Logs
Nice walk to get here, one item in the container scared the crap out of me when I opened it, I left it for the next unsuspecting catcher
Cache coordinates were claimed to be incorrect by approx 8 meters.Visited cache with different GPS unit than the one used to originally record position.Did 10 minute data log of cache location once per secondProcessed data log position distance from published cache and charted.Published position was VERY close (1.5m) to data log and well with the limits of non differential GPSand the number of decimal places available for the LAT LON on geocaching.com

I had met up with BecknMonts in Castlemaine this afternoon. After our visit, I was heading home and made a short detour to look for Nicks Loot. Parking up, I headed up the track and made a quick find.
Thanks Adamd66 for placing this cache.
Thanks Adamd66 for placing this cache.
I used Claybols clear instructions and went uphill from 230m out.
Nice stroll in the spring sunshine, wildflowers and views.
Lovely to see an ammo can too.
Thanks adamd66..

We read the logs of previous finders, deciding which way to go. The 230m trek Claybol took suited us, the walk was invigorating, there were even a few wildflowers. The familiar container was soon in hand.

Staying up at Castlemaine for the weekend and I had a great day yesterday touring around the suburbs of Bendigo finding plenty of caches and having lots of laughs with GemmaSistema.
A new day and as I was meeting my kids for lunch I had time to seek off earlier enough to find a few more in between.
Headed off towards Maldon to hopefully change a sad face to a yellow smiley but a detour off into the bush at Muckleford was first.
After completing those tasks it was time to head back to Castlemaine for a catch up with the kids lunch date.
Got a call from the kids to say that V/Line are having issues so they will be late so a couple more caches around the area before lunch.
Thanks to claybol for the suggestion on a good way in to here.
A nice drive around the plantation and I was soon at the base of the hill.
Huffed and puffed my way up and I was rewarded by a great view and soon found Nicks Loot as well.
Thanks adamd66 TFTC.

Find #2643 for me. Found at 8:11am with my dog Bonnie. We were on our way from Bendigo to Ballarat, but I decided to make a short detour to grab this one on the way. A preview of the area from home suggested that the best way in would be via Sawmill Road, Vanstan Road, Haws Road then Hawes No. 1 track (approaching from the north) and this turned out to be a favorable route in my small 2WD. There were lots of kangaroos out this morning, so I drove very slowly in case any of them jumped out in front of me unexpectedly. After parking about 230m from the cache, we made our way up the hill which was good exercise for both me and Bonnie. Once at GZ I made a quick find. This was a fantastic location for a cache, with some impressive views from GZ. Thanks so much for bringing me here this morning adamd66 and thanks for the cache!
Whooho, our cache number #16000!
A nice hide with some great loot!
Loved it.
We saw this cache pop up last weekend but bypassed it on our way to Bendigo.
We figured that we would pick it up sooner or later on our geocaching days and today it is!
We followed Google as far as we could which took us through the pine plantation and we must say that with most of the trees currently harvested that we had great views and enjoyed the car trip.
Where we parked we had a foot track leading almost directly to the cache.
We also noted a mountain bike rider pass close by while at GZ. Which was actually the forerunner of the mass bicycles which were using the track near the cache momentarily. So be careful and lookout for mountain bikes in the vicinity.
The wild flowers today included mint bushes ( that we may investigate for our garden), paper dasies, blue bells, common Heath, Hibertia, rice flowers and many other little beauties.
The cache was easily found and a great size, chockers full of goodies. Very nice and impressive indeed.
Mr Riddell commented, though that he would have painted the box so as to remove any concerning military terminology.
Thanks for bring us to this lovely location in the Box Ironbark Forest, and we are having spectacular Geocaching weather.

Slight detour off my hike route. Thank you. The newest cache I've found
A lovely bit of bush at the moment full of flowers, a great walk and a great well stocked loot box, thanks for showing me the area.
First to find ... 4 pm 12th October 2021. A nice area for a walk - lots of wildflowers to see on the way. I came in from the south track. Thanks for the cache - well stocked.
