.... So we replaced the log with a dry log sheet and placed the wet log nearby for the CO to collect. Most of todays logs were signed as "TDR" for The Drovers Rapidlywild to save space on the logs.
Thanks for the hides my_name_jeff_1 And thanks to The Drovers for a fun day out and about around Goulburn [^].

Doing a quick raid of Goulburn specifically to meet up with SueDan83 and others for a go at GC9ECQR "Lunch Atop A Skyscraper".
I love roses, I just don't like roses bushes. Nice little multi. I had found this cache in its previous life when it was a trad... so found the info pretty quickly. Crunched the numbers and made the short walk to GZ. Hmmm... the log was so wet I didn't want to take it out of the container... see photo. Thanks

Day 20, and last, of the road trip to Townsville with LuckyL10n for the mega. Today was day 7 of the drive back to Canberra.
After a night in Dungog it was time to pick off a few more counties that have been missed on previous trips. We travel through down to Raymond Terrace, then onto Sydney for a few northern counties before grabbing our last cache for the rip in Goulburn. Only a handful of caches for the day, however another couple of counties were crossed off.
Last cache of the day and the trip.....good to cross that last one off.
Many thanks my name is jeff 1.....

#14432 - 15:25' Day twenty, the final day of the Townsville Mega adventure with Sol de lune. Spent last night in Dungog and heading south for home today. Only a few stops on the agenda today to add some more counties and an adventure lab. Unless indicated in the log, all caches were found in good order and logs signed L.L10n & Sdl or vice versa. After a DNF on MkI of this cache, dropped in to Goulburn for a final cache on the way home as a multi was part of the daily challenge today. The log is quite damp, but managed to get our names onto it. TFTC my_name_jeff_1
Unfortunately the O-Ring is missing and the log is too damp to sign. TFTC still for the nice garden.
Picked off a handful of caches around Goulburn. I had a successful day finding caches between light showers. Thanks to all Cache Owners for their hides.

Out caching today with Joolay and barb2e on our way to some events being held in Goulburn. We solved this last time so it was an easy pick up today in the rain. Thanks for another caching adventure my_name_jeff_1
Very wet log - managed initials only. Found with Joolay and Kittykatch on a trip to Goulburn today. Tftc
Good Multi.... StarAlign and i drive to Goulburn for day and good weather hot/cool... Good Laugh... Hide well.. tks
A fun day here from interstate collecting a few caches for puzzles that have been in the finished pile a while, some caches started but never quite finished or others that were on our hit list. With my Namadgi Hike scheduled for today now postponed this was a great Plan B with ALL7. We had a lot of laughs as we communication our way around this lovely township.
A lovely group of multicache adventures today. TFTC my_name_jeff_1.

In Goulburn picking up a few Multis and puzzles that we had worked out sometime ago. But not this one. Went looking for the clue, looking, looking then had my hand on the hide. Was not expected.
Beautiful rose garden.
Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for the hide

The roses were out in full bloom with colour everywhere. The scent was strong and sweet, displacing the smells from the fast food joint nearby. I grabbed the info, sat in the park across the road to unravel the numbers and arrived at plausible coords. Managed to get CIH but I did feel super exposed. Thanks for bringing me here my_name_jeff_1.
It was a last minute discussion to go for a drive to attend this event. Purely because one of the team is going a little stir crazy being stuck at home and not being about to get around like they are used to.
Had a bit of time to kill so wandered off to do a couple of multi's. Have been to this park before and soon had GZ sorted, found and signed.
Thanks for the multi and hide my_name_jeff_1

Today is the day of events. Community Breakfast to start, then a cito and a lunch event to finish it off for me. A few close by caches to grab as well. Then back home via Goulburn

