Logic logic geologic logically sorted. Glad my muggle buddy loves the long history celebrated on Norfolk so here we are. And for me its like Norfolk has been a myth or has at least has been in the imagination mirrored by faded school lessons for so longnow the dream to visit Norfolk Island is real! The holiday suddenly looks busy busy with a schedule of tours, events and 70+ caches to find. From the first step on the island everything has been fabulous. Cache found quickly and logged as VIIPERS - a crew of caching buddies from Vic and Tassie ( who include cybergran V, SciFiRulz, Riddell, icybeetas Weirdobiker) TFTC and the fun. A fave for the logic of the puzzle!
A group of caching friends are visiting from the mainland and enjoying the scenery while caching. The log was signed as team (viipers) who include cybergran V, SciFiRulz, Riddell, Ronice88, icybeetas and myself. I know my limitations and these type of puzzles are beyond me despite lots of people explaining the logic. Thanks to others in the group for the solve on this one.
Found by the VIIPERS. There may not be snakes on Norfolk Island, but now there are VIIPERS. We are V(al Cybergran V) I(an icybeetas) I(an Riddell) P(am weirdobiker) E(velyn SciFiRulz) R(onice Ronice88) and S(ylvia Riddell who is with us in spirit.)Found this one but had to borrow a walking pole to fish it out from its hidey hole. I really enjoy this type of puzzle so had a lot of fun solving it. TFTC
A group of geocaching friends consisting of Val (cybergran V), Ian (half of the team Riddell) Ian (icybeetas) Pam (weirdobiker) Evelyn (SciFiRulz), Ronice (Ronice88) and Sylvia (half of team Riddell) are touring Norfolk Island with the aim of finding every cache here. This was a quick find of a cache in good condition and the log signed as Viipers to save space. Thank you kiwicouple for for the challenging puzzle and the cache as it enhanced our visit to this beautiful island. A favourite point for the puzzle.
Years ago I used to buy the weekly puzzle books Thats Life and Take 5, and loved doing this type of puzzle, then I discovered geocaching and havent had time to do any that dont give me answers to coordinates for caches! But it has come in handy when needed to solve this one. Thanks endeavour3 for the puzzle and the cache which SciFiRulz fished out with the use of one of my handy Nordic Hiking poles, whilst I was busy admiring the view and taking photos.A favourite point for the memory, the puzzle, the view and the logbook newly inscribed with VIIPERS ink ~ Val, Ian, Icy, Pam, Evelyn, Ronice (and Sylvia in who would much rather be here than home solving puzzles for our next adventure)
Logic problems were my absolute favourite thing when I was younger so I was excited for this puzzle- and Ive just seen one used in an episode of Ludwig! Maybe theyre coming back We parked near the cache, which I spotted fairly quickly thanks to the hint, but I couldnt reach it, so we had to search around for a tool before being able to extract it and pop my name into the log book. TFTC, kiwicouple. =^.^=

