Appropriate we had a cuppa with Duncan before coming out here what a lovely, peaceful spot. Enjoying two weeks on Norfolk Island always wanted to visit, now Im here! And theres caches of course! Beautiful place, thank you Pagenz for placing this game piece here, showcasing this lovely area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
We had to face a few spider to get to the log, but @CaitlinTW isnt (too) afraid. Thank you for the cache!
A balmy winters day and a good walk before finding. The tree critters had us looking in the wrong direction once once we got past the spiders, we had cache in hand.
We spent a fun and productive week geocaching on Norfolk Island, as well as seeing the spectacular views. We also did several tours and other activities on offer, which highlighted different aspects of the island life and history. Thanks for this cache.
Found it with goingplaces2 & ilook4geo while on a 7 day epic trip with 33 other caches exploring this beautiful Island. Thanks to the CO for the cache.
Found during a week of geocaching on Norfolk Island with GeoMates. It was a successful week and an adventurous one. Thanks go to Pagenz for placing this cache.

#7599 NI Day #4Having rounded up all the caches around the Cascades area earlier in the morning, it was time to work our way up the west coast. After the new WIG, we ventured into the 100 acre woods to collect a number of caches. What a fantastic spot for a stroll. Our group of 30+ Aussie cachers was also very well looked after by Duncan so this is a fitting way to say thank you.TFTC Pagenz
My buddies: bella at waggy & the 2079 coupleNorfolk is gorgeous! The spot was also ideal with soft toys in the wild! How cute!Thank you N.I.V., for creating, placing and maintaining this cache. I have enjoyed finding it and visiting this spot.Follow my story on Instagram @AlphaDeltaIndigo
Now I liked this puzzle - something I solved all by myself at home on one of Sydney's frequent torrential wet days.I'd had this reserve recommended to me as a great spot to find birds so I was keen to come here. And I did spot some sea birds very close to the shore here. We parked our convoy of cars and headed down into the reserve. We spotted some local workers and wouldn't you know it, they had just painted the seat - so no rest for us here!It would be a lovely spot to sit and contemplate nature. The cache was carefully found so as not to touch the seat. I liked Teddy resting in a nearby tree. TFTC # 6031
Headed to the 100 acre wood area with ADI to head to Rocky Point. Crossed paths with Crash and Harveyt a few times in this great forest and views at the end. A quick find and soft toy friends about. We completed the signing duties and re hid, TFTC
#7476- I solved this one before leaving Sydney for our trip. A wander through a lovely shaded bit of forest to find this cache in the obvious spot. The stuffed animals in the trees nearby were very cute too. Thanks so much to the CO for everything he has done for me and the whole group before and since we arrived. A beautiful spot for you to rest. Thanks
MummyPenny uncovered this after a bit of gardening work. We signed, returned and continued exploring the reserve. Thanks Pagenz.
Found in a clearing in this nice forested area. Continued walking to some more amazing views. ?? TFTC Pagenz
A great spot to rest and contemplate geocaching. Found with ItsDozzie, Ziggyau, Everest High, Tardis, Max Adventurer and Brewmaker. TFTC.
Entering this beautiful reserve was like finding another ecosystem entirely. A very special place. Cache found quickly with our subset of geocachers.
#14381 15:05The second day of Geo Adventure 2024 with a group of 30+ geocachers visiting Norfolk Island. Roaming around the island for a few days, a smaller group decided to tackle some caches in the South West first.Together with 4Rods, Ziggau, Everest High, Tardis, Max Adventurer and Brewmaker this cache was found. What a great place in a beautiful reserve. The local cacher Endeavour3 has been a wonderful host who was just as excited about our tour as we were. A logical place to say "Thank you" to him for all the maintenance he is doing for our enjoyment.TFTC Pagenz and Endeavour3!
What a fabulous forest, As soon as you enter , you are greeted by majestic trees. I found the cache buried under grass clippings. Needed a stick to dig it out.
Day 5 of my Norfolk Island adventure. I can understand why people want to live here . Its a little bit of paradise. Wow so much history on the island, Im enjoying my wandering seeing the sites . Some logs signed as N2OThis is my 12110find.Thankyou Pagenz for placing and maintaining this cache
Had calculated the coordinates before leaving Sydney, and now it was time to go and get the cache.
My first find today as I aspire to remain Norfolk Island's top cache finder. A great place for a rest. Now I wonder who this creature is?
Perfect day for a hike! Found No.18 of my 2023 NI adventure, another big thanks to Portstevo on the mainland for his assistance, happy new car day Portstevo!!! Tftc, Duncan looks like he's seen better days!
Over with IolantheK from Brisbane celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary [^]Out for another day of caching up the west side of the island.Nice easy find, cache in good condition [^]TFTC N.I.V.
T-Tech and I are visiting Norfolk Island for our 40th anniversary. We arrived from Brisbane and are staying for 2 weeks at Endeavour Lodge, and plan to get some R&R, see all of the sites, learn the history, and gather every cache here so we can claim the Se Dun Challenge Today we had a leisurely start with a visit to the Show followed by a wander through town and a coffee at our favourite cafe. The plan for the rest of the day is to visit Bombora Beach, Crystal Pool, 100 Acre Wood, Headstone Point and St Barnabas Church, gathering caches along the way.Duncan is our host too so this one definitely needed smilie-fying! It's a lovely area for a wander, and we had no trouble making the find. TFTC, Pagenz.
Found this morning on a walk through the lovely wood. Signed Dem CBR for the Canberra Group. Tftc

