Spent about 30mins trying to find... Plenty of muggles about... Will try again another time... To be continued...
A weekend trip to the Wairarapa included a Saturday morning drive down Admiral Road to gather up most of the caches remaining here. This included both active and archived ones, and with seven experienced Geocachers descending on each cache location we had a very high success rate, avenging a number of previous DNF's by individuals from our group and finding a number of caches that had not had a successful find for some time. A fun day with a lot of laughs.Sadly, towards the end of the loop, the rain settled in hard and we called it quits. However the path back to our accommodation took us past here, and as I had previously DNF'd this cache (in December last year), and the CO was travelling with us, it felt like a good opportunity to have another go. Despite the rain the CO got out and confirmed that the cache was still there and as I was paying attention I was able to use that to narrow down my search area and the cache was found, safe and well.---Thanks to TrinityNZ for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.
Oh no. Our second visit and we read the hint but it's still eluded us. So sad.
Great to find after nearly a day of off & on caching. So pleased to get the little blighter, as initially I thought it was missing- just keep persevering and it came up trumps. Favourite given for location.
Cache checked and duplicate removed. Now there is only one - magnetic. Thanks NZ_B for checking it out for me.
Today is day fourof my 6 night holiday in Dannevirke, Greytown and Wellington and then home. I had to look twice as it blended in surprisingly well.
I think we have ended up with two caches, so Im disabling until it can be sorted.
Headed over the hill today for the NZ_B event.Nice quick findLog signed tm/ww NZTFTC
Found with woolwood9 after the New Year Days Event Soon had it located - not magnetic but easy find right at co-ords.SL *tm/ww NZ* *Thanks for the reason to visit the area and for the cache.*
Found it in the dirt below the tree but the hint says magnetic but container was not magnetic so we hung it on the fence it needs to be fixed
Cache did not appear to be in any of the obvious spots, and there was far too many peoples coming and going to spend long searching. Maybe another day.
15 April 2023 11:16 am. I was invited by GSEL for a quick dash over to the Wairarapa to sign off the new caches in the area. This was one we visited.
Wouldn't have pegged you for a Duran Duran fan!
TFTC TrinityNZ for placing this geocache, number 12539 for me.

12,790. I decided last night to spend Saturday doing a drive around the lower part of the Wairarapa and cleaning out some new caches that have sprung up in this area. Asked Infoferret if she wanted to come along for the ride. She was keen so we headed off this morning and drove over the Remutaka Hill to begin our day. Finally reached Martinborough and stopped here to look for this cache. Soon located by IF. Signed the log and returned where found. Thanks TrinityNZ for the cache. I seem to spend all my days in Martinborough geocaching and never tasting the wine.
Following the last log, NZ_B has been to the cache and found both of the containers (a new one had been added as it looked like the old one had gone missing). Logs combined and now there’s just one container.
a clouy but nice caching, biking and wine-tasting tour around town, best greetings from Austria
Spent a little looking in the wrong place, and then checked the map again and found it straight away. TFTC.
Cache location has moved thanks to a change in the fence. The hint has been updated. Thanks to NZ_B for helping out,
This was a fun one.. definitely not where I expected it to be.. one for the tip toes
Partner found this one in an unexpected location, suspect the wind moved from hiding spot. Have replaced where we thought it may have originally been. Thanks!
Over for the weekend staying with friends in Martinborough. This was a nice quick find on the way home. Like others, it just needed a nudge with a stick to retrieve it.TFTC
I don't know if we were looking in the right place, but we thought we were, particularly after reading other logs. Unfortunately, as someone had driven into the gate and demolished a post, we might have been put off by that, and the cache might have been in a different hidey hole. Never mind, it's been a successful mission so far, and we'll keep an eye on this one and return again for another attempt.
A beautiful day for doing the Adventure labs in the area. Straightforward find. Thanks for placing the cache
I failed to find this cache last year and returned today determined to put things right. It still took me a few minutes but eventually I did sight something that led me to a successful conclusion to my mission. I am scratching my head as to why I didn't check there on my first visit.
This wasn't my best work and I have given myself a stern talking to.

Called here after a late lunch in Martinborough. Found the hiding spot pretty quickly but it took another minute or so to retrieve the cache.. Signed log, TFTC.
I decided this morning to head out to Martinborough to collect a cache that I needed for a challenge. Miss 18 asked to come for the road trip so off we went.
Driving down SH53 from Featherston we were stopped at the intersection of Bidwills Cutting Rd heading into Martinborough. The Ruamahunga River is in flood due to the amount of rain we have had recently, so we were directed back to the road out to Kahutara, and then on to Pirinoa to loop back to Martinborough.
After some stops for caches along the back roads, and devouring a yummy lunch at the square, it was time to get serious with these Martinborough caches!
The hint object was obvious, and the cache was located quite quickly. I love these little sneaky hides! Miss 18 thought it was genius! TFTC

#13,037. Park, walk and grab on Puruatanga Road in Martinborough. After some dog-walking muggles had passed, GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

On a road trip today with Paua. Thought this was going to be an easy find, not so.
Thoroughly searched the location and could not find anything that looked like a cache. It may have help if we could agree what a bison tube looked like.

