Out and about today and I decided to check the map to see what was nearby. I find myself with time to kill so I stopped by here for a find. Many thanks to Looking4Pluto for placing and maintaining Shearn Memorial Park. I found it, I signed it, and put it back as found.

Out for a little geocaching drive on Easter Monday and this was one that I stopped off at. All quiet here today... could see the likely host was empty as I was parking the car so nipped over here quick before anyone came along Smile Fortunately found the cache in the first spot I checked! So a super fast find here today Smile TFTC

Dropped by earlier in the day but a few mums were sitting watching the kidlets play. Came back after grabbing other caches and only a small family on the play equipment. They took no notice of me so I was able to grab the cache. TFTC.

Quick find for Leap Day.This is my 1031th find!Today is the last day that Notos, the summer wind, will blow before Eurus, the wind of autumn takes over. Thus, an Oh Hellos tribute:There's an eerie quietOn the southern leveesWith a halcyon sky andAtmosphere gone heavyBecause there's a wind arising with the ire of VenusTugging at the surface of the seas between usAnd it's catalyzing with a breath of calefactionA thunderous disturbance, and for every action, a reactionAnd the rush will take you awayLike you're caught in the undertowAnd you will drown in the wakeOf the things you lost to the winds of NotosBut the water's rising (quicker than light and sound)From the seas within me (coming up from the ground)And I try to fight it (cumulonimbus clouds)But I drain completely (cover the sun and drown it out)Every inhale I take, swallows the ocean whole, and I am oneWith the hurricane, tall as the tide that laps with a rabid tongueWith every exhaleI break you down with a fury, I lay the hills undoneLike a dog gone untamed, bellowing out a river from my lungsAnd the rush will take you awayLike you're caught in the undertowAnd you will drown in the wakeOf the things you said that you can't take back, noAnd every word you shouldn't sayWill come bubbling out of your throatBut you've got no one left to blameFor the things you lost to the winds of NotosYou gotta let go### WORD OF THE MONTH ###tintinnabulation | tntnabjlen |## noun ##a ringing or tinkling sound: the tiny tintinnabulation, faint as fairy bells.# ORIGIN #mid 19th century: from Latin tintinnabulum tinkling bell (from tintinnare, reduplication of tinnire to ring, tinkle) + -ation.

02-Sep-23
Very quick grab here on a wintery day. Some of the old timers may remember a old hide not too far from this spot.

14-Jul-23
Walking around the area doing a scavenger hunt picnic and was lucky enough to pass a couple of caches along the way.
Spotted this one as I was walking up and headed off to collect our drinks.

Thanks Looking4Pluto for placing Shearn Memorial Park for me and others to find.
I added my name to the log at 11:21 on 14/7/2023.
This is find number 7469 for me.

28-May-23
Definitely had to climb up to get this one! TFTF

14-Apr-23
We dropped in at this one but unfortunately there were people making use of the shelter to keep out of the rain so not wanting to jeopardise the cache we just moved on, maybe next time.

14-Apr-23
And it's still raining.

07-Apr-23
Quick stop in the rain. TFTC!

02-Apr-23
Found it. TFTC Looking4Pluto. In the area with some spare time, couldn't think of a better thing to do than get a smiley, replaced as found.

28-Mar-23
Another good day for public transport caching! bus, train, bus, walk to unexplored territory.
This one took some perseverance and muggle dodging but found in the end. TFTC!

01-Mar-23
After DNF and the last time and a few other attempts where GZ was always occupied I friendly managed to find this one.
It was earlier in the day so the sun was not shining in my eyes so looking into the dark corners was much easier.
This would be a perfect cache for a night find with a torch.
Also since there are no kids on the play equipment I may get out the metal detector detector and have a quick look for some coffee money.

23-Feb-23
Very nice find with woolwood9 today. We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.SL *tm/ww NZ*Thank you for putting this cache out for us to visit!

22-Oct-22
Find 10 of 10 with a single DNF on a mega day of caching and Adventure Labbing by bike, centred on the CBD but covering 45km. We completed 6 full Ad Labs in Kings Park, East Perth, Highgate, Mt Lawley and Maylands, and on the way cleaned up almost all of the physical caches around.

Mrs O was soon on to this one.

TFTC Looking4Pluto!

A quick find and retrieval for Mr fratra.

TFTC Looking4Pluto this is find #12668 for us.

30-Sep-21
We were driving down Beaufort St last night just as this cache was published. However, Deefa71 was in no mood to indulge me a little night time caching - even if a FTF was in play - as (according to Mr Grumpy) he had already sufficiently indulged me by begrudgingly sitting through a cinematic screening of Nicholas Cage's latest arthouse offering: "Pig".

So I had to accept a lowly "F(ifth)TF" this morning on my drive to SIDE for a meeting. Cache was an easy find with the muddy footprints on the bench giving the location away. TFTC Smile

My attempt at achieving my very first FTF didn't quite work out this evening, but I did learn some helpful tips from the successful cacher that I stumbled across at GZ.

Second to find will just have to do.