Zoom zoom zooming around in Kermit (green not red) Logging as DEMCBR.Fantastic weather, warm and sunny after chilly temps when leaving home. This was a quick and easy find and here at Duncan's Rest today. Thanks so much for the many caches Pagenz and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light
# 8928 Norfolk Day 2, myself, iPlod65, Joolay, barb2e and contesta had a fantastic day of caching and exploration. There are so many wonderful locations here on Norfolk.A quick find here. Some logs signed collectively "Dem CBR".Thanks N.I.V. for the Mystery Cache
A new day, a new area to discover on the island. No sign of Pooh Bear, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger or any of the likely suspects you'd expect to inhabit this patch of bushland... A lovely cool morning for a walk though, so it was perfect for a stroll through here.
Not far to GZ from where Mrs. Gunnie and I parked and on arrival, the container was quickly located and retrieved. I etched my name in the log, replaced the cache as found and we continued the loop around the woods.
Absolutely agree that the namesake of this cache is a gentleman of the game who gladly gives up his time. A worthy recipient of a dedication cache.
Cheers N.I.V.

Puzzle solved before leaving home. Today we found the cache on a walk through this beautiful parkland. TFTC
Another one solved during yesterday's storm. Very pleasant walk in, a few branches down, and some branches draped over GZ. Cache OK though, thanks for the cache.
Duncan hides so many caches, he deserves a rest. Weird animals also dwell nearby.
Thanks for making this a more enjoyable walk.

A nice place for Duncan to rest, solved puzzle before leaving home. After scratching around found something that shouldn't be there, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO

Hurray!!! All found. And what a great one to finish on. Not only because of its naming after the great local cacher who looks after us all so well, but it is also my 14500th find. A coincidence you say? Not likely! A huge thanks to endeavour3 for all the help and enjoyment he gives us visitors to this beautiful island.
A quick find, sign and replacement.

On 15 October 2022 a new batch of prisoners were shipped out of Brisbane to spend 7 days incarcerated on Norfolk Island. It has now been 3 nights and 4 days into their sentence at Ocean Breeze Cottages.
The prisoners have made several unsuccessful attempts to find escape routes from the Island. This morning they were surveying the western parts of the Island.
Fortunately a long term prisoner on the island Duncan was always there to provide comfort and assistance to the new arrivals. The new Australian convict enjoyed a couple caching chats over coffee during the period of imprisonment on NI.
A mower guard was working nearby today. This required some stealth by the prisoner to avoid detection.

TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. Such a beautiful area on a sunny day
A really beautiful and peaceful spot, totally deserted today while we made a quick find. TFTC

Time to head to Norfolk Island to celabrate our 70th birthdays. When we were here before we were not geocachers, this visit will be spent gathering geocaches and revisiting our favourite places. Our appologies for the generic logs it does not take away the enjoyment we have found in the fantastic places they have been placed and all the different styles of caches that we are enjoying,

We had a couple of hours free this morning, so the whole family went caching. We planned to do more, but had to contend with heavy rain at times, so changed plans as we went, managing 5 finds and a trig.
After a DNF on the triffid we headed off into the reserve. It was raining quite steadily by now, but still quite pleasant in here.... We found the cache without any trouble- the log was wet and not signable though, see our photo please... TFTC

After having some breakfast, the family and I decided to go on a little cache drive before Mum had a work meeting. After parking out the front of the reserve, we walked in while it was pouring rain, then we quickly found the cache once we arrived at GZ!