Out and about in the dark signing off a few caches before dinner. Clever wee hide here. TFTC # 18,511

We got lucky with this one and saw the container on approach, so nice quick find. TFTC

Day 1 Cache 29 of my mad mission to the Wairarapa for the 100-10-7 Challenge. Wet and rainy day today but cachers must carry on. The lovely Ethness has joined me as driver for the day. We ended up changing our plans to add this one to the list, despite Martinborough not being on the original plan Plans are made for changing - nice to add your cache to my finds Trinity. Log only had one spot left so we have replaced and I have the other log for you at our next event. TFTC Nice cache indeed.
Travelling down to Wellington via Cape Palliser for the second week of school holidays. Stopping for a few caches on the way. Saturday afternoon was a busy time here so carefully negotiating the hordes of wobbly cyclists we got to the winery and collected this cache. Cache all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
Wandering in Wairarapa between Easter and Anzac day. Started at Cape Palliser and ended up in Martinborough. Found several hides along my way. This hide was one of them.
Last cache of the day. All good here. TFTC

The container was quickly spotted but thought at first it was empty until I realised the log book is really tiny. Thanks TrinityNZ.
Lovely day, riding bikes around vineyards. Great cache, in good order. Coords and hint accurate. TFTC
While we were in the Wirarapa for a nearly two weeks we visited alot of places around martinborough and lower wairarapa esp cape palliser where i had never been , and i see this was one of the caches I didn't log at the time because we were out of coverage at time and so some were forgotten . Thanak you for this cache .
Took a couple of minutes to find the nicely concealed cache (probably rates a tad up from D1). Then on to Patuna Chasm Thanks TrinityNZ!
Took us a few minutes although we had the right idea from the start. TFTC TrinityNZ!
"I'm pretty sure it's going to be in one of these holes" I said, immediately before finding it. Tftc!
We aimed to reach the peak of Everest so where did we head but southern Wairarapa, as you do! This was a two day expedition first to Featherston and Lake Wairarapa, then onto Martinborough and finally to Greytown to complete the peak before returning home. We planned carefully making sure we avoided the tropical storm, the remains of Cyclone Dovi. We saw evidence of fallen trees and lakes in paddocks and even got to one main road bridge only a couple of hours after it re-opened, so we counted ourselves lucky. We actually experienced two days of beautiful late summer weather.
This cache was a last minute add in and short detour as we prepared to leave Martinborough for Greytown on Day 2 of our expedition. It was a quick and straightforward find. TFTC

Not such an easy find but a good one. Have to agree about the weather here as we have been tenting all during the cyclonic rain of the last few days (Cyclone Dovi) and although surrounding roads were closed, Martinborough got off very lightly. Our tent stayed dry inside! Amazing. Cache is all good. TFTC
Find number 30 today, and our first find of a non-archived cache (and I think, our first non-lonely cache). I'm pretty impressed, Trinity - the cache page and hide suggest you have been caching before you started caching! I had a look through your history - wow. At the time you published this you only had about 140 finds! I am even more impressed. Well done. I don't normally give favourites for micro caches - I believe geocaching is a family game I and I like caches to at least be large enough to hold treasure - but in this case you deserve one.
Made me hungry though. It's 3pm and people are just leaving from their lunch. Twig called that a very civilised time to finish lunch. I don't agree. During a work weekday I would call it a very insulting time to finish lunch (your work is not important to me) - very uncivilised. Of course, this is a weekend!
TwigNZ and I had planned a tramp this weekend, but the weather put paid to that so as a consolation prize we took advantage of the Waitangi Day Monday-is-still-the-weekend and come out here. What a prize! Nearly every find was a lonely cache, most over 1000 days, one was just a few days under 7 years! We drove to the end of Ruakokoputuna Road and cached back. Thankfully the weather played ball - mostly. Hardly rained at all. A few caches needed replacement, as did a few log books. Not surprising after the lack of attention they had received. It's like people have forgotten they are here!

Waitangi weekend, and the heavens have conspired to pour a winter month's worth of rain on us over 48 hours, which put the mockers on my plans to tramp Totara Flats. But here we are on Monday, and whilst the rain hasn't entirely gone away it is at least light enough not to be so much of a nuisance whilst out caching. The Seagnoid and I have decided to have another raid over the Rimutakas into Skindo-land, targeting a long gravel road that neither of us have travelled along before. There are a lot of archived caches along here, most of which would be lonely caches too...
This was one of the very few extant caches we went looking for today. I just tried looking at the Google Street View of this location, and wow! What a change between whenever that view was posted and now! A good hide, although I'd suggest at least a D1.5 rating for it. I'm both sad and happy that the container wasn't an Eclipse tin considering the name of the vineyard
Thanks for placing this cache.

Swung by to check on this today. It was in the wrong place, hanging on the fence in plain sight. No wonder there’d been some comments that it was too easy to find. I’ve put it back in it’s rightful spot.
#1766. I am in Martinborough to do the Patuna Chasm adventure this afternoon with a group of Wellington friends. Had a coffee at The Neighbourhood Café, then had time to pick up some caches before lunch. This was the last of the four. Found the cache lying on the ground, so after signing, returned it to a more logical place.
