This was the eleventh of fourteen finds for the evening. It was a quick and easy find.It was about here that I worked out why there had been the smell of smoke on the night air. There had been fire go through, though I know not if it was a planned fuel reduction burn or unplanned. Either way, it was kinda cool and kinda creepy to be walking through it at night by moonlight!! Luckily, the fire had gone right around GZ and the cache was still safe and in good condition. Thanks for the cache, DSD! * * * * *I set out after work the start finding the geocaches in this area. The sun was just setting as I found the first one; with every cache that I found after dark, I decided to keep going. I finished the series and hour after dark, by the light of the waxing gibbous moon. It was a glorious night out, and I was happy watching the stars in the heavens and my moonshadow on the path ahead of me.
14th of 14 found today.FFP and I had thought about coming out here on a 32 degree day and thankful we didn't. Warm enough this morning and with the added no shade ([^]) would have been unpleasant.Decided to grab the remaining ones here that I have showing on the GSAK filter. Pity the area is not particularly looked after s the open landscape is pleasant to walk through, noting the little shade. Most finds were quick which is one reason I prefer nature park hides to the urban variety. Wandered mostly off track watched by various parrots and mobs of kangaroos. Tried my best not to disturb the numerous orb webs but sometimes it just happens, and other times you bounce off. Sorry for the mostly generic logs. The cache is in good condition.TFTC DARKSIDEDAN and the ice.
Another flag. This time we were walking in the beautiful Kama Reserve. This series has taken us over many kilometres and the series is spread far and wide. We enjoy all of the walks that take us through this series. It is often interesting to read about the flag as well, particularly if it is something that is unknown to us. We guessed the correct country for this one, but were not familiar with the region. Thanks DSDDomsky
Haven't been out caching for a long time so decided to head out today. I haven't done the Kama caches before as it is a no go zone for the geodog. I no longer have the geodog so thought I would head our for a good walk. This was the fourth cache of 13 for the day.

Since I was running out of time to complete Signal's final Labyrinth challenge, I took an extended lunch break and came out here to Kama to find some geocaches prior to school pick up. I left later than I wanted some my walk became a speed walk as I battled through the throng of butterflies (common browns I think). Aside from the wildlife, I had the whole place to myself. This cache was a nice easy find. TFTC
A perfectly lovely afternoon to be wandering around enjoying the scenery with the bonus of company and caching. Found with barb2e, Kittykatch and Albida33.
Thanks for getting me out and about DARKSIDEDAN

Found on a walk in this lovely reserve. Beaut afternoon to be out walking the trails. Thanks for hiding this cache DARKSIDEDAN for me and others to find.
fitzy_1965 & I joined FurfacesLL, RapidlyWild & albida33 for a nice jaunt around Kama after work this afternoon.
It was a great couple of hours with the wind blowing just enough to keep us cool.
All caches found quickly and easily.

Arranged a day to go for a wander around Kama with fitzy_1965, minniek, Rapidlywild and albida33 to collect a few caches, we all had all the same ones to collect whereas albida33 only had the one new puzzle out here to collect.
All caches were found in good order. Lots of chatting on our journey which made for an enjoyable wander after work.
Bit of a bush bash into this one. Cache found in good condition.
Thanks for the hide DARKSIDEDAN

Received an invite to join minniek, FurfacesLL, fitzy_1965 and albida33 on a little stroll around Kama Reserve. Was a nice Friday afternoon stroll with plenty of chatter.
Minniek found this one first, so log was signed and cache replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache placement DSD and thanks for the invite along

29,951. Found with minniek, FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild and albida33 during a (thankfully) short lop around Kama this afternoon.
The clan gathered for this planned walk, and unfortunately for me I started to feel crook straight away. I struggled along for the walk, but was really just a passenger for it. The main aim was the new-ish HMTI Kama, but most of us had eight Trads on offer as well. I usually love walking around here but not today. This was the next find with Rapidlywild doing the honours. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks DSD !!

Cache 9556 on 7 Jan 2023.
Decided to head out early for a walk and a few caches. ZQX joined for the exercise! Found four from four caches and did some maintenance on one of my caches while in the reserve.
Detour off the track for this one, but managed to follow a footpad nearly all the way to GZ. Quick find.
Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache and the fun!

