An afternoon in Mt Pilot NP collecting a few caches and enjoying the spring weather and the glorious wildflowers.Back down the Old Coach Road to my main aim and to collect this one I have missed twice before. Lots of Acacia in flower here and another sun orchid (Trim this time). Certain I looked there at GZ before but clearly didnt dig like an aardvark. Cache all good.TFTC lillieb05
We have completed bits n pieces of this power trail over the years...Now with a new 'Cosmic Quest' souvenir up for grabs, and a new motivation, the remaining caches will get us the score required !!!Teamed up with indigominers and found 29 caches today, with 2 DNF's along the way, we'll be back soon to do some more...A great variety of placements to keep us entertained, on this beautiful winter's dayEnjoyed the short walks, highlighting some of the great views and features in this National Park, well done and TFTC lillieb05 & SomethingDifferentWatch out for the ants that have made this cache part of their home !!!

Was hoping to find h this series today but forgot my ladder so have yo come back. Will need to come back for this one as even though I had two good looks (at least 30 minutes I reckon) no luck here. The closest rocks to where the iPhone and GPS wanted me to be were about 20 metres and I did look them over.Probably still there (I had poor eyes today) and hopefully I will be back soon but no luck gif me you.TFTC lillieb05 and SomethingDifferent
After our 4WD adventures last night with the ️DGS️ Dirty Night 4 Driving rally, I headed out with Ronice88 this morning to collect a few caches. We got a bit distracted but eventually headed to Old Coach Road to collect some more of this series. It was a beautiful day to be out driving between and then walking to each of these caches. Thankfully we managed to find all of the caches targeted. Sorry for the generic log for the majority of our finds today.
Rock on rock on I say. Out and about with the tireless weirdobiker to tidy up this end of OCR on an all too sunny but lovely winters day. The variety of funds has been fun and we’ve really enjoyed tramping around the bush. It’s a nice change from my usual time at altitude in winter! TFTC and the lure to explore.
Let’s go streaking they (HQ) said. Well ok….
This months challenge isn’t a favourite of mine anymore but with some strategy it should be achievable.
Today is day 2 of 28, and strategy is out the window!
With rain forecast the rest of the week and today being my best opportunity to get out in the bush I decided the misty rain and wet grass wouldn’t stop me from finishing off the OCR series. There was a cluster close to Eldorado that were just a bit too adventurous for the little geokids last time. Today I’ve come kid free and prepared for some walking.
I parked at several locations and wandered around each collecting a few caches before moving the car up hill. I should’ve tracked the walking, I know I got my 10,000 steps done quickly today though!
The caches were all found quickly and in good order (unless otherwise mentioned).
TFTC!

Certain dragons act like they’re in danger of forgetting their own grandeur unless they’re surrounded with beings they can demean. I’ve found, on the contrary, that those scorned by others often have the most to teach us.

Big weekend in and around Rutherglen attending the Mega with FFLL. We had a bit of time before we had to make our way home, so FFLL jumped in the drivers seat to allow me to grab some OCR caches. Some nice wanders grabbing some of these, nice to get some checked off, will be back for the rest.

Today was an absolutely amazing day for geocaching! I woke up early, packed my bag with all the necessary gear, including my GPS and hiking boots, and hit the road. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I was ready to take on the world of geocaching.
The first cache I set out to find was in a nearby park, nestled in a dense thicket of trees. As I approached the coordinates, I noticed a fellow geocacher making his way towards the same spot. We exchanged greetings and introduced ourselves, and it turned out we were both after the same monster of a cache.
We decided to work together and started our search, combing through the underbrush, climbing trees, and scouring hidden nooks and crannies. After what seemed like hours of intense searching, we finally found the cache. The feeling of pure euphoria and triumph that washed over us was indescribable. We let out a loud scream of "*FTF*!" (Even though it wasn’t), high-fived each other, and took a celebratory picture.
That was just the beginning of our geocaching adventures. We went on to find several more caches, each one more challenging and exciting than the last. We even stumbled upon a cache hidden under a waterfall, which was both thrilling and refreshing.
As the day wore on, we started to notice a strange phenomenon happening around us. Every time we found a cache, we felt a surge of energy and power that we couldn't quite explain. We joked about having tapped into "The Force," and laughed as we imagined ourselves as Jedi knights of the geocaching universe.
At one point, we found ourselves lost in a thicket of dense foliage, struggling to find the next cache. As we trudged through the underbrush, we suddenly heard a strange noise. It sounded like a person whistling a tune, but the source of the sound was nowhere to be seen.
Suddenly, a man appeared out of nowhere, seemingly materializing from the trees themselves. He was tall and lean, with skin as dark as coffee and an easy smile on his face.
"Hey guys," he said, "looks like you're lost. Need some help?"
We were hesitant at first, having been taught not to accept help from strangers. But there was something about this man that put us at ease. Maybe it was his friendly demeanor, or maybe it was the fact that we were all geocachers, united by the same passion.
Either way, we accepted his offer and followed him deeper into the woods. He led us to a hidden waterfall that we never would have found on our own, and we were able to find the cache that was nestled behind it.
As we signed the logbook and recorded our names, we turned to thank the stranger who had helped us. But he was gone, vanished into thin air like a mysterious apparition.
As we made our way back to civilization, we couldn't help but marvel at the strange and wondrous events of the day. We had found caches in places we never would have imagined, felt the power of "The Force", and even encountered a friendly stranger who seemed to have some kind of magical powers.
In the end, it was a day filled with adventure, fun, excitement, and unexpected surprises. We were all exhausted but exhilarated, our hearts and minds filled with the thrill of the hunt and the joy of discovery.
This was a day we would never forget, and one that we knew would inspire us to keep exploring the world of geocaching and all its many wonders. We couldn't wait to see what other amazing treasures were waiting for us out there, just waiting to be found.
So if you're ever looking for a great time and an adventure like no other, join us in the world of geocaching. Who knows what incredible treasures you might discover, what random strangers you might meet, or what hidden powers you might uncover? The possibilities are endless, and the rewards are truly priceless.

