I had a bit of trouble solving this puzzle, even though I was sure I had the right method. In the end I got there after visiting the park to get a better look at the signage which helped with the solve.

Needed a hint from CO for this puzzle as I was massively overthinking it! Got to GZ and thanked the geocache gods for my moderate height and characterlogical dissidence.TFTC!

Today's task was to find caches in the Knox LGA for a challenge cache...so on this chilly day I hit the road picking up solved puzzle caches and random Trads because the planned plan did not go to plan. This was one of the caches collected today. I enjoyed this logical puzzle. GPS was slightly out, but after reading previous logs, l decided to approach from a different angle. Upon searching a particular area, I looked up and saw something very cache, like about 10 meters away playing peek a boo. Works are still apparently being carried out, fencing is still up.

After a nudge in the right direction for the puzzle from the CO I set off to the cache. But stymied by all the construction in the park but eventually made my way across and found after a short search. Thanks.

After a quick guess at how to solve this one, I soon worked out that I was on the right track and soon had some good coordinates. That was back in November 2021 soon after it was released, I just haven't been in the area to collect it.Working in the area today, the storm expected still hadn't yet, but the wind had cooled the area down a bit. As such, with a few hours spare before needing to cook dinner, I thought I'd grab a few geocaches. Blind Creek was the selected area. It really should be called Hidden Creek, as there wasn't any sign of water. This was a lovely walk, and all caches found in good condition. This took too long to find, and worse, soon doubting my final coordinates, I discovered that there was extremely limited Optus signal. But I found it in the end. Thanks for the cache, Eighth Knox.Hunter

We decided to visit a few previously solved puzzles. Looking at the puzzle again, I am surprised that I solved it.Our GPS had us moving around a bit at GZ, but in the end we spotted it in a fairly logical location. Thanks eighthknox for the challenge.Chiefton!!!

It's the 26th so no extraordinary sleuthing needed to guess why I might be in marvellous Melbs today but also seeking a bit of nature. Whilst everyone's out shopping I chose the saner option of locating a few caches whilst it's as quiet as it might ever be. And just as well....cache located quickly enough. TFTC and the FUN

Worked this out a while back then satvon it. Today we were passing by and took the short stroll. Nicely hidden prize awaited us. Thanks eighthknox

Took a number of looks at this puzzle over the past few years, but eventually the time came to actually solve the puzzle.

Noisy noisy cockatoos and ducks greeted me at the GZ.

Myself, fisherfamfive and AdamW were out to grab some recently solved puzzles and unfound trads in the area today. When attempting to solve this one, we all tried different ideas and came up with nothing, so a message to the CO would surely set us straight, we thought. And we were right, as a little oversight and an "ohhhhhhh" moment resulted in us quickly producing some numbers and acquiring the final coordinates. Once there, Cooper made a risky river crossing and soon came up with the cache. Tftc eighthknox

very difficult puzzle with a nice hike off the path and over a river to the cache TFTC Smile

Out today with AdamWickenton and CammJT for an adventure around Boronia and the Blind Creek Trail to collect some newer caches in the area. After scratching our heads very much on the solve for this one, a message to the CO followed and the reply made us feel a little bit silly, however very grateful as we would've probably been stuck for quite some time. The path to GZ was blocked off, however a risky river crossing later over some rocks, and the cache was found. Tftc eighthknox

Not our first time here looking for this guy. Bridge was barricaded so getting to GZ was a challenge. Luckily it was found safe and sound.

Having almost solved the puzzle with friends on a Zoom session, the next puzzle was to find a safe, close parking spot. In next to the sporting ground proved to be just the thing. Once again I found the cache but had call in The Walking Ladder to reach the cache in it’s wonderful, natural hiding spot.

A relatively easy sort of puzzle to nut out with a nice quick find today while we were over this neck of the woods after attending The “ Mister Doctor Event” this morning.

An early start today to find a few caches in the area.
I'd solved this clever puzzle recently, but not without requiring a nudge from the accommodating CO. It turns out I was way overthinking it while simultaneously not paying close enough attention to the info on the cache page .
A pleasant ride along the path to this one, and a neatly hidden container. No sporting activity going on nearby thankfully, so I could make the find unhindered.