What a lovely spot to sit and contemplate the day!!Enjoying two weeks on Norfolk Island always wanted to visit, now Im here! And theres caches of course! Beautiful place, thank you kiwicouple for placing this game piece here, showcasing this lovely area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
(4 of 17 today - including 1 Adventure Lab)Another fun day out with the Woof Patrol ((aka **Calypso 62**, **Jackscruff**; **Goldberry17**, **FunFurMe**, **creativechookie** & me).Today we decided to tackle the west side of the island, starting in the south west and working our way north towards this afternoon's event. And didn't that work a treat.A combination of fascinating history and breathtaking views - and in one instance a breathtaking slope!###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###A nice easy one - to go with a puzzle that had me for quite a while. We all signed, and discovered the trackable picked up at a previous cache.SLTNLNTFTC
FCoh heck! Found it in spite of Fried brain! All I want to know is what happened to the Purple apartment door? SLTN LNkiwicouple for the brain workout
#6080Another magical location on this beautiful island. Seriously, are there any bad locations??? And the answer is a resounding... "NO!!!"An interesting puzzle to complete that was most satisfying when done. Thanks kiwicouple for the geo-fun.
I love these type of puzzles and have done plenty so for me this was an easy solve. Wish all the puzzles were that friendly!Another beautiful vantage point. Today it isn't as windy as yesterday which is evident in the smaller swell against the cliffs below. The cache was an easy find and after completing the legal stuff we rehid the cache we contemplated the view for a few minutes before heading off to the next location. TFTC # 6029
Found with Ris768 while travelling on Norfolk Island TFTCLog 3290Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache kiwicouple
#14409 16:25The third day of Geo Adventure 2024 with a group of 30+ geocachers visiting Norfolk Island. Roaming around the island for a few days, a smaller group decided to tackle sthe East coast of the island today.A nice logic puzzle that took a few tries to solve. Today with a small group we visited GZ for a quick find.TFTC kiwicouple
We spent a fun and productive week geocaching on Norfolk Island, as well as seeing the spectacular views. We also did several tours and other activities on offer, which highlighted different aspects of the island life and history. Thanks for this cache.
Found it with goingplaces2 & ilook4geo while on a 7 day epic trip with 33 other caches exploring this beautiful Island. Thanks to the CO for the cache.
I made a good stab at the puzzle but I did need some help from friends in the end. Found with the G8 crew.
Found with oldmorty. Finally found the rocks I'd been looking for. Thanks to the CO for the cache.
A few months back, we started working through the NI unknowns in preparation. This is a style we've struggked with at times but managed to surprise ourselves this time. Found with MummyPenny on a windy day. Thanks kiwicouple.
Found in the late evening. Found with ItsDozzie, Ziggyau, Everest High, Brewmaker, Tardis and Max Adventurer. TFTC.
#7567 NI Day 3After our breakfast event, harveyt2079 and I headed towards Kingston again to collect caches in the south eastern corner of the island. Having completed our targets in the south eastern corner, it was time to relocate to the south western corner. The wind was absolutely gale force here this morning so happy to make a quick find and really concentrated to ensure the log paper didn't get blown away. These logic puzzles always do my head in. But I persevered and got the coordinates in the end.TFTC kiwicouple
My buddies: bella at waggyThank you Norfolk Island Visitors, for creating, placing and maintaining this cache. I have enjoyed finding it and visiting this spot.Follow my story on Instagram @AlphaDeltaIndigo
A puzzle type I had seen before so was able to deduce how to solve. Out with ADI and it was very windy. We made the find and complete the signing duties. TFTC
Found during a week of geocaching on Norfolk Island with GeoMates. It was a successful week and an adventurous one. Thanks go to kiwicouple for placing this cache.
Day 3 of my Norfolk Island adventure. I can understand why people want to live here . Its a little bit of paradise. Wow so much history on the island, Im enjoying my wandering seeing the sites Some logs signed as N2OThis is my 12071find.Thankyou kiwicouple for placing and maintaining this cache
I don't do many puzzle caches, but I adore logic puzzles so I completed this one a few nights before visiting Norfolk Island. it took me until my last full day to collect it, but it was a quick find with yet another great view. Thanks for the fun!
Quick find here. I've always enjoyed logic puzzles as they really get the brain going. 2 for 2 today as I'm clearing the map again.
Lucky No. 13!! For my 2023 NI adventure, once again a big thanks to awesome Portstevo on the mainland for the assist, you are brilliant! Tftc, another great spot!
T-Tech and I are visiting Norfolk Island for our 40th anniversary. We arrived from Brisbane and are staying for 2 weeks at Endeavour Lodge, and plan to get some R&R, see all of the sites, learn the history, and gather every cache here so we can claim the Se Dun Challenge Today we had a leisurely start with a visit to the Show followed by a wander through town and a coffee at our favourite cafe. The plan for the rest of the day is to visit Bombora Beach, Crystal Pool, 100 Acre Wood, Headstone Point and St Barnabas Church, gathering caches along the way. This one was a must do cache today as I managed to solve the logic puzzle all by myself! Pretty happy with that Loved where GZ is. GPS was sending us everywhere but we eventually fund the right spot. TFTC and great puzzle, Norfolk Island Visitors.
Over with IolantheK from Brisbane celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary [^]Out for another day of caching up the west side of the island.IolantheK loved doing this puzzle, logic puzzles are one of her specialties [^]Nice easy find, cache in good condition [^]TFTC Norfolk Island Visitors
# 8968 Norfolk Day 4, team "Dem CBR" myself, iPlod65, Joolay, barb2e and contesta had another fantastic day of caching and exploration. Another day of hard climbs starting with a trip to Bird Rock. It's a steep walk down there and even harder back up. The rewards were there withe great views and some whales to watch. Then we headed over to Cascade Bay to grab the caches over there. It's a rough path to cascades along the cliffs but well worth the trip. We missed this one when we were here yesterday, so grabbed it today.Logs signed collectively "Dem CBR", which in local parlance is "them from Canberra".Thanks kiwicouple for the Mystery Cache
On holiday in Norfolk Island with StrangeTrousers. Beautiful Island. TFTC signed as DEM CBR