We did lots of chores at home this morning and early afternoon, and felt we needed a cache fix to end our day. Plenty of water along the sides of Old Coach Road, potholes, and a number of trees down, but only one needed our trusty Fiskars hand pruning saw to remove it from the road. And so onto the caches… Rob’s rocks were pretty impressive and there were plenty of places where the kangaroos rest on our way up. Found as a part of Vic1 on the last day of our NE Vic assault. Today we were keen to tackle the Old Coach Road series while there was a large number of eyes and legs available.

Day 4 in Rutherglen with alansee, maccamob, mclookers, micaparamedic, muzza, the Morris & Rabbitoh,
We had finished the trails in Rutherglen but still had one more night in our accomodation so we decided to head out and try our luck on the Old Coach Road series. It wasn't what you would call a power trail but with persistance and perserverence we managed to add our names to seventy log books today
With this many teams to save room in the log we signed or stamped as Vic1, many thanks Wiser than Owls for the cache.
Thanks for placing these caches for our enjoyment.
Found with a great group of friends on a trip to Rutherglean. Signed as Vic1 and managed to get these ones done. This was our last day today.

So after finding Golden Views we headed back and then up another track. Turns out this track took us past the back of Golden Views and bought us to the area we were searching for. A previously dug over fossicking spot.
So whilst Mrs ILT got dirty I went for another wander. Not as great a view as the last one but any walk in the bush is fine by me anyway.
All in good condition. TFTC

Day 3: Another day with the gang made up of albida33, Joolay, Kittykatch, Fitzy_1965 and MinnieK. We decided to tackle the Old Coach Road caches today finishing up at the EC close by.
This trail was a little different to many that we have done before with some longish wanders into the scrub. But we all had a great day out on the trail which had a bit of traffic on it at times and only managed to clock up one DNF which was a pretty great effort.
This trail took us most of the day to complete but we also stopped along the journey for a bite to eat which just happened to be at the one cache we couldn't find.
Thanks for putting this trail out and maintaining it lillieb05 and SomethingDifferent

Canberra Day long weekend trip to Wangaratta. After spending the Mega weekend down at Wangaratta, there was so much more to do that a plan was hatched to visit again to do the Warbies Challenges and the Old Coach Road. A team of Joolay, Kitty Katch, FurfacesLL, Fitzy_1965 & MinnieK and I came together for this trip. Day 3. After yesterdays big efforts we were looking forward to a day of car caching. Well that is not how it worked out. After a quick pit stop at Beechworth, we headed out to the Old Coach Road Series, starting at number one and heading west. There was a great variety of caches and far more medium walks than I ever expected. Lots of wild bush and great Rock outcrops along the way. We finished the day at the dredge, seeing how badly humans can treat the land.
Thanks for the cache lillieb05

Day 2
With a long weekend in Canberra this weekend, Fitzy_1965 and I headed back to Wangaratta with several other cachers to clean up some areas we didn’t get to whilst at the recent Mega.
After camping out at Oxley Reserve, we got up early and packed up before heading off to meet up with albida33, FurfacesLL, Joolay & kittykatch. Our aim for the day was to tackle the Old Coach Road caches and others we find along the way.
All caches were found quickly and easily (once we got to them as a number are way off the road) unless otherwise mentioned. Thanks to the CO for placement and maintenance.
A tiring but fun day was had.

27,285. Found with minniek, FurfacesLL, albida33, Joolay and Kittykatch during our Post-MEGA Wangaratta visit.
After the wonderful Mega we had in Wangaratta in January this year, there were still many caches left to find. A bunch of us Canberra Region Cachers decided that they certainly deserved another visit to try and knock them off. Day 2 of our adventure arrived and we set out to tackle the Old Coach Road epic series. This was a serious trail of caches to do with quite a few walks off the main track. We drove out to OCR #1 to work our way back towards Wangaratta. Most caches were found quickly but a few had us searching for a few minutes. Signed / Stamped log as appropriate, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks lillieb05 and SomethingDifferent !!

