Found with LittleBoss2 as we headed down to Shepp for the day. Parked the car on the opposite side of the gulley and decided to do this little circuit on foot. Quick find here, thanks Craig

Out exploring the area and enjoying a walk along the river. Totally amazed by the evidence of how high the flood must have been.

Lovely hide

26-Apr-24
After the Tatura event, I took the deadly treadly to The Flats in Shepparton-Mooroopna.I had ridden some of these when they first came out, but had not come back for the newer ones.Today was the day. A lovely mild day for a ride. All the tracks and trails were dry, although the thistles were head high.I initially park the car near Little and Cemetery Roads intersection and unloaded the bike.I ride clockwise around to #47, then went back to the car for lunch. In the afternoon I moved down to the other end of Cemetery Road to try the eastern caches.A lot of walking to get to some of the caches. Thanks for this series, Robmc.

10:53A couple of days in Shepparton, gave the caravan a run & put us close to the Central Victorian Annual Get Together on Thursday. We spent a couple of days searching for the hidden Moor-Shepp gems, mostly by bike & we will return for those we missed, perhaps the water will be gone. It was good to find those with fresh logs this time.A BIG thank you to the CO who placed this series of caches.36882

Nice cache, great idea. Glad to find it. Thanks

22-Mar-24
Missing cache replaced post floods. Now good to go.

16-Mar-24
After a good look under, and on top of and in every hidey hole of that giant log, we have to report a DNF. Another flood has occurred since the last finder in March 2023! A check by the CO would be appreciated. This was the first cache we looked for in this area today. A disappointing result, as it some years since we have attempted this series. Onwards to #26

02-Mar-24
Today we decided to explore how far we could take the GeoCruiser exploring the Moor-Shepp Hidden Gem Trail. Boy the flooding has made a mess of the tracks in here. Those we tackled we were able to drive to within 150mts today.Sadly a DNF for us here today.

02-Mar-23
The first of 2 caches in this big series.
Only time for a quick stop for 2 of them.
Cute hiding spot and method.
Cheers

12-Feb-23
Headed out today to reach the milestone of 80 caches...
I am now aiming to reach 120 by the end of February.
Not as hot as the forecasters predicted. Nice breeze and not overly hot.
Geodog loved this one, climbing and jumping around like a weirdo.
On a mission.

S 36° 21.743 E 145° 20.989

Coordinates changed to:
S 36° 21.733 E 145° 20.994

Distance from original: 65.5 feet or 20.0 meters.

Recent flooding of the Goulburn River between Shepparton and Mooroopna has seen a major change in the landscape. I was amazed to see the log this cache was in that was originally across the creek bed has moved 20 metres. When you see the size of the log you too will be amazed. Anyway the cache is in the same hidey hole as before just 20 metres from the original location.

With the floodwaters between Shepparton and Mooroopna beginning to recede I expect most if not all of the Moor-Shepp Hidden Gem Series caches to either be washed away or full of water so I am disabling all until I've had the opportunity to inspect and replace. This may take some months as the area is still not accessible and there are 48 to check.

09-Oct-22
Was planning to go out along these trails to find the rest of these caches. But it’s a tad bit flooded I hope the caches survive this.

Found it

Have a 50th Birthday in Shepp so decided to make a weekend o it and grab some caches. The wetness of the day didn't stop us from finding this nicely hidden cache. TFTC

28-Jul-22
This is my 2nd bite at this "Moor-Shepp Hidden Gem" Series during my stay at Shepparton with a Life-Long Bestie for about 6 weeks. 17 hides added to my grab in a planned loop, today Cool
The day was still and cool Smile not icy and windy Sad

I love this tree-forest walk as it is a pleasant way to build up my daily step-count with no Muggles to be a hinderance, if you don't count the birds Big Grin

I started at M-SHG #27 through to #39 then across to #23 - #26.
Pls note: all caches were in good condition and their log books were dry Cool

Cache #27 was found and logged at 10:23 on Thursday the 28th of July 2022.

Fun find! Awesome! Out and about on trusty treadles aka the MTB exploring the trails and the impressive river red gum forest. Chipping away at a few caches with each trip to Shep visiting daughter who now lives here. Trails in good nic given it’s winter. TFTC and the fun!

12-Jan-22
TFTC. We are staying on the are for a few days prior to the mega in Wangaratta. Teaming up with Liz and Bruce and muff1 we spent the day exploring around the area caching as we went.
We stayed flexible with our caching plans. We headed down to the flats to,try our luck we were driving. Parts of the track were ok but some were not passable in the car. We did what we could without damaging anything.

12-Jan-22
Thanks for arranging and hiding. We are enjoying exploring the area and completing the series. Good balance required.

12-Dec-21
#4762 A quick trip across to Shepp today to walk a few more of this series with the geohounds. We managed 10 finds and 6kms exercise before pulling the pin due to heat and hunger.

Mrs BGF spied this one first after we both checked quite a few hidey spots. The hide location you chose was definitely the best one here and good bit of fun to get to. TFTC The Blind Side.

Very fun cache to find thank you

02-Aug-21
Thank you again The Blind Side for continuing to provide us local's with caches close to home that we can search for without travelling too far in these uncertain times. I particularly like the variety and mix of hides, in a limited area for choice. We being dalerious and I, had a chance to come out today a bag a few more, leaving some for 'ron. All caches found in good condition. Keep them coming

02-Aug-21
Oh yes. Now I see why locus cache rang us up to "invite" us out to "share the FTF experience" that night. TwistedWink I must say she did very well to get her name in this log book by herself. [:o] [^]

OK, so Catnap777 and I were no longer in the hunt for FTFs (we were way too comfy at home the nights they came out), but with a bit of time to kill between jobs this evening, they were the perfect distraction. Razz
Cat' and I grabbed 5 of the CO's latest instalments leaving just a few for a rainy day. Cool
Although...... they do seem a lot easier to get to when it is not quite so rainy. [xx(] Wink

TFTC and series The Blind Side, all found so far have been in perfect condition. [^]
