Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state WA. Spending a few days in Murray Bridge to cache the surrounds. Loving the scenery that we pass as we move through the caches - this is our preferred caching - not suburbs. Bit chilly but not raining. Thanks CPwanderer

On account of the glorious weather, I decided to take a three day weekend and do some camping and geocaching around Murray Bridge.

Today I concentrated on the Callington and Monarto area in the morning and then spent the afternoon exploring Murray Bridge.

An enjoyable day with lots of great caches.

Thanks for the cache CPwanderer.

The penultimate day to finish filling my calendar to loop 11. Today I only needed to find two caches but I have left three of the gourmet series..just in case. [^]

I decided to walk to this one next as it was the most distant from where I parked the car. Razz Approaching GZ I guessed it would be in the hollow. WRONG. All that buzzing as I approached closer was all the bees coming and going from that hollow. Twisted Looking at the GPSr it wanted me to go slightly away from the hollow to where I could see the cache. But the buzzing was still loud and one took too much of an interest in me so I backed away and waited for them to settle a bit more. Twisted Then it was a careful move in, grab the cache and retreat away so I could stamp it in peace. Smile Once more it was into the BUZZ zone to replace it. [^] Obviously bees like doughnuts! [:o)] Zytheran would be proud of the placement.

Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. Twisted So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. Cool That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]

***Thanks CPwanderer for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

A day out with Featherwaite.

We went to Charlston and Monarto and picked up any others we came across.

We had a pleasant walk around the park picking up caches as we went.

All up probably took just a little over an hour.

Headed off from event with hevwalker and Freddo to find the new caches in the area, I grabbed a couple extras along the way as I hadn't ever been here before....I will return to complete the rest at some stage. During the walk our group grew and then shrunk as we met up with others and then went on our own directions again. Great to catchup with everyone and enjoy the cache hunting. Glad we had wet weather gear on as when it rained it wasn't too inconvenient for us, as we stayed dry and warm. Thanks for the excerise and great caches CP.

Visited the area for the CO's event today...after signing the log, a hello to friends, grabbing a lamington & recieving my doggie bag gifts I headed off with scramping & freddo to grab the first few caches of the series...along the way we were joined by other cachers looking for the same smilies
Nicely themed set of caches...mmm! Doughnuts
Thanks CPwanderer for placing them

Ok, I don't mind the odd doughnut.
The best are made hot in front of you at the market or Copenhagen ice creamery.
I do think, the greek had the right idea, when they present the donut dripping in honey.
All this gourmet food is just making me hungry...thanks for the cache CPwanderer.

After missing these 3 caches of the new series a few weeks ago with Freddo parked up and made the short walk to them. All 3 nice and easy finds

Today I headed to Monarto/Murray Bridge region for CP’s Two cents worth event, so decided to leave early in the morning to collect a chunk of caches in the area before the event then do a few after, unfortunately the rain changed my plans throughout the day as limited walking could be done. Still managed to get 54 finds for the day.

Thanks for the cache

I love everything about doughnuts, even the hole.

Gourmet caching indeed. I usually bring quite a spread of food for a day out caching. Sometimes there is fruit left over, but its almost guaranteed the chocolate biscuits are all consumed. Today I did not bring the biscuits, and it was an 'all fruit' day. Thanks for the cache, another great placement in a great location. Thanks for the cache and ongoing maintenance.

Let there be donut days forever.

I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.

The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Easter 2020 was supposed to see South Australia Geocaching hosting the next Easter big MEGA event, GeoVenture 2020 at Millicent. GC82DAN. Due to COVID restrictions the event is now postponed to early October 2021. Check out the event page and our website for new details. We would love to see you at this four day event. Mega event sponsored by Wattle Range Council, Geocaching.com and many other supporters. Lots of caches to find with two classic geo art trails including the famous animated bottle and glass.

After a drizzly start we headed off to attempt the Gourmet Geocaching series.

A nice walk around the woodlands with just two hares spotted. All caches in great condition and easily found.
We dropped in a trackable in the hope that someone can move it along soon.

Many thanks for another interesting series CPwanderer

Another Monday caching, starting at the woods. A nice walk today. Thanks CP.

We headed towards the Monarto area this morning for a days caching. We had found four caches and were arriving at the Gourmet series when we became aware that four more caches in the series had been published. So the priorities were obvious - look for the new caches before looking for others. Having found one of the new caches, we headed off to the second. Accurate coordinates and an obvious hide location led to a quick find of a well hidden and presented cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. To our delight the logbook was blank. So we will claim {FTF} at 11:10. Thanks CPwanderer for this cache and the series.
