Swapped out the damaged container and full log for a fresh new one. Dropped off the TB Key trackable which opens https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC7EN23_rrpt-tb-key-cache?guid=bc670fb5-6d6a-4073-9038-9366ec074069

A good AL and nice themed final.Found it SL. Enjoying a caching holiday in Townsville with mackay_geocaching. Thanks to the COs for the puzzles that they have created and brain strain to solve them. Puzzles mostly been solved prior to this visit. Happy New Year fellow cachers.
On the trip to Townsville from Emerald, we stopped in some towns along the way.Enjoyed with labs and interesting. Here's one to find today.Thank you for placing the cache burgo78.
Neat little history lesson on townsville. Well done, fitting on the container well done
Caching in the area we pick up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Once collected the required info we headed off to GZ and made a quick find, a fitting container for this series. Enjoyed exploring the area, cache and contents were in good condition.

A second Ad Lab for the day and a calm and pleasant walk around, starting from the bottom. Soon had what was needed and headed where indicated for a nice quick and easy find by knottsav.
A weekend of sporadic caching opportunities with work and tasks being interspersed through that time. Managed to get put a couple of times today, not huge numbers but enough to get me within 4 of my 16k target for this visit to QLD. Two more Ad Labs completed, and their bonus ? accompanying caches. Thanks to all COs for their caches, and the fun involved with finding.

Apologies for the late log here (27.12.23) but I've had a busy time since getting back to the UK.People were taking a guided tour of the graveyard as I zipped about, but they were well away when I went for this cache, which was quickly spotted, nicely hidden. A fun challenge in an interesting area; thank you.TNLN-TFTC!SP (UK) on an epic trek right around the world.
Walking through a graveyard is always peaceful, with so much history and love.
Haha I like the container, well done, fav from me

Today I had a last minute unexpected FIFO trip to Townsville to take care of some family business. The cheapest (and most tiring) way to visit, was the red eye flight from Brisbane this morning and the 9.10 pm flight return to Brisbane in the evening. Family time aside, this provided a full day caching in Townsville !
It was really hot this afternoon, so after finishing up with the family business and grabbing a cache in the heat at Kirwan, I headed to the shopping centre air conditioning for some lunch. Afterwards, I braved the heat again for walk through the West End cemetery collecting the Adlab and this bonus.
I used to live close by for a year or two in the early 90's, so I had wandered around here a few times before.
Once the clues were obtained, I headed to GZ where there was a very thoughtful chairs in the shade for me to sign the logbook. The 'lid' of the outer container here is damaged, but otherwise this was in good shape.
Many thanks burgo78

In the Townsville area with Selva Girls to pick up some solved puzzles, Challenge caches and anything else that gets in the way. We found an interesting collection of caches in some nice areas and this was one of them. Tree climbs, tree fishing and hanging off rocks, all part of the fun.
Enjoyed the lab cache and then made a quick find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy.

Konie and I completed the lab cache, then, with final coords worked out, we headed to GZ. There was a muggle seated right there! We hung around for a bit, making it obvious that we weren't going anywhere, so they moved on. Then we could search. Konie found the cache in the first place he looked. Logbook signed, cache returned to its spot, then we continued on our way. TFTC
We enjoyed the walk around the cemetery and we learned a lot about the pioneers, the choice of materials and the symbols.
Thanks for organising this.

Our last full day back in Townsville after a few days on Magnetic Island. We are feeling a bit lazy and tired on this windy day knowing that we are heading back to Tassie tomorrow. There are so many caches to choose from and it’s hard to decide which ones to do! We haven’t been up Castle Hill on this trip yet so we decided to head that way first.
A nice quick AL in a very quiet area. An appropriate outer container.

A side trip while in Townsville to come and visit this historic place.
While we were there, we stopped to talk to someone who was cleaning and clearing a grave site. It was an old grave site so we stopped to ask her if this was an historic family member?
She told us that indeed it was, but because this person had descended from the Black sheep in the family, it was recent news that there was a connection here for her, but she had decided that the family ties were worth maintaining, even after death.
We chatted for a while and she was very keen to share her story.
In truth, every cemetery holds so many stories and we often wonder about the history we read in these places.
Great AL and bonus.
Thanks Burgo78

Not sure what day we did this one but found the details of the hide in our "found" notes. We visit a lot of cemeteries between Geoturtle's family history research and caching so we were more than happy to be here. Thanks for the ad lab and this bonus final cache, also for the great cache container.
Day 7 in Townsville for the Mega. Our final day and we had just enough time after an early morning event and checkout to grab a few more caches. We’ve always loved wandering cemeteries so this one called to us. This one is particularly neat and tidy with really well looked after headstones. Thanks for giving us a tour. It was a short walk to GZ after we had finished the AL and the appropriately themed container was found after a short search. Thanks burgo78

The day was well and truly warming up which made the walk around the cemetery a little hotter than desired, but that's the price you pay for gathering icons I guess. Ghostgums and I visited each of the labs and secured the all important clues for this one, before finding some shade to set the final location into the gadgets. [^]
Off to GZ, the container quickly came to Ghostgums' hand and he added our names to the log. All done and with the cache back in place, we headed back to the city for a few more.
Cheers burgo78.

