I am in Dunedin early to attend the Mega next weekend so in the meantime Im getting caches when I can. This cache was found in good condition.
Lovely view up here. Happy to be able to witness the First cache find for my mate Livyboo23. TFTC
My first ever cache find! On a little cache hunt with Amarana11 this afternoon, beautiful weather.
I located a few caches today near Dunedin and on the Otago Peninsula whilst en route to Portobello for the night. This one was a reasonably quick find! #7361. TFTC.
The big mission of today day was to break my record of most finds in 1 day. I started in the morning from Larnach Castle, after spending the night there. Unfortunately, the weather was really bad for part of the day but I persisted nonetheless, going on a geocaching hunt through the wind and rain, on my bike! After going down Highcliff Road into the city, I spent a lot of time in the city centre, ticking off all adventure labs there. Then through the botanical gardens and onto the steepest street in the world, which I managed to ride all the way up in 3 'stints' . To finish off I grabbed some more tradies at the waterfront and just before midnight I called it a night. I'm not sure if I broke the record yet, since I'm only logging all finds at the moment .Btw, sorry to all CO's, I did not manage to actually sign all logs, since my fingers were sometimes so cold, I had no strength to open some tight containers. Rest assured, I actually found all containers and enjoyed the full day hunt a lot! Also sorry for this generic log for all caches, making it a little bit easier for myself, since I found so many. All finds were relatively easy, mostly because of the hints, thanks for that. All DNF's were either taking too much time so I had to move on, or were very probably missing. Many thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining! FP's rewarded for the ones I especially enjoyed!
As the cache owner hadn't logged that the missing cache had been replaced, it was fortunate we hadn't read the previous DNF logs before arriving at this cache, as we might not have bothered stopping. The shiny new replacement was a quick easy find. TFTC
No luck today.
There was pill bottle indent in the ground but thats all.
Next time.......

We have found a few of the Hardy Boys series and it's nice to find no. 1. Not as fancy hide as some of the new ones in the series but the view more than makes up for it.
Out on a GC adventure and gad to stop for this one. Thanks for the cache BDC417.

Easy find, TFTC. We pulled in on our way back to town to get rid of a tailgater and I popped out and found the cache.

We are from Abilene, Texas, USA and have come to New Zealand to visit with a friend. We plan on going after different Cache Types while here. We will also find geocaches while going sight seeing. Today we are out with Bitsprayer and Drawp.
Thank you, BDC417 for placing this cache for all to find. We sign log sheets either as Love Cachers or LCers.
Driving over 50 miles to have...
Rusty barbed wire ripping through your clothes...
Curious rattlesnakes that come out of nowhere...
Itchy mosquito bites on every inch of your body...
A 40 mph wind gust blowing sand into your ears, nose and mouth...
Cactus needles getting stuck deep in your hands, arms and legs...
Thorny Mesquite trees scratching you up from head to toe...
Some or all of these things on a hike through 101° heat...
To sign your name or trade a toy...

Thought I had signed this one. Stopped today as all the other carparks were full of maggots busy with their cameras. Found the pillcan but didn't see any evidence the last newbie signed log. No pencil in cache yeah nah, just a noob. Craned my neck to spot the towers. tftc
Lovely day quick find. Thank you for placing and maintaining. First to sign new log book.
A few years ago I had completed my 366 caching days only for todays date to somehow change. Having missed last year, I was in need of an "easy" cache to get before work. So very pleased to add my name and complete the grid pattern again.
Nothing in the description about a river crossing! Lots of water still running off the farm. Kia ora for the cache.
Not the first time walking up this road for caches and whilst it's not the most suitable for pedestrians, the chore of finding safe carparking along the narrow road is tedious. A micro published mistakenly too close to an old puzzle final and a wery familiar camo taped 20ml pillcan with equally familiar micro logbook got found and signed. Do we have another 111PAF throwdown clone operating in the district or another local's multi account sock puppet dropping themed caches in randum geo zones. The micro cache got relocated to the next available GZ with equally safe gateway parking whilst another unknown 2Lt treasure box with associations to a couple of Dunnas cachettes got removed from the puzzle final zone as well to save more false positive logging. Found the relocated micro cache again to check the original logbook hadn't been interfered with and returned it to the new spot. I see those towers from our residence across the harbour well lit up at night. *Labyrinth **15pt** trad, Magic potion **50pt** bonus and new move on board **350pt***. TFTC
On our way to the 22/2/22 event so a bit of a detour here to get another cache for the Souvenir. Was still drizzling so glad we were able to pull right up at GZ and with a little light we soon spotted the hide TFTC
Out caching with indiboo. She found this one quickly.
Thanks for the cache, BDC417

Nice quick find for the young cacher, while I enjoy the view. Many thanks for the stop on the way home
#10,402. I was making my way back along the ridgeline after finding the CANZ cache. Some awesome views of the harbour from up here. Decided to stop for several on my way back to the accommodation. Parked close by and made a quick find here. Cache was all good. Signed the logbook and replaced the container where found. Thanks BDC417 for hiding it here.
Out for a Sunday drive and picking up some recent caches. Easy find. No where to park but up the drive way.
A quick trip out after tea to fill a dot day. Quick find thankfully as it was misty and daylight was fading. Tftc
This one was a good excuse for a bike ride. I've now got one of those cheat ones which is great for getting to caches in and around town. No parking problems here. As the CO has no finds I wonder where he/she picked up the idea on the cache container, a type that is now becoming quite common around town for micros. Thanks for placing this cache and going to the trouble of relocating it.
Took advantage of better weather today for a short trip to pick this one up. Quick park and grab. TFTC
Quick stop here this morning on the way back from the sandfly bay. Amazing views out the harbour. Thanks for placing and maintaining the cache
Out and about this way for KJR's event. I was on a mission to get the points needed for Reach the Peak. My last find for the day. 15 all up, not bad and I have reached the points needed. TFTC BDC417
I think I read somewhere recently (possibly Ian Dougherty's "More than just a place of work") that these towers were fabricated at Hillside railway workshops. I think I also read or heard recently that the towers no longer do anything as their original purpose is performed by other equipment these days. I see there was a reviewer failure with the original publication. TFTC.

Just as I was heading out to meet up with friends for the evening, the notification came through that this new cache was out. By the time I was heading home, Gadget had already made the first find, so I decided to leave it for the next day in daylight. I could see the Tower as I drove along the road, and soon made the find after parking in the handy park nearby. I was surprised at the location, as I thought there was a mystery cache quite close by. I must have that wrong, so this is definitely a location worthy of a cache. TFTC.
(FTF) @2014. This came out this morning but i was out of town working. I was surprised that it was still not found when i got home. So a quick drive up the hill and yes an empty log. The harbor is very still tonight and the lights reflecting on the water are amazing. TFTC