Enjoyed the puzzle, learnt yet another technique. Time to go find today. Found after short search. TFTC

Found it! Continuing the mystery cache a day challenge, we visited here after an appointment and late breakfast in nearby Boronia. There were 3 potential hiding places at GZ. Found it in the third place. Fortunately I am tall enough! It may be possible to lose the cache if you aren’t careful when replacing it. TFTC SL cache is in good condition. We enjoyed a walk after our find!

Checked in on this little one and it’s tucked away in its hiding place.

I needed an unknown for the day and whilst I was out and about I was passing nearby to this one and the rest is history now Smile
A looked at a few spots in an area where there are a myriad of hiding places, eventually I looked in the right one and went home a happy man Wink

Out on my own today coming home from baby sitting. Thought it would be a simple find. Not sure what the clue means but did not help at all. I needed to widen my search here. Excellent natural hide. Thanks for the cache eightknox

Much cooler today so enjoyed the stroll here for this cache.

The cache was found in good condition with spot on coords. Thanks to eighthknox for the placement, fun and adventure.

We had solved the puzzle some time ago - a nice challenge. Today we are out with our grandkids who see this as a treasure hunt. To keep the peace one child retrieved the container (with assistance) and the other replaced it. Everyone happy and we were able to sign the log. Thanks to eighthknox for the puzzle and the cache.

Found by Rebel Acts

Another day out with Omegaman 1971 to finish off the year, this is one of the caches we found on our travels of the area, the roads were very quiet for a midweek day, but that made it easier to get around and most parks we visited seemed deserted.

Thanks eighthknox for the cache.

Found by Omegaman1971

Last caching day of the year, and last chance to get out and about for a few laughs with my buddy Rebel Acts.
Certainly didn't feel like a weekday, absolutely love Christmas holidays.
Cheers for the cache and the opportunity to add a smiley to the map.

We decided to work this one out whilst we were in the area but leave it to get another day as we are attempting to streak. We knew what was needed due to a previous finder so the first part was completed without any trouble.
Our only problem was that we were talking and ended up going and finding the cache instead of leaving it, doh.
We found one of the clips from a sistema and continued to look around where it was. We eventually located the rest of the container, some distance from where our GZ was. We checked with a PAF and replaced it where they had found it.
Thanks for the cache.

We are trying to fulfil some challenges and do a bit of a streak so we headed over this way as we also needed to do some christmas shopping.
We had found a cache nearby and only meant to attempt to solve this cache, not actually look for it, but look for it and find it we did.
The cache was out in the open some distance from where we had our GZ. We rang a previous finder and replaced the cache in the same place that they had found it.
Cache yep, christmas shopping, oops.
Thanks for the cache.

After returning from a couple of big caching days in Ballarat, we still needed a non trad today for a challenge we are working towards. Not wanting to travel too far, this solved puzzle was our target.

It’s a lovely location, with families making the most of the good weather, and kids playing in the creek. At GZ, the cache was quickly found, signed and replaced as found.

Thank you eighthknox for the puzzle and cache.

I needed a mystery today to fill a hole in a grid, and this was on my way home from the hairdresser.
I’d solved it just a few days ago. When I first looked at it, I found the “ingredients” but couldn’t find the “recipe” for a while. A real facepalm moment when the penny dropped.
Thanks for bringing me here today by placing this cache, eighthknox

Surprisingly I figured out this puzzle quite quickly... finding the cache, however, was another matter entirely! First time I accidentally went to the posted coordinates and only realised after I'd been searching for five minutes! Next I went to the correct GZ but was on my own and couldn't find it. Tonight I enlisted the help of The Rustys which could've gone either way... We pinged around all the likely hiding places until, standing at a different angle, I finally spotted the container. Yep, in a place we both had 'checked' a few times. Extracting it from its hiding place provided much hilarity but I can't say anything else as it would give away the location.... So much entertainment from one cache!

