Mrs Woodyrothwell and I were looking forward to this stretch of caches after the fun we had about two months ago when we were last here. We had even planned to waste a bit of time enjoying the hides rather than driving on.For a prep teacher this hide was a cracker. For someone who thought that a flock of wasps was coming at me, I sh&t my pants when the cache sang to me. Definitely worthy of a favourite point for the jump scare I got. tftc
On our Australian trip . After travelled from Darwin to Perth over the GRR, now on the Eastcoast .Starting from Cairns, Port Douglas, Airlie Beach, Platybus Camp and Bush Camp Broken River, Graignesh, Maryborough we stopped ar South Nanango .We visited my cousin on his huge farm and today we headed to Noosa .BE CAREFUL!!!!!THERE ARE HORNETS INSIDE!!!TFTC# 17'960
Kaimkillenbun to Nanango camping near the peanut vanSome of the best hides we have see for a long time,We went to mnany interesting location & found some very good caches. FP givenThanks MeanduMob for hiding this cache.
I am passing through town on my way home. I have set aside time to find a few caches, especially a couple that have a LOT of favourite points. I will save a few for another visit as well. My GZ was a few meters away from the cache but it is easy to spot from there. Thanks for the cache.
After some of the challenging caches Id seen today I had no idea what to expect from this cache. A small walk from where we parked and I spotted this one. To my surprise was close to what I was expecting. After accessing the cache we reflected on the awesome caches we had seen today. Thanks for your work on these caches.
Heading back from the nearby event, I detoured past some of the Meandu Mob caches to see what all the FPs were about. After checking out the big drum I soon spotted the cache not too far away. Thanks MeanduMob!
Fab day trip to Nanango for an event so ARF , JACS and I hit this gadget trail. We were impressed indeed with the variety, the skill and the fun!!! Loved this letterbox puzzle
I was going to do some individual logs for these but was worried Id give something away. All I can say is that it was a fantastic series and was a real highlight of our trip. Some pretty fantastic work went into these and I can see why the favourite points have stacked up - of course I have dropped a few as well on them.
Whiling away an hour before the event in Nanango, decided to check out the high FP gadget caches on this road. This is our first stop.Approaching GZ, checked out the cast iron decoy. Great effort to lug this beast here! Spotting nothing like a log inside, so broadened the search area and then saw the actual hide. Who doesn't like a large sized cache!! All good with this mail box, thanks MeanduMob.
While camping in Nanango for a few days with my geodog Scruffy , We just had to get out and find a few caches ...All Good .. TFTC ..
I was out today caching with Muggle65 and GreenGecko1. I had only had two caches on the list today. After the event we headed to this cache. MeanduMob thank you for placing and maintaining this cache for enjoyment of the caching community.
Out with Muggle65, Brislions and DisSister for some caching fun today. Thank you for the fun Wasps are very scary.
A rather large wasp nest now resides inside this bad boy, access was difficult and so we signed our names and placed it in the large box.
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Bennyboppers and Lisylou). A fav from me. TFTC!
Cute find with bennyboppers and mnance101 today. Nice cache but watch out for wasps.
Stayed in Nanango overnight and so time to cache today. Nice hide thanks we went to the obvious item first we were glad to read it wasn't the cache. We'll done fav point alloc ️
Unlike the last cache where I almost couldn't open it, this one was wide open when I found it.
Very cute and great fun for the kids - wait I am a kid...

Made our way into GZ, well, what we thought was GZ, and it would have made a decent hiding place but when we turned up nothing, we had to look further afield. The Marble spotted the actual cache nicely crafted and placed. Opening the cache took me back to when the kids were young. Thanks MeanduMob
Found a large item exactly where the GPS was showing but it was empty so expanded the search and quickly found a lovely cache that I’m sure all the kids would enjoy. TFTC
Although two of our GPSrs zeroed at a very obvious item that looked like it could have contained a cache, it was not, in fact, the cache. As we expanded the search, The Marble spotted the real cache nearby, and we were quick to open it to a cascade of toys. TFTC, MeanduMob. =^.^=
Poor thing is missing his innards but cache is all good Took the trackable
Had a nice caching outing today. Thx for all these fun hides! Only worry was dodgy terrain rating at times

Hi there MeanduMob, we found your cache Country Mail today.
Day three in Nanango. We haven’t been able to do many caches up until now because the weather has been too foul.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the area today and ended up finding a variety of container types, sizes and ratings. Thanks also for placing a large cache here. It made us feel really glad to find a really decent container here.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache 10m from where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Good.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Arriving at GZ another ‘big thing’ caught our eye at first. Finding nothing, we looked further afield and found the cache. And what a beauty it is…spider guardian and all!
Dropped off a TB.
Thank you the cache. Finding it added more fun to our day.