27,801. Found with minniek during our Grand Townsville Trek up to CacheQLD's Townsville Mega Event over Easter.
Day 11 of our Townsville Trek, and we were having a ball caching around Townsville ! Today we did a few caches around Townsville, then did a drive up north to tick off a few more Counties, then back to Townsville for more caches. We started off by doing this neat Adventure Lab. The bonus was - um - a bonus ! Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on our list.
Thanks burgo78 !!

Found as part of the Qld Cache mega event weekend in Townsville over Easter 2022. Joined forces with Gunnie69 after flying up from Brisbane to tackle a variety of caches around the Townsville area including three GeoArt series, other puzzles and a few labs! I would like to thank all the cache owners who are making this an enjoyable weekend!
Today it was heading out to James Cook University and then back towards to the centre of town, before seeing Gunnie69 off as he headed back to Brisbane

Day 11 of our trek to the Townsville Mega and back with fitzy_1965 and two of my geo-kids Death_killer & my_name_jeff_1.
Today is our last day in Townsville. We cleaned up as many of the caches we wanted to do before leaving tomorrow. This included heading a bit further North to grab a couple more counties. A lot of driving but a satisfying day. We signed some challenges, did a bit of fishing, and collected a number of adventure labs along the way.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. Thanks to all the CO’s.
I really enjoyed this cemetery. Thanks so much for bringing us here today.

Out and about with chamad today collecting a few caches around Townsville. The plan was to focus on the labs and some targeted puzzles which I had solved for my trip last year and didn't quite get to collect. We also included some awesome tree fishing caches which we found along the way.
After wandering around the cemetery to complete the lab, we had the information we needed to collect the bonus. Funny thing was my phone said 100m in one direction, chamad's phone said 66m in the other direction. It's time I got a new phone!
A great afternoon finding some fantastic caches!
Thanks burgo78 for the cache.

Today was a slow start, it was a catch up on some logging and then work out a plan for the day. It was 12 noon before we even thought of moving, lol. Ok, so we had a plan to collect some tree fishing caches and do grab a few as we drove past. There was a couple of challenge caches to sign and a lab bonus to collect. It may be a late start but we were still going to grab a bag load of caches.
It was a tree fishing afternoon, so many caches in this little area and all of them requiring a pole. Some were easy finds and some just requiring you to be at the right angle. There were even different versions of the model.
With logs signed and caches replaced as found, we continued on our walk around. Thank you to all the CO’s for the placements, all caches in good condition today. Oh a random in the mix of it all.

During the Easter long weekend, it was all about the Townsville Mega event! Highlights included a hike at Cape Pallarenda Conservation Peak, walks atop the local mountains of Mount Stuart, Castle Hill, and Mount Louisa, checking out a few shady spots along Ross River, sewer pipe / tunnel adventures, and a scuba dive to see the Museum of Underwater Art at John Brewer Reef. The Mega events themselves were fantastic: Gadget lab caches, GPS maze, trivia night, tree planting CITO, and Cal's Escape Room. There was also plenty of geocaching to be had, such as power trailing through the geoarts The Saint and the Book, and the collection of challenge caches at Bushland Beach mudflats. My view of Townsville had completely changed from my trip experience, and much kudos to the Cache Qld Townsville Mega Committee.
Following our visit north of Rowes Bay which included Pallarenda, we decided to spend the rest of the morning heading up to Castle Hill, hoping to use the current moderate temperature before the heat and humidity would set in the afternoon (or on another day). After making a stop halfway up, we then parked at the summit's lookout, and then admired the views of Townsville. We then took a descent down the hill, and proceeded to walk around its base along the trails.
During our walk, we took a detour and stop at the cemetery in order to complete the *Life, Death & Memorialisation in Early Townsville* Adventure Lab. It was a pretty cool tour around the cemetery. We then took a short walk to GZ nearby, and found the cache reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. We decided to sign the geocache as DWEG1 (Davidwazza and e.gregory1) to save space in the logbook. Thanks burgo78 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Up in Townsville for the MEGA with Sharpe m and slow puncture . All the log books were signed SSQ to save room. We decided to do the Lab cache with 45 minutes left until the cemetery was due to close. We enjoyed the walk around and then continued to find this bonus where we found an apt cache. Giving to a FP for all the fun

Townsville Mega 2022. Sunday. After completing the nearby AL which was a really nice one to do and recommend this one to anyone looking for a nice, shortish (time-wise) AL to do in a lovely area, we headed off to grab the bonus cache. A wee bit of searching and some people walking past us but we soon had the cache in hand. Log signed under our caching name for the weekend of SSQ for the Mega event.
This was the 4th of 74 caches found on this outing.
Thanks ***burgo78*** for showing us this place

Found while in Townsville to attend the Mega event.
I travelled up from Adelaide, taking a week or so so get here, meeting up with FeatherWaite to do some caching around the Cunnamulla area then continuing on to Barcaldine and Charters Towers.
While in Townsville I teamed up with Budgietas, Stainless-steel-rat and Gooseandegg on some days, including a day on Magnetic Island, and with Davidwazza at other times. When caching with Davidwazza, logbooks were signed DWEG1.
All in all it was a terrific week or so in Townsville, with plenty of great caches found.

