GZ cannot be accessed due to road works. As this could take a long time to complete, I am archiving this cache and will keep an eye on the area for a future cache.

Road blocked off both ends, so can't get to this one.

Cache is in the middle of road works. Road closed. From our view there was no 50 sign visible.

Out with GreyHams on a mostly nice sunny day. With the recent rain there was plenty of water lying about, the little car got, well... just a 'little' muddy! Thankfully though we stayed dry and clean enough! Wow, it was a long day that saw us cover a lot of distance, climb a few hills, and collect a lot of good quality caches along the way. Generally, most caches were found in good condition, all at the coordinates and dry although a few have not held up to the rain and were in poor or very wet condition.

Thanks for your cache that led to a good day out!

Find Number 6619

A nice easy find after working out the required coords at WP1.

Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for placing this cache

Arrived at the start to see two other cachers already gathering the information. After a bit of collaboration we came up with the final gz. Alas I headed off into the forest on the other side of the road but after a few hundred metres I decided this did not feel right. It was not ! I had not entered the figures correctly into the gz. Returned to the car, the others had probably driven to the correct gz.

Now off to Bradfordville to the gz. But nothing at gz, just grass. I don't believe it; I have written the gz down into the gps again incorrectly. !!!!

Third attempt finally nailed the blighter. TFTC.

We came along with ilook4geo to pick up some of the many multi caches, plus a couple of others, that are available in and around Goulburn. Our aim is to eventually gather 1000 multis and we still have quite a way to go. The ones chosen for this visit we hoped were going to be fairly quick to do and easy to find. There was no problem with this one and the log was signed before we moved on. Thanks go to my_name_jeff_1 for this cache placement.

Found with sui_001 on an epic cache for about of Goulburn today. Signed dsd or darksidedan or Adventure Boys or AB to save space in the log. Claimed 4 FTFs and 6 2TF today also. Thanks for the cache and the adventure.

We've had some great days in Goulburn and a few mixed ones with showers. Mornings are cold but it often improves during the day.
The caching has been excellent though with most hides in good order and a variety of types and hides with some puzzles we have been able to solve pre arrival. We have enjoyed quite a number of multis that have been straightforward and that we have had success with.
We have now completed 4 of the 5 Adventure Labs but remain stuck on one!

Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache my_name_jeff_1.

I'd picked up the info and calculated GZ for this one while doing a few other caches around town, then scooted out here for the find. It was a really easy find but tricky extraction - I had to go back to the car to get a tool!
Ultimately, the cache was extracted, signed and replaced in the same location, but hopefully in a manner that makes it a little easier for the next finder!

We planned a day or two in Goulburn, and sent a text to Rapidlywild to see if she could join us.
Sunday seemed to suit, so the target was - to find as many multi's as we could.

Rapidlywild came organised with pen and paper and the questions written out.
That made everything much easier, when solving.
Some gave us a few headaches, but after checking sums, we came out with the right numbers.

Most logs were signed as 'TDR' (for The Drovers & Rapidlywild), to save on time and space.
A big 'Thank You' to Rapidlywild for joining us, and making the day so much more fun.

A quick find, signed and replaced.
Many thanks for placing this cache, my_name_jeff_1, for us and others to find.

Recieved a text from The Drovers who had plans to venture around Goulburn for the day doing a spot of caching before the terrible weather hits on Monday. Yeah awesome, I have a few to collect in Goulburn so would be nice to get a few more smilies around the area.

The weather was rather brisk and the wind would rip right through our jackets/jumpers today but we kept on chasing those smilies. Our main targets today were multi caches as there seems to have been an explosion of them around the place since my last visit. We managed to do ok today, had issues with one of the multis which unfortunately resulted in a DNF, a trad which will need to be archived as the property is now a private residence and a few very wet logs which we replaced with dry log sheets.

Ahh another nice memorial and coordinates worked out for GZ. One thing I would suggest to the CO, some checksums on the multi's would assist finders to prevent possible calculation errors or even a inbuilt coordinate checker. Coordinates can be easily messed up on multi's by a single digit and can send the finder on a wild goose chase, so a checksum could prevent that. Just a thought.

Once at GZ, cache located, signed and replaced as found. Most of todays logs were signed as "TDR" for The Drovers Rapidlywild to save space on the logs. Time to head home.

Thanks for the hides my_name_jeff_1 Big Grin And thanks to The Drovers for a fun day out and about around Goulburn [^].

After collecting the required information went and found the cache. With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache container and log are in good condition. This weeks midweek caching outing was a drive to Goulburn for the CITO and dinner event. A nice day, much better than last time, so there was a good cleanup at the top of the hill. I stopped on the way for two multis and just before dinner, I did the new Virtual on the main street.