Out caching with joojoo57, 2 Wagtails and endeavour 3 on an overcast afternoon on Norfolk Island. We did 3 caches in this area which took us through the bush along tracks until we canme to a lookout with great views. Found cache and signed log. TFTC N.I.V.
This afternoon we ventured out after lunch to grab a few more caches along the headlands and coastline. Fantastic scenery was in abundance and while at the 100 acre reserve we observed some noisy birdlife. Thanks for placing a cache in this area.
This arvo we met up with Joojoo57, Richmond Lad and endeavour3 to find three caches in the 100 Acre Reserve.
It was a lovely walk and this cache was the first along the trail. Joojoo57 made a quick find here. We all signed the log and we were on our way to the next.
Thank you for the cache and adding more fun to our day.

Cache was so dirty it was very well camouflaged.. We almost gave up but a bit more poking and there it was.
Nice spot in here, took a little to uncover the cache but got it.
Trip log: Norfolk Island... Not something we had been planning to do but with GreyHams noticing travel here was starting up again, a good deal on flights and that this would count as a new caching 'country' this was indeed a very tempting location to visit.
Puzzles were solved, our double vaccinations certificates ready to go. A last minute change in the entry requirements added our PCR tests... but we arrived.
We had a challenge to collect as many of the caches as we could in the 48 hours we would be on the Island... A caching trip, but one that guided us around into every hidden gem the Island had to offer. All its beauty, history, scenic and quirky... and moisture! Humidity that sucked the energy out of every pore as we sweated our way about, but it was awesome!
An event the first evening was fantastic to meet with endeavour3, a wealth of local knowledge and assistance... both caching and the local area. It was great to confirm details, amend as needed and with a few DNFs help us back on track.
An honourable mention to the cows, especially the one that licked all over the car, the feral chickens (but not the roosters that wake up far to early and noisily) and the very friendly waving people everywhere we went!
Thanks for your cache that helped guide us about, and can all the caches be found within 48 hours... I'm very pleased to say that yes we could!

Aquilus1 and myself were on a mission: Go to Norfolk Island and clear the place out in 48 hours! This we achieved as we arrived well prepared, having ground out the puzzles (some with assistance) so that we had coords for nearly all hides before leaving Australia.
Brain tickler test & vaccination certificates in hand, we were shocked on arrival that our Australian mobiles had no roaming coverage....NONE! But, thankfully it seems most accommodation not only comes with a car, but comes with a phone as well.
I swear we did at least 5 laps of the island, I knew my way around very well by the end. NI is such a beautiful place, I am coming back with the family in a month and I already know exactly where I will take them.
On our first day we hosted an event and thankfully the local legend cacher, endeavour3, graced us with his presence. Some sage advice on the trickiest of NI hides was gladly received
And, it has to be said......OMG THE HUMIDITY!!! Canberra has none at all, it was a major shock to the system!

Enjoyed this puzzle a lot and great to give some recognition to our host extraordinaire! We were so lucky to have our caching holiday to Norfolk Island work out for us. I love it there and will definitely be back when I can. Many thanks for the puzzle and the hide, Pagenz.

We were with the CO on a very enjoyable visit to Norfolk Island when this cache was placed. We have solved the puzzle and been given permission to log a find. Thanks to Duncan for so helpfully and graciously hosting us during our stay. Thanks for the cache and the chance to relive memories of that wonderful trip.
Have received permission to log this excellent puzzle. As part of the group that visited Norfolk Island, in what seems like a life time ago I am sure Duncan needed a rest after we had all gone back to NZ. Pretty sure he would love to see is back, as we would love to return but current restrictions do not allow any sort of travel overseas, let alone out of Auckland. Every part of Norfolk Island is beautiful and this particular resting spot is pretty special. Many thanks Pagenz for not only placing this cache but organising the trip to Norfolk Island. We were so lucky to go.
