I'm having a spot of bother navigating and parking today but things came together nicely for this one. Thanks for the cache !
What the? This cache took ages to find. The hint says not as thick as a brick, but its certainly as hard as one!
A drive down to Kirra today to visit a friend up from Canberra. What an awesome day sitting around the Kirra surf club, drinking a few beers and a burger for lunch. Then it was time to head back and a little time to grab a couple of caches along the way. I saw a nice little string of caches and with it being a work day I thought they should be easy to grab. There were three caches today and each one required a little piece of thinking of where the hide would be. Very crafty hides and I enjoyed the finds, thanks.I signed the log and replaced the cache as found. a favourite point for this one.
With the hint here it was a very quick find. Nicely done camo. Thank you Auswanderers for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 5088
A previous DNF at this location on 19/03/2023 had me wanting to return to avenge this with a smile. I did reach out to a few finders to get some tips on where this cache could be, and between that and helpful intelligence in previous logs, I managed to return today and find within 5-10 minutes of another search. A tough cache, and perhaps its difficulty rating should be a little higher than just 1.5. The cache container was in good shape, and the logbook was full as others have mentioned. Perhaps just as difficult as its hide was trying to get a free car park in the adjacent street! Thanks [Auswanderers](https://coord.info/PRPNR4J) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Merry Christmas! The family celebrated Christmas staying in Robina on the Gold Coast, which provided an opportunity to visit geocaches in the region. This afternoon, after catching up with friends and watching the thunderstorm roll through (and getting wet!), I had a few hours that I was able to find a few geocaches, and with no definitive plans, I ended up sticking to the coast/beaches, thinking that the wet weather would make the beach esplanades quieter than usual. I targeted my last remaining *Paradise Series* oldie geocaches, before finding a few *Beautiful Burleigh* and Palm Beach Power Trail (PBPT) geocaches between Burleigh Heads, Palm Beach, and Currumbin. The weather was in complete contrast to the morning with sunshine and warmth, which was a welcome change to being outside today.
Log completely full, needs to be replaced but we didnt have a spare on us. TFTC.
Yesterday MrGravel and I decided to grab this one thinking a 1.5 rating it will be easy peasy Nope - no luck at all but then when I chatted to another cacher it became clearer to me as I have a similar hide. So I figured wed revisit today as we are staying nearby. I had grabbed a few similar things yesterday but no luck. On arrival today however I quickly realised why it was so hard to find - it had been placed by a previous finder inside private property meters away from the designated spot and in direct view of residents/visitors. The cache is in perfect condition but the log is full. We used a faded spot to log as HD MrG. Sorry we do not have a spare log on board. I also came eye to eye (I kid you not) with a local resident LOL (in photo)
A couple of nights on the coast with HippyDonna & with this one at door step, we just had to get it. TFTC
Super sneaky hide. Haven't seen one quite like this. A picture helped me narrow it down and after finding it, the clue made some sense. I'm glad I discovered it as I was starting to doubt my coaching abilities. Thanks for giving me something to do while the AFL grand final was on.
This weekend, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T), baby Cottontail and I tripped south to the Gold Coast to spend time with family. We spent the high-temperature weekend at Home of the Arts (HOTA), David Fleay Wildlife Park, and Palm Beach.
Today, we visited Palm Beach to have a play at the Pirate Playground, but then had a short walk around before returning back to Robina for lunch. A rather busy area, as to be expected given the hot weather.
This was another tough cache that felt a little higher than a 1.5 Difficulty. We had two sets of eyes search around this area for a good 15-20 minutes, and despite a meticulous/detailed search, no cache was forthcoming. The cache may still be here somewhere, but if it is, perhaps the difficulty needs to be increased. Thanks anyway Auswanderers for the cache placement.

As we are in the area celebrating a family birthday, we decided to walk the foreshore where we quickly found this cache.

The hint didn't really help, except to exclude parts of the area. But geocaching eyes quickly spotted a likely host. TFTC
In todays tradition of find one miss one I followed my senses and went to a quick find. TFTC.
Knew exactly where to look from the hint then realised we should have found it a lot quicker as the cache was exposed. Saying that, even exposed the cache is not that obvious. Not exposed now. TFTC Auswanderers.
At last we converted to a smiley face after little success with some of the others in the series. This one was found with ease but was a challenge to extract
I was ready to give up as the tiny ants were everywhere giraffe_legs persistence paid off. Tftc
What a beautiful day to be out getting some smileys. Nice hide that shouldn’t have taken krcamber and I that long
Out with reezielou on this delightful sunny morning and this one took a little looking before she made the find.I had bloody looked right at it but clearly my eyes must be painted on! Nice hide. TFTC!
Parked up the geo van at the beach and had 4 muggle unleaded attempts before landing this one.
Finally got my first smiley of the day

Another clever cache. Had to go back over it again to see things differently. TFTC! ️
Haven’t been caching for a while and the radar needs recalibration. Took a little longer to find but the hint helped and paying attention! Tftc
Start of our adventure along the PBPT and had made a bit of a search where the cache was but not well enough till Aussie Bob found it. Good start to our little expedition today. Thanks Auswanderers.
Well, this one is now out of order in my list of caches done today. I started logging with the second find we had, forgetting this one, or not noticing it on the map or something. Anyway, checking my photos I noticed I had missed this one. Very gladly we did not miss spotting this geocache. Again Aussie Bob proved his worth here - we must insist he always come, but that is not always easy. Thanks for this cache here too Auswanderers. Only your caches in our search today but we enjoyed them very much.
Cheers and happy caching!
Cheers and happy caching!
Looked here twice but it's a bit too sneaky to find when muggles stream past all the time. Having found one of your others I had a fair idea it would involve some pretty good camo. But still no joy.
We parked the car not too far from GZ. We were hoping to walk through this area and collect a few around here along the way. This was our first one in this area and it was a sneaky hide which Mr Domsky spotted fairly quickly.
Thanks Auswanderers

Cruising back up the coast from Kirra Beach and grabbing some smilies along the way.
Stealth required here as a steady parade of muggles made their way to and from the beach.
A bit like pedestrian peak hour!
Nice quick find.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Another visit to the Gold Coast and to do some geocaching. Today I made attempt to find as many of the Palm Beach Power Trail series. Lots of places to look here that match the hint.

I haven't been geocaching for quite some time but thought that I'd check out these new caches in my local area. Now I am hopeless at finding Auswanders caches, so I wasn't at all hopeful of any success.
Nice quick find here, I didn't have an extraction tool with me so I'll come back and sign the log soon.

Got my October FTF to keep my streak alive. I was surprised this one was still available.
Arrived at the GZ to be confronted by a challenging hide. Of course Auswanderers always put a lot of effort into their cache so I knew it would be challenging no matter the rating.
Hmmm Hmm what am I looking for? This … no this.. no. The pandanus is an old favourite too.
Eventually persistence paid off and I was rewarded with a fresh log.
Yay. At last I break my string of DNF with your cache.
A beautiful morning at the beach.