#12802 - 9:37:00 AM; Out with Sol de lune on our first joint caching mission for the New Year. Headed back to Goulburn to continue our efforts in and around the city. After a visit to the airport, we headed along Boxers Creek Road for a mini series, then collected a couple more on our way back to town, including this one. Gathered the required information on our last visit, so came armed with coords today. This one was wedged in, but managed to extract it and add our names to the log. TFTC my_name_jeff_1 Smile

Out with LuckyL10n for a morning run to Goulburn and after a few caches along Boxers Creek road we headed back towards town and down for this one. We had worked out GZ on a previous trip and once at GZ today LL jumped out of the car and soon had the cache in hand.
Well, when I say soon I mean a few good minutes. Someone had jammed the cache into it's hidey hole pretty well and the old the pen trick didn't work. A stiff piece of grass also wasn't helping, but in the end good old fashion determination work and the cache was in hand. Log was signed, cache replaced and we were off for one more (ladder climb) before heading home.

Thanks for this one as well my name is jeff 1......

It was a last minute discussion to go for a drive to attend this event. Purely because one of the team is going a little stir crazy being stuck at home and not being about to get around like they are used to.

Had a bit of time to kill so wandered off to do a couple of multi's nice memorials around the place.

Thanks for the multi and hide my_name_jeff_1

After a better night sleep at Condor I am ready for the important day. Hopefully the weather is going to be better than the last few days. Into Namadgi today for an event and a walk. This will put me on 20000 !! Woohoo, good milestone that I am proud of. After that caching my way home for a good night sleep in a bed.

A few days caching in the ACT and surrounds with Steeba, Wilbert67 and The Rats, another trip away like countless others that we have done before. We got the dates, we did the planning, we worked out a route. But there was one thing that we could not plan for; the weather.

The caches were excellent. The company faultless. The weather; atrocious. Rain, rain, rain. And then more rain. On several occassions we had to change our intended route, abandon plans, and even came home a day early. Alas, the rain had been predicated, but we had hoped it would stay away.

Please forgive the boiler-plate log, I assure you it is no reflection on the caching experience of our few days away. Thank you to all cache owners for their hides.

Cheers

Our first post-lockdown caching run with steeba, Hoojar and Wilbert had been planned for months and whatya know it - we forgot to let the weather gods know our plans. NSW experienced torrential rain and chilling winds across most of the state, but that didn't stop us.

Saturday's weather didnt show signs of improvement and our enthusiam for getting wet n cold was waning. We changed our plans a number of times before opting for an early finish to our weekend, but before another handful of finds ibetween Collector and Goulburn.

Really enjoying the rememberance series

Although Tankengine and I knew it was meant to be a chilly day with rain and wind, we needed a cache today.

So the allure of a Christmas in July Celebration Event, 3 x new caches and the cache type we needed today was just too great to ignore.

We started with the new caches finding the trio without issues, then cached around even picking up a great AL and bonus we needed then finished off with the event which was the highlight of the day.

This cache: Quick to solve and quick to find. Just took a little to get out with cold fingers so used a pair of pliers. Tftc my_name_jeff_1!!!

25,004. These are lovely memorials all around Goulburn. Well worth stopping and looking at.

minniek and I helped jeff plan, put out and set up this cache, and now that the first to find has gone - well done to Loci, injuryman and sebass - I am claiming the find. I recommend doing the series when you can.

**This Cache**

After leaving Canberra at 1:30pm and caching on country roads slowly meandering to Goulburn, we arrived at 4:30pm and all 4 of these multi's were still unfound. Pretty shocked considering the CITO event also began at 4:30pm, why weren't they found before the event by attendees?

So we decided to be late for the CITO in order to drive around Goulburn and attack these. We worked as a group to get them as quickly as possible and still managed to arrive at the CITO event 20 minutes before it ended, phew! That was when we realised why they were unfound, Albida was the only other person who showed up, besides the CO's of course!

Thanks Jeff for the fun, enjoying discovering the many milestone markers and remembrance memorials. We also enjoyed visiting the Rose Gardens, I remember the old traditional here was a bit tougher to find than this new cache, despite it being a multi! Razz All multi's had accurate coordinates, hint's and calculations!

Myself, injuryman and sebass19 made plans to attend the CITO + Event in Goulburn this afternoon. We all finished work nice and early so headed off for some caching on this beautiful sunny day whilst we slowly made our way there!

A huge variety of caches including wherigo's, AL's, muti's, mystery's and a couple of brand new unfound caches which we had to race through during the event so we could still attend before it ended! Razz

Thanks to all the CO's!

Loci612, Sebass19 and I were travelling up to Goulburn for the get together events this evening. We found many caches on the way up, and as we got closer to Goulburn these caches were still unclaimed. Figured we might as well give it a try and were able to claim a group [FTF] on all 4 multis!

Thanks for the fun!