Zoom zoom zooming around in Kermit (green not red) Logging as DEMCBR.Fantastic weather, warm and sunny after chilly temps when leaving home. This was a quick and easy find and here at Norfolk Island Geotour Logic today. This was a tricky group puzzle solve. Thanks so much for the many caches kiwicouple and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light
Found with the Canberra group consisting of Joolay, Contesta, StrangeTrousers and iPlod and log signed as Dem CBR. Great to start our adventures on the island. Tftc
Oh boy, this puzzle almost drove me to drink...(well, more than usual anyway). No matter how hard I tried to piece it together, I could not get a decent flow that would lead me to the end. So, I put it away for a few weeks and figured I wouldn't get all the caches I wanted anyway.
We all know that never works though so out it came again, and I spent a few more hours working through the snippets of information given, then finally got a break. It took a while longer to get the solution, but the breakthrough was oh so important.
Driving past GZ this afternoon, I found a very convenient car park that also covered me while I moved in for the hunt. A nice quick find once in the right spot, I added my name to the log, tucked the container back in place and hit the road. [^]
I'm pretty pleased to have this in the found list, it was nowhere near as easy as other logic puzzles I've worked through in the past. Nast I tell ya, just plain nasty...
Cheers Norfolk Island Visitors.

Puzzle jointly solved by myself and my daughter before leaving home. Today we made the find. TFTC
Solving this was a great way to pass time during yesterday's foul weather, and it was a quick find today. Still really wild seas, I reckon you'd be in serious trouble in an old bark with heavy seas and an onshore gale. Thanks for the cache.
I hate geñeric logs. I don't think we came here on a previous visit but glàd to come today and find the cache. Tftc two kiwis.
This one took some slow spreadsheet work to solve so didn't want to leave the island without signing the log. So a quick drive out this morning and an easy cache find to wind up the trip. Thanks for the fun puzzle, I've always enjoyed those kind
Solved before leaving home, Exploring the Island, with wazza9, quick find, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO.
TFTC,
A quick find with Nana nel after solving the cache at home.
Such a great area to cache.

Only one more cache to find on the island after this one. Sam(sung) had me running in circles for a while but the cache was found the log signed and I was off after my last to find.
Thanks Norfolk Island Visitors for adding to my enjoyment.

On 15 October 2022 a new batch of prisoners were shipped out of Brisbane to spend 7 days incarcerated on Norfolk Island. It has now been 4 nights and and countless days into their sentence at Ocean Breeze Cottages.
Day release for the prisoner has seen steady progress with escape plan. The logic of escape from this Island is starting to be a challenge. The prisoner is considering serving out the sentence.
Earlier in the week the prisoner had parked right beside this cache and walked off in search of other caches of treasure.

A wet rainy and windy day so only attempting one cache, A drive around the island and it was quite interesting to see the difference between the lee side and the wind side. We took many photo's so show our friends and family when we go home. The cache is in good condition. SL TFTC

We had a couple of hours free this morning, so the whole family went caching. We planned to do more, but had to contend with heavy rain at times, so changed plans as we went, managing 5 finds and a trig.
I looked at this on Sunday night in Sydney - thought - yep, easy solve, I'll do it in the airport while we wait.... I got a start in the puzzle on the plane - I think it took a good hour of back and forth to finally nut out a solution - I was stoked when the final fell on a likely spot, moreso when the checker agreed once we had data again.
At GZ a likely spot was seen, but it was absolutely pouring - enough to pin us down in the car for a good 10 minutes. I eventually grabbed an umbrella and went out for the grab - nothing. Eventually the rest of the family emerged in raincoats once the rain eased a little - Samuel had to lay down and get his hand about 10cm under water to find the cache! It was surprisingly dry once removed in the car. All signed and rehidden. A higher spot would help at lot! TFTC!

After having some breakfast, the family and I decided to go on a little cache drive before Mum had a work meeting. After pulling into the parking nearby, we hopped out of the car in the POURING rain, after dad walked around a bit and looked in all the likely spots, Then I hopped out of the car and read the hint, which pointed me towards the hide, which was in a pool of water, but surprisingly the log was nice and dry.