A very last minute decision sees me driving a couple of hours north to spend the day in Nanango…
A great day driving the country roads collecting a variety of caches…
A unique container…

Found the cache strewn all over the ground. I signed the log and replaced it where it belongs.
Left Charleville at 7am. After a long, long drive to here, I decided to call in on family and to collect a large cache that I need for a challenge. They are hard to find. Not hard to find in the bush, but rare in existence. When they are put together as well as this one, they deserve a favourite point.
Parked the car nearby and walked into retrieve, approaced from the wrong side initially, but walked around to get to the opening. Signed and returned.
Thanks MeanduMob for the amount of effort you have put in to do this series of caches, made today very enjoyable without being overly difficult but still technically challenging
A fav point for the series

Spending a day caching around Nanango on all the roads less travelled
The family farm has an old steel drum with a welded door for putting letters in and there’s a big hook under it which used to be for hanging the mailbag on
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

Another great hide. Found whilst on a very non direct route to QOGM - Charleville 2022. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching. TFTC MeanduMob

First cache for the day as we head out of town and a great size to start the day.
Took Travel Bug.
Our final full day in Nanango. We wont have completed half the caching to be done, but it will be time to move on tomorrow as we need to be home in Victoria.
The day began with fog and showers so we were not optimistic, bit it gradually cleared into a lovely warm, if humid, day.
More great caching with good-sizes and some really cool containers and field puzzles. We really enjoyed it. Lunch in Yarraman before caching our way back to camp.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache MeanduMob.

Up from Brisbane for the weekend and i dropped my husband at the races today while i found some caches . What an amazing day i had. Wow this would have to be the best series of caches i have ever found . Up there with the breaking bad series in Townsville. This was my first find and i did go around in circles before i spotted the cache and wow what a cache. I actually have the same thing that my grandson has a great time playing with. I wish i could give every one of these a FP and i am going to put them on my list to add a FP when i have some to give. Thanks for all the effort put in to making these caches. Cant wait to find them all
Tftc MeanduMob, staying in the RV park in town for a few nights. Out today to do a loop and collect some smilies.

Squatters rights may be a thing,
Their ownership may be true.
But the ones in this place,
Have sure left a trace,
And we all did a bit of an, "Ewww"!
Thanks for an entertaining day out, visitors to this cache may be subject to the laws of the Hotel California. Not us though, we signed the log and headed off for the next find.

Nyssaflutterby and I were back up this way for a night of camping. We had a walk planned but changed our minds and did some caches around the area instead.
Some great caches out here! Thanks Meandumob!

Not logging in book due to a dead kangaroo decomposing right next to it. Smell too potent, we tried
Due to a half decomposed kangeroo right next to cache, not logging in book. We tried to brave it but the smell was too much.
Having a couple of nights in Nanango to clear up a few caches in the area which we didn't get last time. Checked out the wrong structure to start with and then spotted the cache close by. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC MeanduMob
We are having a lovely drive around finding some great caches and getting some smileys and this is one we found. What a great creative cache it is! Fav from us. Thanks MeanduMob.

Nanango Blitz Weekend with Stealth Seeker.
I think if you've got kids, you've had something very similar like this in your toy box.
Very cute
(again the previous finder hadn't reset properly as the door was open)

Did try and find this one on Friday the 8th, but all I found was the old incinerator.
These are the co-ords that worked for me today;-

A quick find on my first day in Nanango on this trip and went out to tacle some of the new geocaches placed in the area since I was last here. Nice friendly cache. TFTC.
I wonder what the old burner was from?? I think I might be a bit old to know that tune...
Last cache of the day and what a great cache to choose!! Put it on the list as it was a large and was not disappointed with the find. After pulling up on the roadside I ventured into the scrub and soon located the container, loved the inside and my inner child smiled. Thanks for a great cache Meandu Mob, worthy of a FP
Love it, wish our grandies could see this one! So much effort a favourite from us! Came back today to complete this series TFTC
Completing a multitude of backlogs from a Bromance trip in August 21. Apologies for the late log. This was a bromance run in between COVID lockdowns, and somehow I didn't get to logging these finds. I was with Seffnjarah and a full team of JeznDez in the new jalopy they had recently purchased. Thanks ot the CO's for the great caches we picked up. Caching roadtrips with friends are the BEST!
Road trips for The Bromance have been few and far between since Covid-19 raised its ugly head so, with the recent travel restrictions now eased, Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus and a full complement of JezNDez headed off to subject JezNDez's new acquisition Max to the rigours of its first The Bromance geocaching weekend.
Our trip covered the Nanango, Goomeri and Kilkivan areas, and although we had visited this area back in May, we still had plenty of caches left to find up this way, including this one.
Despite Seffnjarah's usual meticulous planning and drawing up a detailed target list of caches, it was Dez that pointed out during the week that a couple of possible First To Finds had been omitted from the spreadsheet. These were duly added and we wondered whether they would remain unfound until our arrival. This question was duly answered half way on the drive up from Brisbane as the Eatmorchikin crew posted notice of their find. That'll teach us to stop for coffee and breakfast when a FTF is on offer .

**FTF** Yeah. How excited were the chikins to find a cache that was brand new. For a long time I have been wanting to come out to Nanango for a caching weekend. Finally the planets lined up and this weekend was it. It was a super special deal that this cache was unfound. I noticed it on Thursday night and hoped it would still be unfound on the weekend and yes it was. What an awesome cache. Kids were so fascinated with it. Super special and well worth a FP. Our 3rd cache find for the weekend. TFTC and efforts with your craftsmanship and creativity. Left TB.
