I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Will try and visit for maintenance when next in area - we no longer live nearby!
Hi PhilbirdboysThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
I couldn't find something. I was searching for around the tree and also by the branches. Very sad. Who ever found it didn't put it back
Did not find spend nearly 30mins looking all around for it, could of potentially been taken but unsure
Searched in all the wrong places for a minute and then spotted the blindingly obvious! TFTC!!!
Checked series of caches today and this one has sadly gone. We have replaced with a blue pill bottle and will see how long it lasts...
This cache has a long list of DNF's on it so probably needs checking. Would be great to have confirmation either way.
Found the lid on the ground. The rest is no longer around. Put the lid back in the tree.
It wasn't as hint described so may not be in the right place. Cute container but log was wet. Tftc
I found myself in Auckland this week to attend a course on Tuesday and Wednesday. Added on a day to do a bit of caching today. I found it floating in a puddle. Log was still in good nick though. I replaced it where I thought it should be.TFTC
out with alunb and agazo today, another one in the series that needed our help today, tftc
Out caching today with Agazo and nufrat, found on the ground so replaced back up where it belongs, TFTC
Out to pick up some groceries on Saturday afternoon, stopped here to do this local cache. 3rd and last. No problems here, nice camo, signed and replaced. Click and collect ready now. TFTC
Visiting in the area and interupted my morning walk to pick up a cache or two. Nice camo but it needs a bit of maintenance.
Thanks for the cache.

In the area this evening after dropping the teen at band rehearsal, and had a few hours to fill.......had managed to FTF a few of this series and have found them quite enjoyable to locate, so thought I would mix it up a little with a bit of night caching tonight.....

Had plans to meet up with a group of cachers to kayak across to Brown's Island from Bucklands Beach. Well, this plan was scarpered the night before as strong winds were forecast for the next day. A couple of us still decided to meet at 6am and go caching in the area. First, Gorby, tramyard and I went for breakfast in Howick and made a plan to target this Parks & Recreation series in the area.
Went around in circles before reading earlier posts which pointed us in the correct direction.

Fund it with company of Aiden29 and Gorby. The plan was to paddle Browns Island but the wind was too strong so we ended up in Howick to grab some hides instead.
Thanks for the placement.
P.S. Ready the Gorby`s story to find out more

A group of us were supposed to be heading over to Brown’s Island at 6am in our kayaks, Georick, tramyard, Aiden29, Jard1037, Rebel98, rustynz and myself. But the weather was terrible and the winds were hovering around 28km/hr. No way was this going to happen.
Nevertheless I still went to near top end of Buckland’s beach at 6am, Aiden was right behind me and tramyard was already there. But still it was a no go, too choppy. So we stood around and yakked and decided to head over to Eastern beach and pick up a WP for Life’s a Beach – NZ Mega ad lab. Then we would head into Howick to a fav café of mine that makes excellent omelettes. A good plan. While there at the café we decided on doing this C.O’s series of caches.
Nice to see (while I'm logging this) the C.O has updated the co-ords, thank you for that, we did find them quite a bit out. Otherwise we had no issues. We found the cache to be shoulder height btw.

Keylev and B4Dawn were childless this week so we had been making the most of it and caching every afternoon and evening after work. This was day 4 and the Eastern are was decided to be our area to cache.
A quick easy find.

As luck would have it NZTravellers, B4Dawn and I realised that all our other work and social commitments aligned to give us some free time this week so what better way to put this to use then some afternoon / evening / night caching the WHOLE week!!! This is day 4 so by now the early work starts so that we could finish early and have more afternoon caching time was kicking in so instead of aiming for big numbers we decided to get as many as possible and then head for a nice leisurely dinner to round the evening off.
Dinner was now calling so we knew we only had one or two left to do within the time we had so it was a little frustrating when we struggled with this one. Reading some older logs we realised that coordinates were off but -36.907150, 174.928392 supplied by TeamCacheventures did the trick and the log was quickly in hand.
Thanks for the cache.