Down at Wangaratta to target the Warby challenges and the OCR trail. It has been perfect weather and looks great for today.
Joined by Kittykatch, Albida33, Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and FurfacesLL. The OCR trail was much harder than expected but gave us some wonderful views, interesting rock formations and lots and lots of spiders. So many spiders but no snakes.
I had some interesting off road experiences and almost got stuck on a rock, only fell once despite all the rocks, logs, sticks and other obstacles. Lots of fun and fast walking made it a great day.
This is not a drive by trail but it does lead to interesting views and there were some pretty cool caches. I do appreciate all the hard work put into this and hope its around for a long time.
Thanks For getting me out and about lillieb05

Ye O'le Coach Road - back again with our caching buddies the Suscoe duo, we were wary of the possible increase in traffic during the weekend due to the numbers of geocachers attending the BIG Event in Wangaratta.
Start of our fourth and final section of the road - great views.
Thanks lillieb05 for creating this intriguing series.

Suscoe was out on the Old Coach Road early today in the very good company of Phetlern.
We had the end in mind when we came up to Wangaratta with this series, we have enjoyed our various trips to this series. It was terrific to complete the series today before lunchtime.
It was sort of mild when we arrived at 91 but by the time we reached 115 is was getting warm.
Thanks to lillieb05 and SomethingDifferent for the work done on creating this series.
We loved experiencing the changing bushland, but like everyone else recently, the spiders were everywhere.

I have been staying in Corowa with family for a few days. Today we decided to head from Corowa to meet up with caching crew and to clear up the map a little prior to the area being invaded on the weekend.
Today we targeted the remaining Ned Kelly Series and the Old Coach Road Series and a few scattered in between. It was quite warm (36°) and whilst it was perfect snake country, we didn't see any today. The heat, cobwebs, long grass and the grass seeds added to our enjoyment today! Oh - did I mention the cobwebs... We had the roads mostly to ourselves today. Good company, many laughs had and memories made. By now it was pouring rain and a real storm had developed making this part of the series *very* enjoyable
**As for this series** - I’d like to say that I really enjoyed it but I didn’t TBH. Maybe it was the heat then the rain. It really had to do with the number of micros hidden. *A lot of walking for little reward on SO many of them. MICROS! Bring us to a beautiful spot and then hide a micro?? [:(!] Not a fan of micros in the bush particularly with so many hiding places for larger hides. - Enough said!*
Thanks for the cache lillieb05. Appreciate your efforts. Nice view from here.

*Took*: Nothing
*Left*: Nothing
**Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise.

It was great to have the crew together again after so long apart due to covid, almost 11 months since our last caching adventure.
Crazy Victorian weather, stinking hot yesterday and flooding rain today.
Couldn't believe the amount of spiders and webs around here, absolutely covered in them.
Cheers for the cache

Found by Rebel Acts in the company of some good caching Mates, Last time we were out caching as a crew was eleven months ago in Mildura, then we all went into lockdown.
Plans had been made over the long months of lockdown to tackle the remaining NKH trail and have a go at Old Coach Road, we also found a few other caches on our travels around the area, Our first day it was scorching hot, I don't think I have walked into so many webs in My caching career as I did today, our clothes were covered in them, have never been a fan of micros in the bush and some hides had us all cursing, over all we had a good time and plenty of laughs. Our second day it was poring down with thunder and Lighting flashing around us, we were a little nervous getting the aluminum ladder out on a few with the lightning. Eventually is was raining so hard we decided to pull the pin around lunch time and head for home.
Thanks lillieb05 for the cache.

The five of us were in Wangaratta for a couple of pre-mega caching days! This trail became the focus as we began, the wrong way - from #115 in the 38 degree heat and ended (rained out, wet and cold) the next day coming in from #2. Thanks to all of the cache owners for the cool series.

Boy was I glad we were doing all this backwards today as that meant it was downhill all the way to this one from the last golden cache, wouldn’t like to be walking up that hill in this heat today.
Anyway, the Garmin still didn’t know exactly where it wanted to point despite there being not too many spots it could be, but I found it and scribbled my name in the log.
Not a bad stroll along this bit.
Now, back to the car and more grass seeds/cobwebs.

A hot part of the afternoon to start caching in the long grass, but BB wanted to get FTF on her namesake cache, so off we went with Chewin to do one cache.
Then there was mine, then there were a few close to the road, etc.
We still have several to come back to though.
The rocks across the valley certainly made for a nice view. Missed the goanna though!
Thanks very much for this cache, I am honored.
A {FTF} for us here.
Thanks, Robmc.

We still have several to come back to though.
The rocks across the valley certainly made for a nice view. Missed the goanna though!
Thanks very much for this cache, I am honored.
A {FTF} for us here.
Thanks, Robmc.
After attending the Event in Eldorado with many other teams the 25 new caches were finally published at 4.00pm. We continued to chat for a while and then the CO's mentioned that there were caches named for me and Robmc so we thought we had better go and try to get FTF's on those, at least.
{FTF} at 5.00pm with Robmc and chewinprickles. We parked near the teapot and walked in to this one. What views, how fantastic and Rob did find his tribute cache. Chuffed that we are momentarily famous. Thanks for the cache.