Found on a return to this spot, found with NutCacheBNE. Ty to endeavour3 for some clues.
The good hint made this a quick find. We made use of the nearby seat to sign the log, enjoy the view and watch the birds soaring. Lovely spot!
Thank you.
Thank you.
Spending the day caching around Norfolk Island between a few showers. We covered quite a bit of the island and traveled along many of the minor roads.
Thanks to the COs who have placed hides on the island as well as Endeavour3 who has many caches, as well as maintaining the caches of others.

Today was our first full day on NI with the weather overcast and only a few short showers. Due to the number of caches found, will do a generic log. Thank you to the CO's for placing these caches in the respective location. These caches brought us to many great views of this beautiful islands. TFTC
Another lovely view!
Cows were calling out to us very loudly - perhaps at 7.20am we were too early?

Nice location and views. Love the well place seat and those turnstiles are great... this one squeaks well. Beware the mutton bird holes!
Trip log: Norfolk Island... Not something we had been planning to do but with GreyHams noticing travel here was starting up again, a good deal on flights and that this would count as a new caching 'country' this was indeed a very tempting location to visit.
Puzzles were solved, our double vaccinations certificates ready to go. A last minute change in the entry requirements added our PCR tests... but we arrived.
We had a challenge to collect as many of the caches as we could in the 48 hours we would be on the Island... A caching trip, but one that guided us around into every hidden gem the Island had to offer. All its beauty, history, scenic and quirky... and moisture! Humidity that sucked the energy out of every pore as we sweated our way about, but it was awesome!
An event the first evening was fantastic to meet with endeavour3, a wealth of local knowledge and assistance... both caching and the local area. It was great to confirm details, amend as needed and with a few DNFs help us back on track.
An honourable mention to the cows, especially the one that licked all over the car, the feral chickens (but not the roosters that wake up far to early and noisily) and the very friendly waving people everywhere we went!
Thanks for your cache that helped guide us about, and can all the caches be found within 48 hours... I'm very pleased to say that yes we could!

Aquilus1 and myself were on a mission: Go to Norfolk Island and clear the place out in 48 hours! This we achieved as we arrived well prepared, having ground out the puzzles (some with assistance) so that we had coords for nearly all hides before leaving Australia.
Brain tickler test & vaccination certificates in hand, we were shocked on arrival that our Australian mobiles had no roaming coverage....NONE! But, thankfully it seems most accommodation not only comes with a car, but comes with a phone as well.
I swear we did at least 5 laps of the island, I knew my way around very well by the end. NI is such a beautiful place, I am coming back with the family in a month and I already know exactly where I will take them.
On our first day we hosted an event and thankfully the local legend cacher, endeavour3, graced us with his presence. Some sage advice on the trickiest of NI hides was gladly received
And, it has to be said......OMG THE HUMIDITY!!! Canberra has none at all, it was a major shock to the system!

I loved this puzzle, right up my alley! Fave point for that.... My 'commando roll' saved my pride and my ankle after the mutton bird hole!

Ha ha, solved, and I recognise that location. We had been caching as a flock, and a couple tried a shortcut, but it wasn’t to be. We then tried to work out where they (the flock gathered here while some checked something out) but they had worked out a sensible place to wait further up the road. If you weren’t there and you can decipher that, then you have a high chance of working out the logic puzzle. As it was, we had a little assistance, and claim this cache as nearby on placement. Thanks for the puzzle and smiley.
I usually don't attempt these sort of logic puzzles as they do my head in but remarkably I managed to solve this one. Thanks for giving me some confidence, COs. Since solving this one I've done 2 or three more! We were all on Norfolk together in July and how lucky were we to get there. A wonderful experience. Logged with permission from owner as present at placement. Thank you!

First to Find @ 09:00 on 14/08/2021 [FTF]
16 kiwis came to Norfolk Island last month. Some were geocachers and some were muggles. Some made the hike into Bird Rock, while others went to Show me the lights. Some of the cachers went all out and found all the caches on the Island, while some only did the park n’ grabs. Some of them made puzzles, and some found hiding spots.
Meanwhile endeavour3 cooked fish, and discovered that his nearest unfound cache was no longer in New Caledonia. So he solved some puzzles and set out in his geo to look under rocks where he found a little container with blank sheets of paper. TFTC

Even though being there on placement means we can log this find, it wasn't;g going to happen unless the puzzle was solved. It will be no secret that logic puzzles and I are not great friends but perseverance and lots of head scratching resulted in a nice and very rewarding solve, Maybe, just maybe logic puzzles and I can become more acquainted with each other. Thanks for all the great memories we made on the island and of course for another puzzle cache.
