After misreading the gps directions and kiyaking past the cache, I was able to find the cache.
A little bit of sand here so dragged the kayak to the beach and noticed some strange tracks in the sand, never seen these before and it was a big critter maybe a big buck deer but not like any deer tracks I have seen.Lost them about 100 m into the bush so went back to find the cache.Feels like you are mile from nowhere here but only a few hundred metres from civilization.Quick find then back into the kayak and off to the next one. The lake was mirror calm today not a ripple, made life so much easier.TFTC WilIronbark.
Out with B@W for a pre Christmas aquatic adventure in the Illawarra. Fortunately, the forecast storms did not eventuate so we enjoyed a cool afternoon on and in the water.Really enjoyed all the caches in the Mullet Creek and Macquarie Rivulet. Lovely waterways, which deserve and could accommodate many more caches.SL TFTC
Part 2 on a paddling south expedition with PPE. After Mullet Creek Macquarie Rivulet was next. Some interesting sights with Cows on an island and a very middle and drenched Kanga. We missed most of the rain but PPE managed to do a Crash and roll the yak to get wet anyway. We elected to cross through the scrub to the other two and coped knee deep mud a few times with plenty of detours due water ways and swamps. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Near GZ there was a chair pointed at the very picturesque view. Unfortunately, there were also a car muffler (must have been an effort to get it here!), fishing gear, and heaps of plastic bottles ...
A quick find by the YAK group. Brew's new kayak has passed the test. TFTC Wilbert67.
The YAKs (Young Able Kayakers) were out on The Illawarra waterways today. Our group consisted of: EverestHigh, Martin cousins, Jennyfromthefarm, 2 of the 4Rods and Brewmaker (himself). I was keen to try out my new kayak, so we planned to meet up at Darcey Dunster Reserve. After we found a place to launch our yaks we headed upstream. We enjoyed 4 hours and 12km of paddling, with a bit of walking, in glorious sunshine.
Another quick find after a short paddle from the last one. There were lots of pelicans on the sand spit. TFTC

Found with the group. We overshot this one by a hundred metres so had to turn around. Suckers for punishment!
OCW brewmaker, Everesthigh, 2Rods and Martin Cousins.
Warm day, loads of sunshine, got a weird sunburn on my legs shaped like the cockpit of my kayak. Today I struggled with getting in and out of the boat every attempt was an ungraceful plop or an uncontrolled capsize. It reminded me of a bike tour I went on in Germany where one of the tourists fell off the bike every time she stopped.

Out teaching dat123 or 123dat the ways of caching, dropping them in the deep end with a T3.5, T5.0, and T4.0 for their first three caches ever!
A lovely day on the water. Found a spot to launch just upstream from car parking at S34°32.997' E150°47.677' - quite muddy but no worries.
Lunch on the island in the river mouth, then paddled across to here, where I have never been before. Helped to be at high tide to negotiate the sand bar at the rivermouth. Landed on the lake side of the cache and a short walk to the cache, which is in great condition with plenty of room in the log. Some epic cacti near GZ! Will be back on another day for the other two in the vicinity.
Thanks for another great kayaking cache, Wilbert67!
Well done 123dat on your first caching adventures. It was great to hang out and introduce you to the game!

A great paddle this afternoon in which I managed to find all 6 caches in and around the Macquarie Rivulet. I parked at Haywards Bay and walked down to where the railway bridge cut over and put in. First it was upstream, then back down, across to the Bay and a loop back up the Rivulet.
This was the last of six for the day- lucky I had the skirt on for the lake as things were getting choppy. Even did a bit of CITO here and grabbed some of the rubbish laying around. No problems at GZ then it was back up the Rivulet (with a tailwind to start) and then onto the car. There were a number of kids today having fun in and around the rail bridge- a few were even jumping from the bridge itself. TFTC!

A day off work and it couldn't get much better than being out on the water going for a paddle. Set off in between the 2 bridges at Albion Park Rail and spent almost 3hrs paddling up and down the river collecting 6 caches and covering approx' 7km.
Rounded the corner from my last find and was hit with south-easterly wind that was chopping up the lake and making my time on the water less than enjoyable. Waves were crashing over the bow and stability was a struggle. Eventually I made it to GZ and then was happy to head into the river and calmer waters.
Thanks

I paddled the HMAS Hoojar here from the series of three caches up the Rivulet hidden by the same CO. I really enjoyed the paddle, the rain stopped and the sun came out. I saw a lot of water birds as I made my way all the way down stream. At GZ I pulled ashore on the high tide, and made an easy find.
Cheers

3rd {*FTF*}!
This one took about 10 sec.
glad to have these ones ticked off but it was a fun adventure for both me and Geodog who had fun in the mud. He wasn’t as impressed with the wash once home. TFTC
