Loved how it was a rain-friendly casheVery easy + made us discover a new little cityThanks
Great spot...interesting area, had seen the tank from a distance and can now say we've been there !! Cache soon in hand. Thanks for the hide
Never been to this area before on all the road trips we have done along the main road in this area. Great the places geocaching take us.A walk around and spotted the hide.Thank you RWIMF for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 5274
Came over this way to get some caches and enjoy a fine day before the rain comes tomorrow. This one did take a few rounds and a read of the logs. No neighbour home today. One more round and realised I had been making it too hard. TFTC
Had been working in Tauranga for the day. Had been a success and was able to leave earlier than anticipated. Might as well cache on the way home. Also a chance to get some caches that might not otherwise attempt.Awesome little place. Quick easy park and grab TFTC
I've never stopped here before, so thank you for putting this cache here and giving me a reason to have a little look around a new area.
Up from the deep South for a wedding, so out exploring the area. Nicely timed for the Cosmic Quest. Havi g collected the hobbiton ones, it's a quick hop to here. As mentioned, the coords are a bit off - about 16m - but the cache is easily found. Thanks for the cache RWIMF# 3872 28 July 2024 11:55 am
Our final cache for today! With Kiwi Does Stuff grabbing some caches slightly off the main road. A drive around the end of this street and we had a fair idea. KDS reached in for the find and a friendly muggle popped out to make sure we had found it and not spying on nearby houses. Knows all about its existence but not much more - appreciate the hide. TFTC
Out and about with Reschedule exploring not too far locations and collecting caches on the way. After being stuck in a massive line of traffic, we decided to make Karapiro our last stop for the night. The road over the dam was close so we couldn't go any further making this the final find. After quickly grabbing it, I heard a voice behind me yell out "Did you find it". We then had a great conversation with the curious neighbour. TFTC
Nice easy find. TFTC. The friendly little cat led us straight to the geocache.
Checked the area for caches during our lunch break and what a surprise, here is one. A quick walk up the street and we could proudly sing the logbook.
Nice park and grab thanks to a very polite helpful neighbour. The Whirliegigs from Scotland along with grandson Lill bro. TFTCGrabbed the bug
quick find when we arrived, a friendly cat came over for multiple patsTB drop
Was excited when I realised we had to drive over the dam and there was a great lookout on the other side. Thought it was funny that as we got closer to the cache we were ambushed by a local cat that must have caught on they could get pats from lost looking cacher's TFTC
Fun to drive over the dam and wander around the water tower. The cat that has greeted other finders is still in residence, although wasn't much help in finding the cache. TFTC
Out walking and geocaching with three of our grandchildren today. One of them found the cache - the other two were too busy with the friendly cat. Great spot, TFTC
On our way back to Tauranga & needing a few diversions.Nice easy find but the friendly cat must have been napping. Thanks RWIMF all good.
Good find. Paper log needs replacingzad if full. Have swaped a treasure within it. .very friendly local cat.
Quick find for the kids They loved the visit from a very smoochy calico moggie! TFTC
Easy find today after a short walk from the reserve after lunch. No cat or neighbour home today. TFTC
Helped by a local chap who wondered what the hell I was doing lol! Awesome spot. TFTC!
Arrived this afternoon in readyness for tomorrow's wedding. This hide was close to our b&b so came to grab it prior to checking in.
A quick find and the cache is in great condition.

Found the friendly cat too!

Came across the dam on our ebikes and found this easy cache. Beautiful properties on this side and a lovely bike ride around the village. Wonderful views of Lake Karapiro where we have been camping in our caravan for the last few days. A wonderful spot
Found after a short stroll around the tower. No sign of the cat Tftc and Merry Xmas!
Very cool location took me awhile to find the cache but after a stroll around the tower I found the hint I even found the cat. I talked to the neighbour and ask him if he was ok with people coming and he thought it was a great pastime. Tftc
Here for 3 nights on the way back to Wellington so checking out the local caches.
The g p s location was a bit out but was in the obvious place. The cat came out too - perhaps it should be made an honorary geocacher. Pity the road over the dam is closed at present. TFTC

Fiynd with Sneakykiwi..Nice wee cache. Easy one for a first timer or family group. Did not see the cat TFTC
A nice easy find and we loved the nice friendly cats. Missy mooloo was ready for a fight though. Thankyou for the cache.
I was on my way down to Rotorua and thought I’d stop by Karapiro for a cache hunt on the way. Like others I was joined by the local cat for this one - it makes a good cache guardian! The tower is an interesting feature to locate the cache at, I never knew the tower was here previously so thanks for bringing me here.
Took a couple minutes but after thinking pipe found it after waking around the tank!
Did the same circles that others seem to have done. Was getting nervous because I'm never sure around pipes (and what is real and what isn't!). Put geocaching senses on, and it became easy. Dropped off a TB.
Very cool tower!
Very cool tower!
Day 9 of my Spring Holiday. Spending a couple of days in Cambridge. Very wet today but had to drop some scrap iron off so a couple of stops along the way and then a drive around Lake Karapiro. Nice quick find here TFTC
A circle around x 2 and then there it was! A very friendly cat came over to check us out.
Apologies for the very late logging, things, like travel and getting back to work just got in the way, time flew by, and well, I'm finally here and doing it.
One afternoon in Hamilton we went for a loop drive, over some bridges, along some dams, up some hills and around and about, checking out the sights, and looking at the views - and of course, collecting some caches along the way.
Anyhow, this was the third cache we found on the drive, and No Hobbits were spotted here either, but there was a very friendly cat - maybe the cat ate the Hobbits..
Thanks for the cache RWIMF

Trying out my new MTB so rode out from Cambridge for a few caches.
Quickly spotted the likely spot.

Stopped of here on the way past, took a little longer to find the cache as it wasn't where I expected it to be, still easy to spot once I was on the right side. Thanks for the hide.
Spending the wet day inside except for going to find a geocache and to look at the bottom of the Dam. Decided to find this one to clear up the map around Cambridge/Karapiro. Nice and easy to find. Container not damaged at all. The log was not damp even though there is heavy rain. Heading to Podium cafe now to have Lunch. Thanks for the placement.
Had a look for this one after a nice lunch at The Podium. Took us longer than it should have, but we got there in the end, and the cat was sooo friendly. TFTC
Took a lot longer than it should have. Not sure what the muggle would have thought we were doing.
Decided on a quick trip from our nearby camp at Horahora to visit this cache as our first for 2022, no problem with the find TFTC.