Gathered the data, sat down on a bench across the road to do the calculations. Then back over the road for the quick find. Had a nice chat with the gardener who was tending his flock. TFTC mnj1
We have had a pleasant day, despite the cold wind, caching around Goulburn. We enjoyed your multis, the accurate coords, safe parking, and humour. Thank you. A FP for this set of multis.
A few days caching in the ACT and surrounds with Steeba, Wilbert67 and The Rats, another trip away like countless others that we have done before. We got the dates, we did the planning, we worked out a route. But there was one thing that we could not plan for; the weather.
The caches were excellent. The company faultless. The weather; atrocious. Rain, rain, rain. And then more rain. On several occassions we had to change our intended route, abandon plans, and even came home a day early. Alas, the rain had been predicated, but we had hoped it would stay away.
Please forgive the boiler-plate log, I assure you it is no reflection on the caching experience of our few days away. Thank you to all cache owners for their hides.
Quick find on the way into town.
Cheers

Our first post-lockdown caching run with steeba, Hoojar and Wilbert had been planned for months and whatya know it - we forgot to let the weather gods know our plans. NSW experienced torrential rain and chilling winds across most of the state, but that didn't stop us.
Thursday night saw us grab a few caches and dinner around Goulburn before starting down the back roads to Collector, but alas after enduring 2hrs of driving rain, winds that cut straight through us and finger numbing coldness we decided to cut our losses for the evening.
I'd found the original cache here, today we soon had this one and got rather wet in the process.

Well post-COVID restrictions (in 2021!), The Rats, Hoojar, Wilbert67 and I teamed up for an assault on the areas surrounding Canberra. Problem was the weather had other ideas so we ended up with a day in Canberra and chipping away at other caches around the edges, and came home a bit wet a day early.
Many great puzzles and hides on this trip.

Stopped by here on the way home from work as I needed a multi and a micro for today's self-imposed calendar challenges.
This one ticked both boxes so had to be cache of choice today. A nice quick gather of information and a short walk to GZ. I think I had more trouble rolling the log back up than actually making the find lol.
Thanks my_name_jeff_1.

This weekend was pretty quiet so the highlight of a freezing cold trip to Goulburn for a walk around the wetlands and a Christmas in July Celebration event was a highlight. I detoured on my way via Breadalbane for a Where-i-go.
There was bit of time for one of the new multis, so I stopped here and found the gold. Just as I was making the find I was joined by Tankengine and dty73.

Although Tankengine and I knew it was meant to be a chilly day with rain and wind, we needed a cache today.
So the allure of a Christmas in July Celebration Event, 3 x new caches and the cache type we needed today was just too great to ignore.
We started with the new caches finding the trio without issues, then cached around even picking up a great AL and bonus we needed then finished off with the event which was the highlight of the day.
This cache: Found with Tankengine and Albida33!!
We arrived to discover a familiar face. So I left the complicated maths to Albida to decipher and find the cache. Tftc my_name_jeff_1!!!

After leaving Canberra at 1:30pm and caching on country roads slowly meandering to Goulburn, we arrived at 4:30pm and all 4 of these multi's were still unfound. Pretty shocked considering the CITO event also began at 4:30pm, why weren't they found before the event by attendees?
So we decided to be late for the CITO in order to drive around Goulburn and attack these. We worked as a group to get them as quickly as possible and still managed to arrive at the CITO event 20 minutes before it ended, phew! That was when we realised why they were unfound, Albida was the only other person who showed up, besides the CO's of course!
Thanks Jeff for the fun, enjoying discovering the many milestone markers and remembrance memorials. We also enjoyed visiting the Rose Gardens, I remember the old traditional here was a bit tougher to find than this new cache, despite it being a multi! All multi's had accurate coordinates, hint's and calculations!

Myself, injuryman and sebass19 made plans to attend the CITO + Event in Goulburn this afternoon. We all finished work nice and early so headed off for some caching on this beautiful sunny day whilst we slowly made our way there!
A huge variety of caches including wherigo's, AL's, muti's, mystery's and a couple of brand new unfound caches which we had to race through during the event so we could still attend before it ended!
Thanks to all the CO's!

Loci612, Sebass19 and I were travelling up to Goulburn for the get together events this evening. We found many caches on the way up, and as we got closer to Goulburn these caches were still unclaimed. Figured we might as well give it a try and were able to claim a group [FTF] on all 4 multis!
Thanks for the fun!