Our second find, early today as we didn't want to be wandering around the graves later in the heat. Got the answers and found the crafty container. Thanks burgo78.
Quick find after the AL.
We met with another family who knew a lot of the history of this cemetery.
They told us how the graves across the dry river area were all the non christian and foreign people. Most of the headstones have since been washed away and most had no names as there were slaves.

It’s Mega time once again!! Woo hoo!! Love these epic road trips and a wonderful Mega event. Managed to cache with loads of different people throughout the long weekend - such a fun way to cache! Have signed as SCG, X, Snag, Capital crunchers, NRC, Nibletricecakes, Minifigas, Minifig or some combination of the above! Thanks to everyone in the region for the top quality caching. Appreciate your efforts planting and maintaining these caches.
Great Northern escape 2022 Day 8. Townsville Mega section Day 8. Mega Day 1. Easter has arrived and the town is quiet. There was a plan to try the Breaking bad walk today, but that fell apart due to some planning issues and a possibility the park was closed. What's more, it was hot. Instead Smitten Granny, Gliss!, Nibletricecakes and I toured around town doing Labs and interesting caches we had solved or had peaked our interest during planning. The evening was the welcome to Mega event alongside some amazing gadget caches, followed by some impromptu night caching with Cosmonaut97.
The walk around the cemetery was interesting and it was great there was an attached bonus cache nearby.

I flew up to Townsville yesterday with SnappyTomCats. I looked forward to chatting up with geo-buddies and finding some caches.
We started early this morning to grab a few caches before heading for the start of the Townsville Mega event. This Adventure Lab cache was our first one for the day. We met some cachers from the ACT & had a chat before continuing on to complete it with some other cachers. The great thing about Mega events is you tend to bump into cachers in the weirdest of places. We calculated the bonus & headed to GZ where the cool cache was located quickly, now onto the Mega opening.

Mr Crackers was on Magnetic Island having a lovely time cruising around the bays picking up a few caches whilst Mrs Crackers stayed behind to try and get some work done.
A phone call to alansee and The Morris soon put paid to that idea and she joined them for a few hours very pleasurable caching before she returned to the computer and the accounts that needed to be processed.
There was time to do this lab before I really had to get back to our accommodation to do some work so off we went. We enjoyed our stroll around the cemetery picking up the points and then made our way to gz where the well themed cache was found and our names were added to the log.
We always say, any cache that brings a smile to your face deserves a favourite point so we are leaving one behind
Thanks burgo78 for the cache

This morning we visited the cemetry to complete the AL that was here.
The questions were all easy to find & the information gathered.
The cache container was suitably themed & worthy of a FP.
Thanks for placing this cache

Day 2 of our Townsville Mega event weekend. Out and about with hevwalker we spent most of the day at GZ doing gadget Labs, Escape rooms and socialising!..The rest of the day we managed to do a few more AdLabs and traditional caches. This was the bonus for the Adlab that we did before going to GZ. We bumped into a few ACT Friends and new friends. I'm surprised the residents didn't complain about all the hooting and hollorin'! A beautiful very well kept cemetary. TFTC and a fav for the bonus! .
After spending yesterday out on the Island, the target today was as many ALs as possible with a few others thrown in for good luck. So it was that Nibletricecakes Albida33 , GLISS! and I set off to become conquering heroes. All caches were found to be in excellent condition so were signed as NAGS or some such combination.
These caches were extraordinary in their variety and creativity. Huge thanks to all COS for the incredible effort that has gone into the creation and placement of both the ALs and caches.

We enjoyed the walk around the pioneer cemetery, collecting clues from the information that we read. With the required digits in hand we made our way to the final and were rewarded with a well themed cache container. Thanks Burgo for this Adventure Lab and the final.

So excited to be attending my second MEGA and to fly
to a destination for fun! And return to the tropics in an equally long time
Great to meet new faces and to spend caching time with some familiar cachers as well.Find #5422
A few days ahead to explore this beautiful hot city. So much caching on offer, and apologies for the generic log.
And so it goes, just happy to pick up caches such as this one. Thanks to burgo78 for putting out and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment!

I don't think the childhood fear of Church St cemetery will ever leave me! A gorgeous walk around the area and lots of interesting history. Followed by a quick find at GZ. Perfect AL imo! Tftc
Found by Mary and David, in company with pprass, at 10:45. Normally you could leave M at a place like this all day. Met a cemetery volunteer, who didn't know abut caching, but was interested in the Labs and now knows to expect a lot of visitors this weekend. A FP for the container and contents. Our thanks to burgo78.
After a wander though the cemetery completing the lab, I made a quick find here. Thanks for the cache
