TNLN SLThanks for placing and maintaining this cache DARKSIDEDAN
In Canberra for the mega. Out today with Team737 finding. a few in the area. The weather is brilliant and we are having a great time. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Massive caching days continue. My online logs do not match with days found simply because I cant keep up with online logging sorry. My alliance of 5 all from WA are three young fit boys and two less young ladies who try to keep them honest. We have been up trees and ladders way more than I like and, like all geocachers who insist on wearing shorts in hot weather, our legs are ripped to shreds from hiking. Logging WAC since the three boys usually cache with a fourth called the Cockburn Crew based on their LGA. Having an almost totally cleared map locally, its difficult to explain the excitement of having a map that has caches literally everywhere. Ive cached in Canberra once with my partner and also at the Queanbayen mega but theres still so many to find. Long days and during the few hours allocated to sleep Im so sore I barely sleep anyway. Thanks so much for your contribution to making the days so exhausting and enjoyable. Much appreciated!
Out and about again, headed around Canberra for the MEGA. Super excited my first MEGA and heading over with 2 others from the Cockburn Crew - signed log as WAC to save time. This is 14487, hoping to clock over the 15,000 finds in the week in New South Wales and ACT.Thanks to DARKSIDEDAN for the caches we found.********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024 OZMEGA2024********** ********** ********** ********** ********** **********Head over to Australian Capital Territory for Capital GeoBash MEGA - Canberras first ever Mega Event. Heaps of challenge caches, hikes for geocaches for all levels of skills and fitness.
The Cockburn Crew are on tour at the Capital Geobash in Canberra - travelling from Perth to Sydney, Canberra, Sydney and finally back to Perth.Today was day 2 and we had an absolute blast. After being up late last night we backed it up again this morning with an early start to make the most of the cooler weather and lack of muggles in the morning cold. We completed a huge number of trails, challenges, whereigos, traditional, multis, earthcaches, labs, virtuals and puzzles. It really was a great day for variety. We enjoyed the large number of virtuals, and caching in territory we havent been before. Weve filled our boots with some of the oldest caches in Australia, some rare DTs and DTTs and generally had a great time. Thanks to the COs for a great day and event. Logs signed as part of team WAC (WA Crew)
Day 6 of my Canberra Mega adventure. Out caching with the members of the WAC crew. The day looks to be another sunny day, so a great day for geocaching . Very happy to claim a smiley here . WAC members- Barnzy12, Lachie1.17, legs5 and Neva2old Log signed as WAC
Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. All logs have been signed as WAC to save space, abbreviation for Western Australia Crew. Cheers DARKSIDEDAN! Join us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!
Found with fitzy. We were out and about enjoying the warmth and daylight savings while we can. All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated. thanks DSD.
34,183. Found with minniek during a short walk through Aranda Ridgeline Reserve. This small batch of caches have been on our radar for a while now, and today was the day to get them. After the fishing pole cache we continued up the powerline track for a few more caches including this one for a quick find. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on to the next cache on the list. Thanks DSD !!
4th of 4 found today.FFP went up as I headed down and then sharply up to this cache. I wandered around a little before locking on the right spot. Almost took a wrong turn on the way back to the track which could have been amusing/embarrassing.the cache is in good condition.TFTC DARKSIDEDAN and the Jenny.
A pleasant walk through Aranda Nature Bushland Reserve today enjoying the nice weather and finding a few caches. Lovely to see the wattle trees in bloom.
A quick find in a suspicious pile of rocks, back onto the track and to the car. TFTC
Almost back to the car after spending a few hours walking around, up and over the Aranda bushland area.
It has been a lovely day exploring this area, and this one was a great way to finish our walk today.
Thanks Darksidedan

Lowered myself from the main part and found the rocks. Wrong rocks initially! But recalibrated and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks!
Nearly DNF lost pen on the way down but luckily found it not far away great spot , great day for a short caching trip.
We made a quick find. Cache and log are good. I left a packaged, new, bead necklace. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.
Found it, not before a run in with the previously aforementioned orb weaver spider though!
Picked up this nice little trad today while doing the nearby multi. Lovely big orb weaver spider as we started to go bush

Picking up a nearby multi and decided to get this one as well. Quick find though we nearly had a brush with a large spider. It was pretty unhappy to be disturbed as we walked by. Lovely day to be out and about. TFTC DSD
#1653 After finding a cache not too far away made the most of the time to pick up one of the Flags series. Thanks again DARKSIDEDAN!
Found during a morning trek around Aranda Bushland. I bush bashed a bit for these Flags of the World ones which was challenging at times but all good in the end. Quick find. TFTC DSD!

Found on a lovely not-very-summery day. Thankfully the rain from this morning stopped so it was a nice cool day, perfect for walking.
Parked on Bindubi and headed down the southern edge of the reserve before looping all the way around to the top, before then coming back down the powerline track.
Thanks for placing

#12447 - 12:46:00 PM; Needed a multi for my daily challenge today, so set off for what looked like (and proved to be) a straightforward multi in Aranda. Grabbed a couple of trads in the 'Flags of the World' series while I was in the area too, including this one which was my first stop. Luckily the long grass on my approach to GZ wasn't wet today! TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
I took the younger GeoTeen and The Dog (who is a bit fragile right now with a sore leg) for a lovely walk through Aranda bushland targeting these new caches. A lovely, albeit damp, short stroll of about 3.3km with 110m elevation gain.
All caches found without issue at GZ and unsurprisingly in very good condition.
Thanks, DSD - a great little trail.
A random pic from today's adventures attached.

To-day a clear spring day, to-morrow a resumption of the rain possibly. Spent the day on the north side of Canberra for about 20 caches newly published. TFTC.
Found with Tankengine and a nice reserve to walk through with all the flowers out. Easily located in good condition with lots if flowers about. Thanks for the cache darksidedan.
Continuing collecting the flags series, I headed out to Aranda this afternoon to walk the loop and grab these few caches. Nice open country to walk through, and lots of orchids out in this area as well. All caches found quickly and all OK.
Thanks,
Thanks,
A short walk around her with Dino and Wilma taking in the nice flowers growing here so plentiful atm. A bit along a bit up and back to the car was all there was time for before we had to get back to pebbles. I manged to not take a pen with me this time and included a photo.
Thank you DARKSIDEDAN for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

A bunch of new caches published close to home, I couldn't resist any longer. Thanks DSD.
The Omnia Monday evening walk visited the Aranda woodland this afternoon which provided the opportunity to seek out several geocaches. This cache was a straightforward find, being in a spot obvious to geocachers on the coordinates. Thank you DARKSIDEDAN for installing and maintaining this cache.
**This Cache:**
Another good hide in Aranda Bushland on our walk in this area on this day, thanks DSD for inviting me along and for the cache
**Lockdown:**
DSD had plans to hide lots of new caches for people to enjoy once lockdown was lifted, and invited me along each time to help out. My primary task was joint coordinate taking for accuracy, radius checking and bookkeeping of specific cache details. DSD came prepared with maps of where he wanted to hide caches each day and plenty of containers and cache hiding expertise up his sleeve due to his sheer number of hides!
This cache was placed either before, during or after the ACT Lockdown. The hidden date might not be accurate as that is when the cache page was made up and designed by DSD. I have tried to log this cache on the day it was hidden however when I have that information recorded.