I reckon the hint for this hide might be the COs favourite word, given how frequently it pops up on hides by DSD A quick find and a nice flag theme. Thanks for the cache

In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We (the pants people) pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.

Happened to be passing and had a spare hour to fill in. All attempted in the Reserve were completed with one DNF due to wet conditions underfoot. A pleasant morning's walk although pretty cold first up. TFTC DSD
Found on a big day of walkin'! Easy find, the hide is nice and snug! TNLNSL. TFTC DSD!
#1982 My first Flag find in a little while and this one was a quick find after starting a mob of kangaroos nearby. TFTC DSD.
I decided to do a few caches around Belconnen that I had not been able to get to recently today. I started with three caches in Kama reserve. The long grass was wet and seedy, but wet feet ere nothing new. It is great to see Whitlam growing, we may have lost bush land, but at least caches are going in. The final for today with the new Pinnacle multi. As ever, a nice walk. The work that has been done to clear up some of the fallen trees is amazing. The benches look very impressive.
Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN

Bit paranoid after a spider was sharing the handle of a cache I found recently
A quick find after a relaxing walk in the rain. That grass is getting longer! TNLNSL TFTC
#12574 - 12:39:00 PM; The daily cache find challenge saw me head out on a solo mission around the Kama Reserve and Whitlam thisafternoon. Managed 10 from 10 to get the numbers I needed, which also ticked me over to my most productive caching year! Second stop after heading cross country for a nice quick find and sign. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
Walking around the reserve grabbing a few caches and this was the next stop. No issues at GZ and the cache was soon in hand and the log signed. Bit wet underfoot otherwise all good.
Thanks DSD...

To-day a clear spring day, to-morrow a resumption of the rain possibly. Spent the day on the north side of Canberra for about 20 caches newly published. TFTC.
Went for a walk around Kama today to pick up a few of the new caches- the paper daisies and native flowers are in full bloom and very impressive ️
Another short catchup with my caching colleague today. We are on a quest to clean out as many north-side caches as possible in the short time we have given our respective school and home duties.
We swung by this location to pick up the remaining three caches before parting ways. The grasses are dense and high in places. Fortunately the key paths have been recently mowed making it easier to see for snakes. The wildflowers are gorgeous, varied and prolific as are the insects . The whole area is teaming with birds mainly a large variety of parrots
A man was walking his 2 & 4 year old daughters while also taking photos with his fancy camera . The children were playing on the edge of the long grasses and rolling on the ground. As I was petrified of encountering a snake I ask him if he was aware that there were snakes in the area. The good news - he was concerned and aware. He went on to say, that the last time he brought his kids here they saw a snake and chased after it but they were just not quick enough. So he felt confident that they were safe from each other. OK, then! Great to know he’s aware! Yikes
Quick and easy find well away from the long grasses. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.

Now that remote learning has ended and the last GeoTeen has finally returned to school I'm getting a bit more time in my days to visit some of these caches on the other side of town that have been on my to-do list for a while.
Today I caught up with a caching buddy for a short stroll here - luckily I didn't spot any slithering reptiles today.
Thanks, DSD.

**This Cache:**
This is one of DSD's more recent hides! We hid this cache whilst finding Flintstone's two new cache in this reserve that were published straight out of lockdown. Walked past this area and thought it was another good spot and was glad to see there was nothing else here! The hide is quite good too, be careful retrieving, I recommend using a stick first!
**Lockdown:**
DSD had plans to hide lots of new caches for people to enjoy once lockdown was lifted, and invited me along each time to help out. My primary task was joint coordinate taking for accuracy, radius checking and bookkeeping of specific cache details. DSD came prepared with maps of where he wanted to hide caches each day and plenty of containers and cache hiding expertise up his sleeve due to his sheer number of hides!
This cache was placed either before, during or after the ACT Lockdown. The hidden date might not be accurate as that is when the cache page was made up and designed by DSD. I have tried to log this cache on the day it was hidden however when I have that information recorded.