When Hera asked if I’d meet her at this cache to be the “good luck charm”, I was in. Over the years, whenever she’s had repeated trouble finding a cache, she takes me along and sure enough, she finds it when I’m with her. Maybe it’s the added competition of a second person looking for it, I dunno, but it works every time.
We combed the area for some time before Hera shouted with relief in a spot that I had already poked and prodded (but obviously not well enough). The extraction was almost as difficult as the find. The cache had been well wedged down behind a protrusion, and without height on our side, we were starting to wonder if we’d be able to retrieve the cache at all. Eventually, we dragged a log over and placed it on top of another log like a seesaw, to elevate us a little. Hera was on the retrieval end, with a long stick in her hand, and I was counterbalancing the other end of the teeter-totter. I did suggest we video this for a laugh, but Hera was already stabbing at the cache with the stick and sternly telling me not to fall off the other end of the log otherwise she would face plant into the tree. We couldn’t, for the life of us, replace the cache back in the wedged position that we found it in, so we hid it as best we could in the same nook and added some extra camo.
Thanks for the fun!

Found at 6:49 pm.
With a little spare time tonight I headed out to try and keep in front of my caching buddy Fleabag- on the race to reach the next mountain peak souvenir.
I liked the elegance of this puzzle. Well done. Nice easy find on arrival at GZ. A favourite from me.
Thanks eighthknox for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

I solved the puzzle a short while ago and today was the day to sign the log. The cache was found easily. Nice to tick this one off the list of solved but unfound puzzle caches.

Out with BoabTree, we were following the trail of KNDP caches and doing a few trads and puzzles in between. I can’t claim to have solved this puzzle, but I have a good pointer on how to. I will return home and work on it. Thanks eighthknox.

What a beautiful little spot! The ducks looked wonderful, gently swimming around as I stood and watched. But there was work to be done. After a few minutes checking likely hiding spots, I had the container in hand, and the log signed. Thanks for bringing me here eigthknox. Without the cache I wouldn't have known about tis area.

I found this cache today on my Monday Morning Croydon Cache Caper - The 2nd Sequel. A very nice puzzle to work out once I realised what was going on. Our 12th find in this linear park and it was also the 2nd in almost this exact spot. Thanks from D B-A

Been trying to expand my geocaching horizons and work on more puzzle caches. It’s been a journey and even easy ones like this was beyond me. But with an extra hint from the CO I was solved the puzzle and was off to GZ… TFTC

It's always nice to see a cache pop up close by .. coords were spot on today .. there were a couple of likely hiding places but the cache was soon in hand. Thanks for hiding the cache

It was nice to get out and about and do some caching with quiet1_au today. This was our next stop. We looked at this cache a few times since it was published trying various things but no green checker. When JMelb got home from work on Wed, GMelb announced he had solved it. JMelb had her new glasses but has to wear them in so hadn’t been wearing them when looking at this puzzle… that’s her excuse and she’s sticking to it lol As q1 said, I had already gone halfway across the creek to take a photo and it turned out we needed to continue. Once at GZ we hunted around a bit and then relooked at one spot and there it was!

Out for an afternoon caching run with G&J of GJMMelb - who had solved this one which I hadn't noticed getting published - we parked nearby and headed in to GZ. G & I were ahead on the trail as J had paused for a photo, when we realised we were off course and had an obstacle to get around. We had two choices but the closest was, coincidentally, where J was so we headed back to join her and were soon on the right track. At GZ we searched for some time, investigating many potential hiding places when G rechecked one at J's prompting and surprisingly there it was!. TFTC, I solved the puzzle pretty quickly after I got home Smile

Solved the puzzle within 2hrs of its publishing and knowing its location left the thrill of a FTF to others. The puzzle was not obvious at the start but attention to details paided off in the end. Today on the way into the office droped in for a quick find. Like the hide location with GZ abit further west then expected but still obvious. Enjoyed this one and also another calendar square fill with this cache type too sweet. Took prize. Very nicely done cache this one. [^]

Find #11716 {FTF}

A nice puzzle to start and with a little help, managed to get the tick from the checker. Took a bit of time to locate this one but after some time, the penny dropped and the first place I had "checked" there it was. ??

Thanks to eighthknox for the cache.
