A cache trip to Penrith and the Blue Mountains with a large group from Canberra, signing with CPI24. A number of caches planned and others added on the fly. A fun group outing on a beautiful spring weather day. This cache: A quick find along the way. Challenges are fun! Thank you ws_cachers for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
A caching weekend in the Penrith area with a group of canberra cachers. Prior puzzle solving had a wealth of caches, more than we could do but made for full days and plenty of choice. Log signed with team name CPI24. (Canberra Penrith Invasion 2024) The group is MinnieK, Fitzy_65, joolay, Contesta, Flintstones, sacada, Gliss, Nibletricecakes, Tankengine, dty73, Youban and myself.Weather was nice and warm and company great. A challenging weekend at times with my ongoing health issues but managed best I could. Lots of events, morning catch ups to focus our day with dinners to relax at the end. Good to meet local cachers at them too.The Saturday was a local busy day, puzzles and others as we passed. Sunday was the pretty day up in the blue mountains with scenery and short walks. Monday was another local day of groups and some independent caching to round out the weekend.
After completing the Nepean River parkrun, Nibletricecakes and I met up with a group from Canberra for a day of caching around Penrith. We had success with most of the targetted caches - many of them puzzles that had been on the solved list for a loooong time. There were a couple of DNFs - a reason to return in the future. Found with Tankengine, Youban, fitzy_1965, minniek, Joolay, contesta, Aquilus1, sacada, DTY74 and Nibletricecakes. We signed as Canberra Penrith Invasion 24 (CPI24)
Found with minniek and the rest of the Canberra Penrith Invasion 2024 Group (consisting of joolay, Contesta, Flintstones (Sunday Monday), sacada, Gliss (Saturday), Nibletricecakes (Saturday), Tankengine, dty73, Youban and Aquilus1 - signing as CPI24.With a long weekend upon us a plan was hatched to do another Penrith Invasion as there are still many quality caches up here that we haven't found. We drove up early this morning and the group gathered at the Panthers Maccas as a starting point. We had a basic list of caches to follow which worked out well. Only a few DNFs along the way which we will try for again next time. The day was a lot of fun. This cache was a nice quick find once at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on to the next one. Thanks ws_cachers !!
Up in Penrith for some long weekend fun with some of the canberra mob. Worried we may get a little rained out but the weather has held and we have had a blast. Great to be able to pick up a bunch of solved puzzles, a ton of ALs, some multis, and anything else we could find. Thanks to the COs for enabling our fun and to GLISS! Minniek, Fitzy, dty, Tankengine, joolay, Flintstones, aquilis, uban, sacada, contestsa. Signed today at CPI24. TFTC

Traveling with Tankengine and Youban for the long weekend. We are looking forward to meeting up with friends in Penrith this weekend for some caching and fun. Along the way up, we picked up a few caches to break up the drive and stretch our legs. So this cache: A really quick find after dinner. Good to do after dinner too. Less muggles. But a nice spot. Tftc!!!
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.

What to do when the world hands you lemons.errr crappy rainy unpredictable weather?Adventure lab frenzy!!! Anyway I came here for the ALs and noted a cache too close to ignore so TFTC WScachers! The Museum of fire was a source of nightmares for years after I visited on a primary school trip. Holy crap I wonder if its any less terrifying as an adult? I remember there were some exhibits where it was what not to do, and you pressed a button and Karen drops the hairdryer in the bathtub and Polly puts a knife in the toaster. Freaking terrifying.Generic overly-detailed summation of the day:Weather report: cool, overcast and a sprinkle of rain.Caching conditions: minimal muggle activity, GPS satellites talking nicely to my phoneSnack situation: optimal: bacon and egg roll from corner cafe. Grapes as a snack in my lunch boxPublic toilet status: noneMunzee distractions: one wishing well in PortlandWeirdos encountered: weird kids playing under the lookout using the trig point as a table saying this is the best day everrrrreer!Out Caching with: alone

Most people make the mistake of thinking that gods came first and then came the people to believe in them, when in fact the people came first, and then their belief created the gods.

Having just arrived back from Alice Springs, I stayed the night in Penrith, and so with the morning free before I needed to catch the train, I wandered over to GZ to grab this one. Found the cache in the first and most likely location.

This one was easy to find, which was great for the 10yo! It was a bit wet inside so I dried it as best as I could and put it back together and back where it was. I love the little container it’s in.