NZTravellers, myself and Keylev decided to have a little get together and have dinner! However, Keylev wanted to make sure that there was indeed some caching activites to be had before said dinner! Really, you needed to ask?!
The coords were about 35m off but reading previous logs, we knew where to look. TFTC

Thanks to the previous logs, my initial confusion at the posted coordinates turned very quickly to an obvious nearby item. Sure enough, saw the cache there. Thanks!

Today (like every other 2nd day...), we had the question of what to do - you can guess what comes next.
So, on our way we thought to give these new series caches ago - how great that not only is there (finally!) a new series to find, but that 75% of the caches are within a walk or a bike from home - so thanks Philbirdboys for the series!
Luckily, before we had a deep search at 'GZ', we read the logs - the coordinates seemed to be a little out - that's ok!
Had a check in all the trees, but then spotted the very likely 'subject' - and we were right - there it was.
Sadly though, the nicely camoed and cleverly crafted cache container was out of its 'hole' and instead on the grass - didn't think it belonged there - so popped it in the tree at -36.907150, 174.928392 (the coordinates we got).
Maybe a quick coordinate check and/or change could do this well?
Otherwise, another great cache thanks!

Was bored, so contacted my buddies Liverkiwi and we went out for the afternoon and did some caching.
Co ords are about 30 metres off, could do with updating

Co ords are about 30 meters off, if you are in the area again, maybe redo them and update cache page.
We had spent the morning rearranging the stuff in the garage and were sitting down for a well-deserved lunch and coffee when a message came through from UncleSamNZ. "I know it's short notice, but do you want to meet up for some caching?" Well, the answer was a very swift yes, so we arranged to grab some of the new Park and Recreation caches that had come out recently.
It is a pity that this cache had not been released when we had come to pick up an item from a house in this street that we had bought on the local Facebook Market Place., we would have grabbed it back then.
Anyway, we walked on over from Parks and Recreation #10 which we had just found and started searching around where our phones were pointing us to. We couldn't find any cache or any clue to a cache even being there.
Then we read the previous logs. Ahh... we needed to look elsewhere. As the coordinates were not correct and we had a rough idea of how far away the cache was from the published coordinates, we split up a bit and looked at different potential GZs. It was Mr. Kiwi that found the cache in its clever little camo. Once the log was finally extracted, it was signed and the cache replaced waiting for the next cacher to come along.

Out for an early walk before the Xmas festivities begin. Never been to this park before so thanks for showing us a bit of unseen Howick. Nice quick find & great camo. TFTC

I found co-ords to be about 30m out here but we searched the obvious tree and had no problems finding the cache
Heading out on a girls caching day with Supernannny, Merlot58 and Nette1234 during COVID-19 lockdown level 3.2. It was a hot and sunny day and we walked to this cache from GC9FZM7. There were not too many trees in this park for us to search to locate this cache. TFTC
This was a bit higher than we first expected...but didn't stop 4 slightly vertically challenged Geocachers!
We were driving along Botany road when the car two in front of us stopped and blocked the one between us, The driver then got out and approached the other vehicle obviously angry about something they had done. The car in front of us then reversed straight back into us and took off. We had a chat to the driver who stopped and he said the offending vehicle had also hit him for no reason so seemed to be a complete lunatic.
This of course has nothing to do with the cache but we mention it because just as this was happening we got an alert that the cache was released.
“Might as well turn a negative into a positive” we thought and headed off to GZ.
We parked at the end of the street and our hearts sank a bit when we saw numerous branches on the ground around the general vicinity our GPS was directing us, so we wondered if it may have been compromised.
We had a bit of a sift through the debris and couldn’t see anything so we expanded our search area and began checking other spots around the park.
The last place we checked seemed a likely hiding place but we hadn’t tried there as it seemed a bit too far away from where the GPS was taking us, but we were pleased to spot something of interest which turned out to be the cache.
Thanks Philbirdboys for this very well timed cache release which turned a negative into a positive. Great camo too. Gets a favourite point from us.
